“[A] rollicking, secret-filled ride.” —Kirkus Reviews

“If your intuition is telling you to pick up this book, trust it.” —Pintip Dunn, New York Times bestselling author

The future can be changed. The trick is you have to see it first.

When Liv Hall and her friends find boxes of letters hidden in her grandfather’s attic, they discover hundreds of psychic predictions addressed to the Premonitions Bureau, a bureau to investigate psychic abilities that mysteriously closed in 1993. As the group reads decades-old premonitions, they stumble on letters from powerful psychics who mailed in their predictions and then disappeared.

A post online about the found predictions alerts a black ops group in charge of the military’s paranormal research, who will do anything to get their hands on the letters and the psychics who wrote them. Liv and her friends now know too much, and they’re directly in the crosshairs. To survive, they’re going to have to rely on each other and the unlikely help of psychics who thought they’d left the dangers of the Bureau behind forever.

I love anything supernatural. This book has a good storyline about psychics.

I did feel like the end was a bit rushed and needed some more detail. The beginning was excellent.

Im giving it a 4 star rating overall.thank you to BookSirens and the publisher for allowing me to read this ARC

I really enjoyed this book!
It was different than anything I’ve read and I’ve always been interested in the psychic stuff. I’ve never read such an action packed book but it kept me hooked from the very first page! The writing was great and the characters were likable. I think it’s definitely set up for a sequel! This was my first read from this author but I’m excited to read all the other ones! I really liked the handbook!! So cool!

Thank you so much to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC copy!!

The Premonitions Club is a young adult mystery following a group of teenagers who find boxes full of psychic premonitions in an attic. It took a little bit for me to get into this book as the beginning involves a lot of teenage drama. I love Gwendolyn Womack's adult novels, so I had hoped the plot would still suck me into the story despite being YA. I enjoyed the fast pace and paranormal elements, but I found myself wishing this had been written for an older audience.

I received an ARC from CamCat Books via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I received an ARC copy of this book by BookSirens, and am leaving this honest review voluntarily.

As far as true YA goes, this fits the ticket.  The writing is very quick and easy to understand.  I had to remember it was a YA debut, at first it annoyed me. Not av lot of YA is actually heated towards YA these days, so I just had to put myself in check.
I read this entire book in pretty much 1 sitting (the 15 mins yesterday don't count! lol)
The plot moved along really well, and I liked how the chapters switched point of view so you could see how each plot point was affecting different characters.
I do think the end was a bit rushed but also after *~the event~* it felt weird it kept going. I see how some people say it could have a sequel... it could, but the ending was very prologue-esque so I'm not sure if a sequel feels right.
I also thought it was cool there was a little guide at the end up explain some of the physic things further. Makes it so you don't have to do all of your own research 😅
At first I was annoyed that half of the main characters had physic ability in some way, but it makes sense as it goes on!!

Even though the book took me a little bit to get into
It, once I did I was hooked I couldn’t put it down. It is a fun and fast paced YA read. All of the different character perspectives made it hard to follow at times BUT each one had good character development throughout the book. Definitely worth your time! While it might not be the exact same it made me think of the Wake trilogy by Lisa McMann in some ways.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC read ◡̈

The Premonitions Club is a highly original, genre-bending YA novel that delves into psychic abilities, family secrets, surveillance, and information control.

The story follows teen Liv Hall, who moves into her grandfather’s house in Hyde Park, NY, after his death and her parents’ divorce. As she investigates his cluttered attic with her friends—Jaxon, her crush with hidden psychic ability; Forester, a cute neighbor; Winnie, her childhood friend; and Nebony, the popular social media influencer—Liv uncovers secret boxes labeled “DO NOT OPEN.” These contain decades of letters addressed to the “Premonitions Bureau,” documenting psychic predictions from the late ’60s to early ’90s, many of which came true. When Nebony posts about their findings on Instagram, it triggers unwanted attention from a covert organization determined to suppress psychic phenomena. As the teens decode prophecies and discover their own psychic gifts, they race against time to evade sinister forces.

