Some of the wonderful things that make Both of Her so amazing are the unique story, the splendid character development and the fact that the ending manages to be both realistic and wonderful at the same time.
Luca lives a double life. From Monday to Friday, she successfully shares the partnership at a prominent marketing agency at Chicago with her two best friends she knows from college. Every weekend, she transforms into a sexy escort who enjoys extreme sexual pleasures with men. She's paid only in expensive jewelery and other gifts and never money, and only two people are aware of her double life. A pilot named Camden she'd met ten years ago had introduced her to this kind of luxurious lifestyle and she's been living this way since then gaining wealth and satisfying her extreme carnal instincts.
One day suddenly everything changes. The two worlds collide, her friends and partners learn about her other identity and her beloved pilot comes back unexpetedly to her life. People she used to trust with her life reveal their wicked plans, undermine her prosperous life and threaten her. Luca will have to struggle for survival and go back to the man she loves.
The only real complaint I had with this story was that I didn't feel the love between Luca and Camden develop naturally. The chemistry and compatibility between them was obvious, I just couldn't feel the smooth development of their relationship from attraction to lust to love.
It was a story of second chance, personal struggles and forgiveness brought through easy and fluent writing, great suspense and characters who aren't perfect but make it right in the end.

Lions.. And.. Tiger and bears? Hell no! Let's talk, garters, and jewels and hella sex oh yes! But don't be fooled because the Queens of Mind Fucks have come together and brought me the ultimate head spin! What you think happens... Think again, what you think you know, you don't. I can't even really describe how much of a badass book this is. I was thoroughly enchanted with Luca/Lucia... And all of her escapades made me live them, down to the soaked underthings. However, don't be fooled in thinking it's just your average run of the mill sex laden book because you'd be sorely disappointed. This is an action packed, drama filled, mind feeling read that you're likely not ever able to forget anytime soon. The writing styles of these two authors are combustible. By this I mean that they are so in sync that you really can't tell who wrote what but are damn glad they wrote it together. Captivatingly robust.... That's the best term I have for this book. With such relatable and in time characters, you'd be remiss in putting it down. I highly suggest this book and question your literary sanity if you don't read it!

This is the first time i have read anything by Alisa Mullen, I've had the pleasure of knowing Kathy Coopmans can write a story that will take you through EVERY emotion humanly possible!!!
Together...... WOW!!! This book was EXPLOSIVE and kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire book...
Luca and Lucia may share the same body.... But when Luca leave the office for the weekend and becomes Lucia all bets are off!!!!
When her past meets her present ALL hell breaks loose and threatens to destroy everytjing Luca has worked her entire life for.
When someone becomes impatient waiting for Luca they do everything they can to destroy her.
Will Luca finally have her happiness? Will Lucia stop with her wild ways Or will Luca lose Both of her?

FIVE STARS IS NOT ENOUGH!!! MOST MIND BLOWING BOOK of 2015!!!!!! Way to go Alisa Mullen and Kathy Coopmans!!! I am so honored that with the both of you chatting and both of you having a tie for the top MIND BLOWN Books that you decided to write one together to see if it would blow your tie away. WELL GUESS WHAT IT DID!!!! This book on some parts I had a feeling but I tell you there was alot leaving me going OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF!!!!!!!!!!!! So lets just say reading Both of Her was off and on intense,mellow and watching Luca and Lucia living the life she is living and seeing what happens to her. When you get a woman, Luca/Lucia who is a CEO but at the same time hides a side of her that we could only imagine to be parts of a fictional story? Add to that the pressure of having to keep that other side of her life strictly between her 'clients' and her.. Does she ever get a small glimpse into a HEA or a true love that diminishes any of her physical and mental abuse??
Uhm yeah, this was definitely a book that you do not want to miss..
Different.
Intense.
Dark.
Gritty.
Sexy.
Heartbreaking.
Full of soul!!

BOTH OF HER had that element of surprise which to be honest, was not expecting to have such a big impact in how I saw the story from a certain point.. not wanting to spoil it, I'll just say that both the authors KNEW EXACTLY how to twist + turn out emotions but what was "worse"? They truly were relentless in leaving no stone upturned when it came to testing our sanity!!
I mean, how do you not connect with characters that have such a raw, intense and heartfelt story to tell?
How do you simply walk away from a character that had everything work against her at a point in her life that to some extant, she thought she had it all under control?
And how the hell do you keep calm when all this story keeps doing is bringing one twist after the other? One test after the next? One sexy scene after the other?..
The surprises never stop, and nor did my tears and near emotional breakdown when it came to that ending.. Goodness me!! I can only ever applaud authors who do so much as write words with the effect of having to touch our hearts in more ways that one would ever think. I hope that made sense? But I mean, how can I ever think that a review (if someone is ever reading it..?!) to do justice in the smallest way when it comes to a story that, not sugar coating anything, had such a strong impact?
I can only hope that if you are reading this, and you think you can handle your heart and mind being tested because you need to pick up your ass and get your hands on BOTH OF HER because, it's that bloody good!!

