Moving across the country to train with a prestigious ballet for six weeks? Major life goal unlocked. Living with my brother’s grumpy and very hot best friend? Major life complication introduced. Especially when he needs a fake girlfriend…
When I show up at his door, I don’t know much about Wolf Hartley beyond the fact that he played university hockey with my older brother and that he’s currently the star enforcer for the Toronto Thunder. But within minutes of meeting him, I’ve developed a raging crush so intense that it consumes my every waking—and sleeping—thought.
I know that Wolf and I can never happen. My brother makes that clear as soon as I move in, with a joke that isn’t really a joke. Plus, he’s thirteen years older than me, and I’ll be going home in just six weeks. I’m only living with him while I’m in Toronto because he’s doing my brother a favour.
So I'm shocked when he asks me to be his fake girlfriend to get out of an obnoxious bachelor auction. Obviously, I happily agree. I might not be able to have him for real, but for a little while, I can pretend. I can imagine what it would be like to be his…
It turns out, I'm not the only one who’s been imagining how hot we would be together, and suddenly what was supposed to be fake feels very, very real.
This author has been bringing the swoon! I loved this one so much, it was a delicious little romance morsel full of sweet n steam! A sweet n innocent heroine tames the big brutal brooding hero! Yasssss, please!!
Safe. Hero has been celibate for years. Heroine is a virgin and belongs only to her hero. No ow/om, no cheating or sharing. Hea with epilogue
-Dual PoV -Age gap h19, H32 -Insta love, fake dating (it was fake for like 5 mins lol), brothers best friend. -safe no owd/omd -no third act breakup -HEA
I saw a hockey game irl today and the hype is so real I literally almost jumped onto the ice with my arms spread waiting to be caught by my future man 😔-WHO SAID THAT 💀.
Oh, Wolf Hartley is in deep… stuff… with Emily David. His instant attraction is almost humorous. 😃 The fact that it's reciprocated is a fun discovery for him that I really liked. 🚿💦
I can’t stop staring. I want to drown in her eyes. I want to count her freckles with my mouth. – Wolf Hartley
This is a quick read, instalove that certainly got my blood pumping. The heat level is high, which may not be recommended for reading in public, but I didn't mind.
“It's because you were meant to be mine, Emily. You were made for me."
Wolf is intense and tries to fight his attraction for Emily, but he just can't help himself, especially after that shower...He was bound to fall the second they met, he just took a little longer to get there (three days lol).
"Such a good girl for me, letting me kiss your gorgeous little pussy like this.”
Emily was sweet and a little shy, but she knew what she wanted. She never thought Wolf would want her back, but the moment they kissed and she realized he did, she was all in. He put all her doubts about her job and living arrangements to rest and made it so she would never have to leave him.
I wanted a little more tension, more teasing interactions between them before they gave in, but it was a great book nonetheless!
This series is super incredible, and I need more of these players!!
I LOVE EVERYTHING by this author! This hockey series has been fun to read, with each story being DRAMA-FREE, high heat and sweet insta-love. Even though this one had a few of my least favorite tropes: Dream/ daydream sex sequence and “caught in the act of fapping”, it didn’t really annoy me since this was short and so-very-sweet. This author is quickly moving to the very top of my favorites list and is a definite must-read
I'm fine with instalove, its not my favourite but I don't hate it. This however was a whole different story. The timeline for them falling in love was unbelievably unrealistic. They had only met each other at most a week prior and the day they got together, they were saying "I love you." That's insane. I think that instalove can be done right, but this was not an example of that.
It was not believable that these two loved each other. They barely knew anything about each other other than where they're from (can't even recall if she knows where his is from) and what they do professionally. There was nothing about this story that made me understand why they supposedly loved each other. We saw nothing to indicate that that was even remotely possible.
This book was definitely an instalust book masquerading as an instalove book. His entire inner dialogue was just about him fantasising about her in different sexual positions. You're not going to convince me that these two actually loved each other and weren't just two extremely horny people. Also, him saying he plans to marry her the next day after they get together is WILD.
I did not find it romantic that he wasn't going to hesitate to drop Mike as a friend if he made Wolf choose between him and Emily. The fact that he didn't give a fuck about potentially dropping his friend of 10+ years for a girl he's known for max a week and only been with romantically for a day is insane. Mike was the only sane one in this book and he still folded so quickly. Mike deserves a better friend.
The book was VERY repetitive especially with mentioning the FMCs features. He kept on going on and on about her red hair and her green eyes and how fucking tiny she was. I got it the first time, I didn't need him to repeat it every other page.
I hate when the FMCs are virgins because they always make it really weird and obsess over no one else ever touching the FMC or how tight she is, etc. It always grosses me out. I was always weirded out by the fact that she was 19 while he was 32, she came off as very young and sheltered which just made him look bad for pursuing her. Add on the fact that he called her "little one" and she called him "daddy", it all just felt very creepy and I could not get behind these two getting together.
This was a yummy little instalove story, with a forbidden, best friend's little sister aspect. Wolf is a hockey player for the Toronto Thunder. An enforcer. A tough guy on the ice. But he feels like he's losing his passion for the game. Now he has to look after his friends ballerina sister for the next 6 weeks. When did he become the babysitter for a 19-year-old? Emily is a ballerina. She's been invited to the National Ballet School in Toronto for a six week internship. Her brother arranged for her to stay with a friend of his. He didn't want her to be all alone in the city. She wasn't sure how that was going to work out, though. She'd never met this guy. He was some kind of big, tough hockey player. They would have nothing in common. But as soon as she saw him, all that went out the window. Ugh, the tension between them was crazy. Wolf was inexplicably drawn to this girl who was 13 years younger and half his size. It was taboo just for that. But he also had the threat of death over his head from her brother. Which made things that much worse. Even so, when each of them needed a fake relationship, the first person in their mind was each other. And when other people think you're together, it makes it that much easier to be. Mmm. Taboo and tension and a big protective hockey player. So good.

