Every Christmas Eve, a virgin is given up as a sacrifice to Saint Nick. She’s left in the woods with nothing but the clothes on her back. If she dies, the town will feast. But if she survives the night, another will be sent in her place. For Imogen, that means her little sister could be next.
The Four Horsemen live for the hunt. But they have no intention of killing their prey this year. After centuries of blood and servitude, Conquest, War, Famine, and Death plan on keeping the sacrifice for themselves. And if they get what they want, Imogen won’t be a virgin for long.
This Christmas, it doesn’t matter if you’ve been naughty or nice… only that you survive.
Frost Bite is a dark holiday romance, a stand-alone novella where the FMC ends up with multiple MMCs. This book contains content not suitable for all readers. Please refer to the author’s website for a full list of CWs.
M Violet is a dark romance author with a flair for the dramatic. She likes whiskey, rainy nights, and writing by the fire. When she's not creating scorching hot villains for you to fall in love with, you can find her eating chocolate and binge watching her favorite shows.

Brutal, savage, extremely dark and full of depravity that will make the feint hearted faint or pray, but riveting to the point of luring you into the twisted darkness of erotic BDSM of pain and pleasure. Sassy and feisty Imogen was the town's people sacrifice as the eldest to Saint Nick for the Wild Hunt on Yuletide, but she wasn't going down without a fight as the formidable four Horsemen, Conquest, War, Famine and Death hunt her. They're savage, yet her body craves their depravity as the hunt continues. A century old prophecy, a ritual from virgin to whore to dark queen. St Nick ... Lol decidedly not a saint. The end had me salivating for Lucy's story. I rest my case by saying Ms Violet will bring the darkside to life and if that scares you, please skip, but if it intrigues you, go ahead and order ASAP. I received an advanced review copy and leave this review voluntary Thank you
A dark romance novella where the Four Horsemen work for Saint Nick. Imogen is meant to be a sacrifice for her village to Saint Nick. Only the Four Horsemen Conquest, War, Famine, and Death decide to take her for themselves. She is hunted and caught by each horsman as they show her how pleasurable life can be. After Imogen embraces her true self, they are ready to spoil her for the rest of her life. The ending was unexpected and insane.
Eeeekkkkk. I volunteer as tribute y'all don't even worry I will be the sacrifice for the four Horsemen.... Y'all this story is a FRICKEN AMAZING Krampas Saint Nicholas retelling. And y'all the POVs from the Four Horsemen Conquest, War, Famine, and De@th will have you panting begging for mercy on your hands and knees. Let's not forget sweet little Imogen the secretly fiesty FMC y'all seriously Need to grab this up to see how she handles Each of the Horsemen because Holy Smokes y'all it gets SPICYYYY....
Check your triggers before you dive into this delicious story
Devoured this. Story was intriguing. Spice was spicing. That ending. If you like primal and why choose this is definitely for you. Check TWs but definitely worth the read
Dark, spicy AND Christmas? YES.. I LOVED IT. This is my first Krampus retelling, and I am now very intrigued! If you like a depraved MMC, then sit back and buckle up, because in this retelling… you’re getting FOUR. This story packed alot into a short read, and will leave you desperate for the next book! M.Violet has such a talent for creating an intriguing world that will absolutely consume you. 5 ⭐️
To be hunted and devoured by the four horseman - yes please
Imogen is meant to be this years sacrifice to Saint Nick. Yeah well when the four horseman catch her they decided she won't be going to Nick after all.
Y'all Imogen is in for one heck of a night. This book takes primal hunt to the max. Each of the horseman has a chance to chase her up until she is handed off the Dê@th.
This starts in fear and quickly adds in first experiences and lust. This on starts spicy and just keeps getting hotter. These men devour and worship beyond anything Imogen could have ever imagined.
This may only be a novella but it'll have you panting very quickly and you'll never want it to end. This is one lucky lady but she has no idea that her being dropped into the Wild Hunt will be nothing like what she expected.
M Violet knows how to bring you into a work filled with folklore and monsters while leaving you panting and not even realizing you are completely immersed. You fall so quickly into the world that it seems like it was always here and you have finally found your home again.
