Six years ago, I made an unthinkable sacrifice. One weekend with the Bratva prince. My father's life—in exchange for my body. I left with more than scars. I left carrying his child.
I ran. I hid. I raised his son in silence. But secrets don’t stay buried in Moscow. Now I’m back—broke, desperate, hunted. Working at his racetrack. Under his gaze.
He knows. About Nikolai. About me. About everything. "You have something that belongs to me."
He kidnaps my son. Forces me into a marriage made of chains. Lust. Power. Vengeance.
I came to get my boy back. But now I’m drowning— In memories of his mouth on mine. The way he made me beg for pain. The way I still crave his brutal touch.
Worse, my son is changing. Becoming just like his father. And the only man who can save us… Is the one who destroyed me.
He owns my body. He owns my son. Now he wants my soul.
In the Bratva, family is everything. But what if the devil is the only one keeping us alive?

Dark. Dirty. Devastating. These men don’t fall in love—they take it.
2.5 It's hard to rate a book that you never connected with the main characters. I was never convinced of a love story between Anya and Ronan. The writing itself was good, but the content lacked execution. The story was one that I have read before so the plot was predictable. The story lacked a solid back story explaining why Anya returned to Moscow where her baby daddy lived and was Bratva. I didn't buy the "I am going to bail out my drunken, gambling Daddy scenario, again". Why did Anya takes a job as a cocktail/bottle server at a Moscow racetrack where she could be easily found by Ronan, his men or her father's enemies? If you are trying to keep a low profile why would you take a job that exposes you to so many people each night.
Ronan wasn't a character that I felt anything for. I thought he was an ass most of the book and only became a snippet of a human being the last 10% of the book. Anya could be strong at times, but lacked basic common sense when it came to her father and Ronan. Ronan's response to finding out he is the father of Anya's child was telling. His reaction really focused on how important his son was but how disposable Anya was. So much of the story after that was about Ronan's growing feelings for Nikolai, but not Anya. The fact that Anya willingly jumps back in bed with Ronan, was another example of a MFC's loss of credibility in a story to sex. I prefer a story that has more push and pull between the two main characters before becoming sexually involved. I really hate it when an author feels the need to "dumb down" the heroine in order to make the H seem like a decent guy.
I really could have done without the 5 year old's introduction to murder and torture. I've been reading this genre for years without that kind of description of death and violence via toys, by a child so young. If anything these kids are protected from that kind of violence.
Daddy dearest was a self center pig who endangered his daughter more times than I can count. Anya was always trying to save a man that refused to save her. He had no problem using her for his own personal gain too often in this book. It got old really fast.
Anya was a fierce mother but lacked basic common sense when it came to men whether it be her father or Ronan. She wasn't good at picking her battles and negotiating. Sex became her bargaining tool instead of communication. Her character had promise, but never felt like it fully developed.
Six years ago Anya's father owes a lot of money due to his gambling, the deal is his life or give his daughter to Rolan to pay off his debt. Debt paid put reminder is not just the thoughts of the man but his child Nikolai. Anya is in hiding until her father’s gambling problem brings Rolan back into her life. Rolan finding out about Nikolai.
Full on drama, angst and spice.

