Absolutely Loveable
Oh WOW I absolutely enjoyed this story! Have you ever been so emotional and into a story that nothing else registers? That is the kind of trance that Kai had put me in. This story is a stand-alone but its a part of Katie Dowe unique series, Kai is multi-dimensional as life is it covers the complicated journeys of this couple's, second chance at love, it's written in a way that its real and relatable. It's steeped in the passion of love and opening yourself to receive the love you deserve.This is a story you won’t be able to stop reading until the end. In this sparkling new romance it's funny and exciting, Maxie and Kai are teenage sweethearts when Kai abruptly leaves Maxie. There is drama and secrets with their intriguing journey. This story has all the trademarks of a Katie Dowe story it's charm, wit, a beautiful couple and the list goes on and on. Of course it's what we expect from her previous books which is a pleasurable experience. Maxie and Kai chemistry is a delightful and off the chart full of humor and love as they discover each other again. There are poignant insights about the challenges of overcoming our baggage and losing ourselves in our relationship that makes their love story feel genuine and loveable. I love Maxie combination of shyness and snark, Kai’s charming but arrogant attitude along with the endearingly quirky cast of supporting characters. This book is a feast for the heart and senses, and I didn’t want it to end. It can bring tears to your eyes, it's so emotional with characters that are captivating with a unforgettable passionate relationship.It’s a emotional journey with sizzling passions and some good laughs for balance and of course a bit of drama and angst. I wish there was more to the end but you can't have it all. Although this is a awesome series to read.

A long time coming, now love for a lifetime!
Kai and Maxie were once teen lovers, who were separated by circumstances and cultural norms, connect after ten years realizing they still love each other. Through much wrangling to get through the barriers Maxie had built to protect her heart, she finally accepted that her heart would love no one but Kai and he discovered the same about her. Their love story showed that second chances are possible when both people come to terms with their unrequited love. These Members from Money men show that they will not allow anything or anyone to stand between them and the women they love. Another great story Katie that I thoroughly enjoyed.

second chance romance of fire and frustration
The storyline is amazing, filled with passion, heartbreak, and a second-chance romance that pulls you in. Kai is unforgettable — born into a traditional Japanese family, molded by legacy, and now a ruthless billionaire who is magnetic in both business and love. He’s the reason this book kept me hooked. Maxi, however, pulled the story down for me. She started strong and inspiring, but her later indecision and constant reliance on others weakened what could have been an incredible romance. That said, the author absolutely knows how to fire up the intimate scenes — Kai’s dominant, erotic words and presence made those moments hawt and unforgettable.

As it unfolds you get to enjoy the journey with them

Wooed and Pursued
I’ve recently discovered the grovel genre? trope? This novel isn’t quite that, but boy did Kai have to make amends! He’s like alpha and swoony debonair make you melt kinda character. Maxie was all in then shattered, and I like how she protected her heart from his reentry into her life ; he had to earn her (in the words of Olivia Pope from “Scandal”)

Loved it!!
Intense read with much drama. The story spans over a ten year period with much heartbreak and feelings of abandonment. But themes made up for all the, disagreements, heartbreak and absence of Kia made for extreme situations for which he had to bear his soul in order to win his girl back. Loved all of the drama and the HEA!!☺

childhood sweetheart
Once again Ms Dowe did again, Kai knew he mess up and try very hard to make up with Maxie, I also love that she did not made it easy for him.
I also loved being able to put a face to the leading lady, also the other parties involved, think we need this going forward please.

A Second Chance
I can relate to this book because it sounds like me and my husband. We were best friends in our early 20s and we speared due to our jobs. After many yards we can back together and now we’re happily married.
