Faith Dumont is a witty, confident, fiery fitness competitor, or so she appears to everyone else. Yet no one knows the horrors that she's endured and escaped to create this seemingly perfect life. No one knows the battle of self-loathing and deviant urges Faith battles daily.
She keeps her demons under control by her regimented, disciplined lifestyle. Faith has also implemented “rules” into her life, specifically a “no dating” rule. This rule was made to protect her heart. Life in the gym keeps her sane, to an extent, however, just because there is no dating does not mean there is not a bit of kink.
Slade is smoking hot physique competitor who works with Faith in the gym. Not only is Slade a co-worker, he is Faith's only friend, and a kin of the kink. He has always willingly followed Faith’s conditions... that is until tattooed trainer Ty enters their lives throwing all that Faith has created into a tailspin. When Slade sees Faith falling for Ty's seduction, he decides to refuse Faith's rules and introduce her to his.
With her normalcy crumbling around her, Faith is slammed by the carnal and emotional enticement of both men. Can they make their triad of passion work or will Faith’s past come back to decimate any spark of hope for love that she ever had?
Warning: This book is fictional and depicts acts of violence, graphic sex, including BDSM, M/F/M menage circumstances, and oodles of kink. This book is recommended for mature audiences (21 and over) who are not offended by scenarios such as these.

+++ 4.5 SCORCHING STARS!!! +++

A gripping and thrilling story that will have you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. Jennifer Lassalle Edwards, knew how to capture my attention with her words.

Faith Dumont is in an abusive relationship and she feels trapped to the point that she doesn't want to live anymore. Even after her failed attempt at ending her life, Faith finally decides enough is enough and she escapes. Fast forward some years and Faith is now a new woman. Like a phoenix, she rose from the ashes and transformed. Reinventing herself, she became stronger, but she also closed herself off to feeling emotions, having attachments, and overall relationships.

Faith works at a fitness gym and is a bikini competitor, disciplining her body religiously. Her only friend is Slade, who also works at the gym. They've had this no strings, sex with benefits relationship for the past 2 years.

Gym worker by day, sex fiend by night. Faith and Slade’s relationship has crossed the dark world of BDSM where rules aren't broken, allowing her to play dangerously.

Everything is as it should be until Tyler walks in. He's gorgeous, sexy as hell even with glasses on. Sparks fly instantly when he captures Faith's attention. Tyler is persistent in trying to win Faith and with one simple kiss the rules of the game instantly change.

When Slade finds out about the kiss, he demands more from Faith. He no longer wants to follow the rules. He wants to be with her in every way possible thus causing the story to take a different turn.

It becomes a frenzy of hot sex and two men claiming this woman for their own. Can these two men work together to break down the walls Faith has built around her heart?

This book will have your panties melting and send you constantly to take cold showers. There’s ménage, BDSM, and lots of hot kinkiness involved. So, if you can’t handle it, goodbye Felicia. Jennifer, kudos lady, for you had me fanning myself all the way through lol ;)

Let me start this review by saying I'm pretty sure that this is the first time I have ever given a debut novel a five star rating. This book gets just that!! FIVE solid, hot and steamy stars!!! The hot and steamy isn't the reason for my rating, the fact that this novel got under my skin, is.

Jennifer Lasselle Edwards has done an impeccable job writing a story that grabs you from page one. The characters are so well laid out and every level of their complexities explored. She does an amazing job showing us who they are beyond the facades of their lives. Jen's writing style is refreshing in a world where "everybody" is writing a book and not everybody should. She can write and she writes well. This woman is a word guru that had me cracking up and literally saying out loud "Uhm... no she DIDN'T!!!" And yes, YES she did!!! Her personality and sense of humor shine through the words on the pages and I couldn't get enough. I may have even snorted (I'll never admit it!!!).

