Until now.

But finding Sarina is only the beginning. The secrets she kept from Sebastian may be too staggering for him to overcome.

With time running out before they face down their enemies, Sebastian and Sarina must Is their renewed connection enough to heal their wounds? Or are those scars too deep, too raw, to ever recover from?

The Crescent Lake Series is a collection of steamy, 18+, werewolf shifter romance novels. While the books feature only one couple’s story each and can conceivably be read as standalone novels, all the characters are heavily featured in every book, and there are some minor overarching plot points that continue throughout the series. Because of this, it is recommended to read the series from the beginning for proper context, world-building, and to avoid any spoilers.

A wonderful continuation of the stories of beloved Crescent Lake characters! Finally seeing behind the sly smirks and clever nature Sebastian has revealed to readers over the last three books and into his thoughts and heart, seeing the rich layers of complexity added to his already lovingly crafted character was amazing. The artful weaving together of storylines from the first three books and the introduction of new characters, some to love and some to loathe, was expertly handled.

I could also feel and appreciate the intense level of research the author did into true Dom/sub dynamics. Her respect for that community shines through in her careful explanations and descriptions, as well as in the contrast she presents with Sarina’s experiences throughout the novel.

The book was perfect mix of events, characters, and interactions that found me either laughing hysterically, on the edge of my seat, panting and burning, bawling my eyes out, raging, cheering, or gasping as the story weaved its magic. So hopeful for another novel, Maddie’s story (?), so I can continue reading as these wonderful characters evolve and grow!

DNF. Plot involves trafficking of women - in this case female werewolves. The heroine is imprisoned and subjected to torture for more than 100 pages in the middle of the book. Just too dark for me.

I received this book as an ARC by Allie Carsten and I’m so happy I did. I know this is the 4th book in the Crescent Lake series, but it’s the first one that I’ve read and now I feel as though I need to go back and read the first three – my TBR hates me. While this book can be read as an interconnected standalone, after you read it, you’ll want to go back and read up on all the characters and learn more about everything. I really had no problem understanding things and figuring things out.

This story follows Sarina and Sebastian. I really want to say so much but I also almost feel like I can’t say a lot because I’ll give a way too much. I’m really not known for my brevity 😊
Sarina is in the picture for a bit of time and then has to say a very heartbreaking goodbye and literally, my heart wasn’t ready for it. I had to take a reading break before I went back – very well written. After some time passes, Sarina is in need of help and who is there to help her… Sebastian. Sebastian is one of the most loyal and sweet MMCs. He definitely has his issues, I mean if you could look up a picture of dark and arcane he would be there, but you could tell that he knew that Sarina was endgame for him and he moved accordingly.

The plot of this book was incredible. It literally keeps you on the edge and page turning until the very end. This was a big book, but it really felt like it wasn’t long enough. I didn’t see all of the twists and turns that were going to happen until they were there, that’s a testament to the author. The spice was good, I mean, I wasn’t prepared for the *cough, cough* very interesting but delightful sexual tastes of Sebastian and Sarina… but this just shows how perfect they are for each other.

This book comes out on August 31st, and I highly recommend picking this book up and falling in love with the characters and the series like I just did.

“My first. My only. My end and my beginning.”

Well, I was already heartbroken and teary-eyed by chapter 14! I enjoyed reading this very unique shifter romance. Not many explanations were revealed early on in the book and we had to find out much later why certain things happened. This wouldn't have been so bad to wait for some answers if it wasn't a 752-page book. I enjoyed this story, but really don't think it needed to be so long. There were a lot of details and events that all needed their own time to be explored, but maybe picking the top ones would have made it shorter and still kept the quality of the writing in my opinion.

Their declarations of love to each other were really sweet. Their Dom/sub scenes were written very well, I think. It broke my heart that when she was kidnapped, she was put into a forced submissive role and the lines started to blur between the proper Dom/sub relationship she had with Sebastian and her new one with her captors. When she returned to Sebastian after being rescued, she was worried about safe boundaries and triggers. Sebastian was very patient, loving and understanding with her and I adored that so much!

“Nosotros somos las estrellas. Prometo que te encontrare. Te amo.”
“We are the stars. I promise I will find you. I love you.”

Also, I loved that there was so much Spanish in this book spoken from Sarina and that there was a glossary to help quickly translate if we needed to. The fact that Sebastian learned Spanish for her while they were separated, just cemented the fact that he was SO perfect for her! He was the perfect mate to her and I enjoyed reading their love story.

Thank you so much to Love Notes PR and Allie Carstens for this ARC opportunity.