This is definitely not the end and I definitely have some ideas for how this actually might tie into something else from M Violet. I can't wait for more.
Frost Bite by M Violet is a dark romance novel. This is a tale about a young sacrifice given to the four horsemen. Yes those four horsemen. It is a wild and crazy book that is very dark and intense but if you like dark romance you will definitely enjoy this. I was obsessed from page one and struggled to put it down.
Imogen is a beautifully written FML. She is being chased by the four horsemen. She basically is snowed in with these four in a cozy cabin setting in a dark romance. It is cozy setting meet intense dark romance. A wonderful winter read if you are a dark romance reader!
What happens when the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse work for St Nick? This dark and twisty novella answers just that... because as always M. Violet delivers. This starts out as a ritualistic hunt that has our FMC battling with herself for what religion and society says she is allowed and what her own primal needs are... and these men are willing to help her figure that out in the depraved way only the four of them can.
This is a fun sorta depraved but spicy story. I loved it. Imogen is chosen to be the v!rgin sacrifice this year for Saint Nick. She just needs to outrun and outsmart the Four Horsemen. But this year the Horsemen decide to forgo the sacrifice, they want Imogen for their own pleasure. I absolutely loved this reverse harem story. I definitely recommend checking it out.
ARC Review: Deliciously brutal and carnal in all the best ways. Like all of all of M Violets books. This dark and twisted little palate cleanser is the stuff of horny Christmas nightmares.
Featuring the four horseman of the wild hunt, depicted as feral gods who you just want to lick all over and their sacrificial virgin. But not all is as it seems this Yuletide.
Let us start with the check list shall we: ❄️Dark Holiday Romance ❄️Primal Play ❄️The Four Horsemen 🥵 ❄️Why Choose (because why survive one monster, when you can worship four)
We follow Imogen Bishop through The Wild Hunt, a sacrificial tradition straight out of nightmares. On this Wild Hunt, we are introduced to The Four Horsemen; Conquest, War, Famine and Death. They have decided after centuries of hunting, bloodshed and servitude to the ferocious Saint Nick, they will keep her for themselves.
This novella is action packed 😉 all the way through, it was exciting, it was dark and the ending?! Snuck right up on me, with a twist! Y’all, I cannot say this enough about M Violet’s writing, the spice is SPICIN’ 🔥 There was such a beautiful mix of wants and desires, I caught myself blushing again and again. These monsters know just how bad they can be.
So now dear readers I have one single question for you: “Do you think you can handle being a vessel for monsters?”
M Violet never fails to capture my attention immediately and suck me into her stories. This was another *done in one sitting* read and I absolutely loved it!
Imogen, our FMC, is an innocent, and a victim of her village's traditions. But she's also no damsel in distress. She has a spark of defiance and this will to survive no matter what, despite her feelings of obligation not to her village's aforementioned traditions, but to her younger sister, Lucy. M writes in such a way that Imogen 's struggle and pain is palpable to the reader. I really felt like I was going through her 'trials' alongside her. I could feel her shame, even as I screamed at her to let it go and give in to her captors.
Which brings me to our four, yes that's right, four MMC's. The Four Horsemen themselves... Conquest, War, Famine and Death. Omgoodness these men, these immortal beings are both delicious and diabolical. They're brutal and at times deeply cruel, pushing Imogen so far past all her limits and everything that's been ingrained into her since birth. I absolutely love our *boys*, who give as much pleasure as they do pain. Their possessiveness of her is tangible, and the way they crave her had me wishing that I too had four immortal men willing to go to any lengths to possess, protect and keep me at their side! These four MMC's are just *chef's kiss* 🤌🏻 and absolutely enthralling.
Aside from breathing life into characters that I genuinely cared about and was rooting for the whole way through, I was sucked in by the way M took the mythology she was obviously inspired by, and really made it her own. She's woven not only a steamy tale of rebirth and found family, but created a world that felt very real and very well fleshed out. She was also able to created this sense of dread and impending doom with the off page presence of our antagonist, and a very different interpretation of good old Saint Nick. I love how present she made her villain, while still keeping him very much in the background.
If you like your dark romance to have...