I would like to point out that I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Where do I even begin with this one? I haven't been able to start another book since I finished this one. Which should say a lot. It was an absolute phenomenal read. I was pulled in after the first couple pages, and from then on I couldn't put it down. I would call it a multi-task read. You know the one where you have to make dinner for the family, but you CAN'T put the book down. So you find yourself cooking and reading at the same time. I was deeply consumed.

I thought I had it all figured out, but Coopmans & Mullen are super wizards and had me fooled. Lol. I was in utter shock when the truth was exposed. I recall my jaw hitting the floor and me saying, "OMG!!! SERIOUSLY!? NO WAY!" Haha, quite wonderful.
So with all of that being said I have to rate Both Of Her 5+ stars.

This story is just W O W !! It started off just a little bit slow for me, but then wham things started to pick up rapidly and they just kept going.. Both of Her was a terrific read.
One canceled flight and one sexy pilot changed her life forever. After spending one unforgettable night with a hot and older Camden, Lucia develops a need for a few of the finer things in life.
Over ten years later Lucia is living a double life.. 5 days a week she is the CEO of Divine. When her weekends come she turns from CEO to Escort.. Things start to rapidly crumble for the successful millionaire when the one person she thought she would never see again comes waltzing back into her life. Things start to get a little crazy.
This has been a fantastic, emotional, and suspenseful read. Highly recommend.

Thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this book. Both, Alisa and Kathy took me for a wild ride on this read. The novel kept me on my toes, never sure what was going to happen next. I could see myself reading it again and still being shocked at what is to come as the book progresses.

Holy crap on a cracker this book was AMAZABALLS. I wish I could let my sailor mouth go because it needs it for this book. However Luca leads a double life as Lucia Westwood who is an escort like no other. I know what your thinking, but you would be wrong. Her life style though crazy is pretty amazing when she had nothing but her smarts.
When two of them from her past and present come back into her life not only will it knock her on her axis but it will destroy her in ways no women should every have to go through. Murder and mayhem and WTF moments is what you will get. Her lifestyle will bite her in the ass, but she has to fight, fight the will to live and survive. But can she?

Holy heck this book was fantastic.
Sex, lies, mysterious, nail biting turn of events and love is what you will get with Both of Her.
Luca lives a double life. Luca is an escort and a very prominent CEO of a company. She loves her friends, the few that she has. Two of which help run her company and the other is best girlfriend.
She meets Camden when her plane is canceled due to bath weather. She spends a few blissful days with him. He is forever etched in her mind. He is one man she will never forget.
Heath is a man she meets on one of escort dates. She enjoys the few days with him. But when she returns home, she leaves her other life behind..
That is until she has an expected turn of events when Heath and Camden, owners of Camden Steel, arrange a meeting with her company. Something goes horribly wrong when she finds some of her belongings stolen from her home and her life takes of some tragic events.
She fights for her life against a man that she never imagined would hurt her. Who can be trusted and who can't?
I need more books from this author. Her writing his phenomenal. Excellent book.

Both Alisa and Kathy write a story that makes you think and makes you feel.
One cancelled flight and three snowed in days forever changed Lucia's life forever.
Luca is the CEO of a multi billion marketing firm. She has a good staff and some who she'd call friends. They just didn't know about the other her. Lucia had a different agenda for the weekends. Commitment free and fancy things was all she worried about. Until both of her worlds collide. Friends who may not be what the appear to be are all over.
People who she knew as Lucia have landed right in the middle of Luca's world. When she has to choose between the two of her can she forget one or the other?
Will she be able to keep them separate ?
The one that may have gotten away shows up in time when she needs him the most. There are many twists and turns and a lot of wtf moments. A story so good you'll be flipping the pages for.
Great authors coming together for one amazing read! Highly recommended.

I don't know if I'm over emotional because this is the second book I've read that's had me in tears!

