He saved her once. Now he’s the reason she might never feel safe again.
Robin thought she was invisible—just a girl with her nose in a book, working quietly at a little bookstore. But the night two strangers followed her down a dark street, her entire world changed. He stepped in. Silent, dangerous, terrifyingly beautiful. Zane.
He warned her not to get involved. She didn’t listen. And neither did he.
Because something about her made him forget who he was—what he does. As the walls around his cold heart start to crack, Robin finds herself drawn into a world of secrets, violence, and blood-stained loyalty. But loving Zane comes with a price, and in his world, not everyone gets to walk away alive.
He was never supposed to matter. But now he’s the one thing she can’t survive losing.
A haunting slow-burn romance filled with forbidden longing, moral grey areas, and a love so dangerous it might just destroy them both.
Hi! I'm Ella Louise and I'm a teen author/writer who explores the emotional complexities of love, loss, and often the unseen struggles that shape our lives through my books. With the passion for creating rich, character-driven stories, I dive into themes of morality, choice and resilience in a world full of grey areas. My work is often a mix of fantasy, romance, mystery, and thriller where the characters' inner worlds play as much of a role as the plot itself.
This may sound like a bunch of gibberish to about anyone but it's true, I dive deeply into emotions.
I believe that stories have the power to not only entertain, but to also challenge the way we view the world around us. I believe that books can be used as an escape and I truly hope to write something that the readers can get lost in.
I'm currently working on my next project and I look forward to sharing more stories with readers everywhere.
•I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review •
Where do I begin?!
This story was outside of my comfort zone but I really really enjoyed it! The writing can use a small amount of ‘polishing’ however it didn’t affect the story or the storytelling to the point where the flow was disrupted. The characters are well written from my perspective, my personal favourite is Oliver! The main couple is definitely a highlight for me too! I love their relationship and how they have been written. If you know me, you know that I do love some banter between characters, and this book definitely delivers!
I do apologise if this is a vague review but I don’t want to spoil anything and I definitely recommend you pick up ‘Loss of My Life’ when you can!
Thank you again to Ella for trusting me with an ARC I definitely enjoyed it!
THIS BOOK OH MY GOODNESSSSS binged the whole thing i swear. THE WRITING STYLE IS AYGSHDMSADGHJASdygJSHM i love it so much. gold, once again, from ella louise 🙂↕️
Ella have created something beautiful here. The characters are too die for. I have my favorite character, Ollie and her best friend. While I love the main couple, I was drawn more to them and how they’re there for Robin. 4/5 stars for me and would read again. My heart hurts and I shall sue for emotional distress.
This story is pure intensity from start to finish. I could feel Robin’s fear, confusion, and growing attachment to Zane with every scene. Their relationship isn’t easy, but that’s what makes it so addictive. The writing is stunning, and the dark undertone gives the whole story a haunting beauty. It’s the kind of book that stays with you long after you’ve read the last line.
I was completely captivated by the emotional depth of this story. Zane’s struggle with his past and Robin’s bravery in stepping into his world made for such a compelling read. I loved the slow build of their relationship and the constant push and pull between love and danger. It’s beautifully written and heartbreakingly romantic. I didn’t want it to end.
As one of Ella’s friends, I was given the opportunity to be one of the Arc Readers. This book was absolutely amazing. I remember when she first told me about the idea of Loss Of My Life. There were a few mistakes i noticed, but for the most part it was really good. The story is very dark and I was not prepared for what happened in the middle of the book, But overall. I really enjoyed it.
Not what I would usually read but, OMDS I absolutely loved it. I binged it (forgot to leave a review soz), I just flew through it, it was that good. I actually need more Ella I'm begging you