♀️ A Virgin FMC ♂️ Four Delicious, Dangerous, Possessive, Immortal MMC's 🫂 Found Family 🧬 Rebirth/Reincarnation 🎄 Yule/Holiday Vibes & A Reimaged Saint Nick ⛓️ D/s Dynamic & Bondage ⚠️ Non-Con & Dub-Con
... and an epilogue that will leave with questions and hoping for a sequel, then you're absolutely gonna love this book. And I insist that you drop whatever you're doing right now, and go read the trigger warning and content lists, because it gets dark and your mental well-being matters, so you can start reading this one immediately!!
Which brings me to my favorite part of the review to write, the ratings! Especially the spice, which was definitely spicing in 'Frost Bite'. It was dripping with a LOT of heat and unbridled lüst. Which M managed to balance perfectly with the story she's weaving. I absolutely love when an author can find find that sweet spot between ֆʍʊȶ and story, and it not be oversaturated by the spice. Which means I'll be giving Frost Bite 5 outta 5 🌶️'s on the spice scale, with an overall 5 outta 5 ⭐'s. I've read a few books of M's this year and this one is definitely my favorite. I genuinely hope she gives us more!! As always, if this review got you to pick up Frost Bite and read it, I hope you'll stop back by when you're done and drop a comment down ⬇️ below ⬇️ telling me what you thought!
I am begging you to hear me when I say this: Frostbite didn’t just ruin me — it possessed me. I am still wandering around my house like a frostbitten ghost because this story will not leave my mind. 😭🔥 From the moment I stepped into this world, M. Violet wrapped me in a blizzard of danger, desire, and divine obsession. And the way she writes? It’s not storytelling — it’s enchantment. She spins this icy, immersive world so vividly that you don’t just read about Imogene… you want to be her. You want to stand between four gods who would freeze kingdoms, burn the world, or tear reality apart if it meant protecting you. ❄️❤️🔥 And let me tell you… the dynamic between Imogene and these gods? Unhinged levels of tension. Four-to-one chemistry that had me clutching my chest like I was the one in the middle of that storm. The longing, the restraint, the “I shouldn’t want you but I do”… it’s intoxicating. I was feral. I still am. But what pushed this book from amazing to unforgettable? The mystery woven through every chapter. It’s not just spice and tension — there’s a darkness creeping under the ice, secrets layered so perfectly that every reveal hits like stepping onto thin ice and hearing it crack. You feel it building. You feel it tightening. And you need to know more. By the time I reached the end, I wasn’t just wanting the next book — I was starving for it. I need more of Imogene. More of the gods. More of the secrets, the danger, the obsession, the unraveling threads that promise an even deeper, darker story to come.
If you want: ❄️ Four gods with lethal power and devastating devotion ❄️ A heroine who refuses to be a pawn in anyone’s game ❄️ Mystery that keeps you on edge ❄️ Chemistry so explosive you feel it in your spine ❄️ Writing that grabs you by the throat and drags you into the cold
Then Frostbite isn’t just for you — it’s your next full-body obsession. ❄️🔥 This book was seriously amazing — one of those stories that stays under your skin long after the last page. A mesmerizing, addictive, beautifully crafted must-read. I am not well. And I cannot wait for more. ❄️✨🔥
Omg, WOW!!! This book is INTENSE -- in all the best ways!! M. Violet throws Yuletide at us with a twist -- a s@crif!ce is required. An oldest daughter must be offered up for the Four Horsemen to collect and leave for Saint Nick. In return, they'll receive gifts. In the end, it boils down to which fate is worse: de@th or a lifetime serving beneath a man, fulfilling whatever their heart desires. M. Violet sucked me in from the first page. I absolutely LOVED the spin with the Four Horsemen being injected into a wintery tale. It's not something that I would really expect to find and I could NOT get enough of it. Even better when Santa -- AKA, Saint Nick -- is not as innocent as you'd expect him to be. No, he's much...MUCH worse. This year's chosen? Imogen. Someone who was told at a young age of what her fate would be. There was no hope for a better future -- a chance to change her fate to something better. It had already been written into stone. Except being escorted into the forest causes a spin that no one expected. Now the Four Horsemen are eager to play...while Imogen must embrace a part of herself that she never expected to discover. There's twists & turns in this book. LOTS of dark themes -- what would you expect when it comes to the Four Horsemen?! It fits them to a "T". Oh, and there's a LOT of delicious steam ;) I was on the edge of my seat for the entire book and I was so sad when I finished reading! I wasn't ready to be done with this world yet!
