Beckett

This book took a hold of my heart in so many ways and wouldn't let go. Beckett...his PTSD... the dogs and cat that help him. Chaos-he reminded me so much of a kitten I had once. Jet- that dog stole my heart. I was able to picture EVERYTHING so well like a perfect movie in my head. Audra definitely ran to the right place when she went to Garnet Bend, and even though her and Beckett didn't exactly get off on the right foot, the pull was too great to be ignored. The danger, suspense, found family, friendship, and love is everything you expect in a Resting Warrior/Warrior Security book. I just don't know the way to adequately describe it other than it is definitely book hangover material! I am so curious to learn more about Lark and the rest of the guys in Warrior Security, especially Travis as I am even more intrigued by him now.

This is the second book in the Warrior Security series. I haven't read the first one and wasn't lost at all. This series is a spin off of the Resting Warrior Ranch. Beckett has been living with survivors guilt for a long time. Audra is being stalked and she has no idea why. She has been on the run for over a year. Running out of money and options she heads towards Garnet Bend. Her brother served with Beckett and told him about Beckett growing up in Garnet Bend. Beckett is leery about Audra. Then he learns that they share a connection. Somehow Audra gets under Beckett's skin even before that. Once he knows how they are connected and stops fighting what he feels for Audra there is nothing he won't do to protect her. The thing is Audra will do whatever she can to protect him and those she has begun to care about In Garnet Bend as well. What happens what two people who will do anything to protect those around them begin to care about each other? This book was a fantastic read. One of the few books where I couldn't guess the bad guy. I am loving these characters and can't wait to read about more of them. Josie is a fantastic author and I always look forward to reading her books.

Beckett is part of Warrior Security. He knows when someone is hiding something and as soon as he meets Audra he can sense it.
She is always looking over her shoulder. At the ready for danger.

Learning that home wasn’t a place you found. It was a place you built, one careful day at a time, with people who chose to stay.

This series is absolutely amazing and I can’t wait for more.

Oh, my heart! I love, love, love this book so much! Audra and Beckett are the most wonderful, broken, gentle, wonderful characters.

I love a strong, fierce, but gentle hero and Beckett is a perfect mix of kind and sensitive but will kick ass to protect those he cares about. He is such a well-written and complex character.

And Audra is also so strong, yet vulnerable. She cares so deeply while also keeping distance from all relationships. Again, these characters are so skillfully written that they are perfectly imperfect.

This story had good pacing and an excellent ending. I loved the suspense and the resolution felt real.

Overall a truly excellent book! If you love a romantic suspense with complex characters, some spice, and all the feels along the way!

Great story line , couldn't put book down until the last 1⁄3 of the book - disappointing

I thought the storyline was excellent, couldn't put the book down. Then it started dawning on me, when things started getting serious, tracking down the bad guy, characters were not typical of top security, military guys. They came across as wimps, weren't prepared to defend her. The big claim in this book was these were retired military and had a company designed to protect people. ? I had to force myself to finish reading the book. I think the author needed to do more research on how top security, military soldiers would handle this. So disappointed, was looking forward to reading all the series — but won't be after all.

Fantastic start to Resting Warrior Ranch's spin-off series, Warrior Security. This is another book that grabbed my attention and didn't let go until I finished it. The story is fast-paced and emotional, with intriguing characters told from the dual first-person viewpoints of Audra and Beckett.

Audra has been running from a stalker for more than a year. She's at the end of her rope physically and emotionally when she arrives in Garnet Bend. Her late brother told her stories of his fellow soldier's life there growing up, telling her to contact Beckett if she ever needed help. She winds up at Pawsitive Connections, where Lark puts her to work without asking too many questions.

Beckett works for Warrior Security and trains K-9s at Pawsitive Connections. His survivor's guilt and PTSD keep him from getting close to anyone he might lose. The dogs and cats he works with give him focus, purpose, and healing. Beck is suspicious of Audra when they first meet. He can tell that she's hiding something, and his protective instincts kick in.