I was fortunate enough to receive an ARC copy of the Delta's Rogue. In all honesty, I was incredibly excited. I enjoyed the previously published Crescent Lake books, rating all of them 3.75 or higher. I had high hopes for this book, as it follows my favorite character from the other books, Sebastian, on his "mate journey". Several of the themes listed for this book were ones that I expected to really enjoy.

First, I think it's important to mention that I, personally, do not have any sensitivity or struggle with the topics of human trafficking, confinement, abuse, or torture. There is a reason I say this. This book is very real, hitting some viseral and intense subjects. I can imagine how these things could be triggering to some. This is a book where the trigger warnings are important.

That being said, I did not find this book to be a difficult or uncomfortable read. Even with the heavy subjects, it maintained a beautiful complexity and respectful feel. No individual part or concept felt heavy handed.

I could have actually read more about many of the aspects of this book. It could have been another 50% longer, in some areas, and I wouldn't have thought twice about it. (Which is wild, because I didn't realize how long this book actually was until I looked it up after reading it, and it's already over 700 pages.) I would have enjoyed an even more in depth dive into each character and a deeper exploration of their trauma.

All that being said, THIS IS NOT A LIGHT BOOK. I have warm and fond memories of the other books in the series. Ms. Carstens does an amazing job writing her MMC to be so loving and so supportive that, in the end of the book, you walk away with a warm feeling, almost forgetting the drama, fighting, or devastation that was also in the book. Because of this, I forgot how serious the other books in the series really were. This book was more serious than any of the others. And STILL I walked away feeling warm and fuzzy. But it's important to know that this isn't a light book.

However, I really feel like that is what makes this book shine. It would have been so easy to take this incredibly serious concept (human trafficking) and dance around it, use it as a vehicle to further the dom/sub storyline. Instead, it's an exploration of the horrors of human trafficking and torture, and what it means to love someone who has been traumatized. I hope the bluntness of that statement doesn't scare anyone away, because the book is beautifully written, and the concept is incredibly well executed.

And there's still a beautiful and amazing love story that unfolds. Seb and Serina are masterfully written, given the complexities of their story. Their love feels real in the most earnest of ways.

The plot reveals were well timed, interesting, and most weren't even remotely predictable. The easter eggs for the other books in the series were delightful additions and make me wish I had read the other 3 books again more recently. (As is noted within the series info, you do need to read the series in order to understand everything that is going on.) All the other characters maintained their original voices/personalities from the other books, and their appearances are included thoughtfully and not just as cheap cameos.

My only real critique about this book was that I wanted more. To clarify, it's not that the book was unexplored or lacking. It just covers something so intense, so impactful, I could have read more. I wanted more exploration of the kink and Sebastian's world. I wanted more exploration of the club. I wanted more exploration of the difficult character choices that were made. I wanted more perspective switches (there are sections of the book that go for multiple chapters from one character's perspective). I wanted to see more of the recovery time after the trauma. I wanted more time viewing her trauma through Seb's eyes and Seb's struggle to make the right choices (or how his previous experiences help him to make the right choices now). I just could have lived within the story significantly longer, and I feel as though it still wouldn't have exhausted the concepts the story evoked.

This really was a human interest story. It was real. It was raw. It was gritty. It was not at all what I expected.

It was NOT a cheap, quick, light-hearted romance.

It was not the book I expected, but after reading it, it was so much better on such a different level, it was more like the book I needed. In the same way the book paints the picture of Seb and Serina as a deeper connection than anything physical they experience, the book is a deeper story than just another romance. I'm still surprised by the book it turned out to be.

Pinnacle of the Series. Epic level. Kinkier spicy scenes and lots of sweet emotional payoffs too.

Crescent Lake Series.
I love this whole series. I never thought I would be into romance novels, but these are special. Good stories, not fluff. There’s romance, but also good character development and fun supernatural elements (werewolves, witches, a few vampires).

Delta’s Rogue.
Of the four main friends, Sebastian was my favorite from Book 1 and on. So needless to say, I was eager to read his story. I would’ve skipped to it after book 1, but it wasn’t out yet. Fast forward about a year, and I am an ARC reader for his story about to be released (Aug 2025). So happy I got to see it early since I was getting antsy. However, I am also glad I wasn’t able to skip ahead because it would have lessened the experience to go out of order here.

