Slaughter-Fest: An Apocalyptic LitRPG Adventure

Rate this book
Since the apocalypse kicked off with the System’s arrival, Iain Clark has done a lot of things—gathered up several of his friends and family, fought monsters and aliens alike, and thriving all the while. Even so, the battle for Earth and its future has just begun and, with the RGHIA rigging the game, things aren’t looking good for humanity.

His quest to bring more people into the war for their planet’s survival leads him and his team to Santa Fe, where a close friend has gone missing. As per usual, nothing is simple and just getting there is a pain thanks to the Grays, the cultists, and worse.

As they fight their way through the Great Southwest, Iain stumbles upon a revelation that changes everything…so long as he can do one little thing.

Survive Slaughter Earth Edition, the most devious and dangerous gameshow the alien invaders have come up with so far.

Ken Lange is a current resident of the 'Big Easy', along with his partner and evil yet loving cats. Any delay, typo or missed edit can and will be blamed on the latter's interference.

He arrived at this career a little later in life and his work reflects it. Most of his characters won't be in their twenties and they aren't always warm and fuzzy. He is of the opinion, that middle aged adults are woefully underrepresented in fiction and has made it his mission to plug that gap.

Translation, he's middle aged and crotchety.

I refuse to give 5 stars until the author consistently uses Adrian or Adrain and not both!

This is petty, I know, but can this author PLEASE get the spelling of his own character correct?! Is it Adrian or Adrain? How hard is it to spell check?

Anyway, another book, another rescue/explosion. Not a lot in the development of the larger plot happens. The focus is still traveling west, but we are at least getting a glimpse as to why Biff's parents didn't want to join him last book. And it sounds like we are in for a big fight next book.

It is about time we finally see Dominic going into the field. Most of these books make him seem lazy or cowardly. He is supposed to be the third in the triumvirate power bloodlines in this series and he has been mostly useless.

The part after the Santa Fenrir dungeon was so funny, I could not stop laughing.

Biff apparently gets extremely upset at Ian for some reason that I never figured out even after it was semi explained, if someone could drop a comment explaining, that would be amazing.

Anyway, have fun!