When Anya was twenty-two years old he got into debt to the most dangerous and ruthless Russian Bratva boss Rolan Vetrov who was going to kill him. But Rolan told him that if he got a weekend with his daughter that he would cancel his debt. Pyotr didn't want his daughter to sleep with the older mob boss telling him that she was too young. But Anya showed up at Rolan hotel room anyway because of her unconditional love for her father. The two spent a glorious, mind-blowing and passion-filled weekend together then Anya skipped town leaving Moscow. As it turns out she became pregnant with his heir from their encounter. Rolan Vetrov is the oldest brother of the Vetrov brothers and the pakhan of the Vetrov Bratva. He runs the family empire with blood brutality and violence. From the first time Rolan saw Anya he was attracted to her. Although he could get any woman that he wants she had got under his skin and he never stopped thinking about her. She was the one who got away. Anya gave birth to a son Nikolai who is five years old. Anya didn't want her son to be apart of Rolan's world the danger, blood and the violence and had managed to take care of her and her son and keeping her head down. Anya is always digging out her Pyotr out of his mess every time and he always seems to get back into more debt making it worse for them with his gambling addiction. This time Pyotr owes the Vladikavkaz Bratva and when Anya heard about it she came back to Moscow to bail him out once again. When they found her and tell her that if she didn't work it off that they would come after her too. Anya managed to get a job working at track as a cocktail waitress. But a few weeks later the Vetrov family bought it. Normally Rolan would be in the streets working on other things but his father told him to go and check on the track because they're were in the red and losing money. The manager were skimming off the books so Rolan fired everyone and hired new people Anya was a part of the new crew. The night that he went to check on this Anya saw him and her whole world changed because she kept her head down she hoped that he didn't she her. But he remembered every thing and mannerism about her. The time with her was a weekend bought with blood and desperation six years ago then she disappeared. No one had ever left Rolan before and he needs answers. She had gotten under his skin. If she thinks that she can waltz into his business and disappear again, she underestimated how long his memory runs. Tasting her once should've been enough but he can't seems to get her out of his mind and he wasn't going to let her get away again. Rolan gathered everything that he could find from his employee then he set-up a meeting with her father who told him that she had a five year old son. Rolan believes that her son is his given the time line but wants to be sure. He told Pyotr to bring him a piece of the boys hair which came back positive for him. Rolan is mad that she kept his son a secret from him for five years and knows that if his enemies finds out about him that he could be used as leverage against him. So he put security around him and Anya. But when Pyotr got himself in yet another debt with a different he had to step in. Word got back to him that Pyotr have been bragging to the Zharov Bratva, one of Rolan's enemy that he has connections with Rolan and that the boy was his. And that he won't let anything happen to the boy and he would kill everyone of them first. So Rolan kidnapped his from school before anyone could get to him. Anya almost lost her mind. Once Rolan had both of them under his roof he manipulates, forced her into a marriage and blackmail and threaten her that if she leaves she couldn't take Nikolai with her because he's his son. He knows that she loves him and that she would rather die than walk away from her son. From there it was nights of undenied passion, fights over Nikolai and abduction because the chemistry between the two were so charged. And Pyotr was still up to no good with his selfishness and only thinking about himself to get out of his debt. Because this time he leverage his grandson with the Zharov to get out of his debt. And Rolan went on a murderous rampage to get back his son after Anya tried to running away with him in the early morning and was kidnapped by the Zharov because of Pyotr. Rolan scorched the earth for his son. This proved to Anya that he really did love him. The two eventually got their HEA and the Vetrov Bratva finally had peace.