I enjoyed watching Beck and Audra's relationship develop. It is purely a working relationship at first, as both fight the attraction that pulls them together. Things change when Beck discovers one of Audra's secrets. I loved his brusque and matter-of-fact attitude as he fixed her living situation while trying to hide his attraction. It takes Audra a while to overcome her wariness and trust Beck with the truth about her situation. Once she does, it doesn't take long for her heart to get involved. However, both Beck and Audra will have to overcome their reluctance to let anyone close to them before they can have the future each longs for. There are some gripping, emotional scenes as those walls begin to crumble.

The suspense of the story was terrific. Audra's fear was palpable on every page, as was her determination not to endanger the people she cared for. I loved it when she finally opened up to Beckett after the stalker found her again. The intensity of his protectiveness and his immediate involvement of the men of Warrior Security showed how seriously he took the threat. I was intrigued by each member of the team and how they used their various skills. The escalating danger kept me glued to the pages as the team closed in. The evilness of the stalker oozes off the page, intensifying the threat. A twist in the investigation led to a nail-biting conclusion.

I enjoyed getting to know the other members of Warrior Security better. Travis and his quirks are especially fascinating, and I look forward to his story whenever it comes. I especially liked Cooper's interactions with Beck, from his teasing to his help with Beck's PTSD episodes. Pawsitive Connections owner, Lark, also intrigues me, and I'd like to know more about her. But my favorite secondary character was Jet, the failed security dog who instantly connected with Audra. He was adorable and clearly worshipped her. I loved how everyone underestimated him.

I’m a HUGE FAN of Josie Jade and her Resting Warrior Ranch series so to see this is her new spinoff from that series makes me so happy. In true Josie Jade fashion this story has all the feelings, twists, heart and love. Audra Cartland has always been a happy, fun, beautiful woman full of life and heart, however now she’s a shell of who she’s always been. She takes her chance of going to the one place her brother always wanted to bring her in hopes that finally her nightmare can end. Beckett Sinclair is one of the members of Warrior Security which works with Resting Warrior Ranch only these men happily will take anything dangerous. That’s so the men of the Ranch can continue to help people and live their lives with their families. Beckett is a strong leader and has an outstanding military career history however he still can’t forgive a simple mistake on his last mission which ended with a loss. Beckett enjoys when Lark who runs Pawsitive Connections needs his help with the animals because animals are easier to deal with than people. In a wild turn of events Audra finds herself at Pawsitive Connections where Lark very quickly puts her to work and doesn’t ask questions. Audra isn’t sure how long she can find refuge in Garnet Bend and if she will be able to locate her brother’s military friend. Lark leaves her animal sanctuary in the capable hands of Beckett and now Audra as long as Beckett doesn’t run her off with his delightfully surly attitude. Audra just wants to work and save money to find somewhere safe to hopefully outrun her nightmare. As Beckett slowly gets to know Audra and watches her he’s pulled towards her, but no matter what she keeps her distance. That is until a freak cold front hits Montana and Beckett finally discovers one of Audra’s many secrets. Secrets that Audra is afraid will hurt anyone she meets or care for. However Audra doesn’t realize just how big of an army of people she’s about to have in her corner. Beckett has his entire team as well as Resting Warrior Ranch and the Sheriff of Garnet Bend to help anyone in need, especially the woman who has incites such fire in him. Can two people find a way to forgive themselves for things that weren’t their fault? Will Audra finally let Beckett in on all of her secrets? What will happen if Audra disappears under Beckett’s nose? This book had me in my feels for so much of this story and I loved every minute of it. The twists, humor, passion, love, family, sadness, loss and so much more in this book will have you gripping it until the end. I ABSOLUTELY CANT WAIT FOR MORE! Especially when it comes to Travis’s story I know that one will be epic considering how he had me laughing out loud with one of his technical stunts!

Audra has been running and hiding from a violent stalker for over a year. Without much cash to her name, she's been sleeping in her car and just finding ways to keep moving and stay out of her stalker's sight. Not knowing where to go, she heads to Garnet Bend, a place her brother had mentioned visiting many times to see his old military buddy Beckett. She ends up at Pawsitive Connections, a therapy and security dog training facility where she is lucky enough to land a job to help her get back on her feet. Beckett, as it would happen, is one of the dog trainers on staff. He knows something is off with Audra - she's too thin, too frightened, and appears too fragile to be the sister his old friend used to describe.

