Some Secrets Will Kill
From the Author
As an author I rely on feedback from my readers to make my books better. I am asking that you leave a review of my book on Amazon. I would greatly appreciate it if you did.
Something lives in the woods surrounding the small town of Little River. A secret that has been kept for decades. A secret that is out for blood. Once this secret reveals itself, bodies and carnage are left behind. Nina and the residents of Little River will learn that some things are best not kept a secret.
This is an impressive debut that blends folklore, suspense, and creature horror. The story follows siblings tasked with caring for their uncle’s farm, only to discover something monstrous is lurking in the shadows, taking lives and unearthing dark secrets. As they try to understand the creature, they must also reckon with their personal lives. The horror elements are gripping, and the creature itself is a standout, but the pacing dragged in parts. Still, for fans of slow-burn, atmospheric horror with a strong folklore influence, this is a solid addition to the genre.