Whew. Buckle in, babes, because this book dragged my soul through a dark Bratva alleyway, set it on fire, then whispered, “You liked that, didn’t you?” And I did. I so did. This was more than a dark mafia romance—it was a full-blown emotional hostage situation, and Ariana Cooper was holding the gun and the matches. From the jump, this story got me by the throat. Six years ago, our heroine made the kind of deal no one walks away from unscathed—one weekend with the devil himself, Kirill Vetrov, to save her father’s life. And let me tell you, Kirill is not your typical possessive Bratva alpha. He’s lethal. Cold. Sex wrapped in cruelty. And when she left him, she took more than just memories—she took a piece of him. Their son. I love a hidden baby trope, but this one? It cut deeper. The second Kirill found out, the man didn’t hesitate. He went straight into mine mode—snatching the kid, the heroine, her freedom, and what was left of her heart. The tension between them is molten. Rage, grief, obsession, and lust collide every time they breathe the same air. And I was absolutely here for the war they waged between the sheets—and outside them. Their chemistry? A savage kind of beautiful. The kind that breaks you just right. And while Kirill was brooding, dominant, and oh-so-deliciously unhinged, I never once forgot that our girl was a fighter. She was desperate, angry, and exhausted, yes—but never broken. Not really. She fought for her son, for her truth, and sometimes even for the pieces of her heart that still remembered who Kirill was before it all shattered. What had me feral: 💔 The gut-punch of betrayal wrapped in longing 💀 The Bratva world—dark, gritty, and full of sharks in suits 👶 The raw ache of motherhood and sacrifice 🔥 The toe-curling tension (like how dare this man be this cruel and this hot?) 🖤 Kirill’s obsession slowly morphing into something that felt like love… if love wore brass knuckles This is not a sunshine-and-rainbows mafia romance. This is for the girlies who want pain laced with power, love born from war, and a man who will burn the world down not just for you—but because of you. If you’ve ever fantasized about the villain making you scream his name while breaking every rule to keep you by his side—welcome home, darling. Rating: 5/5 ruined lives and one hell of a book hangover. Now excuse me while I go chain myself to Book 2. I’m all in.
This rates somewhere 3-4 for me. It just got repetitive and hard to hold my attention. The angsty plot got old for me quickly. But not moreso than the omissions and inconsistencies. Lets discuss. Hate. They hated each other for so long. Got old. Mushy. Really mushy hea. Anya's father. Got old. Rolan had already warned this man previously to stop name-dropping him or face the consequences. Did that stop daddy? No. He offered up daughter and grandson to rival bad guys and sold them out more than once. Dad confesses. Anya just keeps her mouth shut, while her son had been kidnapped (couldn't miss this one coming!) and in danger of being unalived. Rolan and crew save the day, of course, they're the baddest of them all. Of course Rolan must go back with his thug men, gunsablazing with potential of his and others' lives lost, to rescue dear old half-unalived daddy from bad guys, Anya is so tore up until Rolan/Anya gets dad back. Dad's immediately well again! She doesn't speak of her dad's traitorous actions against them. Anya is supposedly severely bėaṭèn. But through broken or cracked ribs (I can't keep up with these "diagnosis" anymore), and a severe concussion, she is able to run, and have that required "feral" spicy scene, with 🔨 and waist grabbing, without mention of any pain whatsoever. No can do! Darker Bratva and Mafia is a usual read for me. This one, the elements just didn't mesh well for me.
All my own opinion. You should always read to form your own, as everyones differs!
It was just too icky for me. He forced her to sleep with him to pay her father's debts, then, six years later, finds out she had his son and is upset. He never bothered to look for her before then! So his answer is to basically force her to have sex with him, kidnap his son, force her to stay in his house, then force her to marry him or never see her son again, more forced sex, but it's okay because she secretly loves him. WHY? She doesn't want to raise a kid in the mafia. I get that. But what really, really pissed me off was that she makes a bargain that if her horse wins, she and their kid can leave, and he rigs it so her horse loses, and then realizes what he's done. But he doesn't grovel. Luckily, she tries to leave and their son gets taken by an enemy bratva (who her father sold her out too -- don't worry, he's forgiven too and welcomed back in the family! How nice. Poor Anya just wins when it comes to the men in her life. They make her suffer and cry, but she forgives them with the barest of apologies), and so now she's fine with the violent life style. Just ugh. Also, there were parts of how the H had to adopt his own son? I was confused. At least he's trying to go legit in the end. So, there's that.

This book was good but did have some issues. It's book one in the author's new series. Anya's father has a gambling problem and that allowed Rolan to make a deal with him for his daughter for a time. She ends up pregnant and that would have been the end except Rolan's family buys the place where she works, her dad gets into gambling again and tosses around Rolan's name. This on top of Rolan finding out about Nikolai starts a story off and running. It's an even pace between the business and personal. The reader does feel a connection between the two strong characters. The issue is towards the end when Anya's father comes by to confess his part and Anya calls him on it but then shortly after, he's welcomed home with no reference to before. The two main characters are strong and determined to get their own way. The reader gets to empathize with them because they are layered and not one dimensional. Plot sounds good until you read it. He called her b*itch. Also there was a since his brother (if I'm not wrong in remembering) sees her naked after her s*ex with mmc and he was ok?!!!!Abused her (yes that counts as SA) I really don't know how on earth they suddenly decided to fall in love?! Like girl have some self respect and up until like 90 % of book he didn't even notice how stupid and abusive he is. Poor kid Nikolai was such side character. we didn't have enough interaction and tbh I didn't feel any honf between him and c and mmc. also it felt like AI(sorry not sorry 🫶🏻) some parts (specially ending) didn't feel human and had some major logical issue. Too many plot holes and unnecessary events.
I'm giving this book 2 stars: one for Nikolai who has to endure this parents... one for the house keeper because so far she was the only person I liked.
*I really don't know why I didn't just dnf-ed. I guess I had some hopes😭

For six years Rolan Vetrov didn't know he had a son but now he known he has to keep them safe from his enemies. Six years ago he had sexual encounter with Anya to save her father from another bratva family wanting the money he owes them, and his daughter paid with her body. Now her father is up to his old tricks as a gambler and run up debts again, more than Anya can ever repay. He gave her a few choices staying with him and Nikolai or leave his home but he wouldn't be going with her, his son would live with him. Staying was her inly choice for now but as soon as she could she would take her son and escape from Roman. She dud escape but it didn't turn out good for her when she is beaten up by unknown men and Nikolai was taken. A really good start for the first book in this series and now looking forward to more of the same.