Against logic, his PTSD continues to plague him with guilt for those he lost while in the service. Dealing with his own PTSD demons, Beckett is reluctant to get close to anyone he might lose. At first suspicious of Audra and her background, as he gets to know the sweet and caring woman realizes she is actually as kind, patient and loving as she seems. He knows something is haunting her and won't allow her to be harmed while he's around.

Beck's protective instinct morph into caring, which becomes attraction, which leads to a physical relationship between Beck and Audra. He finds himself caring more for this strong and loving woman than he has allowed himself to care for anyone in a long time. Audra is equally enamored with Beck, but is unwilling to put anyone else in the crosshairs of her stalker who has already violently attacked her more than once.

When it's time to stop running, both Beck and Audra will face the danger head-on and work to free Audra from the terror she's been running from for too long.

Audra is an incredibly strong person. Despite emotional, physical and mental abuse from her stalker, she continues to fight to survive. She also hasn't lost her kindness or ability to care for others. Beck, despite his own issues, will do anything to protect her and keep her in his life. He's found his one and is willing to fight for it.

The story moves at a good pace, with enough twists and turns to keep the reader engaged in the mystery of the stalker's identity. The romance between Beck and Audra evolves naturally and is both sweet and restorative for both of them. Each has been missing that close connection with another person and these two people fit well together. I really liked them as a couple.

Four stars for this suspenseful romance.

This is former US soldier turned security specialist and K-9 trainer, Beckett Sinclair, and twenty-eight year old Audra Cartland’s story line.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Audra and Beckett) BECKETT follows in the wake of the arrival of Audra Cartland at Pawsitive Connections. Homeless, and on the run, Audra Cartland remembers her late brother told her should anything happen to contact Beckett Sinclair, a man he swears will protect her with is life but Audra is struggling to stay one step ahead of an unknown stalker, and refuses to reveal what is happening or why. Josie Jade has created another enthralling, fast-paced, riveting suspenseful romantic thriller. She also enhances the story with fascinating, courageous men from the Warrior Security Ranch group.

Beckett, like the rest of these men returned from Afghanistan with PTSD after experiencing some trauma while in service. He currently works on ops with the Warrior and Security group and trains K-9 dogs.

Beckett accidentally meets Audra Cartland who is obviously in some kind of on-going trouble. She is extremely nervous, panic-stricken, and doesn’t really talk to people. For over a year, Audra has been followed by a stalker who has been constantly harassing, intimidating and threatening her. She decides to hide in one of the unused buildings on Beckett’s ranch.

Beckett knew Audra’s brother in the military, and, at one time, had promised to protect his little sister. Thus he feels obligated to help Audra when he realizes that she is overcome with fear and can barely survive on her own..

Readers will be awestruck with this author’s unbelievably strong knowledge of technology. She not only understands it, but she is also able to creatively and skillfully apply this knowledge to the entire story. Her rescuers use it to help them look for Audra’s unknown and unseen stalker. Her stalker also brilliantly uses technology to deceive and manipulate Beckett, Audra and everyone else who is looking for him.

Along with the captivating, spellbinding suspense, and evil villain, the story also includes Beckett and Audra, who are interesting, courageous characters who still suffer PTST after affects, even while they work hard to uncover the name of her stalker. They also slowly and unexpectedly fall madly in love with each other.

Plus, I love the unusual connection between Jet and Audra. Jet is a loveable German shepherd dog who sadly fails at his training, but immediately falls in love with Audra. She also instantly feels a very strong connection and they form a very close attachment with each other.

I loved this book so much that, I never wanted it to end!

