Finding Wellness: Essential and Expert Articles for Healing Your Mind, Body, and Spirit by Randall Hansen focuses on general wellness. The author shows how dependent we are on quick fixes. Doing a deep dive on physical, mental, and spiritual health, the author focuses on natural solutions. Checking our foods, meditating, and exercising enable us to grow as humans; this is mostly when we deviate from the norms. This book pushes readers positively to make a commitment for a better livelihood.

A heartfelt and empowering guide to true healing — beyond quick fixes and pills. Dr. Randall Hansen invites us to rediscover balance through self-awareness, nutrition, nature, and love. A beautiful reminder that wellness begins within.

This book isn’t just about fixing your diet or improving your sleep. It’s about healing your whole being — mind, body, and spirit — in a world that constantly pulls us away from balance. Dr. Hansen writes with remarkable honesty and compassion. He doesn’t speak from a pedestal; he speaks as someone who has walked through pain, burnout, and self-doubt, and found his way back to peace and purpose. His own transformation — from living in unhealthy habits and emotional turmoil to a state of grounded, mindful living — forms the heart of the book, and it gives every chapter a real sense of authenticity.

What stood out to me the most is how Dr. Hansen emphasizes “wholeistic healing” (spelled with a ‘w’ to remind us of wholeness). He gently reminds us that healing isn’t just about medicine or therapy — it’s about nurturing our inner child, forgiving ourselves, practicing gratitude, and rediscovering joy.

Each article can be read in one sitting, making this book perfect for daily reflection. I often found myself reading a chapter in the morning and thinking about it all day. The chapters on “The Many Faces of Trauma,” “Healing the Inner Child,” “Mantras and Affirmations,” and “The Healing Benefits of Laughter” were my favorites — equal parts emotional and uplifting.

I finished Finding Wellness feeling lighter, hopeful, and inspired to take small, meaningful steps toward better living. This book is definitely one I’ll return to whenever life feels out of balance. This book actually serves as a beautiful reminder that wellness isn’t found in a pill — it’s found in the way we think, feel, eat, breathe, and love.

I finished this book feeling emotional and empowered. The way Dr. Hansen writes makes you feel seen. He understands that everyone’s journey looks different, and that’s what makes this book so beautiful. There’s wisdom in every chapter, but it’s delivered with warmth, not authority. It gave me clarity on so many things I’ve been struggling with, especially the mental side of wellness. This isn’t just a book, it’s a mirror.

I don’t usually write reviews, but this book deserves one. It’s beautifully written and so heartfelt. I could feel the care and passion behind every line. Dr. Hansen’s articles opened my eyes to how much misinformation there is about health online, and how much we’ve forgotten to trust ourselves. Finding Wellness gave me practical steps but also a deeper sense of peace. It’s one of those books you finish and immediately want to gift to someone you love.

I’ve read plenty of health books, but this one stands out because it’s written with heart. You can tell Dr. Hansen genuinely wants people to heal, not just physically but emotionally and spiritually too. His insights on modern life, diet, and mental health made me reflect deeply on my habits. The writing is calm, clear, and full of light. I closed the last page with a smile and a plan to start making real changes.

It’s rare to find a book that combines science, spirituality, and personal empowerment so seamlessly. Finding Wellness made me realize how disconnected we’ve become from our bodies and from nature. I appreciated how Dr. Hansen spoke about the role of farming and government systems in shaping our health it’s bold, but it’s true. Every chapter pushed me to think differently about my choices. It’s one of those books that makes you want to live with more intention every single day.

There’s so much wisdom packed into this book. What I loved most was how Dr. Hansen encourages readers to think critically, not just follow trends. He shows how the wellness industry often distorts the truth, and then gently guides you back to the basics self-awareness, balance, compassion. I learned how deeply our emotions affect our physical health. I feel more connected to my own body now. If more people read Finding Wellness, we’d all be a little healthier and a lot more grounded.

This book helped me see wellness as something far deeper than diet or exercise. I loved how Dr. Hansen wove in topics like trauma, spirituality, and emotional balance. He doesn’t shy away from hard truths about our healthcare and food systems, yet he delivers them with compassion and optimism. The balance of science and heart in this book is just perfect. It left me feeling inspired and more in tune with myself.

Reading this felt like reconnecting with the truth about what matters most. Dr. Hansen reminds us that wellness isn’t something you buy, it’s something you build through awareness, patience, and compassion. I loved how he explained the connections between farming, food, and chronic illness. It opened my eyes to how much our environment shapes our health. I’ve already started changing my habits because of this book, and I genuinely feel more alive.