This story feels epic, like the 3 other stories were always leading to this. There are references to all the other books, in a way that it would be harder to follow if you didn’t read them all. The overall plot has a bigger  “world impact” than even book 1 (meaning the world of those characters was more effected). The book is longer too. I saw it as almost having 3 separate “acts”. The emotional impact is also bigger in this installment. All the Crescent Lake guys and their mates (and kids) are back, and their stories are moved forward. If you know and love these characters like I do, you will be in for a more extreme ride. I laughed and cried more than previous installments, and that is saying something. Also, know that compared to the previous books in the series, the spice level is similar detail, but more… kinky/dark. So if you liked book 3, then this is in that vein, but more extreme (see minor spoilers below).

**Minor spoilers below**
I was hooked  on Sebastian from book 1 on, and his focused book took him to another level. I had high expectations and Carsten surpassed them. From the earlier books, I loved his ability to read people most. His job as torturer of Crescent Lake and decision to wait for his mate intrigued me as well. This book explained it all, and wow, I was blown away. He has a side he feels he has to hide, that his friends wouldn’t understand, and I really felt for him. He meets his match, and finally gets to be his true self. I loved that for him. He Is so strong, loyal, and insightful (and funny too), and every part of that personality shines in this storyline. Still my favorite Crescent Lake guy.
Sarina is another great female lead, and a perfect match for Seb. She is strong and independent, but also sweet and loyal. She has trials and goes through a very traumatic experience, but is able to get through it. First, when Seb literally saves her, and afterwards as he helps her work through her trauma. I really liked their fun interactions too from earlier in the story too. It made the heavier moments matter more bc you knew what they had to fight for.
I loved how the other main characters got to move forward in this book as well. We get to see: Haven and Wes become parents. Reid and Taryn expand their family and there are tons of cute Savvy scenes. Nolan and Cassandra push their boundaries (hot). There is even more Selene stuff. And Cav! He had me laughing and cheering in his scene stealing moments. I can’t think of a better way to end the series, and it is not even done yet (Maddie book next).
Spicy stuff spoilers ahead, if you want to know.. This book has a very defined dom/sub relationship, which may not be everyone’s thing, but I loved it. Characters explain/learn how it can be done safely and without being degrading. Their dynamic wasn’t about pain, just submission (and voyeurism). The first half of the book was spicy and fun. I wasn’t sure how the dynamic would change after the female lead was traumatized, but it was surprisingly well done. Her man was patient and never pressured her… showing that he always respected and loved her. Less sexy for a while, but very loving. Then they get their special spark back at the end, so that was a nice happy ending.

I've been *patiently (*impatiently) waiting for this book. I was lucky enough to get an Arc copy of the book and boy I wasn't disappointed. Sebastian has always been someone I've taken a fond interest in. He's the know all, the calm, the sensible but slightly aloof brother. He's the Delta, protective by nature and when his charge and Luna is hurt it's unthinkable for him. Sarina intrigued me immediately with her pack of nomads and the fact she took down the Delta without breaking a sweat. Yes Sarina! That's a FMC I want to read more about. However this book is not a cutesy, HEA, skip to the end of the story book. There are many layers formed in this book. Sebastian has proclivities that he's kept quiet, he's one of the few wolves that wants to honour his mate and isn't jumping in and out of beds. That doesn't mean he doesn't watch, help and guide but he's not just jumping into anyone's bed. Sarina sparked his notice but with so much going on and threats to his Luna, pack and friends he's just working hard to keep everyone alive and well. They explore some D/S behaviours together, initially to get information about someone but then they realize they really are compatible and Sarina is happy to submit but only for Sebastian and only in the bedroom. They are partners and working hard but eventually Sarina has to go her own way they part and it's emotional!! Sebastian promises to find her when the time is right. This turns much darker with human trafficking, Sarina is always trying to save people, her and the nomads work hard to protect the vulnerable from abusers and power hungry corrupt people. I don't want to say much more as I wouldn't want to spol it but I rated this book. It had everything, love, spice, suspense, promise, healing and trust. Sebastians loyalty and determination and Sarinas trust and healing were fantastic. There is plenty of woven story from the first three books along with introducing new characters and continuing to build their world and experiences. I really enjoyed there was a whole glossary of Spanish for Sarina. You do have to wait a long time for answers to some of the early plot and story but I promise you it's worth it! But also pay attention to the TW's

📚✨ ARC REVIEW ✨📚
The Delta's Rogue by Allie Carstens
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5 stars)

Thank you to Allie Carstens for providing a free ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Sebastian is a werewolf shifter who must work together with Sarina, a nomadic shifter, when his brother's mate is attacked. When work takes them to the BDSM club that Sebastian frequents, it kickstarts a dom/sub relationship between them that rapidly evolves into a romance for the ages.

