As the coach's daughter, dating hockey players is off-limits.
It's a rule I've never had a hard time following...until I meet Kincaid Campbell.
He's the star center for the Toronto Thunder, a celebrity and a legend in the hockey world. He's known for his prowess on the ice and his charity work off the ice.
He's fourteen years older than me, and within minutes of meeting him, I have a raging crush.
An innocent crush isn't breaking my dad's rule, though. Besides, a man like Kincaid—rich, successful, and experienced—wouldn't actually be interested in me, the shy university student who blushes eighty-six times a day and has never kissed anyone.
But every time I’m near him, the air seems to crackle with electricity. And when he rescues me one rainy night, everything changes when I learn that my fantasies about Kincaid aren’t one-sided.
At all.
Now we just have to figure out how to tell my dad that his little girl’s been claimed by the center…
Claimed by the Center is a short and very spicy instalove story featuring an obsessed older man and the sweet, shy coach's daughter he falls for.
I can't believe this is only AA's second published book?! Her work is so good, omg.
I really enjoyed this one! I wished there was a bit more closure in the end (like an extended epilogue), but this was still really thorough. I can't wait for the next one 👀.
Kincaid Campbell and Lilah Ferguson are incredibly over-the-top with their insta-love and his stalking. She's so shy, and he's definitely got the "I'll unalive you" vibe down pat. 😂🔥🎉 I really liked it.
Because although I’ve only known Lilah for five minutes, the things I want to do to her are filthy. -- Kincaid Campbell
Boy, oh boy, are they filthy! And I loved every single moment of their debauchery.
Oh, there's also a bonus epilogue that is H-O-T! They are cute and funny even while dirty talking. Definitely worth the extra few minutes to read.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Very insta love as the title says. A little too cheesy for my liking and too much sex for such a short book. The characters were likable though. But I did skim just because I wanted to read the second one.
NO CHEATING, OP DRAMA OR THIRD ACT BREAK UP. HEA WITH AN ENGAGEMENT
Lilah, the female lead, is an introverted, genuinely shy and quiet person, who has always been happy to abide by her father’s request that she stay away from hockey players, whom he coaches. Until they move to a new team and Lilah meets Kincaid, the male lead, at her father’s welcoming party. She’s enthralled by him but sure he wouldn’t be interested in a quiet girl like her…
Kincaid hasn’t been interested in settling down but he’s enthralled by Lilah and determined to spend what time he can around her, even though her father is his coach…
This story is dual POV, well written, and a sweet and steamy, coach’s daughter/player, contemporary hockey romance. I don’t normally enjoy characters as retiring as Lilah, but I found her natural quietness well written, and appreciated that she was her own (shy) person, just genuinely retiring. I enjoyed Kincaid’s gentleness and patience, as well as his calm determination to draw Lilah out and get her to engage meaningfully with him. I enjoyed the steamy intimate scenes and the erotic interactions. I enjoyed the way Lilah’s father dealt with their revelation after his initial shock.
I received a complimentary copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book didn’t work for me. I couldn’t warm up to either character. The writing felt a bit stilted in places. I love hot scenes in my romances but this felt like it was all sex with barely any story. That may be a good read at times but not this time , not for me.
Lilah is the daughter of the Toronto NHL Team. She’s 20 and is a virgin. I felt I was repeatedly being told how quiet and shy she was.
Kincaid is 34 & a professional NHL player, new to Toronto.
It’s love / lust at first sight.
Lots of love out there for this book , so don’t let my opinion put you off.
HEA? More HFN Cheating? No. Hero has been celibate for two years prior to meeting Lilah.
Im.......at 22% and I think I'm done. She's a quiet college kid and he's a pro hockey player. She's quiet and shy but probably hot since the waiter dude at the party shes at (its at her house) won't stop hitting on her and shes uncomfy.
He sees her and hears angels singing 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 lordt.
did I mention she's quiet? And shy? She's quiet and shy. Got it?
Then he follows her around her college campus And she catches the doofus. then I was like.....Yeah....I'm done 😂😂😂🤦
And I'm not an arc reader so *boop*
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
It had such good tropes and would have been pretty good if it had good depth and more pages but for a novella it was ok.
POV: Dual, 1st person. SERIES or STANDALONE: 1st in series, can be read as a standalone. TROPES: M/F adult, age gap, hockey, forbidden-coaches daughter SIZE: 116 (last page) Kindle pages. CHARACTERS: Kincaid (34) & Lilah (20)
Sometimes I crave certain types of stories like I do food. You're not always in the mood for a 5 star meal; sometimes all you want is chocolate for dinner. I chose this book because I wanted something light and sweet and slightly wish-fulfillmenty to read quickly. Did it hit the spot? Overall, yes. The premise intrigued me and I liked the mood of the story immediately from the first few sentences. However, there were some actions by the hero that made me like the story less—behaviour that I don't think is okay. But it's important to note that the heroine found it swoony, so this could just be a difference in romantic preferences between me and the author? I'm more okay with that than heroines tolerating behaviour they don't like. I'm not sure if I'll read the next book in the series, but I do think it was set up extremely well in this one!