Every page of Finding Wellness feels intentional. Dr. Hansen doesn’t just share information; he invites you to think, to question, and to grow. His take on the modern health crisis made so much sense, especially how we’ve traded real healing for convenience. What I loved most is that it never felt judgmental. It’s full of encouragement, hope, and wisdom. I finished it feeling motivated to live with more care and consciousness.

This book is pure gold for anyone tired of conflicting health advice. I appreciated how Dr. Hansen clarified the misinformation around wellness while grounding everything in compassion and evidence. His writing is both intellectual and heartfelt. The parts about mental health and self-acceptance were especially moving. It’s the kind of book you highlight constantly and come back to whenever you lose balance. Truly life-changing.

What stood out most to me about Finding Wellness is how Dr. Hansen connects all the missing pieces we tend to overlook; from the way our food is grown to how trauma shapes our health. It’s not just about physical healing; it’s about emotional and spiritual wholeness. Every chapter felt like a light being turned on. I found myself rethinking everything I thought I knew about “healthy living.” This isn’t a quick fix wellness guide. It’s a wake up call to live with awareness, balance, and love.

This is a nice book I have come across recently. Most of this generation's are occupied with mental weakness and stress. They don't know how to get rid of it. This book is well fitted for them. This book gives an overview of how life should be and what is the right way to go. Not just for mental health but also for physical health, the author has provided very good suggestions for our daily life.

Really debated between a 4 and 5 star rating. This book is important. Do I think everyone should read it? yes!
This book is written in the most basic, easy to understand way, of any health-related book I have ever read. Throughout the years I have struggled with diet, mental health issues (anxiety), and lack of motivation to exercise. This book gives ways to conquer these things, and the reasons for why it is so important to get these things under control. It is done in a way that does not sound "preachy", or condescending, or impossible to attain. I really appreciated the linked articles within the articles, and will confess that I went down the rabbit hole more than once exploring the new things that I was learning as I read.
So, why the four stars, you may ask? Well, Dr. Hansen has another book called "Triumph Over Trauma: Psychedelic Medicines are Helping People Heal Their Trauma, Change Their Lives, and Grow Their Spirituality" and I am certain it is an equally well written book, based solely on this one. However, the suggestions to use psychedelic drugs in this book simply rubbed me the wrong way because it is illegal in 48 out of 50 states. Having never done illegal drugs of any kind in my life, this rule-following gal could simply not get on board with this. I totally agree about everything said regarding the government and pharmaceutical outlines in the USA, but having mind-altering drugs is simply not going to do it for me. It's enough for me to be under anesthesia for dental or colonoscopy procedures to know this. I do not take any prescribed medications at this time, and my mindset for staying off meds is on track for staying that way, if I can simply make myself exercise more, which I felt this book may have helped me in that aspect. Had there only been one chapter about psychedelic drugs, I probably could have just read over it, and five stars would have been an easy rating, but it seemed a little overplayed for me. But, regardless of how you feel about those, read the book, because it is a wealth of information. Is it stuff you may have already heard before? probably, if you've been trying and failing with weight loss or anxiety of some kind for many years. But, I'm telling you, this book hits different for some reason, and I think it's simply the kind, bedside manner, that the author gives us as he gives us advice on how to overcome the obstacles.

FINDING WELLNESS
Finding wellness is essentially a roadmap to healing one’s mind body and spirit. The author insists that healing has nothing to do with medication or introducing outside remedies for our troubles, however, it is all about our general health with starts by detoxing. Just as our bodies are naturally designed to detox, so should we adopt the same mechanism in our general life, removing unwanted practices and often substituting them with healthier practices.

The author, in this book has highlighted the major, if not all, areas that we are unfortunately trained to overlook in our day to day lives. The readers are pointed towards the right and healthy direction. The book offers simple and realistic do’s and don’ts that are easily relatable making it a compelling read. Common misconceptions on healthy living are also called out to avoid misguidance and readers confusion.

Consistency is preached over taking on and off big steps which often lead to destructive boomerang effects. Mindfulness is encouraged in this journey to a fulfilling life. The readers will learn about simple techniques and practices to increase productivity in finding wellness. More importantly, a thanksliving is said to be a crucial practice in finding wellness. I would recommend this book to anyone who feels confused about the right practices to living a healthy and fulfilling life and needs right direction in the matter.

Finding Wellness In our day-to-day life, the biggest issue we face is trauma. And in a world where we take pills to mask symptoms so that we can get back to our busy schedules, the author emphasizes that it's not helpful.Finding Wellness is a book that encourages us to live our best life through actual healing. In the book the author talks about how since 2020 drug use and loneliness have skyrocketed. People are sad and not taking even basic steps towards healing. It shows how someone would rather pop a pill than spend time in nature. This book is fully relatable, and even if you might already be on a path to healing, a little reminder wouldn't hurt.
