After the previous book, this was definitely an improvement.

There was actually enough of a story here to keep me entertained, and I found myself enjoying this one much more. It is still exactly the kind of chaotic and over the top read I have come to expect from this series, but this time it worked better for me.

I am clearly not reading these books because I expect an incredibly complex plot or deep character development. At this point, I just want to be entertained for a couple of hours, and this one managed to do that.

Not amazing, but definitely a lot more fun than the last one. I will take it.

Probably my favorite of the series so far. The romance was great—I’m a sucker for a jealousy trope, and with the Prince of Envy it fit perfectly. It also moved the plot forward by weaving in more of the angel element, which makes me excited to see where things go now that the angels seem more determined to stop it.

So my coping mechanism is reading monster romances and surprisingly this was much better than what I had expected. If this would have been a full on book with around 300 pages, character development and a little bit more time for the plot to evolve, in my opinion this would have been an absolutely amazing book. For how short it was it had a pretty good plot and overall the story was fun to read.

I've really enjoyed these books, just a short read, not even an hour but they've got better the further along I've got, I think this one is my favourite so far