Be ready for a wild ride ;) M. Violet is going to whisk you away on one that's going to leave you with some whiplash! And she's going to make the room VERY hot, VERY fast ;).
I look forward to the next piece M. Violet delivers!! OBVIOUSLY I recommend this -- especially if you want something a little dark for the holiday season!!
1 million times, yes!!!! This was so addictive. I couldn't put it down.
Our fmc is Imogen. She is stubborn, has a fiery spirit, is extremely brave, and is attracted to the darker things in life, a curiosity if you will.
Our mmc's are Conquest, War, Femine and Death. These beings are something else entirely. I think my favourite was Conquest but I really loved them all for different reasons. They are all a little unhinged, but there is a valid reason for it...
The plot was amazing. Imogen is to make the ultimate sacrifice for her family and her village to Saint Nick. Imogen has accepted her fate but isn't happy about it (obviously). Imogen, though, has a fighting spirit, and when the time comes, she fights tooth and nail against the four horsemen. But, these 4 are instantly obsessed with Imogen and will stop at nothing to do all sorts of naughty things with her before handing her over to Saint Nick. The thing is, do they really have to hand her over? Does Imogen want what they are willing to give to her?
There's so many questions, but the plot twist had my mind blown. It was so good. I loved every second of this story. I'm just sad it's over.
Also, Imogen's sister, Lucy, love her, I really need her story, I feel like it'll be an interesting one...
Amazing read!!!!
Thank you so much, M and your lovely team, for the opportunity to read this story and to be a part of your ARC Team. I am forever grateful 🙏

❄️ why choose ❄️ pitch black ❄️ survive the night ❄️ hunter/ pray ❄️ V!rg!n fmc ❄️ primal ❄️ knife play ❄️ the four horseman ❄️ so spicy
Dark, dub-con/non-con, reverse harem, fantasy. Imogen is forced (due to the town's 'rules' as the first born daughter,) to sacrifice her life in order for the rest of the townsfolk to receive gifts a plenty from Saint Nick. She becomes the prey in the hunt. The Four Horsemen will track her down and bring her to Saint Nick to be his sacrificial lamb where death is guaranteed. She doesn't really have a choice, because if she were to survive the hunt, someone else must go in her place.. and this means her sister's life is at stake. Unfortunately for her, those Horsemen have a plan of their own, and she's not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing, especially since they seem to speak in riddles. As I mentioned, it is dark, and it is filled with dirty deeds. (Quite literally.) ;) While Imogen and the rest of her people are 'normal' humans, Saint Nick and the Four Horsemen are some sort of supernatural beings. The book reads quickly and easily. It is more spice than plot, but there is a plotline. It does have a HEA of sorts, though maybe not in the typical sense. It also has a ending that could be a hint at a future book, or just one of those instances that are meant to leave us wondering. This is novella length, so it doesn't delve as deep into character development, and gets to the point quicker than it would in a full length novel. This is intended for mature readers. There is some material that may be considered a trigger for sensitive readers, so check the authors website for any trigger warnings if you think you may need to. It does alternate POVs, so we get a small peek into the minds of the Four Horsemen as well as Imogens.
Imogen Bishop’s journey into The Wild Hunt is a plunge straight into holiday-season terror, where ancient rituals demand blood and survival is never guaranteed. This novella throws you headfirst into chaos from page one, introducing the fearsome Four Horsemen—Conquest, War, Famine, and Death—monsters bound for ages to the brutal Saint Nick… until they decide they’re done obeying.
The pacing ? Relentless. The atmosphere ?Pitch-black and deliciously twisted. And the ending ? Hit me like a shadow in the dark—absolutely blindsided me in the best way. M. Violet’s writing is wickedly addictive. The spice is intense (like, blush-every-chapter intense), and the dynamic between Imogen and these monstrous legends is a sinful blend of hunger, power, and forbidden longing. These Horsemen know exactly how to unravel a girl, and yes… Daddy Death owns my entire soul.
