Previously published as One Scoop or A spicy monster romance featuring a shy minotaur and chaotic human in an opposites-attract dating disaster, with one unexpected craving by Fire, Kira (AUTHOR).
⋯⋯⋯
She wanted no horns, no fur, and absolutely no dairy. 🚫🐮🥛
Ellie signed up for Monster Dating Agency as a joke, a late-night dare after one too many dead-end dates and an empty pint of salted caramel.
On her "ABSOLUTELY NOT" list? Excessive body hair, mooing, and definitely no farm boys.
Then she matched with Bavor “Bo” Thrix. 💘🐂
Seven feet of shy, muscular minotaur. Suspenders that somehow work. And the owner of Udder Delights, a gourmet ice cream shop where the premium milk comes straight from... him.
Three days. One shy minotaur. And a dating trial she never meant to take seriously.
Now she’s stuck with a monster • Needs to be milked twice daily (doctor’s orders) 🩺 • Blushes every time she teases him 😳 • Looks like temptation. Feels like home. 👀💓
She told herself she’d never fall for a monster. She told him this was temporary. But when he touches her... she forgets every single rule.
One scoop. One shy minotaur. One very messy craving.
Iced by the Minotaur is a standalone monster romance novel in the Monster Dating Agency series. Expect dairy disasters, blushing minotaurs, and 4-chili spice! 🌶🌶🌶🌶

Giving this two generous stars because I didn’t hate it as much as I wanted to hate it. I’ve read worse.
I’d describe this book as a carved out “romance book” mixed with a carved out “monster universe” brought together by unnecessary and inexplicable happenstance.
Writing leaves much to be desired. Last 30 pages was unnecessary.
For a story partially about how beautiful and special something is when its created with thought and care - how it becomes art when you make it with love - it is so devastatingly disappointing to see the cover is clearly AI. And not only is it AI, but seemingly exactly 0.5 seconds of thought and time have been put into it, because the cover doesn’t even slightly match the description of our minotaur Bo.
The story itself? Well, I’ve read far worse, but that probably says more about the shitty books I’ve managed to find over the years, than the quality of this one. But to be fair, although the writing isn’t great, it isn’t to the level of being anger-inducing. Mostly the story just lacks depth, and there’s a few too many annoying repetitions of the same specific phrases. Its the kinda story where the characters are supposed to be relatable, but you never feel like you get to know them - they don’t feel like a real person. They say objectively sweet things to each other, but you never get the feeling that they’re in love.
The take away? Feel free to judge this book by its cover
3.75 rounded up to 4 ⭐️ This was such a sweet & quick read. ‘Bo’ was a total cinnamon-roll and I loved every bit of it. While I didn’t love Ellie quite as much, mostly I felt like she had mentioned a little more than necessary that she has been “too much” for other men.
Iced By The Minotaur is definitely a worth while comfort read about finding exactly what you need, even when it’s the opposite of everything you thought you wanted!
Can’t wait to see what comes next from the Monster Dating Agency!
Eloise Grant writes reviews as a food critic but lately they are just not what she wants. Always criticizing never uplifting. While have drinks with her friend her friend recommends she try writing about the mythical monsters that now live among the humans by signing up to a dating app for the monsters. Next morning not knowing she signed up and it cost her 50$ that she couldn’t spare but if she backs out or leaves the date to soon it 300$ and she can’t afford that so she goes and her date turns out to be a Minotaur horns and all. Bavor Thrix makes ice cream you wouldn’t think that a job for a Minotaur but he has been using recipes from his grandmother with ingredients from both worlds he has fantastic flavors. But Ellie isn’t sure he’s what she wants so she runs away. Then figures out it was a mistake because she has fallen for him. So enjoy the read it’s a good story But could of done without the sexual description not into a animalistic sex!!
Ya know… I really hate that I loved this book. It’s giving MGMF but actual milk and not…you know… this book has more emotional depth and it’s not overly steamy which lends itself perfectly to creating such a cozy feel. I did almost throw my kindle in frustration with Ellie at one point of the book with that email to Bo, ugh. Also I went into this book completely blind but expecting it to be basically the same as MGMF, it’s not even remotely close to it. Surprisingly this book is probably about 10x more tame than MGMF, but still a wild read.
i never know what to say in a headline. Really quick spicy read. It may just be me, but…… reading from my ipad i really wanted really wanted to click that email address in the chapters (it was highlighted blue. just saying) to fill out my own info for a potential monster. Loved the las chapter that showed the next character being set up by his sister, can’t wait for that. Loved Ellie and Bo. They share laughs, shyness and spice. Highly recommend it.
You May Not Get What You Asked For, But You'll Get What You Need
When she signed up she specifically did not want no horns, no hooves, no rural dialect and no dairy. She got a Minotaur!!!! She stayed for the mandatory 2hour date only to find him a gentleman and a gentle giant. I liked that she had to spend more time with him because of a freelance job. Because of the time spent together, they got closer. Once she got over her "cold feet" they got their HEA.. Such a sweet love story.
Ellie is a freelance food critic writer who has terrible relationships and is running out of steam for critiquing food. Her friend suggests a dating agency....for monsters. She sells the idea by suggesting an article about a human and a monster dating. Ellie reluctantly agrees and is secretly curious. What she experiences is certainly unexpected and she wants to walk out.
Well I loved this book. Bo, the shy ice cream artisan Minotaur is matched with a food critic who asked for the complete opposite of Bo. No spoilers but I guarantee you will be cheering for these two intrepid lovebirds. This is a story you will reread again and again.
A Sweet Double Scoop of a book! Bo made it such a lovable read with his gentle heart and has me applying to be the next applicant for Monster Dating Agency. Just enough steam to compete with the mug you should have cuddle by your side when reading Iced by the Minotaur. No toppings necessary on this one!
This was a fun unexpected story I came across. Definitely an opposites attract storyline. I couldn’t put it down once I started. Has humor, emotion, vulnerability and heated chemistry all rolled into a book you can’t miss. I’ll definitely be reading more of this authors books. Enjoy!
It's an easy quickness that has a quirkiness I didn't expect to find or enjoy as much as I did. I'm truly looking forward to more books about the monster dating app matches!
Great story. I loved the premise. Dating agency that gives not what I think I want... but what I need. I'd do it. 😂😂 the characters are good and lovable. Except now I want these ice cream flavors
Absolutely shocking to learn that Minotaurs need to be milked and that this specific one’s grandma would tell him his milk was the sweetest… wtf. But honestly 3 stars it was decently cute lol