The story, centered on a real “Premonitions Bureau” that collected psychic letters from 1968–1993, features historical elements and fascinating real-life prophets and events. The story is told in a multi-POV structure with perspectives alternating between Liv, the main protagonist, and the other teens—Winnie, Jaxon, Forester, Nebony, and Matty. The transitions between POVs are seamless and easy to follow, creating a multilayered narrative where readers get to delve into the psyche of each character and experience their self-discovery, romantic inclinations, and psychic insights alongside them.

The characters are all interesting and relatable. However, because of the many POVs and the fast-paced narrative, some of the connections and conflicts between characters are not overly developed. The slow-burn romance between Liv and Jaxon is the most developed relationship and is a heartfelt respite from all the escalating tension. With such a diverse range of characters/perspectives, the character arcs are really varied by the end!

There are compelling themes explored throughout this story, including the concept of fate vs. free will, organized surveillance, and more common YA themes of belonging and identity struggles. When the teens discover that some of the premonition letters came true and begin to awaken their own psychic talents, it sparks a discussion amongst them as to whether the future is predetermined—or can be rewritten. Jaxon has the strongest clairvoyant visions but also has an overwhelming sense that if acted upon in time, the premonitions can be altered—how his theory plays out is unpredictable and rarely ends with entirely positive outcomes. To make matters even more complicated, each character has their own relatable adolescent struggle (on top of all the escalating danger they face)—sexual identity, crushes, family dynamics, mental health, learning disabilities, and the need for acceptance!

The pacing is pretty relentless from start to finish. If you’re listening to the audiobook, it’s recommended to listen at a slower speed, not only because of the fast-paced, twisty narrative, but also because of the fascinating details about psychic abilities, auras, premonition dreams, and real-world predictions that came to pass. The story culminates in a high-stakes, thrilling climax that includes a lot of reveals and intricate details—you’ll want to read the last chapters carefully to fully grasp everything. After the thrilling climax, the final chapters feel a bit rushed, quickly detailing what happens next for the characters, followed by an encrypted transmission that poses more questions than answers and may leave readers unsatisfied. Having said that, with this open-ended conclusion, there’s the possibility to expand this book into an exciting series!

Overall, The Premonitions Club is an emotionally charged YA paranormal thriller, perfect for fans of Stranger Things and The Inheritance Games. This book’s inclusion of complex and fascinating subject matter makes it suitable for not just YA readers but also adults. Those who enjoy conspiracy-driven, psychic-centered stories with romance and engaging teenage introspection will love this book!

Gwendolyn Womack's debut YA novel doesn't take a mind reader to know it's brilliant. Layered with high school friendships (and other, less friendly encounters), theories about how Family relationships go wrong, and a Universe filled with mysteries linking this group of young people and their parents will hook you in the first chapter.

Layer One begins to give you an idea of how the teens and their parents are interrelated. Shining through the holes in your knowledge are glimpses of secret skills each teen harbors. As well, jagged holes reveal painful losses carried by parents and teens alike.

The enormity of the conspiracy reveals itself in the revelations of each person's psychic ability and the price they've paid to remain alive. Not until the middle of the book, do the teens find out the "loss of a parent" was intentional murder. Other, more horrible situations are leaked out.

What I was utterly fascinated by, and held captive by the story, was the unfolding of the truth behind why everyone had psychic ability, and why it appeared they were being hunted down, one by one, until they were eradicated. I gritted my teeth, held my breath, and prayed they would survive.

Fortunately for me, I know how the book ends. Sort of. But you won't unless you go get a copy for yourself. I highly recommend you do so. I know you'll thank me after you are done with the book.

From the moment I picked up Premonitions Club, I was hooked. This fast-past written YA novel had me flipping pages late into the night.

