I was completely captivated by the mysteries of Thunderbird Lane and the antics of Aggie the protagonist. It became one of those books that I didn't want to stop reading even after I'd finished…. If you're looking for a page-turner to read…look no further than this book!
Donna Costello, Luna Creative Academy

Have you ever met someone, and based on your first impression of them, given them a nickname?

When Aggie Drakos loses her husband, Max, in a shameful accident, she relocates. As Aggie settles in and meets her new neighbors, she forms speculative opinions about her acquaintances, giving them nicknames to help her remember their personas. Aggie is fascinated by the Cat Lady, stunned by the beauty of the Irish Goddess, and intrigued by the Absent Nun. Let us not forget her sexy male neighbor, whom she has nicknamed Richard Gere.

Are these neighbors who they appear to be? Will Aggie’s nicknames hold? Or will she discover she is misguided when she gets under their roofs and learns their life stories?

Under the Roof is written with an air of mystery, coupled with humorous undertones. This book will have you guessing and smiling on every page.

Narrator is Aggie Drakos who moves to a new neighborhood to escape some painful recent memories.
She makes the first move to meet some of her new neighbors.
Finds out that everyone has some baggage but if you are willing to listen with compassion and offer to help that some real friendships can develop.
Fern Little- the Cat Lady, gets a cat whenever someone in her life dies.
Abigail Renderton - a former nun, who decides not to take her final vows. Also has several deaths in her family.
Aggie Drakos - her husband died in a car accident with an unknown young woman, Lydia in his car.
Richard Way - work at home, very handsome neighbor, plus pickle ball player.
Marcus and Lilly Dunderman - young couple with two boys, Brett and Brian who have no basic skills to run a household or raise a family.
Melinda and Jonathan Shasta, parents of Lydia.
Interesting way of presenting issues people have, may have started out a little slow, but got better as it went along. Satisfactory ending.

Under The Roof has been one of my fav reads of this year.
I was captivated by the main character Aggie and her wonderful way of thinking, we are similar in a lot of ways and I felt like I was prowling around the neighbourhood with her, experiencing her adventures and trying to solve the mystery of the Meth House and many other antics.
This novel has a wonderful cast of characters, each of them fantastically quirky. You’ll fall in love with Richard ‘Gere’, hangout with a self-certified crazy cat lady Fern and become besties with a ex nun Abigail.
Every single one of them has their own story to tell and you won’t be disappointed.
If you’re looking for a book to cozy up with this winter I would definitely suggest you pick up this novel!
