Every man wants to be someone’s everything. Until he actually is.
Ryan Mitchell has survived for five years in another world by keeping everyone else on the far side of his shield...including people. The "Untouchable Knight" doesn't do friends. He doesn't let anyone close enough to matter.
She changes that.
It was supposed to be a simple help a struggling party clear a dungeon. But Parwana is everywhere. Tracking his every breath like he's the only man alive. Anticipating his needs. Saving his life with a desperation bordering on madness.
Every encounter has been orchestrated. Every coincidence planned. She's stalking him with infinite patience.
Now his legendary control is shattering. The smart move would be to run. Instead, he's falling for the most beautiful predator who's ever hunted him.
Solid 4 stars. Good story layout and concept. Though got lost around the middle for me. I ended up skim reading parts as they seemed to drag.
The MC was ok. Just ok. He seemed to lack depth to me, didn't seem to have anything going for him other than the basics. The FMC come across stronger, though I would have liked more from her perspective.
All in all. solid read that slowed paced in places that it shouldn't have.
This was the first yandere book I read. I kind of enjoyed this different and very intense dynamic so I'm definitely down to read more of this subgenre.
I must say that the MC fell kind of flat for me, as it felt like he did not much of a personality and left the impression of a generic self-insert character. Some more motivation why Parwana was so crazy about him would've been good.
The magic was handled nicely, and I had no issues with the overarching plot and world building.
In general I felt like the book dragged out a bit too long and would not have suffered if it was shorter.
Now in the following spoiler I'll just mention what I did not like about the ending.
This book was alright for most of its runtime but I got bored towards the end. The protag was possibly the most boring man to ever live with no interesting thoughts or emotions shown throughout the entire story. He was isekai'd but that didn't seem to matter for his characterization at all. He could've been living in the fantasy world for his entire life and he would've been the same. He seemed slow and dull, having "suspicions" about the most obviously sus woman I've ever seen and acting on none of them. Him "realizing that the yandere catgirl was the only thing he truly cared about" came out of nowhere for me. He was just such a piece of plywood the entire time.
Story was intriguing right up till about 67% then I found myself rapidly scanning pages and jumping pages to get past what came off as just bad plot holes. I just couldn't get past main chapters stupidity, ignorance, lack of care. When he was presented differently to start the story. It just felt wrong to me. Could be my dislike of the later plot objects but certain events just as events with no overarching impact on the rest of the story felt bad man.
This was definitely an odd change of pace for what I read but it was actually really good and was very well written. I would read another but I don’t think there would be a second of this book. Still, I would read if there was a book 2. Good job pushing the bounds!
A fun yandere litrpg romance. Very male centered, in that I've read a lot of romance novels in this is one of the few that feels written for men. My only complaint is the murder of a minor character that seems really unjustified. It made the HEA less enjoyable for me. But overall, well done.
Honestly I've been trying to read romance/romantasy aimed at men vs women for a few years now and it's always funny when books with unhinged covers/titles manage to tell the best story's. A genuinely great fantasy read.
It was probably the most yandere yandere I have seen so far and I am amazed and glad thst someone had the bravery to do it. Good stuff. A bittersweet ending but overall good.
