A fabulous compilation of diverse crochet stitches. No patterns for specific projects, but for anyone who likes to make afghans or scarves or any other larger-scale projects, this book is a keeper.

One I will be buying.

Color me impressed!

I have been crocheting for decades and didn't think that I would learn much from this book, but boy, did I! I especially loved the textured stitch and seeing how broomstick lace is made. That's something I have always wanted to try

This is a really fantastic guide. I crochet on and off in my free time and I've been using this as a guide to basic stitches for years - before youtube videos to learn stitches. The Illustrations are easy to follow and the directions helped me learn to read patterns.

If you craft with yarn - knit or crochet - it is helpful to collect stitch dictionaries with which you can easily design your own face/dish cloths; scarves, afghans etc &/or modify patterns by replacing the stitch pattern with another using the same number of stitches (with or without “+ #” of stitches by carefully reviewing the stitch number in original design).

This is one of the better crochet dictionaries I’ve found that is also available in Kindle format. Seriously consider adding to your crochet stitch library.

Had to read this so I can decipher some of the patterns that confound me. Very good for the techniques as well as for the actual stich patterns.
