Sharing Nora

Rate this book
Nora’s life is quiet. Predictable. Married for decades, recently empty-nested, and surrounded by the hum of suburbia, she thought comfort was enough. Until her new neighbors moved in.

They’re loud. Passionate. Shameless. And once a week, Nora hears them through the walls.

At first, it’s just curiosity. Then it’s hunger. And then—it’s something else entirely.

What starts as innocent eavesdropping becomes obsession as Nora finds herself drawn to Ally, the beautiful neighbor who seems to glow from the inside out… and who might be harboring an erotic secret behind those perfect curtains. Ally's husband is a devoted and loving a man that Nora has ever met, so why does Ally enjoy attention from other men so much?

And is she someone Nora could learn from?

When reality turns hotter than any fantasy, Nora is forced to confront the boundaries of her marriage, her desires, and the things she never dared say out loud.

Married. Mature. Curious.
This isn’t just about sex—it’s about awakening.

When Nora inadvertently (and later, very intentionally) witnesses neighbor Ally enjoying afternoons with men not her husband, it sparks something inside her. Jealousy? Desire for experience? Need? Luckily, Ally is happy to share, and Nora’s husband Mark is curious enough to let her.

Without exception I’ve enjoyed every book in the Shared Wives series, but Sharing Nora is without question my favorite. While I really like the characters of Nora and Mark, it’s Ally that takes this book to the next level for me. She’s both a catalyst for Nora and a centerpiece in her own right. The group dynamics she orchestrates are incendiary!

Merlot’s style has varied with the couples across the series—no cookie cutter writing here, but, again, Nora stands out. The flow and cadence of the prose is superb—both beautiful, at times almost poetic, and hot as sin. I will definitely go back and read this book again just because I so enjoyed the feel of the words in my mouth. This is something that seldom happens for me, but oh what a treat when it does!

I can wholeheartedly recommend the entire Shared Wives series. They would make an excellent addition to the library of anyone that enjoys intelligent hotwife erotica.

“Sharing Nora” is a provocative exploration of desire, marriage, and unconventional relationships. It follows Nora, a woman in a stable but predictable marriage, whose curiosity is piqued by her neighbour Ally’s open lifestyle. While exploring Ally's BDSM and consensual non-monogamy world, she confronts her repressed desires and questions her marriage to Mark.

Raven Merlot delivers a steamy narrative that balances eroticism with emotional depth, showcasing the complex dynamics between Nora, Mark, Ally, and her husband Jason. The writing is immersive, although the explicit content may be intense for some readers.

While the novel effectively portrays the complexities of modern relationships, its pacing can be slow, and some readers might not appreciate the moral ambiguity. Nevertheless, it's worth a try.

Nora and Mark have been overhearing the neighbors, Ally and Jason, during sexy time. One day Nora notices a different man entering Ally’s house, while Jason was out of town, and overhears them as well. Now Nora has "felt something I hadn’t felt in years. Hunger." and decides "I want something else." Nora tells Mark, who tells her Ally may not be cheating, "People have … arrangements. Open stuff. Kinks," which Jason confirms. Now that Nora is questioning her path in life, so is Mark. Nora starts to take steps into opening her marriage with the invitation, guidance and encouragement of Ally. Mark slowly gives his permission and gradually steps into the lifestyle.

This fifth installment of Raven Merlot’s Shared Wives series was really good, but not my favorite due to a few activities I am not a fan of (cuckolding and humiliation). Although these are expected tropes in Hot Wife stories, I have come to love Raven's latest novella's that concentrate on love and sharing. Without giving any more spoilers, I can assure you the scenes are very hot and the slow burn as Nora convinces herself to expand her life and her desires is even hotter. You can expect the same excellent writing from Raven as she continues to lead us on this incredible journey that is nothing like her previous writing. What a natural talent she has.

Do open windows make for good neighbors

Sharing Nora is the fifth book in the Shared Wives series. Nora and Mark have been married with kids for a long time. But now the kids are out of the house and it is just the two of them living a quiet and routine life in the burbs. But that all starts to change when a young couple moved in next door three months ago and they like to keep their bedroom window cracked open...and make a lot of noise. Nora is curious and that turns into desire, which she shares with Mark. Fantasies are revealed and the question is whether those can become reality, and what will happen then.