Thirty-two-year-old Toronto Thunder defenseman Wolf Hartley misses another shot at the net when the assistant captain of the team advises him to get out of his own head, blow off some steam, or get laid, so he heads to the gym. Then he is reminded that he agreed to look after his best friend’s sister, nineteen-year-old Emily David, for the next six weeks while she is interning at the National Ballet School. But the woman standing in his penthouse isn’t anything like he expected. He is immediately gobsmacked by her ethereal beauty then overcome with the need to smell and taste her.
This third book on the Insta Love Hockey Romance series does not disappoint. In fact, I think that it is actually the sweetest story because big, bad lone Wolf, known for his aversion to relationships, not only falls immediately but is happy to do so. And while diminutive, unexperienced virgin Emily is equally surprised at the instant attraction, even at her young age, she accepts him as her forever person. Don’t miss this delightful, heartfelt romp filled with care and passion beyond all measure.

Wolf, the male hockey player lead, agreed to let his college best friend’s younger sister, Emily, the female ballet dancer lead, stay at his flat for six weeks whilst she’s in town for an intensive course. He’s not thrilled to be surrendering his privacy until he meets Emily and is immediately infatuated. Emily is similarly interested but sure the emotion won’t be reciprocated.
Then they’re both in the position where they need a significant other and agree to fake a relationship, which quickly becomes so much more…
This novella is dual POV, well written and edited, and a sweet and steamy, contemporary hockey romance. I enjoyed Wolf’s intensity, and the certainty with which he pursued Emily. I enjoyed Emily’s reciprocated interest and her happiness in her career and relationship progressions. I enjoyed the steamy intimate moments. I appreciated the resolution with Emily’s brother.
I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my voluntary honest review.
LOVED IT!! There is just something about Alyson's writing and her word choice that makes her books so steamy!! Big bad Wolf is a hockey player who has lost his mojo a bit. He's a loner and a grump, but everyone knows that is just his personality. He gets paid to be the "bruiser" on the ice. He meets his match in Emily - a 19 year old ballerina who is so sheltered and inexperienced - but also the sweetest and littlest thing. Oh and also his best friend's little sister. She is in his town for a ballet school / tryout and he agrees to let her stay at his place and look after her - a bit against his will, but he can't say no to his friend. A bit of love at first sight for both of them. Wolf is super possessive and protective!!! So hot! Also love the "bad boy" who is a beast on the ice, but oh so gentle and sweet to his love. Opposites attract Size Difference Virgin h Alpha H Hockey player / Ballerina Age gap
📖 Novella 😾 Grumpy x 🤭 Shy 🏒 Hockey player x 🩰 Ballerina 😖 Daddy Kink (He calls her little one, she calls him Daddy) 👨 Age gap (he's 32, she's 19) ❤️🔥 Insta Love, Insta Lust 🧔♂️ Old brother's best friend 👫 H has been celibate for years, h is a virgin 🧔♂️ He's 6'4", she's 5' (don't know how that works but.... 🤷♀️)
Love story on steroids where they fall in love in a matter of days. Loved the premise. Loved the romance. Loved the OTT protective alpha H. But the Daddy/little one sexual exchange made me cringe all over.
2 🌟 for the plot. 5 🌟 for the cover 😏

Hockey romance. Emily is a young ballerina traveling to Toronto for a ballet. For six weeks, she'll be living with her brother Wolf's best friend, a famous hockey player. She didn't expect to fall head over heels for him, much less for him to offer to be his fake girlfriend to avoid a charity gala. Wolf is a lonely hockey player who doesn't do relationships. When his best friend asks him to stay with his sister, he sees it as a burden, but when he meets the beautiful Emily, it's love at first sight. He sees their fake relationship as a way to get closer. Will Wolf change his ways to experience a beautiful romance with Emily, or will he prefer his relationship with his best friend….