Uhm. Hello. Kincaid. My heart is yours lol and everything else too ;) this was a great insta-love/lust book that was fun and hot and relatable (I’m looking at you, Lilah. I feel you, girl. So much.) The spice was just so *chef’s kiss* and the characters good.
Claimed by the Center is an age-gap, forbidden insta-love, sports romance that is full of sweet and steamy scenes. Ms. Archer has you addicted from the start with her characters and their storyline. This story is a quick read but packs a hat trick between the pages. Lilah and Kincaid have an instant connection from their first interaction. He is a pro hockey player for the Toronto Thunder team and she is the coach's daughter. Not only is she off-limits she is also fourteen years younger and inexperienced. Lilah knows that she shouldn't have feelings for Kincaid but the heart wants what the heart wants. She should be keeping her distance but he seems to be everywhere she is, coincidence or is it something more? Lilah wants Kincaid to show her everything and do everything with her that she has never experienced. His dirty talk and sultry eyes have her melting right on the spot. Even though their relationship has a forbidden aspect, they are perfect for one another. I loved his stalkerish ways, and how Lilah was everything to him. I can't wait for the next book in this series. At the end of this book, Ms. Archer teases us with the next couple, her best friend's dad, and an age gap. I have a feeling that one will set the pages on fire just like this one. The bonus scene had me needing a cold drink.
4.5 ⭐s The coach's daughter and the hockey player.
Lilah's father, a former star hockey player, was recently appointed head coach of the Toronto Thunder pro hockey team. He's hosting a party for the team and staff before the beginning of the new season and his job. She hates parties with a passion, but she loves him, and the party is being held in the home she shares with him. Her father has forbidden her to date hockey players. He blames hockey for the breakup of his marriage when Lilah was ten. Lilah has no experience with boys, let alone men. She's shy, blushes way too often, and has trouble carrying on simple conversations. However, she feels comfortable around Kincaid, but there's still her father to deal with.
Kincaid Campbell, the center and jersey number 44 of the team, is happy to be on the team that he grew up following. He's instantly attracted to Lilah when he sees her at the party. So much so that he begins stalking her in his free time. He just wants to keep her safe. A big problem, for others, is the age gap. He's fourteen years older than her.
They know they have to disclose their relationship to her father. While they're deciding the best way to do so, he unexpectedly arrives at Kincaid's door. At just about the worst time possible...
I received an ARC of this book from the author via Booksprout. I am voluntarily leaving this review.
A super hot and sexy sports romance with a fourteen year age-gap between this very awesome couple. He’s a very talented and very single hockey player who’s been playing professionally since the age of twenty-two, has won championships and is a four time All-Star. His name is Kincaid Campbell and he’s thirty-four years old and back in his hometown and has been brought in to play for the Toronto Thunders. It’s been years since they won a championship. His coach Shane Ferguson whose daughter Lilah twenty years old lives with him is hosting a party at his home to welcome Kincaid. Lilah is not into parties, she’d rather read a book, study or play video games but decides to support her dad and attends the party. When Kincaid and Lilah set eyes on each other, there’s an instant overpowering connection that they can’t deny nor ignore. He’s frozen on the spot, looking at an angel, a mirage, a vision: that’s how he sees her, the most beautiful girl he ever laid eyes on and she’s breathless as well. Alyson has captured my interest from the very beginning with this book. It’s filled with heartfelt emotions, lots and lots of dirty talk with exquisite spicy scenes and no cliffhanger! Don’t miss this amazing book, it’s got it all!! A 5 stars ✨ rating and more!
5/5 I read this in one sitting. It was so sweet & delicious!
TROPES: ~age gap ~hockey player x coach's daughter ~instalove ~forbidden love ~sports
In this novella, a hockey player goes after the sweet and shy coach's daughter. It. was. FABULOUS! Y'all, this book!!! THIS BOOK!!! Omg, I read it in one sitting and loved every second of it. This author, Alyson Archer, is incredible at what she does. I read her first book and loved it. This, her second book, was amazing. And now we can look forward to her third book having Shane and Sadie's story!!
I cannot wait to read more books by Alyson. She is very quickly becoming a favorite author of mine. Man, this book was spectacular! I loved the way it made me feel, giddy and squealing and kicking my feet. I've been in a book slump for a while now but this book has made me want to start reading again! <3
SAFETY: Ages: 20h, 34H Virgin/celibate: virgin heroine, celibate hero OM/OW drama: none at all Cheating/sharing: nope Kinks: praise, cockwarming, dirty talk, soft daddy dom vibes HEA?: yes!
I’ve enjoyed a few books by this author, and I can’t wait to dive into this new series!