~ Attention grabbing first page that hooked me and a story that kept me on the line till the last page ~

What I liked:
* Audra Cartland: strong, survivor, being stalked as prey, tortured physically and mentally, on her own post brother’s death, looking for a safe haven but fearful to hope, attracted to Beckett
* Beckett Sinclair: ex-military, has PTSD, part of the Warrior Security team, dog trainer, has survivor’s guilt, punishing himself, rather taken with Audra
* Watching the relationship develop between Audra and Beckett
* That I can see Audra and Beckett happy together
* Lark: owner of Pawsitive Connections, compassionate, kind, good friend, gives Audra a chance
* Jet: black German Shepherd, too nice to be a guard dog, chooses Audra as his “person”
* The plot, pacing, setting, and writing
* That I cared about the characters and was rooting for a happy ending
* That it was easy to dislike and wish Karma to take care of the stalker
* That I believe Audra will thrive in Garnet Bend
* Knowing that Cooper’s story is next and hoping that Travis and a few others will have stories, too
* All of it really except…

What I didn’t like:
* The stalker: cruel, twisted, “off” in more ways than one, a scary dude
* Knowing what both main characters had experienced and were still recovering from and how difficult their lives must be
* The senseless loss of Audra’s brother’s life through an accident
* Wondering about how many people are dealing with PTSD now and having the feeling that there are not enough places like Resting Warrior Ranch for all of them

So wonderful and so heartbreaking at time as well.....really discovering more about Beckett makes him even more worth of respect...not only he works in protection with the team but he is training dogs and he is so good with animal showing a dedicated soft side. Yes animals are helping him with his PTSD but it's more than that we see him with the kitten Chaos...( i really could imagine the scene it was so well described)
He is still feeling guilty for his past but he is not rejecting the world so when Audra arrives he immediately has his senses in alert reconising sign of stress and more.

Audra is hunted...she is barely surviving on the run when she reaches , by chance, Garnet Bend...a place her brother spoke about visiting since military friends lived there....Pawnsitive seems the perfect place cash only job, secluded....and animals....but her brother's friend is there too and she tries to hide who she is to protect.....she does not plan to stay but montana win her over and especially Jet the failed security dog.....
Slowly with Jet help she opens up because like him she ned to find her place and when we learn why and what exactley happened....it's heartbreaking ( not speaking about animal hurt ( thankfully no death)

I really loved to see how the animals were really part of the team, how Jet was so loving and sometimes stupid, Chaos all violence showing off as defense...and Becket understanding Audra so well, respecting her. I loved to see the trust growing and the team loyalty. Travis sure outdid himself,Coop was as always deceptively cute..;and Lark is a determined animal lover

Lot of action, tension but also cute moving moment, i really recommend this story ( though keep some tissues near if you are sensitive like me), and also some steamy moments and a good HEA

This is technically the "second" book in the Warrior Security Series—though I put second in quotes because the first installment originally belonged to another series. It was later retitled and folded into this one, so the series truly begins with Warrior Security: Lachlan. That said, this book easily stands on its own.

The story does an excellent job of portraying PTSD and the weight of stress and grief when they’ve been carried for too long. We first meet Audra Cartland, who is on the run from a stalker. Much of her past is deliberately kept vague, which heightens the suspense. When her car runs out of gas near the small town of Garnet Bend—a place her late veteran brother once spoke fondly of—her journey takes an unexpected turn.

Here, she crosses paths with Beckett Sinclair, a veteran who served with her brother and now works as a trainer at Pawsitive Connections, where K-9s and emotional support dogs are trained. Audra quickly recognizes Beckett through her brother’s stories, though Beckett doesn’t immediately realize who she is. Once the connection clicks, they share a touching moment of grief and remembrance, grounding the romance in genuine emotion.

The book shines in its character development, especially with Jet, the German Shepherd who “chooses” Audra as his person. The bond between the characters—both human and canine—feels heartfelt and real.

I gave the book four stars, mainly because the overall “protector romance” formula felt familiar, echoing other stories in the genre. I would have loved a bit more deviation from the norm. Still, the suspense, emotional depth, and compelling characters more than made up for it.

What would you do if you were being stalked by a ghost—someone you’ve never seen, never identified, and never understood? The psychological games make you question your sanity. And for it to happen just after losing the only family you had left? That’s devastating.

Audra runs—but she doesn’t know who she’s running from. Someone leaves threats and hurts her physically, yet she never once sees her stalker’s face. Desperate for safety and answers, she flees to a small town her late brother used to talk about, hoping to find comfort with one of his old friends. She finds him, all right—but Beckett is nothing like she expected. He’s distant and unwelcoming. So Audra shuts down, focuses on her job, and keeps going because she needs the money—and some sense of stability.

