Secret Betrayals: Dark MC & Mafia Romance | Second Chance | Romantic Suspense

Rate this book
Some sins never die. And some loves refuse to stay buried.

Brian “Talon” Masterson leaned into everything that mattered. Wearing the crown of the Lucifer’s Saints MC Presidency was always his legacy to carry. Loyalty, brotherhood, blood—that’s the world he chose. But no patch could ever cover the scar left by the woman he betrayed and let go… or the truth he never saw coming.

Gabriella Barone was supposed to be a memory. But memories don’t show up with fire in their eyes, secrets on their tongue, and ties to a mafia dynasty ready to set the streets on fire to protect their own. She’s back, not as the girl he once loved, but as the key to a betrayal that could destroy everything his family has built.

When war erupts between the Saints, a rival club, and a mafia family with its own agenda, enemies close in from all sides. Secrets surface. Talon and his family become targets caught in a web of secret betrayals. His world begins to unravel—hidden children, a past drenched in deceit, manipulation, and a woman who was never truly his to lose.

Now, to protect what’s theirs, Talon and Gabriella will have to face past sins, fight the devil at their back, and choose between vengeance and redemption.

Because this time, walking away isn’t an option, and losing her again might just cost him everything—including his life or the lives of those he loves.

Author This is Book One in the Sinners Series. Previously published as Talon’s Secret, this edition features new and extended scenes that peel back the layers, deepen the betrayals, and shift the stakes. What you thought you knew? Think again. Every truth comes with a price, and every lie leaves a scar.

Great story, can't wait for book 2

I was hooked from the beginning. A bit different from the usual MC\Mafia books. The hero, isn't really much of a hero and It's hard to like or even care about him at first. Then the layers are slowly removed as the story unfolds revealing a flawed tortured man who you can't help but route for in the end. So many twists and turns makes this a compelling read and the heroine, wow, just wow, what a woman. I haven't revealed any of the storyline here, you'll just have to read it yourself. I know you'll be as enthralled as me.

The author says herself in the forward that this book is way over the top and it's bananas.
Hero cheats when they are younger, no excuses, he just isn't taking life seriously despite the heroine offering him an out but he insists he's all in.
Mc/ Mafia.
She leaves him at the start after he cheats.
He ends up married to the other woman as she was pregnant.
Heroine left and was also pregnant. She did try several times to get in touch but other woman interfered with communication.
Heroine had quads or 5 kids I couldn't work out how many in the end, got confused.

The plot is not difficult to work out who the mole and saboteur is...... but it does get bananas.

2 books to complete sorry. Cliffhanger ending. Trigger warnings at start.

MC, betrayal, secret babies, mafia

Recap:
Gabriella is a mafia princess in hiding, kinda, and falls for the future president of the LSMC, Brian/Talon. They are together for 2 years but super young and he cheats and she leaves without drama. When she finds out she prego she tries to reach him but he’s an idiot and his future o’lady, Heather, actually
Knows he has kids but fakes him not caring and so Gabi gave up and moved on. They both felt like they lost the love sod their life but he became hard and didn’t know love just loyalty and family while she also knows family and loyalty but is cold and detached. 17 years later her brother, the Don, Sam, forces her to address this and deal with the problem they have been monitoring and keeping the MC safe from. She did it all these years for her 4 kids father. When she gets there shit hits the fan and hr 2 sons are all he learns about. Axel, Talons brother and VP, being the hot head he is runs his mouth and attacks Gabi, sparking her son Sebastian to be real pissed so when Heather talks shit she left shit in the shoulder. This is after Talon is attacked by another club, who we learn is working with the Salvators who have a blood feud with their mom who has been hiding with the help of Gabi’s family. Talon wakes up after a month and need to be caught up. Gabi killed the Salvators and finds out there is a mystery player and they all need to work together to kill the ones putting them in danger. It is revealed Heather and a club member Tommy boy have been spying for the rival club playing the long game. Continued in second book…..

Not sure why the second book isn’t on good reads and combines with the first…
2nd book recap:

Ends with Verity being held captive by the Columbrassia, who are trying to destroy the club and their family! She is holding on by a thread as she is tortured everyday. Ghost is a horrible person and wants to destroy her completely before she does. Her love for her “sister” Victoria who sacrificed herself to try and me the escape, even if she was caught. Then it flashes to Victoria being alive and wandering to the club to find her parents, the daughter of Vera and Brock (mom and dad of Talon, Axel, Nitro, that they thought was dead all these years, but Vera knows she’s hers instantly….this family has even more secrets.

Gabrielle is left heartbroken when she walks in to find Talon cheating on her, she turns her back on him and his club.

She most definitely upsets the applecart 17 years later when she walks back into the clubhouse, leaving Talon shocked and angry.

Gripping from the very start, this is a really fast paced MC/Mafia read. It’s oozing with secrets, lies, betrayals, OW drama, shocks and an ending that had me immediately diving into book 2

Disappointed

The plot is good and well written. Do you hear the but? Don't read if you like completed books because this story isn't. Apparently there is a book 2. Just my opinion but I don't. I like to have a beginning, middle and end....a true end not to be continued.

The characters are well developed and interesting. The male lead is a bit full of himself and very selfish.

Like I said, if you don't mind continuing your read to a 2nd book, you probably would like this.

Secret Betrayals

I do not like the ending. I need more. This sucks i know it continues. I should have been in one book, though, left me in suspense. I really didn't see Heather doing this and not actually loving him, but then again, he never really loved her.

The story was interesting and dramatic enough to keep turning the pages. However, this was only a 4-star read for me due to the writing being so very repetitive. It gets slightly annoying after a while.

A bit hard to follow.

This was a great but slightly disjointed book. It introduction of the V sisters was confusing as to what the connection could be up until the last chapter. This made it hard to stay invested in the book. We got there in the end and had the "Oh" moment it conjured. Thought provoking.