This isn't your typical read, for many reasons. Faith Dumont has been dealt the devils hand, in more ways than one. Her story isn't an easy one, yet it's one we are all familiar with. Weak, she is anything but. Faith is strong and witty and has a dual set of gumption's the size of Texas. << What exactly does that mean? Even I'm not sure, but it went through my head multiple times (so we'll just go with it). Slade and Ty? Ahhhhh... what can be said about those two? Two amazingly hot men, with hearts of gold. Yes, you read that correctly. Two amazingly hot men, with hearts, and brains, and emotions, and they care about her. They genuinely care for her. They want her to "just be." They want her to just be, her. It just doesn't get much better. The dynamic between the three will leave you questioning what society deems is normal. The love and understanding Mrs. Edwards so beautifully writes about? We should all be so lucky.

I am in awe of this Author. This is her first book and you can now sign me up for everything she writes. That is how much I loved it. This is a must read for everyone, whether this is your genre or not. It's a beautiful love story and an epic depiction of finding ones self on the journey of life. Who knows what we will learn about ourselves on our individual paths and where exactly, we will end up.

I for one have always loved a good two for, and now I'm thinking I may just want two (Slade and Ty) for, ME. Please and thank you. (Hey Jen… could you write them into my reality?)

I am a forever fan. This is a MUST READ.

This is an amazing debut novel by Jennifer Lassalle Edwards, it pulled me in from the very first page and held my attention until the very end.

The book begins with Faith who is trapped in an abusive marriage ...and I mean so trapped that she feels death is her only escape. She ends up escaping and recreating herself into this strong woman who hides her insecurities and fears behind her discipline in other areas of her life. I love her sense of humor, the names she has for the anatomy had me laughing out loud a few times. I loved that there is so much about her personality that made her real and able to relate to.

Slade is a solid mass of sex on two legs but he is also sweet and attentive when it comes to Faith. He is able to anticipate her needs, sexually or emotionally, before she does. I loved him immediately and was rooting for their relationship to blossom the whole time.

Ty..oh my nerdy sex on legs! He just had to come in there with his little grin & glasses and make Faith a crazy bundle of ovaries! The dynamic between them was a bit different than what she had with Slade. It seemed lighter and she seemed less scared. I think she just got different things she needed from both of them but it made it a whole bunch of pages of hotness!

Overall, I think the book was well written, the story was unique, the characters were likable and well developed .

Menage Romance
h on run from abusive ex plot.
But still the book was very well done, the h's voice was unique,very non-Mary Sue. I admired her for being true to herself and staying positive and taking care of herself after everything she's been through. Both the H's were great and patient with her and treated her like a princess - or someone to be dominated when the h needed it.
Great atmosphere and not too predictable plot twists as well.
On the whole a 4 star read!

This was a fantastic debut novel by Jennifer. I was sucked into the book from the first couple of pages and could not wait to see how things would play out. Faith came from an abusive relationship which we find out about within the first few pages and it truly made me sick the things her husband did to her. It then skips to 6 years later and Faith is no longer the door mat she once was and I wanted to find out what happened with her ex and how she escaped. We get bits and pieces throughout the book of the ways Faith has changed over the last several years. On the outside she seems like a nice normal girl but on the inside she is still completely damaged and needs a little fix to get back in order. That is where Slade comes in… OH MY SLADE!!! I swooned from the first time I met Slade and could not get enough of him. At first I thought it was just a mutual agreement between two friends and didn’t have a clue that Slade had more feelings for Faith until Ty came into the picture. I also fell head over heels for Ty too. I was so confused as to which guy I liked better. I was going back and forth between Slade and Ty so many times in my brain until I decided I loved them both. I was rooting for Faith to be with both guys because I could not pick which one I wanted her to end up with. Just when Faith and the guys finally get into somewhat of an arrangement bam all hell breaks loose and her ex comes back. This book was full of intense situations that had me sitting on the edge of my seat and I could not put my kindle down because I was so sucked into the story. I highly recommend this book and I cannot wait to see more from Jennifer.

When I purchase a book, I love to escape out of my current reality and slip into theirs There are way too many good books out there to read a bad one.

This is one of the good ones!

I dislike writing reviews. I am not a writer for good reason. My review consists of "I really like this book a lot, and I think you should purchase it and read it based solely on my opinion alone." This book deserves a better review than that. So I will give it a shot.