Womack weaves a blend of suspense, adventure, and supernatural intrigue. The characters were compelling, and the pacing was perfect- never a dull moment!

If you love books that keep you guessing with a touch of the supernatural, Premonitions Club is a must-read. I didn’t want to put it down, and I already know this is one I’ll be recommending to everyone.

The Premonitions Club was one of the best pieces of YA fiction I've read in a couple of years. I loved that the characters were well developed, and the plots was believable, even with the surprise twists and turns it takes as a group of high school classmates come together and bond as they grapple with a rogue government official who they learn has affected their families.

As the title suggests, this tale revolves around premonitions. If the internet is to be believed, up to 40% of people say they have had at least one. Gwendolyn Womack weaves a situtable YA tale, which I believe older folk will enjoy as well.

I finished it overnight because I could not wait to see what happens next. Although this is a standalone book, I hope Gwendolyn Womack finds ways of weaving it into her next YA fiction.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Out of interest, I found out in England, there was an actual Premonitions Bureau, but that's not part of this story.

Already a fan of Womack’s adult fiction, I was eager to read her YA debut—and it’s fantastic! Womack nails the YA genre. Think MEAN GIRLS meets X-FILES. But it’s also a fast-paced thriller, action adventure, teen romance and family drama. The multi-layered characters are vividly crafted and the tension is exquisite. The exploration of psychic phenomenon made me particularly appreciate the bonus offering. Read all the way to the end for your treat! Highly recommend!

This honest review is based on my reading of an ARC.

If I told you I had a serious case of déjà vu while reading this book, would you believe me? Not déjà vu in the sense that I’ve read something similar to this story. Déjà vu in the sense that I’ve read THIS sentence in THIS lighting while sitting in THIS chair with my dog on my lap. So odd…

I digress…The Premonitions Club was such a great read! It was paced perfectly and it didn’t necessarily read like a Young Adult novel for me, which I quite liked. We start out with introductions to Liv and Winnie, long time friends, cleaning out Liv’s, formerly her grandfather’s, attic. They find a false wall of sorts and tap a fellow schoolmate and neighbor, Forester, to help them remove it. Forester and his best friend, Jaxson, are able to remove the wood blocking their way. Other friends and classmates, Matty and Nebony, are along for the ride, documenting their find: mysterious letters, predictions actually, addressed to the Premonitions Bureau. Little did they know these letters would alter the course of their lives, putting them and their families in peril. Psychics, government cover ups, found family, romance, death - this ragtag team has some serious drama on their hands. The author even included a Premonitions Club Handbook at the end that I thought was a very sweet addition. It covers disciplines such as numerology, palmistry, and so on. Now I’m going to need a novel where a group of amateur psychics stumble upon this handbook and unlock their innate powers, à la The Craft.

I did find two of the chapters to be a little challenging to read. I felt they needed one more pass by an editor to fine tune some of the verbiage. I felt similarly about the Acknowledgements, so it may be that these passages were written in such a way that I’m just not wired to read organically. Small typographical oddities here and there also made some sections a little more taxing to read.

I also know a ton of research must have gone into the compilation of this story. There were a couple areas in which I wish that had come through a little more. The concept of the Premonitions Bureau could have been fleshed out a bit more. Insufferable as she could be, I felt Nebony was the most realistically written character. Matty was a close second and I was pleased that Forester wasn’t a stereotypical jock. But I ultimately felt that the teenagers in this book didn’t really act like teens. At least not teens today, maybe in the early 00’s before TikTok and DoorDash changed the game. I was surprised that I clocked only one contemporary slang term. I could also see the author avoiding too much that would date the story and make it less relevant or attractive to older readers or readers picking up after current trends have changed. Once thing, though, never seems to change: high school! Cliques, breakups, cheerleaders. Some things are just simply immutable!

Thank you to BookSirens; the author, Gwendolyn Womack; and the publisher, CamCat, for the opportunity to read and review an ARC of The Premonitions Club. All opinions are my own and have been shared voluntarily.

