Receiving a promotion, moving deeper to a quieter floor, and being assigned an agentic partner, Tommy McNeil, are a big deal to Daryl, who struggles to acclimate to these new changes. He’s now in charge of a surface imaging team, a growing group of people who document, record, and map the destroyed city of Detroit and the surrounding area as part of the rebuilding effort.
What they see isn’t pretty.
Will Daryl be able to work effectively with his newly assigned AI partner, or will it all prove too much for him?
Communications are lost between Daryl and his brother as Casey recovers from the treacherous journey to Flathead Lake, where he is warmly welcomed into a new community, which is not without its problems.
Will Daryl ever get to talk to Casey again, with thousands of miles separating them and the world apparently in ruins?

Two Weeks After, book 3 in the Light Died series, continues the story of Daryl, Beth, Casey, Rachel and others as they adapt to the world as it is following the impact that destroyed much of the globe. As Daryl and Beth adapt to a new position and an over curious AI assistant and Casey and Rachel adapt to life at the Flathead Lake community as it is split by internecine disagreement about how to move forward. The book has good writing, good characters, and a great plot with just the right pacing. If I say more I might be giving away some of the surprises, so just do yourself a favor and read the Light Dies series, with Two Weeks After being the best in the series so far! 5/5 stars, highly recommended for fans of apocalyptic survival thrillers!
Where are the men in this story?? There are lots of people with masculine names but they mostly seem to be crybabies, every other page one of them is crying......I assume that Kevin Craven is Boyd's son and that he is trying to become a writer like his dad and grandpa......... But it ain't working.....sorry but the writing talent seems to have skipped your generation..... But I see you have a degree in computers so I'm sure you can rely on that for your livelihood. I've read the first three books of the series hoping it would get better....it doesn't.
Exciting and different crisis! The problem with AI was foreshadowed in one of the first books. Now it is happening. Interesting approach. Really want to find out more about Flathead Lake and Montana. Love the area and have fished there. Write fast as I read fast! Thanks!
The AIs in this series is seriously scary. Keven Craven is bringing them to life with such vividness that I worry we may find own Alexis and Series becoming so lifelike.
Fascinating story line with a sci-fi beat tossed in to add dimension. Thought provoking and well written drawing the reader into the story. Obviously this book meshes well with the rest of the Light Died books. Keep them coming!