I fell in love with Faith right away. Her strength explodes off the pages and you just can't help but root for her. Jen does an amazing job of highlighting that and yet giving you just a hint of her vulnerability as well. I cheered her on, I screamed at her for pushing them away and I sighed when she started letting them in (in more ways than one -wink-).

Slade and Ty. Well. Let me just say, pure raw sex on two legs. (read the book you will see what I mean) I applaud Slade for never wavering on his love for her. Ty comes in and that's when things get really interesting. Looks like everything is going great.

Of course it's not always that simple. Her life is turned upside down.

Will she make it through? Will they be there for her in the way that she needs them to be?

Check it out for yourself and see. You won't regret it.

Bravo to Jen for a great debut novel! Great story line. Great character development. I enjoyed every page- some more than others LOL! Congrats Jen on your first release! My hope is that you keep writing. I can't wait to read what you have in store for us in the future!

Sweet N Sassy Book A Holics Rating: 4.5

~~~~~~~~~~Dee's ★★★★★ Review~~~~~~~~~~
Slade was with Faith two years abiding by her rules of relationship, letting her call all the shots. But when he sees the new, sexy trainer, Ty, break her rule of no kissing, he changes and sets her down with his rules, not hers. Surprisingly, she likes it. So begins the story of the healing of Faith. Through the love of both these men, Faith finds her soul again, as well as love, peace and happiness.
Ms. Edwards has done an excellent job of depicting the horrors of domestic violence and the kinkiness of three way love. The reader is engaged from the beginning, the development of Faith's character was believable and the climax of the story was suspenseful. Very interesting story and well worth the investment of time and money. I was given this book in exchange for an honest review and I gladly give it Five Stars!
A smutty Read
From the first chapter, I was caught un the horror that was Faith Dumont's life. Damaged from an abusive marriage she goes from one extreme - downtrodden, beaten and suicidal - to the other - Sex fiend into some very dark and dangerous play!
Years spent on the run and re-inventing herself, she has closed herself off from forming any personal attachments, it's safer for her that way - no chance of being hurt. The closest thing she has to a friend is Slade, her Kin in Kink and playmate for the past 2 years - but she even has very firm rules as far as this goes as well. The in walks Ty, the new and sexy trainer and sends her reeling in his persistent pursuit.
One would expect there to be an explosion of testosterone as both men claim her for their own, but working together, both of them break down the walls Faith has spent years building around her heart.
This book contains plenty of steamy sex scenes, some pretty colourful and smutty descriptive language and a hot hot hot menage scene that I really enjoyed.
Only a few editing errors were noted. (pommel I/o pummel and I have only been four men)
~~~Doris's ★★★★★ Review~~~