"Dear Reader, Omens are real. They are a warning of an event yet to happen."
Well, if that didn't hook you, I don't know what will...

Immediately coming to review this because I loved it soooooo much. Thank you so much to Netgalley, CamCat books and Gwendolyn Womack! Sorry I’m so delayed :(

"Welcome to The Premonitions Club
The Future is Yours

So, again, I *ABSOLUTELY* loved this. It wasn't, like, glaringly obvious that it was YA (to me, I like to go in kind of blind, but the blindness is my automatic default to skimming the summary/synopsis), but it was perfect in every single way, and I would *absolutely* recommend it to anyone of any age. It is just about the perfect little dose magical realism and thriller, and I really hope Ms. Womack will expand it into a full series. I love these characters, and I think I want to watch them grow up? I feel like a Mother who is very proud of her very special babies.

"Psychics are born that way, and they are few and far between. A rarity in nature. An anomaly. But what if they weren't? What is being psychic wasn't rare anymore? What would happen if everyone became psychic?"

That's the key question, isn't it? As someone who has the inherent distrust of the government at large, and just people in general, at the minimum, this book spoke to me. The story is so layered and is dealing in generations. The anecdote of being able to foresee the future, and by that logic, being able to alter it is an incredible idea. As humans, we learn to hone in on our intuitions. What if there was more to it? Womack is able to dive into the what-ifs of this YA thriller with great intent. To say I was sat would be an understatement. I flew through the last 50% of the book so quickly because she kept me hooked completely. Even through the multiple POVs of the friend group, the short chapters allow for such a cohesive flow and the plot line never dropped.

"And that is psychic ability is a part of life. A part of the human experience. The mind is a quantum force in the universe. We are dimensional being with untold powers, and there is no stopping human evolution. You talk about saving the world--you're trying to destroy the only thing that can save us: the human mind. The human spirit. The human heart."

"Tell no one or you will not survive the summer's end. For those who can see the future and how its threads are woven together have been hunted by people in power for thousands of years. Knowledge is power, and knowing what tomorrow will bring is the ultimate power. The future can be changed. The trick is you have to see it first."

To impress the point here, the writing and storyline was so good that I not only felt like a teenager again, immersed in this story, but I also experienced a little bit of paranoia following the whole "You need to be careful what you post online" portion of the story. All of the characters have depth, feel fully realized and have their own potential storylines that could break off and lead on their own. All the characters are magical in their own way, metaphorically and literally. I am very excited to see if the author decides to expand this series, and am excited to explore more of her adult content.

"They were their own triskelion, and whatever challenges they faced in the future, they would face them together."

Wow!! I really enjoyed this!! This is a YA book but I think it’s unique enough where it will have further reach than the intended audience.

This multi POV book drew me in from the first chapter and it kept me flipping the pages to know what happens. I love the supernatural/ magical realism genre as a whole but have never read a book that focused on premonitions as its own main plot device and I am here for it!

Not only did I enjoy the promotion part of it but also the history added in and the thriller plot line just pulled it all together into a fun fast paced read which left me wanting more.

One thing that I really loved was at the end of the book it had a “The Premonition’s Club Handbook” which has section on the various disciplines that the book touches on. I loved that it was interactive . I found out my “life path “ number is a 2 and the description of it is spot on!
I loved trying some of the activities as a 47 year old and knew that I would have ate this up as a teen!

I’ll also mention that the book while it has relationship mentions, it has no spice and it’s completely appropriate for younger readers to consume. I would be comfortable having my middle grade child reading it without issue insofar as its content.

My only critique was the ending where I feel like it #1 got a little rushed for how much new information was offered and #2 it got a little too “out there” for me. That being said the unbelievability of it may have been made better had a little more set up happened beforehand. I don’t want to say more as not to give spoilers!

That all being said, it did potentially set things up for a series which I would be first in line for! This title comes out April 22nd 2025 and I highly suggest preordering it or putting it high on your TBR.

