Iona, Kai, and Spark are on a rare vacation away from the hustle of mystery-solving when they head to a charming coastal town for some much-needed relaxation. Crisp sea air, lobster rolls, and zero emergencies—what could possibly go wrong?

Plenty.

When a local botanist is found dead on a hiking trail, the small-town police turn to the visiting detective for help. Iona agrees only to discover this isn’t a simple accident gone wrong. Whispers swirl about a legendary lunar flower, a greenhouse full of secrets, and a heated rivalry.

With Spark “helping” and danger rising with the tide, Iona must untangle a web of lies and magic before Celestial Bay claims its next victim.

I'm a mystery author with a soft spot for romance and humor, too. I love all things girlie with a dollop of danger, have a strong affinity for the color pink (especially in diamonds and champagne), and, not to brag, but chocolate and I are in a pretty serious relationship.

My books are fun and flirty, and feature smart and sassy sleuths. If you love books with a dash of spice and twist of whodunit, you're going to love my work!

I received an ARC copy of this book from the author and even though I didn’t have to post a review, I wanted to offer my honest, voluntary impression of it.

Iona and Kai decide to take a vacation and end up in
New England far away from the Florida Keys but their vacation is interrupted by not one but two murders and suspects whose alibis aren’t substantiated!

Wanting a break from their criminal investigations, Iona and Kai take a vacation but in an idyllic town even murder lurks when a florist is found dead on their walk to a waterfall and the sheriff is in no position to investigate so they offer their assistance.
The florist was trying to unlock the secrets and possibly more about a mysterious flowering plant but he’s now dead and the plant is missing.

With her sidekick Spark along to brighten and lighten the atmosphere as they work towards the answer, they call their team to meet them to investigate the death and uncover secrets and motives as old as the hills around them!

I have read this entire series so far and have enjoyed it! It adds a new wrinkle to solving murders when the detectives as well as the victims are paranormals! From witches to shape shifters to vampires you don’t know who you’re going to encounter next!

I wholeheartedly and enthusiastically recommend not only this book but this series as one I believe everyone who loves mysteries especially adding the paranormal element will enjoy! It’s fast paced and the plot keeps you turning the pages to find out what happens next! It will hold your interest throughout the read that’s for sure!

I think you’ll find it well worth your time and an enjoyable read as well!

Can Kai and Iona ever just enjoy a vacation?

Finally managing to get away on vacation, Kai, Iona and Spark are just enjoying being somewhere different and Spark is especially enjoying the local food. Well, up until the time they find a body on a hike that is. When the local sheriff is under the weather, of course, Kai and Iona volunteer to handle the case and get Doc, Violet and everyone’s favorite gnome involved as well. I really do enjoy these mysteries. I love the supernatural aspects to them and Spark is absolutely a character that is just so fun and endearing! I’m also very happy Kai and Iona are back together again too. The writing is spot on, the plots pull me into the various stories and keep me entertained throughout until the very satisfying ending.

I received an advanced reader’s copy and am voluntarily leaving this review.

A vacation is what Detective Iona Vale and Agent Kai Marinos need after so many hours spent solving crimes. Along with Spark they are enjoying their time away from work. If only they could spend relaxing time with no murders to solve. That would be so lovely but not meant to be. On a hike they discover the body of a man they had met the day before. The local sheriff is thrilled when Iona and Kai offer to investigate the death and soon, they begin talking to locals attempting to find who killed the man and why. I love this magical series with two investigators and Spark along to help. A town with bear shifters, witches and a magical bloom is a perfect place for Iona and Kai to solve another case. This is my honest and voluntary review of an advanced copy of this book.

Celestial Bay is a quiet coastal town, and the perfect place for a rare vacation for PADA agents Iona Skye, Kai Marino and their celestial sidekick Spark.
But, sooner than you can say “lobster roll”, the three agents find themselves smack in the
middle of a magical murder.
Add to that the mysterious Moonlit Bloom and a second murder and you have a wonderful magical cozy mystery!
This is the eighth book in the Isle of Enchantment Mystery Series and I’ve loved every one! There are wonderful characters and once you start reading you won't be able to stop.
Stephanie Damore does a great job of blending magic, mystery and murder into her stories and I highly recommend this series!
I received this book as an Advanced Reader Copy and I am pleased to leave this voluntary review.

Mystic Waves by Stephanie Damore is the 8th book in the Isle of Enchantment Mystery series.

Iona and Kai, along with Spark are on a vacation in a coastal town in New England.
I love the description of the town, so quaint and cute in Celestial Bay.

A famous florist is found dead, and Kai and Iona help the local authorities who are way out of their depth.

Such a fantastic paranormal mystery that I absolutely loved! Spark is such a scene stealer!

Looking forward to more books in this fantastic series.

Mystic Waves finds Iona, Kai and Spark on vacation. Even on vacation, this trio cannot escape murder! I love watching these three plus Violet, Doc and Knotly resolved the cases. With too many suspects, a mysterious plant, a ghost, and more, the team will need all their ingenuity to solve this twisted case. I enjoy the well written books in this series and the banter, comradery and romance among the recurring characters. Spark and her sweet tooth are always entertaining. I sat to read a few chapters and before I knew it I has reached the end. I feel at home in this supernatural world.

No luck for a vacation

Iona and Kai are supposed to be on vacation and it starts off well but ends up with them investigating a murder. So much for relaxing. There’s mysteries onto of mysteries and everyone seems to be hiding something. So Iona and Kai need to sift through it all and find the grain of truth that leads them to the culprit.
A fun fall themed read. Spark is a delight at comic relief to keep things sweet and a bit wacky. A twisty case that starts with a cool bit of warning from a ghost. Very enjoyable read!

Iona, Kai and little Spark go on vacation. They are seeing the sights and enjoying their time. First they get an ominous warning from a ghost, then they find a dead body while hiking. The small town they are in has one police officer who is ill so they volunteer to help. As they unravel clues and followup on suspects, they find something dark and menacing lurking beneath the tranquil surface of the beautiful coastal town. This was a cute story with some twists.

This is a fun series! Just enough magic to keep it interesting. Strong women in law enforcement. Great friendships. A wonderful romance. Beautiful settings. And great storylines! This 8th book takes them on a vacation that doesn’t go as planned, but they step up to help. Spark is, as always, cute as a button! This one has a lot of surprises, including the ending! A thoroughly enjoyable read!

How long can Iona, Kai and Spark vacation before they discover trouble? You’ll find out in this fun mystery. As always, I enjoy catching up with the series’s regulars and trying to work out whodunnit. Spark is always there to provide levity when needed! I enjoyed an early copy of the book and these are my personal opinions.

Whilst on a hard earned holiday, Iona, Kai and Star find themselves in the middle of a murder case. The sheriff is quite ill and happy to hand the case over to them. As always, everything is more complicated than it first appeared, but after calling the rest of their team, they eventually solve the case. It appears that they will never be able to take a holiday without a murder or two.

Dangerously Intense
A totally engaging story, I kept holding my breath. Dark magic joins the vacation with Iona, Kai and Spark. Finding a dead body was not on the list of things to do. The people are so real just like friends, the location vividly described, and the mystery evolved with dark intent. I received my copy from the author and I loved it!