When it is time for Sarina's pack to move on, Sebastian promises to find her again. This proves easier said than done, and years pass without them seeing each other. When Sebastian receives word that Sarina has gone missing while working to stop a sex trafficking ring, he will do anything to get her back.

This book was a rollercoaster. It opened like a thriller—immediately gripping—then shifted into steamy romance (which I am ALWAYS here for). Around the 25% mark, it turned dramatically darker, alternating between a harrowing tale of s*x trafficking and Sebastian’s relentless determination to save the woman he loves.

I went into the series blind (personal preference), somehow not realizing until I cracked open the book that this was #4 in the series. I was surprised at just how dark it got—definitely check the trigger warnings. As Degrassi would say: it goes there. That said, it wasn’t a bad surprise since I often read heavier material.

The highlight for me was the relationship between Sebastian and Sarina. What began as a lust-filled casual connection grew into something deeper, raw, and emotional. The BDSM layer added intrigue and gave their relationship something unique.

If you’re looking for a spicy, dramatic romance heavy on trauma, tension, and supernatural twists, this one’s for you.

This is my review for the Delta rogue. I just have to say I’m a huge fan of Allie‘s Work. I first found her on a pay by chapter platform and I’ve been hooked ever since. I have been waiting for this book and I’ve binged it so fast . Now one thing I have to say is it’s been a while since I’ve read her other books, so I was super excited when this one was released. It fits perfectly to read as a standalone and also a continuation. If you were not familiar with the first three books of the series, I would say definitely read it. All three books are as amazing as this one in their own way, and the plot and twist that keep you on your toes. Now reading this book and having the memory of a squirrel, it was definitely fun to dive into Serrina and Sebastian story. Definitely know your trigger warnings, nothing is in too much detail, which I greatly appreciate that you get the gist of everything that happens and the characters story that lays them to where they need to go for a shocking ending. I would say this is more of a shifter Romance with detail plot with twist you never seen coming. Now, if you read the first three books, you have been waiting to find out where their story goes. Starting off as background characters and leading it to their own book has been as enjoyable as watching your closest friends meet their soulmate, become friends and fall in love. She makes it so easy for you to dive into the story and feel like you’re a part of it. Now, without giving out any spoilers, I will say Serrina is definitely a bad ass, I am always down for a strong fmc, Sebastian OMG, yes please lol and nuncio and Amara I hate you so much and you had me punching the air. You get to meet some new characters and some old ones from their previous stories. I was surprised at how many pages this book was because I could not put it down, definitely a must read. Cannot wait to the full Complete series is finished so I can read them all From the first to the last. Looking forward to Book 5 definitely would recommend 4 spicy chili peppers.

✨Wow. This book absolutely consumed me. The Deltas Rouge is the kind of romance that grabs your heart, twists it up, and refuses to let go until the very last page.🤭 Sebastian and Sarina’s story is so much more than a reunion—it’s a battle of love against time, secrets, and scars that cut deep. I was anticipating Sebastian’s book for so long and it didn’t disappoint.❤️‍🔥

🐺Sebastian is a hero I won’t forget anytime soon. He’s fierce, protective, and loyal to the core, but his heart belongs completely to Sarina—and it shows in every word, every action.😍 What really sealed it with Sebastian was how vulnerable he became once the truth started to unravel. And how he helps her heal got me swooning.🫠

🩵Sarina is equally unforgettable. She’s layered, complex, and her journey broke my heart as they came to light. 🫶🏽Yet, her strength is what really stood out, her resilience and her ability to keep fighting even when everything seemed stacked against her. 💕Together, she and Sebastian have the kind of connection that sparks on the page. The spice was yummy! 🔥Their chemistry is passionate, but it’s the raw emotion between them that really makes their love story unforgettable.🥹

I was SOBBING my eyes out in this book. 😭The balance of romance and suspense was spot on. The pacing kept me glued to the pages, the twists had me holding my breath, and the emotional depth had me fully invested in their journey. 🤌🏽 This is more than just a love story—it’s a story of redemption, healing, trust, of finding your way back to the one who feels like home, no matter the scars left behind.🥰

If you’re looking for a romance that blends passion, suspense, and the power of true love, The Deltas Rouge is a must-read. I can’t recommend it enough.🙌🏽

Thank you so much to the Author Allie Carstens for the opportunity to read this ARC!💙

I have absolutely loved every Crescent Lake book in the series however, this one absolutely blew me away! We all knew Serena and Sebastian were endgame from the start. Since they met in Pen pal, we all had that feeling. So when it was confirmed, I screamed!!! This book was much anticipated for me.