What really captivated me was how seamlessly the world-building blends folklore with horror. The story reimagines the holiday season through its raw, primal origins—rituals, promises, and the terrifying price of tradition. Imogen’s so-called “gift” to Saint Nick becomes the spark for a rebellion centuries in the making, and the Horsemen stepping in turns an old myth into something feral, seductive, and gloriously unhinged.
This book checked every box for my dark little heart : brutal myth, monstrous men, sensual terror, and a story that feels like Christmas dipped in ink. A perfectly depraved holiday treat for readers who crave the shadows.
This isn’t a sweet fairy tale. It’s a dark, gripping story set in a twisted world where nothing is fair for women. You either stay and submit, or accept a doomed fate.
So maybe, before diving into this outside-the-box read — which I absolutely loved — you should check the full list of CWs available on the author’s website.
Our FMC is forced into the second option, but once she arrives, she feels deceived and overwhelmed. Still, she’s not sure if that’s entirely a bad thing… The four MMCs are dark and twisted, yet they make her feel things she never imagined. This leaves her torn and confused.
Her journey is anything but easy. And like all good hunters, they prefer to exhaust their prey before catching it. It makes the reward all the more delicious. In the end, this isn’t what she was meant to be signed up for — but now that she’s here, maybe she can get something… good(ish?) out of it?
What I liked most about this novel: - the intense level of steamy — absolutely out of this world, to the point where I admired the FMC resistance and resilience, - the author’s ability to surprise us in the best ways — just when you think you’ve figured things out, a twist appears and reminds you that nothing is what it seems.
It’s a stand-alone novella with an HFN ending (and the possibility of a future story?).
I have received an Advanced Reader Copy in exchange for an honest review
So when you're the eldest daughter in this village you can be chosen for a sacrifice to Saint Nick, who is actually awful, and now I'm scared because of the ending?!? My God.
But, before the ending let's get into it, Imogen is the oldest daughter and gets chosen as a sacrifice, but before the Four Horsemen (ya know them, ya love them, Conquest, Famine, War, and Death) can bring the Imogen to Saint Nick. It turns out they like this mortal peasant (and she's not even a pick me about it).
You saw the Primal K!nk and Predator/Prey tag so it's gonna be a chase, and let me spoil it right now, it's a solid 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5 chili peppers, and it's hot, and also cold because this is a Christmas Story.
I usually go in depth with the characters but the four horsemen are all hot, muscular, and bat 💩 crazy (Death has a pierced 🍆 so I'll shout him out lol).
Okay back to the ending the only person who Imogen cares about besides her four men is her sister who... yeah you'll just have to read about it 😘😘
Plot: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5
(my only nitpick is that there's no way she stayed a virgin that long lol but it's a Christmas Dark Romance so I'll let it slide)
Let’s give round of applause to MViolet’s beautiful mind because i will never skip a book of hers, she has this really amazing flow to her books, like you want more, you need more. Always easy to read, incredible plot, so well thought of, so intricate but yet beautifully explained. The emotions she evokes good or bad, she just always hits the right spots for me. And don’t even get me started on the spice, its earth shattering, i’m not kidding, or exaggerating. It’s new and exciting and and ugh GOOD! Again hitting those right spots ( winkwink)
I never thought i would ever and i do mean EVER pine over the four horsemen, but i did, i still do… This novella gave us the start of something bigger, i really do feel like this is only the beginning of the world and i am ready for it. I need more….
Knowing that your life is about to end as you know it, that you’re a sacrifice so that your parents and the rest of the village can have prosperity, so that your sister can live her life, would you accept it? The only thing she can do is run…. But these four men have a different idea, they will hunt you and claim you.
That ending when all the pieces of the puzzle finally fit, it hit me hard…. I am ready for more.
