"Alpha Contender, Volume 3" is the third part of the four-part paranormal romance serial, Alpha Contender. Please be sure to read the fist 2 books, so you can enjoy this part of the story!
Misty has few expectations from life. Work, read, sleep. But when she hears from a complete stranger that she's actually a powerful, shape-shifting werewolf, her life changes forever.
Lindon believes he already had his shot at love long ago - and lost it. The tall, blond, sexy shifter is now only trying to keep his promise to his father by protecting Misty as she learns about her new place in the world - and seeks to find a future mate.
The only problem: she'll be meeting all of her prospective suitors at one time, and in one place. - All TEN of them! - All hot, single, alpha males competing for her heart.
Author's Note! Alpha Contenderis a fun, paranormal romance serial about one BBW finding out she's an alpha female, and trying to deal with the ten alphas trying to compete to win her. Each segment is novella length with a cliff-hanger.
Terry is the author of over forty bestselling shifter romances. She spends her spare time dreaming of dragons, playing with her pets, and watching sunsets from her home in the mountains alongside her husband (who she suspects would make a great bear shifter). She loves the wild outdoors, her fans, all readers, and getting lost in a great book.

While the reviews for this book are all really good I have to be honest and say I found it a bit disappointing, nothing really happens again until the end which surprised me after how the last book ended I expected this one to pick up the pace. Misty is still annoying me and I felt the way she went off at Lindon was OTT, yes she should have been told what was going on but in fairness Lindon was only doing as his father and alpha had requested so yes I felt it was too much. The ending of this book has been a forgone conclusion for a long while but even knowing that I've come to really like some of the other alphas and I'll feel sorry for them. It looks like everything been's left till the last book so I'm going to read that now.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Volume 3 picks up seamlessly, maintaining the mix of romance and paranormal action. Misty’s increasing power and emotional growth contrast nicely with the chaotic presence of her ten competitive alphas, each with unique charms. The story balances moments of tenderness with the inevitable tension of suitors vying for her heart. The serial format with cliffhangers works well here to keep anticipation alive, making it a satisfying continuation for readers invested in this fun, alpha-heavy world.
I hurried and read both two and three thinking I would get all my answers, but no. Ms Bolryder is making me suffer and wait for another book. Not that I didn't love three...
We learn a lot more about the players, with a relatively short read the author manages to create distinct characters and teach us more about them. Ten men who seemed like such jerks in the first book have some good points, each and every one. They show more than just a physical need, but Misty's friendship and feelings seem important to them as well. It is really astounding to see such a development.
We learn some of Lindon's secret past that no one has discovered. Misty has to decide if she should just give up on Lindon, or accept his mixed signals and take her chances.
But there is more at play here, not going to give a spoiler to those who have not yet read two. There is danger and mystery, competition and evolving personalities. Now that pesky waiting time, but I have to finish this series. You got me again Terry Bolryder!
We left Misty drowning in the last book (now you know why I run to buy the book as soon as I finished Volumen 2) This time we find out more about why she is really in a house full of crazy alpha males that want her as a mate and also we found something dark lurking in the shadows. If her life was not in enough problems with the decision she has to make, with Lindon driving her insane with want and the fact that the man it's down right imposible. I mean, really? One moment he kiss and protect her like he want her for himself, and the next he is just a man (if you know what I mean). This time the author made it again for me, another cliff hangger that dragged me at 1 am to Amazon to purchase the last book of this series. I could NOT go to bed before knowing how this story ended.
I read books 2, 3, & 4 in one sitting. If you're on book 3 you already know the plot. Not much excitement in this one but we get lots of hot guys and friction between Lindon and Misty. This one took less than an hour to read. The author tells a good story and has an engaging voice. However, as I have said previously the author seems to rush them out the door with her horrible spelling and absolutely no proofreading or even a computer grammar checker. Here we have hickie for hickey and other's for others. Even here these misspelled words are underlined in red.
Lindon and Misty's story intrigues me and it is getting better. There is a negative forme the story is for on Misty's point of view. I wish it was not so. It would be much better if it was mutual. I hope in the future she changes that.
I normally do not like when authors break one book into several parts, but this author does tell you upfront. I appreciated the warning. This is why I have kept an open mind throughout. This is volume 3. Again, when I finish volume 4... then I will review Alpha Contender in its entirety.
As the attraction between Lindon and Misty increases so does the tension. She struggles to try and get to know the other contenders, but in her heart she only wants Lindon.
Things start to ramp up and Lindon finally spills his guts. I sure wish Mr Stubborn would figure out that he's supposed to be with Misty! And what's going on with Matt??? Is he the killer?? Is Fifi???? This is just getting better and better!
This third book just raised more questions. Although Misty wants London she still tries to connect with the Alphas. Wish this had been one complete story
Some great revelations in this book! Attempted murder, lies, friendship, & just general maleness…hhhmmm. I laughed while reading this book. I highly recommend this series.