Beckett, on the other hand, is battling severe PTSD. He recognizes the fear in Audra’s eyes because he lives with it himself. He comes off as an asshole at first, partly because he’s blindsided by her beauty (classic), but mostly because he doesn’t know how to deal with his own emotions. Over time, he softens, and trust slowly begins to form between them.

This is a sweet love story about two broken people who don’t realize how much they need each other. Maybe it’s a kind of matchmaking from Audra’s late brother. I especially loved how the author doesn’t portray Beckett as a flawless warrior. When danger strikes, we see his fear, his hesitation, and his vulnerability. He may be special forces, but he’s still human—capable of feeling cold, scared, and in pain.

It’s a really good read—amazing, even. A well-balanced mix of romance and suspense that keeps you emotionally invested until the end.

We are back in Montana , where Warrior Security and Pawsitive Connections are located.
Pawsitive Connections houses rescued animals. Amongst them, are dogs that have had their own traumas and are being trained to help those in need.
Beckett, former military man, and currently a member of Warrior Security, also trains k-9s . After leaving the military and experiencing PTSD, as well as the guilt of a mission gone wrong, he has isolated himself from any relationships.
Audra Cartland is a woman on the run. A stalker has been after her for the past 14 months leaving her a woman she barely recognizes. She arrives at Pawsitive Connections where Lara gives her a job without asking questions.
Beckett is suspicious of her, but also feels something is familiar about her. Imagine his surprise when he realizes her brother was under his command.
As these two get to know each other , feelings developed .But both are hesitant to trust as they have dealt with loss and horrific experiences. The walls around their hearts are high. Will they survive the danger as it intensifies?
In the end, will Beckett and Audra be free of the past in order to find a future together?
This was another well written and thought provoking story. A reminder that PTSD in the military and after a traumatic experience is very real. Also, a reminder, of the healing power dogs can have on all of us.

An absolutely heartwarming and emotional story for Beckett and Audra who will work their way into your heart as they both struggle to overcome their pasts. Beckett Sinclair, former military, a loner and suffering from PTSD, works with his team at Warrior Security and trains K9 dogs at Pawsitive Connections. Pawsitive is a rescue for all animals started by his friend, Lark Monroe. Audra Cartland is on the run, again, from her unknown stalker. She has no idea why she is being stalked, but no matter what she does or where she goes, the stalker finds her. Almost out of money and gas, she sees the sign for Pawsitive Connections and stops. Unexpectedly, she is given a job feeding and caring for the animals and paid in cash. She still has no place to stay, but she has gotten used to living in her car. She keeps to herself, but makes a friend with Jet, a service dog in training. Beckett keeps an eye on Audra as he is suspicious as to why she has stayed. Is she in trouble or is trouble trailing her? He has no idea of the struggles that she has been dealing with, but once he does, he knows that he must help her. She has worked her way into his heart without even trying. His entire team is working to find her stalker and stop them. Her stalker has no idea who he is about to meet when he arrives in Garnet Bend! This read has all of what makes a great story -- wonderfully complicated characters, suspense that Ms. Jade takes in a direction that you didn’t see coming, and the rawness of PTSD and grief that several characters suffer from. However, the best part of the story is Jet with a splash of Chaos! I love this German Shepherd who gravitates to Audra as his person and doesn’t let go! Chaos is a tiny little kitten who hates everyone but ends up adopting Jet. It takes some time for Audra’s backstory to come out, and you wonder why she is running and hiding and why the police aren’t involved. I was starting to say “here we go with another victim acting dumb” until you do hear her story (BTW, Ms. Jade does NOT write dumb victims). Ms. Jade also wrote the PTSD scenes with such rawness, but with sensitivity, that you can feel every one of Beckett’s and Audra’s emotions. You also feel for Travis and his PTSD/OCD and Ms. Jade teases his character in every story giving you additional nuggets just enough to have you screaming for his story. You also get to know the other characters from Warrior Security a bit more as well. Beckett and Audra have a military connection through her brother which begins the building for the foundation for their relationship. There are always twists and turns that Ms. Jade is known for, which makes this book difficult to put down until The End. I highly recommend it.