I've enjoyed the idea of the love story, however I think the main male character could've done some more grovelling. In the end of the day he did take the main female character as a payment. Also, there were some small discrepancies which I can't say they bothered me immensely, like the characters were russian but the female couldn't speak russian, or after the attack the female character was supposed to be all bruised and battered, enough to pass out, but she still initiated s.x with the male character. It just not making sense, to normal people in real life, another thing was the way both of them decided to say I love you, it seemed little rushed, just to finish the book. I did enjoy the book, but I would've liked a little more finesse.

Anya (FMC) gets entangled with Bratva Prince - Rolan when she gives herself up for a weekend with him to pay off her father's debt. She's left pregnant with Rolan's son. Now forced to bring him up on her own as well as saddled with an alcoholic gambling father. Who is a draw on what little money that she had. I understood why Anya thought she had to take care of her father but from the start of this book he was just a car crash of a character and caused no end of problems for Anya. He had no redeemable qualities I thought. Also I wasn't too sure about the relationship between Anya & Rolan. It started off on the back foot by them being together to pay off a debt and then years later Rolan tried near enough the same tactics (by using her son) to blackmail into doing what he wanted. The dynamic was too one-sided for me. Still in saying that I did enjoy reading it.
She did the unthinkable to save her father, she gave birth to a son keeping the secret
Nothing remain a secret on the streets of Russia, Anya has given up so much caring for Nickolai her son and her father whose drinking and gambling has put them on the Bratva's radar. Now her family is in danger because his grandfather tried to clear his debts by telling who her beautiful sons father is.
He will bring down the sky himself to keep his son safe even though he has only just discovered his existence, the woman that more him is his as well but she is stubborn, she has needed to be to survive.
This is a captivating read, will love ought and bring this broken family togo, discover to yourself.
The waiting is wonderful and the plot was unusual and Bratva through and through once you begin reading it is impossible to stop until you reach the end.
This story was epic! I enjoyed the characters of Rolan and Anaya whom her father had debts and he needed to pay 💰 now! So he sold his daughter to Rolan for his debts too be paid, Anaya felt soiled and angry that her father had done this too her but she went through with it but didn't realize that she enjoyed being with Rolan. 5 years later she's trying too scrape buy waitressing at a bar with her dad still drinking and gambling promises that he would quit. But Anya's son Nicholi is all that matters too her as she got pregnant with Rolans son that sex filled weekend but she never told him and disappeared. But she senses his presence and then knew her life would never be as she wanted it to be with her son, because now Rolan will find out he has a son and will stop at nothing to get his son and take her with him.
Fantastic book! Now this is what I consider a mafia book. So good!! This is the 1st book I have read by this author and she did not disappoint. I loved the characters, especially MMC and Nikolai. FMC kinda drove me nuts. She was always trying to run from MMC. Not even worrying about her and her son being kidnapped. She barely made enough money to feed her 5 year old son. Yet she turned down MMC's offer to care and protect them. Lots of hot sexy scenes! Nikolai, the little boy, is so darn adorable. I couldn't wait to see what would come out of his mouth. Lots of exciting action scenes too. I couldn't put this book down. I was caught up from the beginning. I can't wait to read more books from this author. Great job!!
Anya was always the caretaker who got the short end of the stick. She'd give up anything for others, but it was never enough. Her son was her world, and she was a total rockstar mom. Because of her dad's deadly problems, she ended up with this guy who totally took advantage her situation. She was always putting everyone else first and forgetting about herself.
Rolan was this tough guy who didn't care about anyone. He was hardcore and rough around the edges. Never in a million years did he think his life would get flipped upside down, forcing him to make some crazy tough calls.
I really went into this book expecting to thoroughly enjoy it. Unfortunately it took a while to get started and we never really got to hear the story about when the two originally hooked up I found the writing a little mumbo-jumbo Although this isn't the author's first book you'd have a hard time telling I gave it three stars because it's interesting and picked up midway Yes, I am going to read book 2 in The Vetrov Chronicles as I see the makings of a great series Just hoping for it to have a better pace and with characters who don't seem so awkward with each other
Anya traded one night with Rolan to protect her father, only she was left with more than memories, she goes on the run with her son Nikolai but her secret doesn't stay hidden, 6 years on and Rolan is a man who takes whats his and thats his son and the woman he can't stop thinking about. But can Anya give into him? Will she have a choice? Well written engaging, second chances, desires, obsession and more!
To save her father she gives herself to a man that not only left scars but a parting gift she would collect nine months later. On the run she keeps hidden but at a cost. Now she is back working for the very man that ruined her, and he knows her secret. Will Anya and Roland's journey end in happiness. This story is filled with dramatic twists and turns that kept me glued to the pages.

