Deeper Still

Have you ever felt toppled and mangled by the storms of life? Most of us have. Storms will come, but there is a solution to keep from being overcome. It is to develop roots that grow deep into the soil of God’s Word that stabilize us, our homes and families even in the midst of shaking. Deep roots and shallow roots look the same—until the storm hits. Shallow roots lack the strength to withstand storms. They create a vulnerability to adversity so that when storms hit the weak often crumble in their faith. Deep roots strengthen us to weather life’s storms. These are established as we pursue a mature relationship with God, daily prayer and communication with Him.