Fast forward 10 years and she is a wealthy business owner and leading this double life.
All hell lets lose after her weekend away and things get frantic.
I cried at quite a few parts and laughed at some.
Enjoyable, mind messing story.
I, once again! Could never figure out who was the baddie.
Recommend you read this.

Received an ARC for an honest review! You think you know but you have no idea. This book is hot, explosive and will keep you o the edge. One life inside the walls of the office Mon-Fri and all bets are off over the weekend. Luca is that woman with two lives. She is strong, successful and sexy. Camden shows her the world of a lavish lifestyle. Will Luca be able to survive her past becoming part of her present? Which person is the true character Luca or Lucia? If you love romance an suspense then this is a fabulous read. Highly Recommend.

What a twisted, crazy ride this book was. I have been blow away by books before but this book definitely takes the top of the list. I faced shocking moments in this book and moments that completed baffled me... the entire book. This book was so sexy, intense, passionate, edgy, and had me breathless by the end. It got my heart beating a little fast and definitely got my blood pumping.
These two authors nailed it in erotic romance and suspense. From the beginning, these two ladies captivated in a story that even I couldn't have predicted the outcome. I was taken by surprise many times and they definitely kept me guessing along the way, keeping me on the edge of my seat. These ladies turned up the twists and turns like no other book and gave me a story that was hard to let go.
This is Luca also known as Lucia's story. Luca is a successful woman who is all business. But when she finishes at works on Fridays, she become someone else. What a twisted, crazy ride this book was. I have been blow away by books before but this book definitely takes the top of the list. I faced shocking moments in this book and moments that completed baffled me... the entire book. This book was so sexy, intense, passionate, edgy, and had me breathless by the end. It got my heart beating a little fast and definitely got my blood pumping.
These two authors nailed it in erotic romance and suspense. From the beginning, these two ladies captivated in a story that even I couldn't have predicted the outcome. I was taken by surprise many times and they definitely kept me guessing along the way, keeping me on the edge of my seat. These ladies turned up the twists and turns like no other book and gave me a story that was hard to let go.
This is Luca also known as Lucia's story. Luca is a successful woman who is all business. But when she finishes at works on Fridays, she become someone else. This book is written by two authors Kathy Coopmans and Alissa Mullen. I have read Kathy's work before and loved it so when I was asked to review for this book I jumped at the chance..
I do have to say that I couldn't tell who wrote what part the whole book seemed to flow together and kept me wanting more. This book was a total mind $S%&@. I caught myself at times just stopping and going what the just happened?? I LOVED IT!!!
It kept me on the edge of my seat and I wanted to know what was going to happen next, but also not wanting the book to end.. TWO very talented authors come together to give you one EXPLOSIVE, fantastic, mess with your mind book!! You think you know whats going to happen and I will tell you right now YOU DO NOT!!!
Thank you for sharing this wonderful book with us and I look forward to reading who is next on your list to write about! I will say that this book deserved way more then 5 stars!! !

Luca West to osoba prowadząca dwa życia. Na co dzień jest szanowaną prawniczką, właścicielką i szefową firmy, a w weekendy wyjeżdża, żeby przeżywać erotyczne przygody z umówionymi facetami, w zamian za co otrzymuje kosztowną biżuterię. Przyznam się, że tematyka jest nietypowa, bo to zazwyczaj facet lubi się zabawić, u kobiet taka sytuacja zazwyczaj kojarzy się z prostytucją. Może gdyby nie miała za to żadnych korzyści materialnych, to można byłoby inaczej na to spojrzeć. Bardzo skrupulatnie ukrywa swoją tożsamość, nie daje swojego numeru telefonu, zawsze daleko wyjeżdża na swoje "podboje", jednak widać niewystarczająco się ukrywała, bo pewnego dnia do jej biura zawita jej pierwszy i ostatni facet. No i zaczyna się dziać, bo wraz z ich pojawieniem się zaczynają się dziać tajemnicze rzeczy, np. ginie z sejfu cała biżuteria Luci, znika jeden z facetów. Przyznam się, że miałam problemy ze skategoryzowaniem tej książki, bo miejscami był to erotyk, czasami komedia sytuacyjna, parodia, a w pewnym momencie zrobił się z tego "Koszmar z ulicy Wiązów", że nie wiedziałam, czy śmiać się czy płakać. Trochę było niedopowiedzeń odnośnie treści książki, do końca nie wiadomo, co się stało z pozostałymi facetami Luci, ale całkiem przyjemnie się czytało.