I am thankful to have gotten a complimentary eARC from CamCat Books through NetGalley to read which gave me the opportunity to voluntarily leave a review.

My rating system since GoodReads doesn’t have partial stars

⭐️ Hated it
⭐️⭐️ Had a lot of trouble, prose issues, really not my cup of tea (potentially DNF’d or thought about it)
⭐️⭐️⭐️ Meh, it was an ok read but nothing special
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Really enjoyed it! Would recommend to others
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding! Will circle back and read again

This almost flawless YA parapsychology thriller needs to be made into a TV series! From the moment the book opened with the discovery of mysterious boxes of letters in Liv's grandfather's attic, I was hooked!

Liv and her friends discover a long disbanded secret project named The Premonitions Bureau where people were asked to send in any premonitions they had, which were then recorded and verified or debunked. But apparently the project was on a secret government watchlist because the kids find out that key players of the Premonitions Bureau died under very suspicious circumstances. When people start disappearing in the present day, the action really heats up!!

The teen characters were well drawn and believable, as were their circumstances in life. I really felt for Nebony who was initially depicted as a shallow cheerleader who loved attention through her online followers. As her backstory developed, she was shown to have many facets to her personality and was a favorite of mine by book end. The way the three main characters (Liv, Winnie and Jaxon) had intertwined backstories was done perfectly, in my opinion.

I loved the research that went into this book. As a child of the 60's I grew up during the fascination with all things parapsychological. ESP, remote viewing, spoon bending and Tarot cards were straight out of the college campuses of the time. To find a book exposing a new generation to this history was great fun. I especially loved that the author used declassified government documents detailing their research on remote viewing in the book. The explanations of the different types of extrasensory perceptions was great, as was the handbook at the end of the book.

The book definitely seemed to end on a setup for a sequel, which I am anxiously awaiting news of. I will be looking for other books by this author as this one really impressed me. Here's hoping it gets picked up for a TV series or movie!!

This was an amazing YA debut. I absolutely loved it! I was a bit worried at first because this definitely veers younger YA as the main characters are still in high school. However, this book grabbed my attention from the start and didn’t let go. I zoomed through this book. The book starts off with our main character, Liv having to clear out the attic after her grandfather has passed. With the help of some friends, they uncover boxes of letters addressed to the premonitions bureau. These letters describe different events through the years that have been predicted with accuracy from varying psychics who have sent their premonitions into this bureau that is now closed. Suddenly, this group of teenagers finds themselves embroiled in a mystery pertaining to where these letters came from and who wants them. The book is written in multiple POV‘s so you get a glimpse into each of the characters and almost from the get-go the action is nonstop. I couldn’t wait to unravel the mystery. I loved how interconnected the characters became and how encompassing the overall mystery was as well. The detailed explanations of different types of psychics was fascinating as well. And while this book is fiction, there are many points that make you wonder if they could be true. I do believe that there are people with varying forms of psychic ability, and this book really delves into varying elements that could be possible in reality. If the description interests you at all, I highly recommend for a quick fascinating read. I loved this author’s writing and will be looking into her previous adult novels in the future. Thank you to NetGalley for allowing me to read an advanced copy of this fascinating novel.

TL/DR -
- [ ] High Schoolers with Psychic abilities
- [ ] Boxes of odd/old letters
- [ ] Not everything should be posted online
- [ ] A mystery and events set into motion long ago
- [ ] This book is YA but it doesn’t mean that those of us not in the target audience won’t enjoy it.
- [ ] This was a blast!

“The Premonitions Club” was everything I had hoped for and more.

The cover caught my eye and the description drew me in.

Oh, the awkwardness and angst of teenagers. I think the author conveyed it perfectly. I also loved the “unique” snacks that were in the house and how embarrassed they made Liv, one of the FMC. It made me laugh out loud.

