The only reason Clay, a notorious thief, likes Christmas is because there's more for him to steal. But when Heather uses a single blistering kiss to force him out of a major score, Clay realizes he must rearrange his priorities or lose the beautiful Christmas elf forever.
This was a bit of an odd story, about a thief (Clay) who meets a girl called Heather who claims to be Santa Claus’ daughter. She has to marry by midnight on Christmas Eve, or she will never marry and have a family. Clay thinks she’s nuts, but eventually realises that she’s not, and we get a happy ending. Bit of a strange story though really! 6.25 out of 10
This is a different Christmas romance, Clay is a thief and christmas is his busiest time of year, but his latest crime is foiled by a gorgeous redhead named Heather, now Heather may be gorgeous but she's seriously delusional she believes she's an elf and the daughter of Santa and on top of this she believes she has to find a husband by Christmas Eve or she'll be forever an old maid. This is a delightful little Christmas romance, different and cute.
I feel sort of like this story pulled its inspiration from The Santa Clause 2. It even has a line from The Santa Clause almost verbatim towards the end. That being said, this story is still it's own story and not just a cheap knock off of the movie.
I enjoyed the interactions between Clay and Heather. They felt real for the situation. There is an element of almost insta-love, but for this story it makes sense too.
My one complaint is that there were too many spelling/grammar errors for a book of this size. There were not a ton, but more than I find acceptable based on the length of this story.
I would definitely recommend this story to people looking for a humorous Christmas romance.
absolutely adorable! Heather was a sweet, quick read. Clay is a thief, and the week before Christmas is the must lucrative for him. At least, it is before he is stopped by a strange girl after picking the pocket of a man who came out of a jewelry store. She claims she is saving him from the naughty list. Clay ends up following her to her hotel, and ends up being told - by the girl - that her name is Heather and her father is Santa. Heather needs to find a husband and get married before the clock strikes midnight Christmas eve, or she's doomed to spend the rest of her life as a spinster at the north pole. Clay tries to help her out, but soon realizes how drawn to her he is.
This was a fun short story to read. Santa's daughter has to find a husband. She sees a guy picking pockets and relieves him of his latest pick to return it to the guy he stole it from. He follows her and so starts the story. It's a fun, cute story that I enjoyed reading. Took about 30 minutes.
This is a very nice, charming holiday story and I think it would make a wonderful Christmas movie. The characters are likable and I enjoyed the way the relationship developed, not at an overwhelming speed. This is a cute fantasy that I thoroughly enjoyed.