Ok, so just a reminder, the books must be read in order so don’t forget to read books 1-3 before this one. As I said before, I love the series! This book was so different from the others but Allie did an absolutely amazing job!!!! Omg the chemistry, the action, the anticipation, I was literally on the edge of my seat and just wanted to keep reading! This book was so unpredictable. There were so many OMG moments I think I lost count. Could not anticipate what was to come in the least bit. Oh and the smut. Omg the smut was on point. Def 4 🌶️ for me on this one.

So let’s talk about Serena and Sebby. As I said, the chemistry was intense!!!! Like you can feel it jumping off the pages. They just got eachother, understood eachother. I loved Serena. She is so strong and amazing. What she went through is just so shocking I just don’t know how she was able to get through that. I know I personally couldn’t. But to think she did and persevered is amazing. A true warrior. Sebby, omg!!!! Sebby made me melt into goo. His devotion, his dominance, and his mushy side omg. I loved every side of Sebby in this book. I need my own Sebby. 😂. I know he’s become many of ours favorites and you’ll just have to read to know why.

“When we can’t use our voices, we give our love.”

I had the privilege of beta reading this story, and rereading it now after it all came together, let me tell you all the emotions and feelings hit just as hard as they did the first time around.

There's so much I could say about this story, but unfortunately, most of it would be spoilers so let's see... Sebby has been my favorite wolfketeer since Pen Pal, and this book definitely cemented his position as such. Sebby is just so freaking perfect, I don't even know how to explain the emotions this man evokes in me. Let's just say, I wouldn't mind being his desk ornament, every day of the damn week.

Now Sarina... Sarina is such a freaking badass female. She's strong, independent, and knows all the right buttons to push to get what she wants. She also went through so much in this story which was so painful to read, but the way she came out stronger was beautiful and inspiring.

I loved the connection between Sebastina (sorry, I had to 😆). The way they were each other's strength, and the way they complemented each other, dark sides and all, was just everything. No questions asked, this is definitely my favorite book in the series... so far.

Quote: “I take all of it back. Everything they stole from me falls back into place. It may be slightly off center. The pieces may be jagged and may not fit together the way they used to. But they are mine once more. They are mine, and no one can take them from me.”

Story ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice 🌶🌶🌶🌶.5

Sebastian and Sarina first connected when Sebastian's pack, known as the Crescent Lake pack, needed help with certain issues. The pack views Sarina and her friends as rogues, but they are there only to assist them; nonetheless, they disappear once they have completed their task. Sarina and Sebastian are growing closer  and when the day comes for Sarina to depart, Sebastian promises her that he will locate her no matter how much time passes. After four years, he didn't find her yet. Can Sebastian fulfil his commitment to Sarina? Will Sarina be the same outspoken and tough girl after he finds her?

I adored their relationship from the start and the way they cooperated to track out the enemy who had harmed his future sister-in-law, Haven. Sarina's forced separation with Sebastian broke both their and my hearts at the same moment. I'm amazed at how Allie was able to quickly move me from laughing and pleasant feelings to despair, anger, and grief. However, as I read, I kept thinking of Sebastian's assurance that he would find her no matter how much time passed. But what's really interesting is after, when they find each other.
Amazingly, I think this novel is my second favourite by this author. How this book could hold my interest from beginning to end without making me bored is beyond me.
Don't wait too long and grab a copy and read, for sure you're gonna love it.

Please make sure to check the trigger warnings before diving into this one. Allie Carstens manages to handle such a heavy, sensitive topic respectfully while still pulling you deep into the emotions of the characters and their journey. I may be biased, but I love Allie Carstens and the Crescent Lake series. She’s easily one of my favorite authors, and I adore how she always makes the twists and hints fall into place. I also appreciated how she had Sarina speak Spanish while giving us the English right away. It kept the flow seamless without pulling me out of the story.

Sarina and Sebastian’s story was so much more than I expected. I’m so glad we finally get to see the inner workings of Sebastian. I’ve always loved the little bets he made in the earlier books, so finally getting his story and a glimpse inside his mind was amazing. His need for control and the darkness he carries only make him even more intriguing and mysterious.

And Sarina? I’m obsessed. She’s absolutely 100% the baddest FMC ever, especially with everything she goes through. Ugh, these two together ❤️ I’m just so in love with them. Their love story is beautiful, raw, and powerful. That office scene 👀🔥 Let’s just say he didn’t just show her the ropes, he tied them. 😉

I also loved that we still got glimpses of the other characters and how they’re continuing to help their pack in their own ways. And those little crumbs for Maddie’s story? I cannot wait to see how it all ties together.