Hot, hot, hot! Steamy and sexy a must read for the readers of menage situations, BDSM, and sexy exploits.
Fae is in an abusive marriage. When she finally is able to escape that torturous relationship, she gets a job at a physical fitness club. Finding herself, and working on gaining back her self-esteem, she puts herself through a rigorous weight training workout As she develops in her training regime she goes forward with competitive shows. The owner of the gym, Slade, and Fae develop a "relationship" that is purely based on sex. Enters into the picture a new employee, Ty. Ty is a former friend of Slade. They had been roomies in college. Much to Fae's chagrin, Ty is interested in her. She tells him that she is not interested. He isn't satisfied with a "no" response and continues to pursue her. Thus develops the idea of a menage relationship. Jennifer Lassale Edwards is a genius at character development. The characters in this book are relatable and could be someone you could meet at your local gym. The book was enjoyable and entertaining. I was given this book in return of an honest review. I give this novel 5 stars!

~~~~Sara's ★★★★★ Review~~~
I was given an ARC for my honest opinion.
I need a cold shower after reading this book. OMG Jennifer and this is your first book? I would never have guessed. This book goes from Faith being on the run from an abusive relationship to her being in a friends with benefits relationship with Slade. Then here comes Ty who used to be college roommates with Slade and he wants Faith as well. She tells him no over and over, yet he doesn't want to accept So what does he do he decides to suggest an ménage. This book is hot an needs to be read. Don't overlook Jennifer Lassalle Edwards, she has a promising future ahead of her if this book is just the beginning.
I was given an arc of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Faith is a strong, sarcastic woman who keeps her skeletons hidden away with the help of her self imposed routine. She lives in the gym to work on her body and she has her friend Slade to work on her mind (ok, maybe he helps in the body part as well). She also has strict rules that she follows to protect her heart. In a previous life, she endured pain and suffering at the hands of someone she, at one time, trusted. The walls she has up are meant to protect what little confidence she has left... until.... she meets Ty.
I think Faith is a little like a lot of us. Afraid to open her heart after being hurt so she covers up her feelings with sarcastic comebacks and indifference. In reality, she feels too much. Every little thing. Slade helps control her vices by giving into her dark side, as much as he can. Then Ty happens. You think you're ready for this love triangle, but you aren't. What happens with you throw two men who have a mind for kink with Faith? Hotness explosion. Faith needs to learn to toss her precious rules out the window, but not before her past comes back to haunt her....
I am a big fan of endings being true to the story. JLE could have went a completely different direction, but I'm so happy she ended things the way she did. The ending fit perfectly with Faith.
I think JLE did a great job with her first novel. I can't wait to see what else this author has in store for the future.
I received this book as a gift in exchange for an honest review.
Ripped & Twisted by Jennifer Lassalle Edwards is an enjoyable read, that is well-written and will keep you turning the pages to see what's going to happen next. The characters have real emotions that you can relate to. Faith finally gets the strength to leave her abusive marriage and starts over on her own. She has a lot of pent up anger in her (which is understandable) and works it out in the gym. She has an intense routine and that she keeps up. To the outside world, they see this pretty woman who always makes people laugh, but inside, she's at war with herself. I think Faith is someone that people can relate to, because she's hiding behind this image and is afraid to let someone else in. She was hurt before...badly, so it's only natural that she would have some fear.
Slade gives Faith what she needs. Slade is this gorgeous man, who women throw themselves at. Since Faith doesn't do love anymore Slade gives her the sex she needs. The sex is seriously hot and definitely not "vanilla".
Ty enters the picture and spices things up a bit. Ty and Slade are a hell of a duo and Faith is one lucky woman. Soon, Faith throws all her precious rules out the window and new rules are made. Will Faith be able to let down her defenses and let herself be happy or will her past come back to haunt her. This book will keep you on your toes. Once you start reading, you won't be able to stop. I loved this book and can't wait to see what's next for this author. Reviewed by Jennifer for MNP