Beckett and Audra stole my heart right from the start. Audra, who is running from a threat and doesn’t trust anyone to spill her secrets to. She has been let down before and now many months later, she is out of options and ends up on the outskirts of Garnet Bend, a place she has heard of through her deceased brother, who talked about the place and Beckett, a man that served with him. Out of options she finds Pawsitive Connections and starts working for cash with Beckett looking after the place when the owner, Lark, goes away for a conference. The two circle each other for days, he knows she is hiding something as Audra is spooked. With the help of one of the K9’s Jet, the attraction and patience Beckett shows her, all her secrets spill out and Beckett will do whatever it takes to protect her calling in reinforcements…will it be enough.
YES!!!! I loved these two, both have their own trauma to deal with but together they are stronger, don’t judge and are there for each other through thick and thin. The emotions from both, Beckett’s PTSD and Audra’s trauma, had me teary eyed a few times. The story flowed beautifully without skipping a beat, suspense, surprise, steam and amazing characters that included the four legged kind stole my heart.

This is an amazing story of PTSD, loyal animals, and tight-knit group story. Audra has been running for 14 months. The constant stress on her finance and psyche is pushing her to the last straw. Her car runs out of gas and she is out of money outside the town her brother told her about. The owner of the animal rehab/training shelter, Lark, hires her on the spot, seeing she needs help. It gives her the break she desperately needs. Then she meets Beckett, her brother’s military buddy. He is skeptical of strangers, until he finds out about her brother and her stalker. Beckett becomes her protector and by extension his entire security team too. Beckett has his own PTSD issue. The PTSD episodes for both of them are vivid and heartbreaking. The plot is full of mystery. The stalker seems very capable of terrorizing people, especially with his digital hacking skills. Beckett is dedicated to Audra. He is right there to save her out of freezing Montana river and fight the stalker. Audra in turn saves Beckett from his own demon. They are perfect for each other. The town’s folks are warm and kind. Beckett’s friends have their back. They both got a second chance in life and get to share the future together.

Audra Cartland is a woman on the run. Running leads her to Garnett Bend and Pawsitive Connections. Audra is out of gas and out of money and Lark, the owner, gives Audra a day's work. That day turns into another, and Lark sees that Audra is a good fit with the animals and offers her work for the next couple of weeks. Lark is heading out of town but one of her trainers will be in charge of things. Beckett Sinclair is a man with personal demons. He has found his place working for Warrior Security and training service dogs back in his hometown of Garnett Bend. He doesn't trust easily, and he has concerns about Audra and what she's hiding from. Audra needs to trust someone, and Beckett needs to connect with people again. This is their opportunity to confront their fears and become stronger together if they dare. Warrior Security: Beckett is a solid romantic suspense story. It stands alone in the series; however, you will see characters from the previous Resting Warriors books. It's told from dual POV and has all the action, angst and heat that are a part of the Resting Warrior series. Can't wait for Cooper's story!

Sensational start. This book grabbed me from the beginning and didn’t let go. Audra Cartland was running and hiding from “him”, broke and desperate she landed in Garnet Bend. The place she can remember her brother mentioning before he died.
Beckett Sinclair former army, carrying the weight of mates who didn’t return from war. Helping at Pawsitive Connections, training K-9 protection dogs in between Warrior Security assignments Beckett is wary of all and positively grumpy.
Secrets, fear, suspense drive the plot while the characters real, kind, gentle and scared. I think this is my favourite Josie Jade book to date! I love this little community of veterans and their ride or die love ones who do the very best for everyone they can protect. Hard alpha protectors with sweet centres.
Staying alive and barely existing for both of these beautiful souls morphed into steadfast love and towards thriving.
Love, love, love this book. It is part of a broader series/world in Montana with a stunning backdrop and characters that are so powerful yet wholesome. This book can be read as a stand-alone novel with hea and loads of suspense.

I was not emotionally prepared for this book. Josie Jade, once again I was drawn to our MCs like moth to a flame and couldn't put it down until the bad guy was put away, and everyone got their HEA.