The Delta’s Rogue *ARC read* by @author.allie.carstens 🍋💙

Easily one of the BEST books I’ve read this year. This book made me laugh, gasp, hold my breath, sigh(in allllll the best ways) and CRY. 😭

If you’ve been around for awhile, you know my love for Allie and this series runs deep. I’ve loved fantasy books since I started loving to read but one thing is as I’ve gotten older, I’ve become very picky about fanatsy books. This entire series is one of my comfort reads, I come back to it often and think of all the books often. 🥹

Wesley has always held a special spot in my heart but homeboy Sebby really came to compete because DAMN 🥵 Sebastian has always been a little of a mysterious and honestly I wasn’t sure how much I was going to love his story. But I should I have never doubted it. I was hooked from the beginning. Blowing up Allie’s inbox with my thoughts and heartbreak 😭 something about the mysterious little brother really had me consumed and he’s top tier. 💙

Sarina. OHMYGOD. The depth and heartbreak that Allie put into this character is mind blowing. 🤯 the storyline behind Sarina was vast and complex, in an amazing way. But that being said, it could easily have been “too much” but of course Allie knocked it out of the fucking park. She’s a just artist in her writing. She always makes sure to write FMC that make women have something to look up to. Strong and independent FMC’s are what this world needs and Sarina is EXACTLY THAT.

That being said, Allie always writes MMC’s that not only support but also empower their women. 🫠🥵

The dynamic between Sarina and Sebastian is so alluring and always leaves you wanting more. This story is complex, pulls your heartstrings, makes you giggles and makes you kinda want to punch a wall. But it is EVERYTHING that this series needs and is the perfect book for this point in the series. It’s a MUST READ!!!!!

It’s truly such a great feeling being able to ARC read for @author.allie.carstens 🥰🥹

The Delta's Rogue is book four of the Crescent Lake Series.

The story between Sarina and Sebastian was heartbreaking and heartwarming at times. We get to see them develop a strong bond together that makes you believe in true happily ever afters. However, Sarina is only there for a short time and has to leave Sebastian. This is one of the heartbreaking moments, as you feel the heartbreak Sarina goes through during the goodbye. Now years later, Sarina is in need of help and unbeknownst to her, her saviour is none other than Sebastian.

Sarina goes through a lot of trauma while being in captivity. There are a lot of mental and physical things she had to go through to get out. You see her constantly struggling to cope with what she had to go through. But once she is with Sebastian, more secrets come out that may put a hinder on the relationship between Sarina and Sebastian.

Sebastian is one of the best characters from this series. He is a faithful and loyal individual and I appreciated everything he does for Sarina. There was something magical about their relationship together. He knew even before anything was confirmed that she was the one for him. The one person who would make him whole. I loved how he fought so hard and wouldn't let anything get in the way of achieving his happy ending with Sarina.

This was a remarkable read!

I don’t even know where to start with this one. The Delta’s Rogue completely consumed me; it’s one of those books that pulls you into a whirlwind of love, pain, suspense, and healing, and doesn’t let you go until the last page.

Sebastian and Sarina’s story was everything I’d been hoping for and more. Sebastian… oh my heart. He’s protective, stubborn, and impossibly loyal, but underneath that tough exterior, there’s so much vulnerability. And Sarina? WOW. She’s fierce and resilient, even when life keeps throwing trauma her way. Her journey broke me, but her strength and determination to keep going made me root for her with everything I had.

Their chemistry? 🔥🔥🔥 Off the charts. But what made it really special was how their connection went deeper than just spice; it was about trust, healing, and choosing each other, scars and all. Some scenes left me breathless, others had me in tears, and a few made me set the book down just to feel for a moment.

This book isn’t light! It tackles some very heavy themes (definitely check the TWs before diving in). But at the core, it’s about survival, redemption, and a love that refuses to break, no matter how many storms it has to weather.

If you’re looking for a shifter romance that mixes passion, danger, and raw emotion, this one’s worth every single page.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

I’m such a sucker for paranormal romance + urban fantasy, and this one did not disappoint. Even though it’s part of a series, I had no problem reading it as a standalone (I might need to read the rest of the books in this series before this one). Sebastian and Sarina’s story hooked me from the start, it opened like a thriller, slid into steamy romance (always here for that ehehe), then almost halfway, it got dark.