The book starts off with the lead character Faith in an abusive marriage which she manages to escape, after moving around for a bit, changing her appearance and name she settles down in a town where she works the front counter of a gym, this is how she met Slade who is an instructor at the gym and also her best friend, well more like a friend with benefits and kinky ones at that! Things were going great for her she was happy having no stings attached sex, good job and getting ready to enter a bodybuilding competion. Then the new instructor starts working at the gym and his name is TY who has his eye on Faith also and eventually that's not the only thing haha. Things start to get really HOT from here on in and you won't want to stop reading! I don't want to give to much away but i will say i LOVED this book, the words she used for nicknames and special parts of the body actually made me laugh out loud quite a few times, it is really well written and the story does pull you in so you can imagine everything that's happening, so if your considering on buying this book then do it as it's worth it. Well done Jen on your first book and i can't wait for the next as i certainly will be buying it! P.s Where can i get a Slade and Ty for myself? haha
Faith has escaped from an abusive relationship that almost killed her. Taking control of her life, she moves every few months to make sure her ex can’t track her down. But this time, she has found friends, a job and a friend with benefits and is reluctant to hit the road. Having control of her life is paramount to her feeling safe. She trains to be a body builder, making her body toned and strong to never feel weak again. Her friend with benefits, Slade, has become a close friend. They work together as personal trainers and keep their relationship completely hidden from co-workers and clients at the gym. When a new trainer, Ty, starts working at the gym, Faith feels drawn to him. Their flirting escalates and Faith realizes she wants both Slade and Ty. Still not revealing her demons from the past, she is reluctant to let these gorgeous men into her life. When one evening presents her with a future she never dreamed of, does she take the chance and stay put or leave town now that her past is quickly closing in on her?
A very hot story with a M/F/M story line. Great characters and an interesting plot, 3.5 stars.
Wow! What an amazing story! Ripped and twisted describes this story perfectly. I was very anxious to read this one not only because the main character was a fitness competitor but it's also my favorite genre and this one was HOT!!! DAYUMMMM I would love to sandwich with Slade and Ty. I have to admit I wasn't expecting the twist of events to happen when it did but that's what made the story so enticing! Loved it.
"Then trust me now. Haven't I earned that much? I have watched you struggle and do nothing but deteriorate. You worry me. Whether you like it or not, I care about you, Faith. So, trust me. I want you to just be. I want you to free your head, unload this weight that you're lugging around and torturing yourself with constantly. Let me take the control. Give yourself over to me, Faith. When we're together, just focus on me, nothing else."
JenniferLassalle Edwards is a new author to me, I won this book from a Facebook group giveaway. I say this because otherwise, I might never have found this book. I enjoyed this well written story of the very broken Faith and her two heroes. The picture the words painted in my mind's eye of Slade and Ty was so hot, but their care and feelings for Faith are what I liked best. This is a "dark" book but it is also full and wit and lots of emotion and feelings.
Okay, I will try and contain my rambles. Yes, I said try. No promises!
Never in a million years would I have guessed this was Jen Lassalle Edwards first novel. The vivid detail she writes with pulls you into her story. You cannot help but feel you are part of her story. The wit and humor she feels her story with is some of the best I have ever read. The flow of this story is so effortless as you get lost in the world of Faith Dumont.
This book sucked me and the very first line and did not let me go until the very last line. It was impossible to set this book down. It is rare for me to be completely consumed by a book so bad that when it ended I kinda wanted to cry. I needed more. I became so attached to Faith, Ty, and Slade I was devastated it was over.
The emotions that I felt for the lead character Faith “Fae” Dumont was strong. This woman had been through absolute hell. She survived it and each and every day she had to watch her back and pray it never caught up to her again. Reading her hell had my heart breaking for her.
Then we get to bounce forward to Fae’s new life she had created. She wouldn’t call herself happy or let herself feel happy. She was just trying to feel each moment that she could. We get to see her in her element with Slade. And let me tell you! Holy mother of hotness! This man had me licking my lips. The way Jen describes him had me drooling like a fool. Then to see him in action. {fans myself} This man will take anything that Fae will give him.