The neighbors have brought out new feelings in our heroine, feelings that she can't ignore any longer. Things are going to change around the house in quite unexpected ways.

This is a short erotic story featuring cuckolding. The story is well written and easy to read. The characters and situation are straightforward, with our heroine exploring new situations with her husband. The results are entertaining and very steamy. Overall, I quite enjoyed this story and look forward to more from this author.

Highly recommended.

This is quite a story—definitely not one to read in public, unless you don’t mind some serious blushing!

This was my first time reading this author, and while I really enjoyed it, I think I would have rated it five stars if the husband had joined in or explored new experiences as well. As it stands, four stars feels right for me. Since they were each other’s firsts, I understand the curiosity about other partners, but it would have been even more interesting to see Marc discovering other women too. The ending does hint at that, but a chapter dedicated to his experience would have been chef’s kiss.

I loved this story. It was a relatively slow burn, but once the spice began, it didn’t let up. And, boy was it spicy. There was a lot of love, understanding and care in this short book. Nobody was obsessed or jealous, just accepting. There was really good conversation and communication. There was even a found family element and the story was light even though the scenes were intense. If it was real life (which I guess it could be), it would have a HEA. I would definitely recommend this novella.

Yet another in the wife sharing series from Raven and I think this was the best yet. Wife and husband share much love but unfortunately, things are becoming predictable, so when a young couple move next door and she hears lots of headboard banging she becomes intrigued & even more so, when a stranger visits the neighbor during the day when hubby away. What follows is the young wife bringing in Nora & eventually her husband, into her sexy, cuckold world..I need neighbors like that!!

The book starts off with some intriguing introspection and emotional tension that I found engaging, but it veers heavily into cuckolding and humiliation, which I didn’t expect and don’t personally enjoy. If you’re into that genre, it might land better for you. That said, the writing often felt formulaic and emotionally flattened — almost like it was AI-generated or at least AI-assisted. That didn’t ruin the experience, but it made it feel less authentic. A mixed read for me: three stars.

Nora has seen things at the neighbors.
It has peaked her interest!

She hasn't kept anything from Mark.
They've talked about it.
They're both introspective.

Is it possible they need a change?
Are they strong enough to try?
Will Nora only "learn" from Ally?
What about Jason.

Emotional.
Steamy.
Interesting.

If you are looking for all the spice, this is it!! Nora is married to Mark but is feeling sort of out of sorts in her marriage. She thinks she sees her neighbor cheating, but finds out there is so much more to the story. Nora finds her way into a whole new way of life. The spice is XXX! Great read!

I absolutely loved Sharing Nora. I loved how Nora and Mark are able to communicate and be secure in their marriage to be open to exploring and how Ally and Jason bring them into the mix with no pressure and much guidance.

Raven is a brilliant lifestyle author. If you love Hotwife stories this is a must read? Mark and Nora have a beautiful marriage. Their wonderful neighbours Ally and Jason are a magnificent Hotwife/cuckold couple. They lead Nora and Mark into a new world. Much more ruins a fantastic plot. Five white hot, pumping, pulsing, shooting stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Nora is an empty nester that discovers life is a little dull. The new neighbors give Nora an idea of what is missing. She needs to share things with her husband. How will her ideas be received?.

Nora sees her new neighbor entertaining another man other than her husband. She wonders what is going on and should she tell the husband. She tells her husband and he says to stay out of it , but she can't. She gets her husband to talk with Jason (Ally's husband) and finds out that he knows of her fucking other men and it's with his approval. When Nora finds this out she becomes more curious about their lifestyle and starts spying on her neighbors activities. Ally just invites her to watch first hand and see how it all works. With caution Nora does watch and then participates slightly. Now she has to get her husband to give her permission to go further. He does and she proceeds to go all the way. This adventure takes the expected turns, it just takes a little long to get there. I would have liked to see more action and less set up of the action. There is less self stimulation story than I would have liked. But its interesting!.