Beckett is the ultimate grumpy protector with a heart of gold buried under layers of trauma. He trains K-9s to which he prefers over people, keeping his PTSD in check … until Audra shows up, terrified, and keeping secrets he wants to uncover. She's on the run and keeps to herself, not wanting to draw attention to herself, afraid someone would get her because of her. But when she revels her identity to him, he promises to make sure she's taken care off.

What started off as protection, soon transforms to something neither expected but deserved more than anyone. They see each other and are both determined to make sure the bad never touches them again.
Now I have got to talk about Jet (the dog). He was a scene-stealer. Despite failing for what he was brought to the ranch, he ended up being just the right dog to save Audra.

If you love suspense romances with characters who find healing in each other, Beckett is your next read. I can't wait for the next Warrior Security book.

Another amazing story from Josie! Audra has been running from a stalker for over a year now. With no where else to turn she heads to Garnet Bend, a place her brother and her had talked about visiting together before he passed.
Her car runs out of gas just outside of Garnet Bend, she seeks help at a place called Pawsitive Connections. Lark Monroe runs Pawsitive Connections and can see Audra needs help so she offers her a job. For the next two weeks she'll be helping Beckett Sinclair tend to the animals while Lark is away. Beckett, one of her brother's old military buddies, doesn't completely trust Audra but he can also tell she's running from something or someone. As time passes Beckett becomes protective of Audra and their relationship turns romantic. Audra is finally starting to believe she can start over, but that dream is shattered when the stalker returns. The stalker doesn't realize things are different this time, Audra is no longer alone. She has Beckett, everyone from warrior security and resting warrior ranch ready to step up and protect her.

This was such a great story with a much deserved HEA. I can’t wait to see what Josie has in store for us next.

This is the kind of book that grabs you from the very first page and doesn’t let go. Josie Jade has such a way of blending suspense, heart, and just the right amount of heat that you find yourself saying, “just one more chapter”… and suddenly you notice it’s 2 a.m.

Beckett is the kind of hero you can’t help but root for. He is strong, loyal, protective, but also real and vulnerable in ways that make him feel so human. Pair that with Audra, who’s been through so much yet still has this quiet strength, and their story feels both heartbreaking and hopeful at the same time. Watching them slowly build trust while danger closes in kept me glued to the pages.

And I have to say, Jet the German shepherd completely stole my heart. The bond between him and Audra was such a beautiful surprise and added even more depth to the story.

This book has everything - suspense, danger, romance, and those “family-like” bonds that the books in Josie Jades' series always have. If you love romantic suspense that keeps you on the edge while giving you all the feels, you’ll love Beckett. I can’t wait for the next book in this series!

Beckett has severe PTSD and trains K-9 dogs at Pawsitive Connections and also works with Warrior Security to help keep it under control. He doesn't want to be with anyone serious as he is afraid of losing someone else he cares about until Audra comes into his life. She is hiding something, but what? She is jumpy and always looking over his shoulder and she looks like the scared animals he is working with. Beckett doesn't want to care, but he can't deny the pull he feels towards her, and when he finds out the truth, nothing will stop him from protecting the only woman that has captured his heart.

I am utterly obsessed with this book that I just couldn't put it down! From beginning to end this book will capture you and hold you hostage until the very end because you want to see what happens next for these two. I felt like I was part of their story the entire time and I wasn't ready for it to end. You will not be disappointed with this book and I absolutely cannot wait for the next one!

I voluntarily reviewed "BECKETT" I was completely pulled into this amazing story from the start full of emotional turmoil, intense drama, danger, fear, steam, action, you can't stop reading.
Beckett Sinclair retired from the military, lost his BF Todd in Afghanistan has PTSD issues running a spec ops with his team mates at Resting Warrior Ranching along with keeping rescue dogs where Pawsitive Connections is also with dogs that have trauma issues also, he trains K-9's as well.
Audra Cartland finds herself hiding in the equipment shed at Resting Warrior Ranch Security, Beckett finds Audra she's fearful at first he suspicious then recognises she's Todd's little sister the one he promised to protect she's a stalker.
Beckett & Audra get closer the more time they spend together but worry they haven't dealt with all traumatic loss the healing dogs are great to be around with calming effects they have.
Will Beckett find & deal with Audra's stalker & get their happy ending its a page turner to the end & an extremely enjoyable read.