I loved watching how Slade knew Fae better than herself. He knew how to read her. What she need, when she needed it. He wanted more and the moment he thought he could get away with taking more from her he did.
Slade was the man everyone wanted. The only issue is he only wanted one woman who would not completely let him in. The first time he tells her he loves her was great. She was tied up and blindfolded and had to process what he said. I gave him a mental fist bump for that. He would do anything for his girl.
“Baby, just remember to trust me. Remember to relax. Focus on me.” It is Slade’s calming whisper sealed with a light kiss on my temple. “And baby, one more thing,” his hand goes over my mouth delicately, and barely audible whispers, “I love you.”
Louder, Slade commands, “No words, Faith.” I nod into his hand.
This is where my heart soared for Slade and Faith. He gave her the one thing he wasn’t sure he could handle but knew she wanted. He let Tyler join them. Let me just tell you that scene is past the point of smoking hot.
Because Jen giving us one man to drive Fae and her readers crazy wasn’t enough. She gives us Tyler “Ty” Villere. Tyler is built like no other, tattooed, and wears glasses. Can I just say Jen had me at glasses. I was just like Fae. Speechless!
Tyler enters the picture and they become a trio. A very hot and very open trio. Tyler and Slade would not let anyone upset fae. I loved watching the boys pamper and show Fae that she is their world and they did not care what anyone else thought.
Slade and Ty are both two very dominate men who fell in love with Fae. They loved everything about her and taught her to let them in. That she was not crazy or alone in this world. That they are right their with her.
Fae needed discipline to get out of her head and not let her thoughts eat at her. Slade and Ty both recognized this and did anything they could to help Fae out of her head and get away from her demons. I absolutely loved watching the trio become a strong front. The love they all became one strong unit.
I will not lie I was fanning myself and squirming a few times as a read. Holy hotness. Jen has a way with words and letting you visualize the scene.
After escaping from an abusive marriage, Faith Dumont has decided to live her life her way. Drastically changing her looks and her attitude she is ready to start fresh. Unfortunately Faith battles with her self-loathing and unique and kinky sexual tastes. Determined to stay in control of her life, she follows a very strict and healthy regimen as well a one rule. No dating. No dating means no broken heart. Working at the gym is perfect for her.
Slade has become Faith’s best friend. He is one of her only friends. Their friendship is and their arrangement works for them. They both get sexually satisfied with no strings attached. That is until the new employee Ty enters the picture.
Faith is attracted to both men and both men want her just the same. Faiths rules slowly begin to crumble and feelings for all three surface and passion slowly starts to take over.
I was immediately sucked into this story. Faith was not in an ideal marriage and she did her best to survive but unfortunately the damage was already done. How can you believe in love when what you thought was love nearly killed you?
Faith does everything to protect not only her body but her heart. Slade and Ty become her life, her best friends and people she trusts, although, she has a hard time letting them know about her past but when she does, she finally gets that they would never do anything to hurt her. Their relationship is different but it works for them.
Just when she finds her happiness, it is quickly taken away from her.
Faith is a fantastic character. She is beautiful, strong and so vulnerable. She is in love with two different men and doesn’t really know how to handle that.
Slade is the best friend/lover any girl would be lucky to have but he is more than that. He takes control in the gentlest way. His love for Faith is never ending, so much so that he does the kink she believes she needs and deserves.
Ty is a dream, he like Slade, is determined to have a place in Faith’s life. She has quickly wormed her way into his heart without even trying. He is not only gorgeous but knows how to handle Faith’s needs.
I loved the dynamic of their relationship, double the pleasure, double the fun. Please be aware that there are a few scenes with violence and graphic sex but the author wrote it well.
The M/F/M scenes were HOT HOT HOT! The sex scenes in general will have you sweating! *fansselfoff*
This book had my emotions all over the place. I felt the fear, the relief, the angst, the attraction and most of all the happiness and love.
A well written story with some fantastic characters.
~~~Zarah's ★★★ Review~~~