For generations, every year on Christmas Eve, the village council sacrifices innocents that have come of age to Saint Nick and his Four Horsemen for the wild hunt. As the eldest daughter of her family it’s Imogen’s turn. Having no choice but to comply or her younger sister will be next. Now left alone in the deep dark woods, Imogen must play a deadly game of pursuit with the four horsemen who each have their own savage agenda of bloodlust for her with depraved goals. From the very start Imogen is a sassy selfless heroine who values her sister’s well being above survival. These four deprived Horsemen have done the violent bidding of Saint Nick for centuries at a heinous cost but this year they’re hunting for themselves. An otherworldly dark perverse modern retelling which intertwines the beauty, her beasts and a ritualistic holiday terror theme that is brutal in its intensity defined by unexpected twists that will leave you gasping! The spicy scenes are unrestrained merrymaking🥵 This ending leaves the question of what’s next. Trigger heavy so be mindful. I don’t know how she does it with so few words and yet this story is a deliciously dark tale of wicked goodness🖤 Another banger‼️ Put this in your Xmas🎄stocking🧦and on the TBR list!😉
A dark romance novella with plenty of TW’s! If you want a dark and spicy winter time read, this might be the one for you. It did have an interesting storyline, but this novella is mostly spice, the dark depraved kind, with maybe 10-20% being plot.
I enjoyed it, although I was at times aggravated by the fact that the FMC had no say in the things that were happening to her, but there was a bit of a twist reveal at the end of the book that changed my feelings about that!
“Even monsters need love.”
This novella focuses on a village that sends a girl (freshly 18 & virginal) to be hunted every winter by the 4 horseman, in return the villagers get food and whatnot from Saint Nick. Well, this year the horseman decided to keep Imogen for themselves and sate their desires with her. But Saint Nick will find a way to get his vengeance…
My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5 Spice Level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ 5/5

This is the first book that I have read from M Violet and I have to say that she has me craving to read more of her books. Now before I get into the review I want to highly suggest that you listen to the playlist she created for this book. The songs and artists she picked fit perfectly wth each chapter.
I came by this book from a suggest on a Facebook group page. I decided to added it to my 25 days of novella books for the month of December.
Right away I knew It was going to be good. With just the dedication for this book. Yes I would love to be on the naughty list. Also I was giggling like a little school girl reading the tropes and trigger warning page. I am a big fan of why choose/revese harem and then you throw in hunters/prey with a wild hunt. One word: SOLD.
I was squirming with eah dirty, spicy, smutty foreplay between Imogen and the 4 horsemen. Each solo interaction with the men awake something dark and primal in Imogen. I have to say that the scene between Famine and her opened my eyes to a kink I never thought about.
I'm not going to give away any more about the book except that the smut level is a 100. I will say that I can't wait for the next book. I need to know what happens to Lucy with Saint Nick.
Oh my….i’d like to volunteer for the next Yuletide sacrifice!! Ummm where I can I sign up? What village do I need to travel to for this?! WHEW!!!! I want to be absolutely devoured by the four horsemen, please!!!
My favorite books are and always will be folklore/fairy tale retellings, so I knew I had to read this!! And I’m so happy that I got to ARC read this one!! If I could give it more than 5⭐️’s I would!! The spice was definitely a 5🌶️
I absolutely loved everything about this book!! This is probably my favorite M. Violet book of all now!! The characters were so well written and it captures you from the very beginning!! The ending shattered me when you learn who Imogen is to the horseman and their absolute devotion to her!! And oh lords… the horseman were so delicious and devastating!!! They are intense and brutal, but the absolute love they have for her, was beautiful!!
The storyline was a great combination of the tales of Saint Nick and the 4 horsemen, with a twisted version of Yuletide! Every part of this book was so beautifully connected and oh my the ending was not what I expected!! I can’t wait to see what becomes of Saint Nick!!
Frost Bite, written by M. Violet, is a dark holiday romance novella that features multiple MMCs. Perfect for taking the chill out of winter weather and warming you up! M. Violet delivers a nice spin on good ol' Saint Nick.
Every year, a virgin is offered up as a sacrifice to Saint Nick, and this year is Imogen’s turn. She is left in the woods with just the clothes on her back. Imogen refuses to go down without a fight. Who is hunting down poor Imogen - none other than the four horsemen: Conquest, Famine, Death, and War. Yet when they set their eyes on her, a centuries-old prophecy comes to fruition. Have they found their Dark Queen? What of Saint Nick and his sacrifice?