Wolf and Emily's instalove romance somehow *almost* seems like a slow burn--the two of them spend an awful lot of time fantasizing about what they want to do with each other and try fake dating for a hot minute before finally actually getting around to it.
To be fair, it was right around the 50% mark of this novella, so was it really slow burn at all? Of course not. But it managed to *feel* like it was.
It is a bit interesting that so many of the guys connected to this hockey team are ending up in age gap romances, but I'm here for it! ;)

Oh my! Big bad Wolf turned into a sweet little lamb for Emily from the moment he first laid his eyes on her! “…… a tiny redhead with freckles like constellations and emerald green eyes.” But he promised his best friend, her brother, to keep his hands to himself. Easier said than done, especially when Emily has the hots for him too and pretending to be in a relationship turns into something very real.
I really loved Emily and Wolf together. They’re a perfect match, and their story was sweet and steamy.

Ms. Archer has given us yet another story that sets the pages on fire with Emily and Wolf. Faking It with the Enforcer is an age-gap, brother's best friend, insta-love fake dating sports romance that will have you needing a very cold drink and maybe a fan as well. Emily needs a place to stay and Wolf is the one who takes her in. Talk about love at first sight. Wolf falls hard and a slip of the tongue has Emily her girlfriend. Emily is innocent, and inexperienced as in had never been with a man in any aspect. Forced proximity and flirting words and soft touches see Emily and Wolf crossing the line and boy things catch on fire.
Everything I could want in an insta love hockey romance book.

🏒 Fake Dating 🏒 Brother’s Best Friend 🏒 Forced Proximity 🏒 Age Gap 🏒 Hockey Romance
I’ve really grown fond of the Toronto Thunder(and staff) over the course of these books. I’m telling you, if you want a short and steamy sports romance book that you can devour in one sitting, Faking it With the Enforcer is the book for you. I highly recommend you start from the beginning of this series. It’s not necessary for understanding the storyline, but I promise it will enhance your experience.
I enjoyed the first two books in this series and expected to like this one as well. Unfortunately, I didn’t care for it. Most of the time it felt forced, from the nicknames to the descriptions of the characters, and everything else. I feel even a short insta story should feel natural in some aspects, even if the characters are moving quick. This book just read like many others.
It had good potential but I can only read about someone being so tiny and someone having a growly voice so many times. I hope the next is better!
Love at first sight, all the sparks, and a sexy, sexy vibe that fits so perfectly with this grumpy enforcer and the tiny ballet dancer who hits him like a Mack truck with lust and and throws him into protective overdrive! And the tropes, brother's best friend, age gap, they are done so right with these two. Thoroughly enjoyed every tiny detail of this read, from how hard they tried to talk themselves out of what they were feeling, to the irony of needing a fake date at the same time, and the connection...so deep, so good. Just a crazy fantastic read that more than feeds your need for a
As a huge hockey fan I am always anxious to read any book I ca n find with a sexy hockey player as the leading man. Faking It with the Enforcer by Alyson Archer was a great book that definitely gave me all the feels. Emily and Wolf, her older brother's best friend and teammate have super intense chemistry and what began as a favor quickly became very real. Emily is only in town for 6 weeks while she trains as a ballerina and Wolf needs a fake girlfriend to get out of a charity auction. Hooked from beginning to end. Definitely recommend.
This one was enjoyable, and it was nice that it had a different storyline than the first two in the series that seemed nearly identical to each other.
The only part that really bothered me was Wolf talking like a caveman during intimate moments. He’d either talk in the third person, referring to himself as Daddy, or the sentence wouldn’t have a subject at all (it would just start with a verb).
But I would read more from this author. The stories are short and insta-love, and sometimes that’s exactly what I need.
A definite read that will melt your heart and panties in no time. Wolf and Emily are explosive together and the thirteen year age-gap between them makes it even HOTTER & SPICIER 🥵 ! Instant love 💕 is rare but in their case, it’s genuine, pure and real. Filled with heartfelt emotions you’ll devour this book in one setting, guaranteed. Again Alyson knows how to captive and compel you into reading her AWESOME books.
Wolf has told Michael his best friend that he will keep his sister safe. Michael tells him not to touch his little sister. What happens when Michael finds out ?.

Emily moves in with her brother’s best friend, Wolf—a grumpy, brooding hockey enforcer. The chemistry between Emily and Wolk is strong. Wolk asks Emily to pretend to be his girlfriend to get out of a bachelor auction to which she agrees immediately since she is crushing on him. What starts as a pretend relationship quickly turns into something undeniably real, with intense chemistry and heartfelt moments. Will they find that they have a happy ending ahead of them after the fake start?
Swoon! These two are electric together. I loved Wolf and Emily together. The way that man would do anything for Emily, even move to be closer to her. The story is so good. You get this forbidden, fake romance that turns real in less than a day. I loved everything about it. It's steamy and swoon-worthy. Loved it!
This is a wonderful age-gap romance. Wolf tries to deny his feelings for his best friends sister, Emily, but the instant attraction is strong and undeniable. Emily has had the hots for Wolf for awhile and doesn’t believe he sees her that way. While this is a Novella, it is a perfect smiley hearts with a dash of steam romance for a weekend read.