This book may have started a little slow for some readers, but I liked the pacing. It wouldn’t have felt natural otherwise.

There are so many things I want to say about this book but they would be spoilers and I don’t want any reader to miss out on the journey Liv and her friends take.

This story is multiple POV, but not hard to follow. The characters are all flawed in some way, I mean, it’s high school. Very few people are comfortable in their own skins.

The friendships and relationships between the characters were real and not forced. I also loved how something found led them on a journey, not just for a mystery but a discovery of themselves and learning to embrace their “abilities” even when new ones seem to be croping up.

I love that this is a YA book with psychic abilities and intrigue and a chess game that has been going on for years that they didn’t even know they were a part of.

Not everyone in the book gets a HEA and that’s ok, really. I probably could have read this in one sitting, but you know, adulting.

🎧 Title: The Premonitions Club-a standalone

✍🏾 Author: Gwendolyn Womack-a new to me author

📅Publication date: 4/24/25 | Read: 5/20/25

🗣️Narrator: Bailey Carr, Tim Campbell, Hillary Huber, and James Anderson Foster voice all the characters with standouts from Jaxon, Winnie, Liv, Nebony, and Matty. The reading style brought the text to life, and the author and narrators worked together perfectly. The pacing and flow allowed me to get lost in the story. The narrators paused and announced new chapters and there was a table of contents which helped me follow along.

🤔 My Thoughts: I loved the concept as it reminded me of X-Men. Liv, Jaxon, and Winnie form a triumvirate that increased their powers while they searched after the bureau. They found out about their parents' pasts, their powers, and the conspiracy against them. Liv's father led the charge to end the "mad scientist" behind all of it, but the kids intervened saving him in the process. YA science fiction thriller mystery.

I liked the premise of this book where an experiment in fostering and promoting psychic abilities for the benefit of the country is subverted by the agency meant to control it. High school characters of misfits, nerds and new girl are thrown together with the cool kids by accident of a life-changing discovery. We learn through the tale how they are involved and solve the mystery of their latent abilities and why a powerful, sinister and ruthless dark government agency is targetting them after harming some of their loved ones.

Each chapter is started with the definition of a usually relevant psychic ability and the story is told from multiple points of view by announcing the character's name with the chapter title. We see how their perspectives, needs and wants shape the ongoing relationships as well as hearing more about their backstories. There is peril, excitement and plenty of revelations, despite the future being predicted by some serious seers. It's no accident that this group of budding psychics are together as they learn their own origin story. There is a dramatic resolution and a question is posed, again, about whether fate is inevitable or can be altered. I liked the inventiveness and storytelling with a range of perspectives.

I have deducted a star as there are several editing errors which interrupted my immersion and enjoyment. This is despite the author giving you a long and generous list of helpers and supporters, including several editors.

Having loved Gwendolyn Womack's The Fortune Teller a few years back, I gladly took on her YA debut, The Premonitions Club. It's the story of a small group of high school students who discover some old boxes containing lists of premonitions collected by The Premonitions Bureau from the 1960s to the 1990s. The files include research on whether and when each premonition proved correct--some years after they were made. A few contributor names keep coming up, including Mad Merlin, Nostradamus, and The Oracle of Delphi--who are the real people behind the names? Before they know what's happening, the teenagers find themselves involved in a nefarious plot that endangers not only themselves but members of their families--both living and presumed missing or dead. And some of them discover unfathomable skills they didn't know they had.

From that point on, the book becomes a series of whirlwind action scenes that dominate the plot. I found it entertaining, although I would have preferred to learn more about what happens to the young characters at the end of the book. It is a rather abrupt ending, followed by the (unnecessary) information the author provides about various paranormal skills, including reading auras, numerology, palmistry, tarot and divination, and remote viewing. Also, I feel the book title (including the word "club") is designed to attract readers based on the book's YA designation, whereas it could have been a stronger title to reflect the actual content of the book.

My review is based on a complimentary pre-release copy of the book.

