Ms. Parker hits another one out of the ball park with "One Night in Glasgow" this being Sean and Beth's story. Beth MacLeod was better known as her parents wild child, wherever she went chaos was soon to follow. Most of her trouble was a result of her mother, because her mother tried to plan her life for her, and Beth was having nothing to do with it. Sean was a motivational speaker that was in Glasgow for a few appearances. They happened to meet at a local pub leaving together, where someone recognized him snapping a picture with it being all over Instagram the next morning. It was the last chance her parents had given her to get her life together or else. But a surprise benefactor provided a three month internship in New York for her if she wanted it. She was off to New York and an adventure filled with with it's own problems. During this time Sean had not been able to forget Beth, so he went on a search to find her. He was delighted to discover from her bestfriend that she was in New York. He and his manager were off to find Beth to make sure she was okay. Only to discover her in the middle of another mess, but Beth would hear none of it. She refused to believe anything, he tried to tell her. An action packed story, that full of steamy love scenes.

Sean is a motivational speaker from California and Beth is a fiery troublesome socialite from Glasgow. The two shouldn't be compatible but when Sean meets Beth in a pub in Glasgow, their evening leads to a night of passion that neither can forget.
Once the media finds out about the couple, this gives Beth more issues with her controlling, image conscious parents, and Sean finds that his carefully crafted social image is being tarnished.
Sean decides to own his side of their now night stand during one of his talks and finds rather than damage his image, the audience supports and engages with him. Beth, still being labeled as out of control by her parents, is told to go to 'rehab' or be cut off. Beth is then offered a lifeline, and travels to New York to work for a charity for 6 months and to rebuild her image.
Sean is worried about Beth and seeing similarities in her chosen path with that of a friend from college and feels the need to ensure that their fates don't end in the same way.
When a sudden meeting reunites the couple, it's fire and passion all the way. Bad press follows Beth to America but Sean remains by her side. Can the two survive the media storm determined to ruin Beth or will love win out and conquer all?

The McCrae lightning bolt is at it again when Sean meets Beth at an unassuming pub in Glasgow, they spend one night of passion. When Sean wakes up, it’s to find Beth gone with just a note that leaves him wanting more. Yet the media fall out has major issues for Beth with her parents and Sean with his social image. While Sean talks of his transgression during his talk, he gets the audience behind him, but seeing Beth in the audience takes his speech away. Yet another media fall out and Beth is at an impasse with her parents. Beth’s only real option offered by an unknown person is to head to NYC and start over at a charity for 6 months. For Sean, he feels as if Beth might be on the same path as a former college friend. Needing to do more to ensure otherwise, Sean heads to NYC to find Beth despite looking for a needle in a haystack. When fate brings the two together, it’s like kismet! Beth’s life is never her own, as she is still the target of bad press which leads the two down a path that you’ll never see coming. I love how Beth stands up for herself and Sean stands up for Beth which potentially risky side effects!

Beth is the "wild child" in the family as wherever she goes trouble quickly seems to follow. But Beth is not nearly as wild as it may seem, at least when you get to peel away her facade. Sean is a motivational speaker who travels the world and has landed in Glasgow for a couple talks. He may appear to the outside world to live a life to be envied but really his life is anything but what most people would truly want. They cross paths one night at a pub in Glasgow where the sparks fly between them. They have a toe curling night of passion together and then go their separate ways, but with some ramifications to each. What happens next is a grand tale of passion, family, conspiracies, secrets, lies, love and more. This is an truly excellent book with a story that sucks you in deep and has you hooked from the start. I loved both Beth and Sean as they each try to take control of their lives in ways that work and don't.

One Night in Glasgow by M.S. Parker is the wonderful romance of Scottish socialite, Beth, and motivational speaker, Sean. Beth has a controlling mother who is pushing her to marry a Scottish aristocrat to increase her own social standing. Beth's reaction to this is to act out which consistently results in scandals that get published in the newspapers. This results in a horrible reputation for her. Sean meets Beth at a bar and they have a one night stand. What follows is the continued threats and machinations from her mother even when Beth flees to the US with a secret benefactor's help. It is there that she reconnects with Sean. The two navigate their romance despite the machinations of others until, finally, Beth comes into her own and fights back.
This is a wonderfully written romance with complex characters and a fantastic plot. M.S. Parker does not disappoint. I will be checking out the other books in this Scottish billionaire series. Sean's family sounds like a blast.

Beth is an heiress, who always seems to find trouble. Her parents are very strict, especially her mother. So, to say Beth is a little rebellious is an understatement. Her mother keeps trying to fix her up with the horrible rich nerd and Beth keeps pushing back with a big NO!
Sean is a famous speaker and travels all over. One night, while in town he meets Beth. Sparks fly and after one night of passion he's not done with her. But, she just disappeared. He's determined to find her again and get to know her.
Sean finds Beth again and in comes the media with a photo of the mystery woman he was with. Him and her have a lot to work through. He sees so much more in her than just an heiress that loves to get in trouble. But, these two will have a long road ahead of them if there can ever be a relationship.
Great story, great characters! Passion, and twists and turns!! Sadly, people are never who you think they are, no matter how long you've known them.

Sean McCrae is a famous motivation speaker from America but is in Glasgow, Scotland to speak at a couple of events. Elisabeth (Beth) MacLeod is known as a wild socialite and she’s always reported on, on social media as a wild child. She has issues with her mother who is preparing her for an arranged marriage. Her wild side is an act of rebellion. The two meet at a local pub one night and hook-up, only to land up in the tabloids. They part and meet up again in New York when he goes looking for her. He is smitten with her. They journey is full of incidents that hit the tabloids over and over again. Finally instead of cowering she takes matters into her own hands and takes her life back with Sean standing beside her and in awe of her. This is a love story that will grip your heart. I loved every word of it. You feel every emotion through the story.