I received this title courtesy of Sweet and Sassy Book-Aholics for an honest review

A smutty Read

From the first chapter, I was caught un the horror that was Faith Dumont's life. Damaged from an abusive marriage she goes from one extreme - downtrodden, beaten and suicidal - to the other - Sex fiend into some very dark and dangerous play!

Years spent on the run and re-inventing herself, she has closed herself off from forming any personal attachments, it's safer for her that way - no chance of being hurt. The closest thing she has to a friend is Slade, her Kin in Kink and playmate for the past 2 years - but she even has very firm rules as far as this goes as well. The in walks Ty, the new and sexy trainer and sends her reeling in his persistent pursuit.

One would expect there to be an explosion of testosterone as both men claim her for their own, but working together, both of them break down the walls Faith has spent years building around her heart.

This book contains plenty of steamy sex scenes, some pretty colourful and smutty descriptive language and a hot hot hot menage scene that I really enjoyed.

Only a few editing errors were noted. (pommel I/o pummel and I have only been four men)

~~~Doris's ★★★★★ Review~~~
Hot, hot, hot! Steamy and sexy a must read for the readers of menage situations, BDSM, and sexy exploits.
Fae is in an abusive marriage. When she finally is able to escape that torturous relationship, she gets a job at a physical fitness club. Finding herself, and working on gaining back her self-esteem, she puts herself through a rigorous weight training workout As she develops in her training regime she goes forward with competitive shows. The owner of the gym, Slade, and Fae develop a "relationship" that is purely based on sex. Enters into the picture a new employee, Ty. Try is a former friend of Slade. They had been roomies in college. Much to Fae's chagrin, Ty is interested in her. She tells him that she is not interested. He isn't satisfied with a "no" response and continues to pursue her. Thus develops the idea of a menage relationship. Jennifer Lassale Edwards is a genius at character development. The characters in this book are relatable and could be someone you could meet at your local gym. The book was enjoyable and entertaining. I was given this book in return of an honest review. I give this novel 5 stars!
Chapter 3 is when I fell in love with Faith Dumont, the main character in Ripped and Twisted. She was living in an unspeakably horrific mental and physically abusive relationship. Jennifer Lassalle Edwards writes it with clarity. The backdrop in place, and you as the reader, empathize with Faith. In real life I need time to truly know a person, and that holds true with characters in a novel. However, with relatively few written words, I felt a genuine fondness for this character. I wanted to be her friend, mother her, lift her up, wrap her in my arms and comfort her.
By chapter 3 I knew I couldn’t leave Faith unaccompanied. Remain beside her and continue to read. I had to see where her life would take her. She escapes her abusive relationship. That was a good start. This is where you learn about Faith. A fitness competitor working at a gym affords her the mental state she craves. Fury fills her. But to the outside world she is the woman everyone wants to be with. “I feel that my skin is so tight and that the blackness expanding inside of me is going to rip me to shreds.” What a powerful statement. Her tormented soul is beautifully captured in that line.
We can all relate to her at some level. Feeling hollow inside, but putting on a brave face for your family and friends, and Faith, with all of her demons, does it flawlessly. Page after page, my emotional attachment grew for her. Hoping and willing the best for her.
Working at the gym is her savior and that is where she meets her male friends: first Slade and then Ty. She is treated to an actual date with Ty. Read it ladies, you’ll love it. I was so delighted for Faith, I wanted to crawl into the book and buy her a new dress with matching shoes for her evening out!
Faith has a decadent sexual appetite. Yes, the author laces this book with wonderfully erotic filthy dirty sex. Let your mind wander and be pleased for Faith. I was.
While reading the final chapters of this book last night I purposely didn’t finish. I wanted to wake up this morning with that delicious thought of finishing the last chapter. I did just that. By the way, Ms. Lassalle Edwards...I’d love to read more about Faith, her name suits her.
5 Stars!
This was a really amazing book. I like to call this book a diamond in the rough. You may dismiss or even pass because it is not well known but let me tell you, this book was amazingly good and hella hot! This book took ménage on a different role where it was strictly M/F/M so it was a very interesting dynamic. It also had a couple of twists that grab hold of you. This book was a quick read that was full of sexiness and packed a punch.
This is Faith, Slade & Ty's story. Faith escaped an abusive marriage and ran far, far away. She lives by new rules. Never stay too long. Don't get personal. Don't get attached. And definitely don't form relationships. Unfortunately for her, two very different men are testing all of those rules. Enter Slade who she works with. He is her Dom in a manner. She loves pain. He loves to inflict. They have been in a non-exclusive relationship. Enter Ty. New to the scene. Sparks fly immediately when Faith meets him. Torn between two men who don't know her past and the urge to run, what will she do? When her secrets are revealed and her past comes back, will she be able to lean on Ty and Slade? Told from three POVs, get ready for one sexy and suspenseful ride.