The Premonitions Club was a very interesting book created for Young Adults. I was so excited that Gwendolyn Womack was releasing a new book, I signed up early to get a peek, not realizing it was for Young Adults. Duh. But, I did sit down to read it and was not disappointed. Gwendolyn Womack weaves incredible adventures always tapping into many aspects of the Metaphysical world. I don't know how she does it, but she creates a great adventure while schooling you on different aspects of the unexplained. I thought the Premonitions Club would be a great book for young adults to learn about the transcendental, making it understandable rather than just, woowoo. After being active in the mystical world for many years, I still learned a few things from this book. Each chapter started with a definition of different aspects of the paranormal and each character had their own unique psychic ability. There is even concrete instructions at the end of the book on numerology, palmistry and tarot to help a young person figure out their own intuitive abilities. For young people struggling to find their place in the world, developing one's intuition and not doubting it, is key to finding the right way to go. I thought the Premonitions Club was a great adventure while teaching young adults we are all gifted and not to doubt your instincts. I got a little lost in some dialogues and at the climax of the story, but overall I thought Gwendolyn really created a great book to expose the youth of today to a new world that can help them through the twists and turns in life.

ARC Review – Thank you Camcat Books and Storygram Tours for the gifted ARC of The Premonitions Club.

I was excited to read this book when I found out the author was inspired to write this book after finding out there was a real Premonitions Bureau that existed from the late sixties to the early nineties. I love historical fiction and YA books, so I thought this might be a fun spin on both. This book did not disappoint!

This was a fun, easy read that had some good twists and turns. There wasn’t a ton of suspense, and it wasn’t very scary, which was good for me. I think this is a great book for someone who is beginning to read thrillers or enjoys thrillers that aren’t too extreme. It definitely made me curious to learn more about the real Premonitions Bureau. I also enjoyed The Premonitions Club Handbook at the end of the story. It went a little more in depth on the different types of psychic abilities, which I thought was a lot of fun. There is also a small romantic story on the side that is sweet, but a very small portion of the story line.

*Synopsis*

When Liv Hall and her friends find boxes of letters hidden in her grandfather’s attic, they discover hundreds of psychic predictions addressed to the Premonitions Bureau, a bureau to investigate psychic abilities that mysteriously closed in 1993. As the group reads decades-old premonitions, they stumble on letters from powerful psychics who mailed in their predictions and then disappeared.
A post online about the found predictions alerts a black ops group in charge of the military’s paranormal research., who will do anything to get their hand on the letters and the psychics who wrote them. Live and her friends now know too much, and they’re directly in the crosshairs. To survive, they’re going to have to rely on each other and the unlikely help of psychics who thought they’d left the dangers of the Bureau behind forever.

I really enjoyed this YA fiction book and finished it one sitting. The characters were very well developed, and the plot was something that I could imagine happening in today’s world, especially with AI. It is public knowledge that the government has always investigated or researched the ideas of people being psychics. Winnie, Matty, Jaxon, Nebony and Forester are helping Liv move some planks from the attic and They find a bunch of boxes that say DO NOT OPEN. So, of course they open the boxes, what they find our letters about premonitions that were collected by the Premonitions Bureau from 1960’s to 1990’s. As they go through these letters they find three contributors, Mad Merlin, Nostradamus and the Oracle of Delphi whose premonitions were accurate. Nebony decides to post their group and talk about the letters on social media, that is when the trouble begins for the group. Before you know it, our group is embroiled in a dangerous journey to solve who are Mad Merlin, Nostradamus and the Oracle of Delphi. Will our young group of teens solve this mystery and survive to tell another story. Thank you to Netgalley and Camcat Books for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you Netgalley and CamCat Books for the chance to read The Premonitions Club by Gwendolyn Womack. This is the author's YA debut novel, and I think she definitely needs to write more! I have not read any of her adult books, but will definitely read them in the future. Once I started, I could not put the book down, and enjoyed reading about Liv and her friends discovering boxes of letters addressed to The Premonitions Bureau that was hidden in her Grandfather's attic.
But opening the boxes set off a chain reaction, that put their lives in jeopardy, when the discovery is posted online. It alerts a black ops group in charge of the military’s paranormal research, and they must rely on each other, and their psychic abilities to get out of trouble. The ending felt a little rushed, but I felt it was set up for a sequel! If you love to read YA and about psychics, and the supernatural, I recommend The Premonitions Club.