One night in glasgow is about a scottish socialite meeting an American when she's at he lowest. What was supposed to be a one night stand turns into more when he decides she is the one. And a whole other stuff in between.
As a scottish girl please note if you are writing from a scottish person point of view, just know whisky isn't spelt with a e here.
Panty Hose isn't the right word we use in scotland. They are called tights here, that's just Americans that use that word.
Other than than the book was okay, I felt like it dragged on a bit towards the end and I was ready for the story to be finished 5 chapters before it actually was.
Was a good story to read, just nothing to keep me really interested unfortunately.
I do like m.s parker though have read many of their books.

Elisabeth was a young women trying to stop her parents from marrying her off and acting out to prevent the marriage from taking place. But no matter what she did she could not get the Lord to give up his plight. And all because he mother wants the status for the family. Her actions led her to meeting Sean an American who was captivated by her the moment they met. In fact they both couldn’t stop thinking about one another, until the scandals were too much and Beth left. Fortunately Sean felt like he needed to save her and was like a dog looking for his bone and followed her. They were getting along fabulous until he mistook a situation and his jealousy reared it’s ugly head and did let allow her to explain anything, overall good story.

He and his manager, Danny, decide to see the sights and end up in a pub; where they can observe some of the ‘local talent’. That’s where he met Beth and his life would change forever.

I loved the way both characters in this story had a past that influenced their core values and also created challenges to how they perceived interactions with each other and with the public. From a chance meeting to both finding themselves and each other in the process of battling their inner demons the story came to a beautiful conclusion. It wasn't so perfect it was unbelievable, but it was still a HEA I was hoping for from the first few chapters.
If you like a little suspense, a lot of heat all wrapped up in a lot of drama and romance, this one is for you.

He learns she is in fact in New York and so their story begins. This book has a few twists and turns that keep you guessing and is a very enjoyable read.

MS Parker has done it again. Sean and Beth' s story is one filled with longing, deceit, power, and obviously love. It is about one overcoming the portrayal of a person's personality by a loved one obsessed with control and power. Sean depicts a loving, respectful, adoring lover while Beth has so many hurdles to overcome and experiences moments of doubt. Beth and Sean face many obstacles and keeps the reader guessing what will happen next. There is intrigue and there is lots of steamy moments that keep readers turning pages.

I have read other books in the Scottish Billionaire series, but they truly do stand alone with nothing more that brief references to family or friends from other books that suit the plot at hand.
What I enjoyed about ONE NIGHT IN GLASGOW is the author’s ability to craft a clever story in a genre that can get so formulaic, and the ability to surprise me with a plot twist or two I couldn’t anticipate.
The main characters are so likable even with Beth being a bit flawed and too trusting. Sean was the hero she needed, and together they burned up the pages. As a reader of an early copy of the book I can say you will find the plot fast moving and interesting. The romance is intense and steamy.

Beth is the daughter of a wealthy family in Scotland. Sean is a motivational speaker from America in Scotland for a speech at a children's charity. She is a wild child more interested in having fun than following her family's wishes, namely marrying an impoverished boring lord. Her rebellion is her way of saying "no way!". This is a great story but I found the characters, especially Beth, a little naive. Beth was raised by an overbearing mother and manipulated, but she still believes every lie Garrett fed her. And Sean believes gossip rather than the woman he loves. But overall I loved the book. Great addition to the Scottish Billionaires series!

The accent was missing.
This story is partly based in Glasgow, Scotland. They have their own accent which only was partly used by Sean father who has lived in the USA for a very long time and only showed up in the story twice and only had a few lines. Beth, born and bred in Scotland had no Scottish accent at all, which was a huge fail. You just feel you are reading a wholly American novel, all American players and set there too. Such a shame. I don't think this author has even been to Scotland not did any research into the local dialect. In the author had and implemented them then this would have been a much better read.

The heroine is like most women, stronger than she realizes. Beguiling and wiley and knows how to use her charms. The hero is the dream most women want. He’s protective and supportive and only has eyes for her.
Suspenseful and creative with the use of words as only wordsmith such as MS Parker could create. You keep wanting to look around every corner to see what’s next, not wanting to put the book down.

What a great read this was! I felt so bad for Beth, although she grew up in a privileged house, it was more of a prison than a home. Sean walked into her life at the right time, or was it bad timing. From the moment these two met there was that spark they both were not expecting. This read will take us through a web of secrets and lies, all for one person to get what they want. Loved these two together, how they formed this unbreakable team, the other needed.

Kept me on edge
I liked this book! And, I liked the main characters so much I stayed on edge expecting things to go wrong. In fact, I skimmed the many, many sex scenes because I was eager to see what happened next with the plot. The female character was a bit of a mess but really deserved a break. The male main character was pretty flawless but I was afraid his naïveté would be a problem. Overall, it was pretty good!

The story of Beth and Sean. Is full of ups and downs. Reading about Beth's life is a bit of a car crash. She feels trapped in her family. A move to New York after another drama involving Sean. Has her trying to validate her life.
This story follows both Beth and Sean trying to navigate life, gossip and each other. Throw into that mix betrayal lies and manipulation. It's a brilliant read with a side of familiar characters in previous book.

This is a wonderful addition to the "Scottish Billionaires" series and can be enjoyed as a stand alone read. This is a very intriguing read about Sean and Beth. I love the characters and the plot is interesting and captivating. It's a very well written story with great dynamics and a bit of push and pull. There is an addictive read that keeps you flipping pages. This is such a great story.