I loved Slade and Ty. Yes I loved them both equally. They were so different yet totally similar in many ways. I loved their dominating personalities. And wow, Slade... boy did he have some serious sexiness to him. I loved his bossy attitude and how he took charge. I also loved how protective he was over Faith. And when he decided he wanted her, he gave it all. And Ty.... I really liked him too. He was a softer side but still dominant. And the three of them individually and together, OFF THE CHARTS!
I highly recommend this book!
This book by debut author Jen Lassalle Edwards did one thing; it “blew me away”. Within the first five pages I had gone from angst, to sadness and then fear. I was left spinning and when the dust settled all I could say was no way! Initially I thought CC /Faith was weak and I wanted to feel sorry for her, save her from this depraved man. Then I got to know the real Faith. She is strong, confident and most of all capable of closing off her “true self” to anyone and everyone even Slade the man she is sharing the most intimate parts of her life and her depravity with.
Faith is a vivid, in living color “don’t eff with me” chick that I found brash but honest and I loved how quickly she was brought to life. Faith is a real woman to me with real issues. She does not sugar coat what she is and is proud of the life she has made for herself.
Now Slade and Ty, WOW these two brought to life different sides of Faith that were needed in order for her to be whole. And the sex, WOW, make sure you have a fan nearby because there were several times when JLE turned up the heat and didn’t let up.
Overall this book brings so much to the reader and it stays with you. I found myself for weeks afterwards thinking back on parts of the book and remarking at how masterfully the story was linked together. Faith overcomes hard time and adversity and like with any great story she falls down and picks herself back up again. But she does so with a little help from two unlikely ‘loves’. Congrats to author Jen Lassalle Edwards for writing a book about life and the effects of your decision; but most importantly finding the strength in yourself and those around you to accept who you are, what makes you happy and finding the peace to move forward. Bravo!
Review from Rising Indies United.
This is a great read. I really enjoyed it. And I love Faith, Slade, and Ty.
Faith hasn't had a great life. After marrying her high school sweetheart, he changed. He became a controlling, abusive, cheater. Faith knew he would end up killing her at some point. It took awhile, but she got out and ran.
"I guess you should know that I did get out. There was no knight in shining armor to her, no prince charming, just little old me. This b**** was her own hero, sort of..."
After 6 years of being on the run, she has remained in the same place for the past few years. For the most part, she stays to herself. She has a job that she really likes. But she does have needs and that's where the club and Slade come into play. He knows just what she needs and has been "taking care" of her for the past 2 years. They aren't in a relationship. It's more of a friends with benefits arraignment. No feelings involved, at least until Ty enters the picture also. Then everything changes.
I really love Faith. Even though she is hard on herself, she is a strong woman, she just needs to realize she si. She has a sarcastic mouth which is awesome.
When I heard that Jen Lassalle Edwards was releasing her debut novel I was intrigued and after seeing her teasers on Facebook I just had to read it!!! I loved this book from the first page!!!
Lady luck was never Faith's friend, she suffered through an abusive marriage, which in-turn caused her to become estranged from her parents and never have a place that she could settle long enough to call home for fear of her husband finding her.
While working in a gym as a counter assistant she strikes up a friends with benefits relationship with gym trainer Slade, things start to look up for her,Slade knows nothing of her past but helps her to control her demons. Then enters the new trainer Ty. OMG, he is this gorgeous man with all his tattoos!!! Both Slade and Ty are seriously gorgeous and ripped, then all the fun and games begin, you will have to read this book to find out more because my lips are sealed!!
I loved this book it was easy and enjoyable to read, it kept me forever wanting to know what was going to happen next and I would definitely want to read more about these characters. Jen this is a fantastic debut novel and I can not wait to read more of your work, thank you x
First thing, I do not read other people's reviews or book blurbs before reading books for review. I had no idea what this book was about when I started to read. So on with the review....
I felt for Faith's strength and determination in this book. When the book began, I was disturbed by the DV and questioned whether I wanted to continue reading. But it was brief and served only as background history in the evolution of Faith.
Fast forward a couple years later, Faith is strong but in body and spirit and doesn't do relationships. She scratches her itch with Slade and sessions at the club. But her pushes her limits and opens up a whole new dynamic in their relationship as Faith struggles to set her mind free of worries and stress. Add Ty to the mix and her firm "no relationship" rule is put to the test. How will she choose? Will she allow herself to open up enough to anyone and go beyond the sexual? Old skeletons rattle the closet and burst open as Faith's past catches up to her...but Ty and Slade won't let her crawl back into herself.
Sometimes you have to let go to be free....