I loved how their relationship was written, especially after Sarina’s trauma. The way Sebastian respected her boundaries and was so patient and loving? Ugh, my heart. Their declarations of love were sooo sweet, and the Dom/sub dynamic felt genuine.

“Nosotros somos las estrellas. Prometo que te encontrare. Te amo.”
We are the stars. I promise I will find you. I love you.

Downside? A little too long, too many side characters, and the cover isn’t my fave. But overall, a dark, spicy, emotional ride that I couldn’t put down.

Tropes I loved:
🐺 Paranormal romance
🌕 Werewolf shifters
🔗 Fated mates
🕵️‍♀️ Secret identity
⛓️ BDSM

Thank you to the author for the ARC! ✨

The fourth book in the series and it met every box I had if not more. Sebastian is the Delta of the pack who is also a prankster who never loses a bet. He has been the comic relief in the hard times but he has also been the relationship fixer. He seems to have a knack at that. But what happens when he has his eye on the rogue girl who put him on his a$$ literally. Who is this rogue girl and her band of nomads? Trust me when I was reading this I was like shocked beyond shocked. Sarina was more than a little rogue. My girl was the truth. Her and Sebbi together gave me a mountain of emotions. I laughed. I cried. I screamed. This book brought out the feelings. Each book in the series gave me life. And this one gave me life and some. I love how each and every member of their family had Sebbi’s back. They fought for him. Hell they fought with him. It made me smile like the book nerd that I am. I don’t know how Allie will top this with book 5 cuz this one was something. It has some dark elements but it makes you think about real life situations that can happen minus the supernatural part. Read this book. Thank me later.

Before I jump in, if you can't handle certain difficult themes such as mention of SA, abduction, violence, torture, light bdsm, voyeurism please realize this may not be the one for you.
The only thing that I would have enjoyed being a little more clear, is the time period of chapter one. Once I got past that and read on, I couldn't stop reading.
This fourth book of the series has me in a choke hold. Sebastian, through every book, has been one of my favorites. Finally, we get to see who he really is, and I was, shall I say, shocked? Surprised? Intrigued?
This book took me on a roller coaster of emotions.
And our female main character Sarina, the mysterious spicy rogue. The author, Allie Carsten, brought Sarina to life in a way that you felt as though you knew her personally. There was so much growth in her character.
It's so hard to review this book because I just want to talk about everything that happened. Be prepared for a rollercoaster of emotions and a good amount of spice. This one is definitely a must-read.

When the love is written in and under the stars you get this emotional masterpiece of a story. The book spans years of their lives where you see them each facing different and difficult situations. I adore the devotion Sebastian has for Sarina even from the beginning. Every step along their journey is dynamic, emotional and in my opinion vital in developing not just how they will end up together but who they are and will be together. I am telling you there is nothing like this story in the shifter world. There are so many twists and turns that leave you on pins and needles and gasping at each new revelation. Trust the process and keep turning the page. It can be read as a stand alone but to get the true depth and brilliance of the story I recommend reading the other books in the series first. Please do check your trigger warnings as this dives deep into some heavy topics. I can’t find the words to express how much I enjoyed this book. Follow the stars and fall in love with these two too.

Just when you think this series can't get any better, Allie proves you wrong.

This book takes you through it, from the emotions you feel from both main characters to the fear that plays in tandem and the possessiveness that flows through our Sebby like a tidal wave.

Sarina is not just any rogue, or nomad as she likes to call herself. But when her path takes her to Sebastian, she can't help how everything follows. The love, the lust, the yearning, and the need to be with each other. They go hand in hand with Sebastian and Sarina. Lines get crossed and now they have to learn how to be apart.

"Promise me you'll find me again."
"I already told you"- he kisses me between his words- "I will find you."
"¡Prométemelo, mi vida!" I demand.

This book is beautiful, bringing with it a sense of dread at the upcoming battle as well as a sense of loss at the end and a new sisterhood between an unlikely pair.

The parts of Spanish that show Sarinas heritage is beautiful and so well done. This book will make you want more, cry, and want more all at the same time.

I’ve been waiting for Sebastian’s story since the start of this series. I was so excited to read this book and delve deeper into Sebastian’s personality. Sarina captures his heart and mind from the beginning. Sebastian pretends that it is fine that she will be moving on with her pack soon, but he is lying to himself. Sarina is the perfect match for Sebastian. She’s strong and feisty. Sebastian even introduced her to the dom/sub world and she found she thoroughly enjoyed being his sub. They are both devastated when the time comes for her to leave, and it is years before they see each other again.