It’s a fast-paced, easy-to-read, insta-love story I finished in one sitting. At her dad’s party, Lilah, a young and shy woman, discovers herself being attracted to a strong and handsome man. Kincaid, the new center on this team, faces a unique challenge—his coach happens to be Lilah’s father, making her completely off-limits. Nevertheless, he cannot stop himself from fixating on her and going to great lengths to secretly track her every move, all in the name of keeping her safe. Having seen her, talked with her, he sets out to claim her, for his own, forever. She quickly realizes that her desire for him matches his for her, and their connection becomes a secret, fiery and passionate affair. Until it isn’t!
The characters’ backstories are relatively light, but the story maintained a strong pace and kept me interested. I am excited to read more about this team, and look forward to the next new release.
I was fortunate to receive a free copy of this one and happily leave my review.
Alyson Archer kicks off her new series with a bang...several of them, actually ;) Lilah and Kincaid's story is a smutty tropefest: age gap, virgin FMC, obsessed (kind of stalkerish, actually--didn't totally love that, but at least he fessed up to it and it didn't last long) MMC, instalove, with a touch of forbidden (due to the whole her-dad's-his-coach part). It's a quick and entertaining read, heavy on the two MC's preoccupation with each other and smexy parts, fairly light on everything else--pretty much exactly what it promised to be.
As with Ms Archer's first book (Wanted by the Champion) there is a bonus epilogue if you sign up for her mailing list; as an added incentive, you'll also be in the loop to find out when the next book (Liliah's BFF and her dad's) is due out!
Rating: 4 stars / B

#AgeGap #InstaLove #Virgin #Sports #Novella Written in first person from an alternating dual POV, this can be read as a standalone and ends with a HEA. I was looking for an easy read set in Canada and this one fits the bill perfectly. Lilah (20) is the new coach’s young, shy, innocent daughter. Kincaid (34) is the new center for the Toronto Thunder hockey team. It was love at first sight when Kincaid spots Lilah at the team bonding party and rescues her from an over-eager waiter. Their relationship moves fast. Their feelings are intense, and forever together is on deck very quickly. I loved how Lilah blossoms with Kincaid’s love and protection. He cherishes her and worships her like a queen. Kincaid was a big softy that is all about taking care of his good girl. Lots of heated scenes made this a quick and spicy read. This was my first book by this author, but she did a good job making the characters interesting and making me want to read more books in the series.
CLAIMED BY THE CENTER is the first novella in the Toronto Thunder series and I loved every moment.
It is a fast-paced insta-love between an older, experienced hockey player and the young daughter of the coach. Kincaid and Lilah both have an instantaneous attraction to each other, although neither of them thinks the other would be interested. I loved how they got together and how Kincaid took care of Lilah in every way.
A brilliant start to a new series that I can't wait to continue. I can't wait to see the fireworks between Sadie and Shane. Absolutely recommended by me.

Lord! Ever since I found this author from another author's newsletter, I've been waiting for this book to come out. I'm obsessed with the men in Alyson Archer's books. Kincaid and Lillah had me in a chokehold from the beginning of the book. They are adorable together. The size difference between them is just the cutest thing ever, in my opinion. Kincaid was a goner for Lilah the moment they met. It was just amazing to read how their feelings developed within seconds. I loved reading his POV. The lengths he went through to know that his sweet girl was safe just makes you swoon. Also, they are so smutty together. They can't keep their hands to themselves. Kincaid has a very dirty-talking mouth that might make you blush. Ugh! They are great. I loved them.

Huge fan of Alyson Archer and her books!! This one was just as good as her first! This is the love at first sight story of Lilah and Kincaid. Lila is a 20 year old student whose dad is the head coach of a professional hockey team. Kincaid is the older, experienced hockey player. They both fall head over heels upon meeting each other at a hockey team party. Kincaid is a bit obsessed and goes full stalker mode - it's awesome! They are so sweet but also super hot together! I can't wait for Sadie's story!! Please tell me she's next!! Age Gap Hockey Obsessed Hero Stalking 🍆 warming Virgin h Size Difference Breeding
Another sports story, this time about Ice Hockey although now my fave team from Edmonton 😉
Kincaid is the new center player and he meets his coach's daughter at a party. Lilah is shy but he's mesmerized by her from the start even though he knows he's too old for her. However he starts following her to keep her safe until one evening when he asks her out to dinner. Fast forward it's turning into a hot age gap romance which I enjoyed reading.
Second book by Alyson Archer, also an advanced copy and my honest review as usual.
Lilah and Kincaid cannot help themselves when they laid eyes on each other, as their attraction is instant. However, his coach (her father) forbids her to date a hockey player. Due to this request their growing relationship is more complex than it should be, but it was entertaining to read. I really enjoyed the way Kincaid went after what he wanted when he realized their connection was unique.

Short and steamy Lilah and Kincaid's story is short and easy to read and oh so very hot! She's young and the coach's daughter, but the instant Kincaid laid eyes on her he was a goner. Stalking her could have been a little on the creepy side given he is 14 years older, but the author made his obsession work within the narrative and gave us an instant love story with some very steamy scenes and a bit of drama when daddy Shane finds out. Nothing much to it outside the bedroom scenes but an enjoyable short read.
