This is the story of a love triangle. One guy is wimpy and is always taking advantage of Jo’s kindness. The other guy is kind and beyond helpful. Unfortunately, the heart only sees what it wants to see, leading Jo to make the lesser choice between the men. I was very disappointed. Jo will face years of being taken advantage of and put down by her choice’s family. Did I say I was disappointed? Yeah, very much so.

I never thought there would be a Jan Moran book in which I didn’t agree with the outcome, but this one proved me wrong. By the halfway point of the book, all I could think was that Jo should head as far away from the one guy as she could. He was easily manipulated by his family, and had serious mommy and sister issues, as well as guilt over his brother’s death year's earlier. Nothing can ever change any of that, and Jo will pay the price in the future.

I did like how the story highlighted women supporting other women. As Jo set undertook setting up a new business selling premium coffees, she was all out to do business with women, be they coffee growers, processors, or packers. Good for her!!! Women are excellent and hard workers, and they deserve recognition and championship.

Despite my dismay at Jo’s choice in men, I did enjoy this story. It holds a surprise or two which I enjoyed. The crowd-funding aspect of the book was interesting and informative, and I cheered when Jo hit her mark. While this book didn’t sit with me as well as most in this series, I still enjoyed much of it. I’ll keep hope alive that the next installment in this series will rectify things, so Jo can have a happy future.

Jan Moran is a great storyteller, so even though I don’t agree with the direction this book took, I still had fun reading it. Try it for yourself. You many have a different take on how everything turns out.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book from the author. I thank her for her generosity in sharing this book with me, but it had no effect on this review. All opinions in this review reflect my true and honest reactions to reading this book.

This is book five in The Crown Island series and it is Jo’s story and it is definitely a must read. Jo owns the Cuppa Jo’s Diner on Summer Street which is on Crown Island but love doesn’t seem to be in the cards for her but what she doesn’t know is that things are about to change in more ways than she ever thought but there will be many ups and downs along the way. Wow I loved going back to Crown Island with all it’s wonderful characters, friends and family who always pull together to help each other out and to me that is what this series is all about and makes it so special. I ended up reading this book in one sitting because I just couldn’t put it down because it was like visiting your own family and friends while finding out what has been happening in their lives and you also feel part of the story. Jan Moran is an amazing author and writer and she certainly knows how to keep her readers engaged in the story and it also keeps your attention throughout. I can’t wait to read the next book in this amazing series. I definitely recommend reading this book and you will not be disappointed.

I always look forward to a new Jan Moran book, and this one didn't disappoint. Reading this series feels like visiting old friends, and I love returning to Crown Island.

This story follows Jo as she works to grow her diner while also dealing with some bumps in her relationship with Blue. I enjoyed seeing her determination and the support she receives from the strong friendships around her. The small-town setting and coastal atmosphere make this such a relaxing read.

The characters are warm, the story is engaging, and there are plenty of moments that kept me turning the pages. I also liked seeing connections to Jan Moran's other series, which made the world feel even richer.

If you're looking for a heartwarming, feel-good novel with memorable characters and a beautiful seaside setting, this is a wonderful choice. I can't wait for the next book!

"A woman with a plan is a force."

Jo Dufour, owner of CuppaJo Diner on Summer Street on Crown Island loves her life, loves her work and loves Blue Blumenthal, one of the cops on the Island. But does he love her?

Setting that aside she embarks on a crowdfunding campaign and enlists her friends old and new in watching it develop. Will it get her where she needs to be? And will she be wholly there to accept the outcome.

Jan Moran has done it again. I didn't expect to open the story and not move until it was done but that's exactly what happened. I admit it usually does when I get caught up in these books. Join me won't you? Highly Recommended 5/5

Summer street
Jan Moran

Ms. Moran has become one of my go-to authors when I want to read a feel good story, filled with honest, down to earth characters who become your friends and who you fall in love with, laugh with, cry with, and hope with. Characters who have great ideas, but who may need a push from friends to get the romance going, or to have the strength of their convictions to start something that probably scares the heck out of them. Summer Street does all those things in such a heartfelt way that you love them right from the start and until the very end of the book. Congratulations on another great story from Crown Island, I recommend this highly. I look forward to any more books in this series that Ms. Moran decides to write.

This is such a satisfying summer read. It’s fun catching up with old characters and meeting new ones.

Jan Moran develops the story about Jo building a successful all women business. But all is not smooth for Jo who is the owner of the local diner. She has a plan, but needs some help executing and her love life is also up and down.

The characters are well developed and there are even some visitors from her Summer Beach series.

All in all, this is a great book for those summer afternoons in the hammock.

Readings this book is like going back to see old friends. Warm feelings of comfort and familiarity. As we have moved on so have they. Come see what they have been up to on the island.

While this. Book is not necessarily a feminist book, women are represented as smart,, powerful, ingenious, hard working, and just plain getting the job done.

Disclosure: I would like to thank the Author for providing an ARC copy for review purposes. All comments are mine and mine alone.

Note to the Author: Well Done.!

We are back on Crown Island, and this is Jo's story. Jo owns the local diner Cuppa Jo and is doing well, but her relationship with Blue, a local police officer, doesn't seem to be going anywhere. In this book, we get Jo and Blue's journey of love as they navigate life and their relationship with some unexpected twists and turns. The storyline is a true to life romance with a great balance of heart and drama. The writing is well done, the characters are believable, and the ending is good. I look forward to reading the rest of the series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Summer Street
By Jan Moran

This book was a joy to read (as are all of Jan Moran's books). The story follows Jo of Jo's Diner and her policeman boyfriend Blue. The descriptions of the oceanside setting are so vivid you will feel you are there. Character development is excellent, delving deeper into Blue's and Jo's personalities in this story. This book is your next relaxing beach read. I received an advanced reader copy of this book, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Summer Street is another enjoyable, heartwarming read from Jan Moran, with engaging characters and a relaxing coastal setting. It was especially nice to see more of a crossover between the Crown Island and Summer Beach series, which made the story feel even richer for longtime readers. The relationships and small-town atmosphere are as charming as ever, making it easy to get swept up in the story. Fans of Jan Moran's books will appreciate this satisfying addition to both series.

I enjoy Crown Island and all of the characters who live there. Some are *truly* characters!

This entry is about Jo who owns and runs the local diner. She is trying to expand; learning all that goes into it is interesting!

Her relationship is rocky, currently, and there are misunderstandings, as always.

Enjoy your time on the Island!.

The road to romance has potholes. This was a nice change of pace for a sweet romance. I enjoyed all the coffee information. While I have read all the previous ones in this charming series I do have to admit nothing was familiar I read so many books that I did not recall this location. I look forward to reading more about the people on this island. Thanks to the author for providing a copy. My review is voluntary.

Absolutely loved returning to Crown Island as this series is like returning to see old friends. We get to not only know Jo more as ell as her journey as a business women as well as get to see her and Blues story unfold all of which has some bumps and challenges along the way. At 7:30 this morning I downloaded an ARC copy of this book. At 3:00 this afternoon I finished reading it. I have read all of Ms. Morgan’s 3 series and this is one of the best. The pacing of the story as well as the character development made it a joy to read. I don’t want to post any spoilers but there are special moments throughout. A perfect summer read.

Great story with lots of friends supporting each other. Jo owns Cuppa Jo's on Crown Island and is looking for ways to increase her business. Great to catch up with all the locals. Officer Blue had lots to figure out about what he wanted for his future and it was nice to see him make his choice. Loved Jo's grandmother, Mamie Rose advice she had for Jo.