The Premonitions Club is a fast paced young adult novel that explores the psychic ability to predict the future. The book is well-researched, and I learned a lot about the different types of psychic premonitions and how each is very different and can sometimes be very dangerous if used by the wrong person. We have a young adult checking out her deceased grandfather's attic and, unexpectedly, with her neighbors and other classmates, help uncover letters that predict all kinds of past historical events that came true and others that were way off the mark. The story unfolds about how those letters ended up in the attic, how the classmates are interconnected, and how their families were part of the Premonitions Club, a government study shut down in 1993. I was intrigued by the concept of this book. I had never read one like it; it felt like this could be based on a real thing. Who knows, maybe it is. It is an outstanding well, well-thought-out indie book.

A Thrilling, Thought-Provoking Ride into the Paranormal!

The Premonitions Club is a masterclass in suspense, mystery, and just the right touch of eerie. Gwendolyn Womack weaves a stunningly original tale that feels both timeless and incredibly fresh. From the moment Liv and her friends discover those hidden psychic predictions, I was hooked and the stakes only kept rising.

The mix of history, psychic phenomena, government secrets, and the deep bond between friends makes this more than just a thriller, it’s an experience. The pacing is sharp, the characters are rich, and the atmosphere? Utterly gripping. Womack has a rare gift for balancing heart-pounding action with emotional depth.

Whether you’re a longtime fan of paranormal fiction or new to the genre, The Premonitions Club is one of those reads that lingers long after the last page. I couldn’t put it down, and I can’t stop recommending it.

This book deserves to be talked about everywhere. Don’t sleep on this one!

Book Sirens eARC. Liv Hall is helping with clearing out her grandfather's house following his passing when she makes an unusual discovery. In the attic are boxes of scores of letters addressed to the Premonitions Club with predictions from psychics worldwide. She and her friends do some online research and learn that many of predictions came true and many of the writers have disappeared or met untimely ends. A post on one friend's social media puts them in the cross hairs of a dangerous military research group. When two of the group are abducted the others are deermined to learn more and ride to the rescue. I have long been a fan of anything paranormal or psychic and this YA adult thriller was well written with fast pacing and engqaging characters. There are enough surprising twists and interactions with each other and family dynamics to hold a reader's interest.

I was hooked on The Premonitions Club pretty quickly! It starts a bit slow, but as the mysteries unfold, it becomes impossible to put down. The whole concept of the Premonition Bureau, based on the actual British Premonitions Bureau, adds a fascinating layer. I loved how the author wrote in CIA FOIA documents on remote viewing - the research shows.

The characters feel real and relatable. At first, they seem like typical high school archetypes, but as the story progresses, they gain unexpected depth. There are also plenty of twists that kept me guessing, making for an engaging and immersive read.

With an eerie atmosphere and a well-paced mystery, this is a great pick for YA, supernatural thriller, and paranormal fiction fans. I definitely recommend it!

I appreciate NetGalley and CamCat Books for the opportunity to read this early copy!

A thrilling YA debut! After stumbling upon boxes of written premonitions allegedly collected by the Premonitions Bureau, a group of teens realize their pasts, presents, and futures are more interconnected than they would have ever guessed. Such a gripping adventure that shows you a thing or two about divination and the metaphysical world along the way. The Premonitions Club is a whirlwind of a read that teaches us to trust our instincts, never dampen our gifts, and always be there for a friend.