I have read every book Kathy Coopmans has written and published. Alisa Mullen is a newbie for me and I am putting her on my TBR list as of now. I really enjoyed this book. This book is a collaboration from these 2 authors. But, this book was written so beautifully that I'd never know it was written by 2 incredible authors if I hadn't already been told.
Luca West went to collage on a full scholarship for her music and was doing a double major in business. She grew up with 2 loving parents. They weren't rich and worked really hard for what they had.
Luca was headed home for Christmas during her freshman year in college. Unfortunately, the weather had other plans for Luca. While Luca's going off in the airport someone was getting a kick outta her tantrum. Luca comes face to face with a very sexy Pilot who's name is Camden. They end up spending 3 long fantastic days together. The best way to be snowed in if I do say so myself. Camden knows Luca as Lucia and teaches her a lot that weekend. He teaches her the way a man should treat a woman and the way a woman should expected to be treated. Before they separated he gave her a beautiful ring.
Ten years since the 3 days Luca spent with Camden. Now, Luca is a millionaire and CEO of Divine that she started with her 2 guy friends from college. Luca is an excellent business owner. But, that's not all she is. On weekends Luca is now Lucia Westwood. Lucia is not your normal escort. She doesn't take money instead she wants jewelry, dresses, massages and her nails/toes done. She has never taken a guy number or given or given hers. She doesn't see them more then once. If she does it's not often and never in the same place twice.

I don’t think I’ve ever said “are you sure we’re reading the same book?” But alas, with all of the five star reviews I have to ask, are we reading the same book?!?
This book desperately needs an editor and/or proofreader. If I was reading an advance copy I would give a lot more leeway given that it’s not uncommon for a book to go out before final edits, but this is a book I paid for, that others are paying for. I’m not going to recap the story as others have done; I am simply going to let you know what you’re going into.
From the very first chapter the book is riddled with malaprop and grammatical errors. In many cases it looks as though the authors used a thesaurus and did not fully understand synonyms offered. Examples:
“I know how nerving this rush hour traffic is.” (unnerving)
“It’s the most innovative ring I have ever seen in my life…” (I have no clue here)
“They look eatable” (edible)
“…plastering on my best New York slang…” (No clue, you can’t plaster sound)
“…and adorningly pampered…” (not sure here, either)
“He didn’t want to detain us from our time together…” (delay?)
“the smell of coconut plummets the air…” (permeates?)
“I decide to let her Goodwill idea puncture my brain…” (ouch!)
“I love these guys and they are priceless when it comes to implantation…” (excellent, implementation)
“Our turnover rate is nearly perfect…” (Retention?)
“…looks like a ravage animal…” (Savage?)
“All of the worry squanders away…” (Melts? Fades?)
“He sounds diverse somehow, from just a moment ago…” (Different?)
That’s only at the halfway point; you catch my drift. There are also multiple times where you’re/your, were/we’re, etc are misused and numerous spelling errors and typos. There are paragraphs where the past and present are used and make no sense. *Multiple* times the singular word breast is used instead of the plural, to the point where I think she might be wearing a sports bra and sporting a uni-boob. There are also many instances of redundancy; it’s clear by the midway point how much Luca loves and appreciates her family and friends, we don’t need reminders every chapter. The foreshadowing is very heavy handed which leads to a bit of predictability in the ending.
I don’t give one star reviews lightly. In the hundreds of books I have reviewed I have maybe a handful, but I just couldn’t let this one go. The bones of this story are good, but it reads more like a rough draft than a book that should be on the market. Put this manuscript in the hands of an editor and you’ll have a completely different book.

When Alisa Mullen proposed me to read Both of Her, it was the blurb that immediately convinced me and pushed to read it. Moreover the concept of writing with several writers always fascine me, and I really want to see what that gives. It is a winner gamble in this case, I appreciated my reading, especially the mixture of erotism and suspense, without forgetting the romance. The auteures surprise and handle the readers to involve them exactly where they want them to be.
Luca is a 28 year old woman who has really well succeeds in her life. CEO of a marketing and applications company, and billionaire, she appreciates the luxury of her life. But of course, there is a dark side that she keeps secret, her unslung escapades the weekends, it's when she lets appear Lucia, the luxury escort girl who likes diamonds and twisted sex. At the beginning, Luc(i)a seems to be a bitch without a heart, an egocentric person and egoist, but very quickly we see behind this appearance, which it is when her world collapses, and we sympathizes with her.
And it is when her professional and private lives meet in the shape of two men whom burst her universe. Camdem, a sexy pilot and which introduced her into the universe of the luxury and crazy sex, come back in her life for a job. And if it were not sufficient, he is friend with Luca's last conquest, Heath, which totally destabilze me, I didn't know what to wait from him. Luca's men will put her in a roller coaster, fortunately there is her circle of close friends for her. However a new bounce will appear again and will push her to trust nobody anymore.
Although it's initially an erotic romance with Lucia's sexcapades, the romance gets the upper hand with the idea of second chance, of innerself search. Then the suspense kicks on with Luca's problems. Did the world become insane? Is she alone? Can she trust somebody again? Is this a bad joke? We do not know any more what to think, and see Luca struggling and suffer, touch us inevitably. With a whole panel of emotions and some actions, this book is a page turner which we reads in only one draft.
Sex, money, treason, secrets and handling, everything is about the search of ourself and duality. Both of Her is full of surprises. This book was a beautiful discovery for my part which I can only recommend. I am in a hurry to read other works of these authors!

