Assuming that Jesus was real, and the scriptures are important (huge assumptions) the author does a masterful job of pointing out the obvious misapplication of Jesus "words" when referring to the sign of his future return. This deceptive path was originally started with the Millerites to cover over failed recent prophecies, and was then seized upon by the various Adventists groups (especially the Jehovah's Witnesses).
It does an excellent job of pointing out the misquotes in Watchtower literature claiming that conditions on Earth now are worse than they have ever been. This book takes these points one by one and shows how we are actually living in the best time ever. The blatant lies to make things look otherwise that are exposed are pretty shocking.
But unfortunately the author still seems to be under the delusion that there is absolute "truth" (including prediction of the future) to be found in the bible.
