This is an impressive debut that blends folklore, suspense, and creature horror. The story follows siblings tasked with caring for their uncle’s farm, only to discover something monstrous is lurking in the shadows, taking lives and unearthing dark secrets. As they try to understand the creature, they must also reckon with their personal lives. The horror elements are gripping, and the creature itself is a standout, but the pacing dragged in parts. Still, for fans of slow-burn, atmospheric horror with a strong folklore influence, this is a solid addition to the genre.