Two authors working together and never once was it perceivable the difference between one and the other, which proves their capacity of being to work well together. Albeit the style of the writing and the questioning and my thoughts on the plot, the one thing that really is important: this book was HOT! We are a pretty big fan of both these authors and were very excited when we seen this arc come up and let us assure you they didn’t disappoint.
We were taken on a journey with so many twists and turn and when we thought we had worked it out we were way off and then we thought we worked it out again we were way off again it’s a beautiful story of fate, love, passion, hope and compassion the beautiful connections Luca has with her friends and workers is beautiful to read but sometimes the devil is closer than you think.
We loved this book and couldn’t put it down!

Will Luca/Lucia make it out alive?

We are a pretty big fan of both these authors and were very excited when we seen this arc come up and let us assure you they didn’t disappoint.
We were taken on a journey with so many twists and turn and when we thought we had worked it out we were way off and then we thought we worked it out again we were way off again it’s a beautiful story of fate, love, passion, hope and compassion the beautiful connections Luca has with her friends and workers is beautiful to read but sometimes the devil is closer than you think.
We loved this book and couldn’t put it down!

This is nothing like I thought it would be- it was way more!!!
You really should read this book because it is one that you will not be able to stop telling all you friends about – it is that good.
So singing its praises may come easy but what is it about it that has me (and a whole hoard of others) so hot under the collar?
Well good books, are as we all know the ones that you turn the last page thinking –Oh, I liked that and then immediately start to flick through the library looking for what to read next, barely taking moment to recall the merits of the work that has captivated your attention for however long it took to read but is now so easily discarded.
Great books, like this one refuse to let you just brush them aside, they continue to plague you for as long as possible until they get their wicked way and you start skimming through again or if you are like me you do that naughty – re-read!
This is, make no mistake a great book!
Luca’s dual identity was intriguing and her decisions clear cut.
Until the inevitable occasion when both sides of her life come crashing together.
Honestly this woman has it all and she has it is bucket loads, and you as a reader will both love and hate her in equal measure but you will not be able to tear yourself away from the events that unfold.
I loved the surprises that were thrown in along the way, the twists that popped up to keep me on my toes and the challenges that Luca/Lucia brought to the table – as a character, she was superb.
But when the final piece drops into place – you will be gobsmacked – yes, definitely didn’t see that coming!!!!

My Review
As a lot of you know, i'm a little in love with Ms Mullen. Her style is as fresh and different as a Mentos mint in a diet coke bottle! explosive! She doesn't shy from the big issues in today's society which is as refreshing as it is controversial. However, i've never had the pleasure of reading anything by Kathy Coopman before...she was a bit of unknown quantity so i had no idea how the two would work together or how different they'd be...Which brings me neatly to Luca/Lucia...By day she's a kick ass corporate marketing powerhouse and at weekends she's an escort who has a taste for erotic sex and opalulant gifts.
Her double life comes to a head when her two identities crash together in one massive mess of jumbled feelings and confusion!
Now, what did i think...well, i loved Luca West. She's a mass of contradictions that i think most women can relate to in one way or another! Yes she's a bit of a tempestuous character but she's also really vulnerable. As the story progresses i feel that the readers perception of her naturally grows too.
When old flame Camden arrives back on the scene you can feel the instant sizzle...and we all like a bit of a lusty sizzle right? -wink- i never really felt a fluid transition from the lusty sizzle to warm and fuzzy love stuff however. Which isn't a bad thing, but everything else was so incredibly smooth that that stuck out for me.
I thought i had it all figured out...but i couldn't have been more wrong! The ending packs more of a punch than Mike Tyson! Excellent! Well done ladies!!