This is book 1 in Cooper's new series the Vetro Chronicles. A great introduction to a new series that is well written and captivating. Action packed and full of steamy chemistry. This book and the journey of main characters Anya and Rolan is dark, gritty but captivating and addictive.

I love the cover book. Anya is the payment to her father’s debt. Rolan accepts Anya and the chemistry is out of this world. Anya becomes pregnant so she leaves to get her and her baby safe. Her father gets in debt so she tries to help him again. That’s when Rolan finds out that he is a father. Great book. Keeps you entertained.
Anya was given to Rolan for a night to pay off her father's debt. Years later, he discovers her secret, deciding to take what's his. While there were some inconsistencies, the general premise of the story was interesting as well as emotionally tense.

5 Star, Loved it!! Loved reading Bound by the Bratva. This book was so good I couldn’t put it down. I loved every bit of Anya and Rolan’s story and couldn’t get enough. The chemistry is off the charts, action packed and loved the ending!!
Bound By The Bratva is Rolan and Anya's story. There's lots of drama, angst, surprises and action and chemistry between the characters is palpable. It's a good introduction to this new to me author. I'm excited to see what else she has out there.
This book is so full of cringe. I added it to my DNF pile less than 100 pages in. Both of the main characters are horrible people, but the FMC takes the cake for idiots. Didn't enjoy this at all.
Rolan and Anya have history that resulted in their son Nikolai. But things are never straightforward or easy with a bratva boss. A dark romance with drama, danger and plenty of steamy tension.

This is the first book I have read by Ariana Cooper and I love a good mafia romance. There are elements that I absolutely loved and then there are some inconsistencies or cringe worthy moments that I could have done without or didn’t make sense!
Anya’s life took a turn for the worst when her father’s debt had reached a limit so high that she became a bargaining chip to help relieve the debt. Her father begged no and she balked at the deal but eventually went back to Rolan and spent the weekend with him at his mercy to settle her father’s debt and then left for six years.
Now her father is in debt again and continues to drink daily which has brought Anya back along with her secret for six years - her son Nikolai. And she gets a job as a waitress and doesn’t realize the owner is Rolan until he runs into her one night.
Back to the same old devious ways. He offers her money to help out her father in exchange for time with him however he deems fit. There is passion between the two but it’s hard to understand the draw to each other after so long when it seems more like a transaction and she’s more of an afterthought once he finds out about his son. But by the end they do seem to have love and intimacy.
I didn’t like that he tricked her into staying with him by rigging the test. I totally get that a mafia man would do this but at some point if you care as much as you say then choices need to be given. And when Anya tried to run with Nikolai I feel like if she would’ve been given a choice before as well as an honest conversation about the future she never would’ve tried to run.
Two big things that I didn’t like - her dad literally tells the world about her son and puts him in danger and uses Rolan’s name but he’s still welcomed back into the fold like nothing happened. Anya never gives him an ultimatum or anything and as a parent trying to keep my child safe that would’ve been the last straw. Also, Anya tried to keep them from taking Nikolai and was beaten pretty severely from the description and then her and Rolan end up being intimate and it makes it unbelievable because she would definitely be in pain!
Overall, I liked the characters and the story but the inconsistencies and the character development left me wanting more.
