My kiddo is entering high school and Frankenstein is part of her required summer reading list...the 1818 version. It was suggested by a teacher friend to read an adapted version to get a good foothold on the story before delving into the original and ye olde English.
We ended up with an audiobook in A2 reader level, so unsure if THIS is the book but close enough. Coming in at a little under 2 hours, it did the job. Kiddo is intrigued by the story and did enjoy the adapted version we selected.
A good idea. Now onto the original.