When Sebastian finds out that Sarina was taken while on a mission, he will stop at nothing to get her back. Sarina experiences great trauma during her captivity. Once rescued, Sebastian is very patient. He helps her heal and trust again. This book has many dark themes, but love prevails in the end.

This novel swept me into a world of profound intensity—dark, passionate, and impossible to set aside. Sarina and Sebastian’s story is exquisitely layered, exploring trauma, resilience, and the transformative power of connection.
Sebastian’s emotional depth unfolds with remarkable nuance, while Sarina’s strength and vulnerability make her a heroine worth cheering for. The author’s thoughtful portrayal of Dom/sub dynamics adds authenticity and respect, enriching the narrative beyond expectation.
This is far more than a romance—it’s a story of healing, survival, and love that lingers long after the final page. With its perfect blend of tension, heart, and unexpected twists, it’s a masterful addition to the Crescent Lake series.
I truly hope Maddie’s story is next—I’m not ready to leave this world behind.

It's the final Wolfkateer's story! I've been looking forward to Sebastian's story. He's been a fun staple to all the previous books in the series. We know him as very observant, protective of his loved ones, and a bit of a jokester with his wild bets. It was really fun to see him be in the mate drama seat and learn to ask for help (not so much the bits that made me cry).

Sabrina is someone we met in the first book and I have been curious about ever since I suspected she was Sebs mate. I was not disappointed! I especially loved seeing the bits we missed of their story from book one!

Allie Carsten has a way of telling these wonderfully developed stories sprinkled with some moments you want to throw the book back at her. This feeling may have been more prevalent this book. Not only are the main characters well developed, but the side characters are intriguing!

The book felt a lot like the cat & mouse duet if they were werewolves and fated mates…

The most important thing to do before picking up this book is to read the trigger warnings. It’s a dark romance book and hits on some pretty heavy topics.

Our MMC Sebastian has yet again raised the bar on standards for men. Not only was he protective and healthily obsessed with the FMC Sarina, but he learned Spanish for her so he could always talk to her and understand her.

My emotions were all over the place with this read and it is easily the best book Allie Carstens has written.

Extremely thankful to have gotten this amazing arc and am even more grateful that this book pulled me out of a crazy reading slump!!

If you are like me and love weareolf romance than you absolutely need to read this series and join the Cresent Lake fam💌

The only word I can think of to sum this book up is WOW.
I wasn’t expecting there to be so much depth in this book, holy!
I’ll start off by saying I haven’t read any of the other books. This is my first in the series. They are interconnected, but can be standalones. I had no problem understanding everything.
This book has good spice, so much love, so much passion, you’re on the edge of your seat, you want to cry, you’re mad, you’re happy. It pulls on every heartstring.
I haven’t read many books where the character has this much depth in just one book. I am so impressed with the authors writing.
The plot was just incredible. It keeps you on edge so early in the book right to the end. And I didn’t expect all those plot twists at the end?! AHH! Such an amazing book! I absolutely love it!

This is the fourth book in the Crescent Lake Series, though it's darker than the previous three it is not less a fantastic read, brilliantly thought out and written. Allie Carstens has surpassed herself with this one! Though the genre is fantasy it does touch on a very real and dark topic that doesn't get talked about enough. You never know maybe this gets people talking about sex trafficking and helping to fight against it!
I wasn't expecting this turn for Sebastian's story, having said that, there's always been hints at his darker side in the previous books so it's not a total shocker that he has a particular taste in certain areas of his life or that his mate would share them. I hope everyone enjoys this book as much as I have!

Brilliant next chapter of the Crescent Lake Series. If you have read the first 3 books you will know that Allie Carsten has a gift for story telling and weaving unique tails. I would encourage you to start in order and read the first three so you know all the characters and the back stories. But one small warning this fourth chapter will keep you guessing and gasping no matter what. The relationship is intense, be ready with a fan. The story just about rips your own heart out so be ready with tissues as well. Pay attention to the triggers, if these are ones that will get you they might get you so tread cautiously. Brilliantly done Allie Carsten! I will be anxiously awaiting whatever you create for us next!

Talk about it's always the quiet ones. Sebastian is a perfect example of that saying. I think this story took us through a rougher emotional roller coaster than any of the others, and that's saying something, but it fit for these two. The twists that harken back to book one were unexpected in some instances, but a couple didn't surprise me because who else would go against Selene?

I'll be honest, it's so hard to decide if this one is my favorite of the four stories, or if it's one of the others, but either way, it's so good. It's raw and real, and I really hope this isn't the end of this series because I love it so much. Plus, there are more people that need their happy endings too.
