Apocalypse #3

Apocalypse Asunder

Rate this book
When zombies show up, the world usually goes to hell. They tend have that effect on, well, on everything. Zombies aren’t good, aren’t bad; they just are. They can’t help themselves. They destroy and consume because it’s what they do. Unfeelingly, unthinkingly, unerringly. But while a hungry corpse will hunt you down and chew you up . . . what people will do can be far worse.

What turns good people bad? It’s really not that hard to figure out. They want something more than you. They need something more than you. Because no one is stopping them. Trust is a casualty of the apocalypse as surely as safety and survival. Not everyone is bad, but apathy and a lack of concern kill the same as malicious intent. An awful lot of people will let a lot of awful things happen if it means they survive. They’ll even do them to you; who cares if they feel bad about it afterwards? Because that’s what it’s all about when everything goes to hell.

Survival.

In the middle of a zombie apocalypse, nothing is routine and nothing is normal. One mistake can be your last. With winter closing in and life stripped of all the things that turn winter from just one more season into something that can kill, Jessica has to decide which is more dangerous for her and her daughter. Do they travel across two states in search of warm shelter, or sit tight and pray for providence to see them through?

One thing Jessica’s learned amid the apocalypse though . . . help comes to those who help themselves.

OMG, OMG, OMG......amazing!!!!!!

I 1st read this book from 1/26/15-2/02/15. I am reading it again hehe (2019) so I'll post and added to my review hehe
I chose this rating because it was awesome. I would honestly give it 100 stars if I could but it won't let me so 5 it is, but it deserves WAY more. I have been waiting for this book to come out forever. I was wondering what happened to Gunny and all the other soldiers and DJ and all the other dog bikers but this book and the fact that it was centered on Jessica Austin and Candace was amazing . Definitely one of the best zombie series as I have ever read . The author Definitely knows what they're doing. I felt like I was watching a movie the whole time I was reading this book, it was just that good. And the ending OMG, I was waiting for that to happen through the whole book, I just kept wondering what was taking so long . So happy this book is out so happy that the author David Rogers wrote this series.....just amazing! I could reread this series over and over again. I will definitely be looking for more books from David Rogers and I really hope he writes more books in this series....I am definitely addicted to This Apocalypse series!!!!!

💘Updated 📚 review💘 SOME SPOILERS
So far it's still as amazing as ever!!!! I Love Jessica, Candice, and Austin. I was so worried about Austin since he got shot in the last book. He is seriously a true hero though. I mean wow!!! Taking a bullet for jess and her daughter..... that's true hero shit right there!!!!. I am still loving Peter (Gunny) and his soldiers. They been through hell and the losses they've endured suck. I was heart broken . Daryl (DJ) and his bikers are awesome still. I hate what they go thru with all their sick friends all bc someone was lazy and stupid and didn't boil the water like they were supposed to. In a world like that u can't afford mistakes that huge!!!

💘SPOILER ALERT💘!!!!! Apocalypse Asunder is so good!!!!! I Love 💘that this story is all about Jessica, Austin, & Candice! I was super devastated when Austin played the hero & got separated from them. Jessica proved she was still a bad ass even without Austin there; she is a bad ass mama bear protecting her lil bad ass cub!!! I 💘 the place she finds for her & Candice & Austin to ride the apocalypse out. The improvements she made to the place were Clever AF!! The winch pulley system are great!! I am so happy her & Austin finally came to terms with their feelings for one another as well! All I have to say about that is: It's about damn time lmao!!! Great zombie story!! A MUST READ!!!

I really liked this series, the only thing I didn't like is how the first 2 books followed 3 different characters then this one only followed Jessica I would of at least liked to check in with the other 2 groups oh well still a good book and can't wait for the next one