Ah - YUM!! Where can I get my own horsemen?? I mean, I would even settle for Death alone. I loved the feisty Imogen! She was spunky and not a pushover. She gave as much as she got. She always had her little sister in the back of her mind - PLEASE BE A BOOK TWO!
Thanks to M. Violet for gifting me an eARC of Fost Bite. I am leaving this review voluntarily. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This book is absolutely brutal, savage, and drenched in darkness that will push even the faintest hearts to their limits. The depravity on display is enough to make you gasp, and yet, it’s riveting in the way it pulls you deep into the twisted world of BDSM where pain and pleasure intertwine. Imogen, the fiery and sassy heroine, becomes the town’s sacrifice to Saint Nick for the Wild Hunt on Yuletide. But don’t be fooled—she’s no helpless victim. As the Four Horsemen—Conquest, War, Famine, and Death—hunt her down, she fights with every ounce of her being.
Their cruelty is matched only by the growing craving she has for their twisted touch. The century-old prophecy that looms over her, and the journey from virgin to depraved queen, is as dark as it is compelling. Saint Nick? Definitely not the saint you think he is. The ending left me absolutely salivating for Lucy’s story next. Ms. Violet has truly brought the dark side to life in a way that will haunt you, but if that kind of darkness scares you, proceed with caution. If, however, you're intrigued and ready for a wild, twisted ride, order this book ASAP. It’s not for the faint-hearted, but for those brave enough, it’s a gripping, unforgettable experience.
i volunteer as tribute to be hunted & devoured by the four horsemen !! something about the vibes/castle setting of this reminded me of nosferatu
imogen is a feisty girl with a crescent moon birthmark etched on her thigh. for the sake of her village she’s a chosen one set to be sacrificed to saint nick for a ritual called “the wild hunt” but she gets captured by the four horsemen as they have other plans for her. they prey upon her, protect her & have their own ritual to bury her alive in servitude
conquest | war | famine | death over a prophecy of many moons.. will they be her fate or death?
m violet strived at crafting an exquisite, dangerously dark romantic underworld full of folklore that painted saint nick as a villain. she took primal hunt to the max. she’s also super underrated i understand that i need to get my hands on her other books !!
This book was ABSOLUTELY everything my dark depraved little ♥️ desired in a "Holiday-ish" pitch black erotic horror novella!!! Thank you so much for writing something for those of us who love the darker things in life! I especially loved how Saint Nick followed along with ancient lore & tradition as opposed to the one we commonly call Santa today.
Imogen (our FMC) was supposed to be taken to the woods as a sacrifice to Saint Nick and in return the family would receive a sack of goods that would be left on their doorstep the next morning. (this was as long as she was captured & killed by Saint Nick) If the Imogen were to survive the "Hunt" then the village (her family included, Mom, Dad & Sister "Lucy") Enter the four Horsemen, Conquest, War, Famine & Death. Without giving too much away, let's just say they weren't too happy with how Saint Nick had been doing things & decided enough was enough & they were going to take what was theirs once & for all!!! These Horsemen are straight out of every dark, dirty fantasy I've ever had! Especially Daddy Death
A Christmassy take on the four horsemen and St. Nick 😬
Imogen, knows from a young age that she is to be sacrificed in the wild hunt. Chased through the woods, caught by Conquest, her fear palatable, her feistiness attempting to win only to succumb to his seduction before he pushes her to run again. This time Famine catches up to her, her fear is still strong but her will stronger, again she is seduced by him as he throws her to the ground before telling her to run. War catches her, in more senses than one, he thrives on her fear, sucking it up like a succubus before dragging her to their castle and leaving her to the wrath of death…I could be just putting these words out there to entice to to read this because it gets far more intense than this and we learn a whole lot more 🫣
Loved it, the sacrifice made, the angst of her running, the fear you feel for her, the devotion and the spice. This story just lassoes you into the pages and doesn’t release the rope from around your throat, and that ending 😱
