Like a Palette was my first Thai novel, and it turned out to be a very cozy, comforting read. It’s short, intimate, and easy to sink into, with a gentle atmosphere that I really enjoyed. My main issue was sometimes not being able to tell who was speaking, which I think has more to do with the translation than the story itself. Still, it was a lovely experience overall and even inspired me to want to read more Thai novels.
