I came to Silverwell Academy to learn magic, not get murdered. But honestly? It’s a step up from my last gig—blood-soaked assassin for a sadistic fae.
Yeah. I was kidnapped, tortured, and trained to kill on command. Sixty-eight bodies later, and I finally got free.
Now I’m trying to fake a normal student life with my unstable magic, unresolved rage issues, and a smile that screams try me, bitch. Except someone’s out there carving runes into hybrid students like we’re sacrifices—and I’m a tribrid with a flashing neon target on my back.
My options?
1. Hide (Ha, no).
2. Hunt the killer.
3. Try not to lose what's left of my mind while four dangerously hot guys complicate – An alpha wolf who watches me like prey. – A mage who kisses like he’s casting a spell. – A vampire who hates me but smells like my next mistake. – And a fae professor that my soul calls for, even though he won't let himself cross that boundary.
Something wicked is stalking Silverwell Academy's halls, and I’ve got a kill count to add to if they come for me.
I was gifted an ARC of Blood Will Spill: Silverwell Academy — and it completely took over my brain. This book is a sharp, violent, and wickedly fun fantasy filled with supernatural politics, forbidden lust, and characters that are anything but safe.
Here’s what you’re in for: 🩸 A tribid assassin (yes — three supernatural bloodlines and deadly as hell) 🧛 Vampires, shifters, witches, and fae in one explosive academy setting 🔥 Mating bonds + forbidden desire = off-the-charts tension 🏫 A magical school where no one is innocent, and survival isn’t guaranteed 💀 And unforgettable, unhinged humor like:
> “Didn’t you know your wife ran off with the gardener when I let those poor girls go? I’m told he has a better hose.”
The pacing is tight, the world-building is rich, and the chemistry between characters is intense. You’ll laugh, flinch, and probably fall in love with at least one morally grey menace.
If you like dark fantasy with spice, high stakes, and supernatural chaos — add this to your TBR immediately. I need book two yesterday.
Thank you for letting me read this ARC copy. Firstly when is the second book😀. This book had me from the start. The characters, the connections between them is great. The plot captures the reader from the first page. The supernatural aspect is riveting. The blend of supernaturals is written so well. Letting the reader know their differences but at the same time their connection. Their past trauma connecting them together. At no time was there any boredom while reading this. I’m disappointed that I have to wait for the continuation. Great plot, characters that stand out, and a story that flows without any mundane parts. Loved it. I am really interested in seeing where you take these characters and their journey forward. Thanks for the opportunity to read this ARC.
I got this arc read after approaching the author on TikTok, reacting to her demand for ARC readers. I was excited to start this, as I always am after conversing with the authors themselves, but sadly this book didn't do it for me. I really wanted to love this, but there were just too many things I couldn't ignore, even though I thought I would like the tropes.
One of the things that irked me throughout, was just the instantaneous everything. There was insta attraction, from start to finish. The men instantly liked her, even when they pretended not to and hurt her in the process. It just seemed like the relationship needed to be there. The thing is, you can do that with pre-established relationships (old friends, someone you know from another setting), but in this case they were all strangers. To go from nothing to undying loyalty, is just hard to make believable. It might just me as a demisexual person, but the instant (sexual) attraction and relationships are just weird and alien to me.
To jump to Isobella. It just felt like 99% of the story, Isobella had to overcome nothing. Her problem in the beginning of the book? Solved for her. Any trouble? She mostly just dodges it, or deflects it onto the other person. Except for a happening at the end, she always comes out on top. This made me feel like she was overpowered, and honestly, for most of the time just a Mary Sue. She also is never insecure about anything (good for her, but really? Don't you doubt anything in life?) Even though she gets described as one with (severe) trauma, it seems like she just breezes through that. Besides from the occasional flashback, it feels like nothing happens in relation to this trauma.
Next up, the love interests and side characters. Look, I am a gal that likes why-choose stories. But the love interests seem to all have the same patterns in how they think about her, their approach to her,... Even though they were slightly better than the side characters in case of individualism, they just feel flat. But not flatter than the side characters, oh no. Isobella's friends just... lack personality a little or just do things that don't stroke with the personality they have been given. They constantly get pushed to the background by the love interests as well. If they had been more fleshed out, I think they could've been fun and would've made me care for them more, but I just didn't because of how they were written and just pushed away all the time.
Some things I did appreciate were the sapphic side-romance. It would've been fun if that had gotten some more attention instead of shoving it in a ditch for the main characters all the time. It was also a 'touch her and die' situation and that got taken very seriously. I thought that was well executed.
I just feel like this story has a lot of potential, but more fleshed out and with a slower pace. I think there definitely is something there, but it needs to be more on page, with breathing room for the readers, and more relationship building instead of this instantaneous love. Let one be more of an enemy/rival for a longer time, let the professor be more reluctant, let one relationship be an 'I got dirt on you and you on me and we need to be hush about it'-situation. That still leaves you one that can get instantly infatuated. I think at least one more deep, even slow burn, romance would've done the story good.
In the end I still wholeheartedly want to thank Georgie Mitchell for letting me ARC-read for her. I of course received this as an eARC for free and my opinion is given freely and honestly. In the end this may have not totally been my cup of tea, but I am, however, curious about where this story is going, so I hope to possibly read the next part as well. And, as always, I hope this story does find its intended audience.
Blood Will Spill is a bold debut that plunges readers into a world of magic, trauma, and forbidden desire. Isobella, a tribrid—witch, vampire, and panther shifter—emerges from the ashes of her family's destruction with a razor-sharp edge and a heart full of vengeance. Her journey to Silverwell Academy is as much about survival as it is about self-discovery.
What sets this book apart is its fearless exploration of complex themes. Isobella's trauma is palpable, and her growth is both painful and empowering. The romance is intense and unapologetically spicy, with a "why choose" dynamic that adds layers of tension and intrigue. The chemistry between Isobella and her love interests crackles with intensity, making every interaction charged with emotion.
The world-building is immersive, blending elements of dark academia with paranormal fantasy. The pacing is relentless, keeping readers on the edge of their seats, while the character development adds depth to the narrative.
While some may find the pacing swift, especially in the romance department, the emotional payoff is worth it. Blood Will Spill is a thrilling, spicy, and emotionally resonant read that leaves a lasting impression.
Thank you Georgie Mitchell for an advanced copy of this book!! 5⭐️’s 3 🌶️’s

Farel FMC, Why Choose, Dark Academia, Found family, Banter, Touch her & ☠️, Paranormal
Pnr, reverse harem, Academy, hidden royalty, evil characters. Our heroine is an impossible tribred, with vampire, shifter and witch genes. She was kidnapped as a teen, tortured and magically forced to become an assassin. The book begins as she is finally rescued and taken to an Academy for elite paranormal beings. She tries to hide her third ability as most hybrids are discriminated against and three is unheard of. Despite having her witch side repressed while captive she quickly becomes adept in all her powers. She meets four men who adore her over time and makes good female friends as well. Evil is afoot though and adventures ensue. First in unfinished series.
I really enjoyed this book and had such fun reading it! Fast paced and intriguing plot plus my kind of humour, had me hooked and I honestly couldn’t put it down. I desperately need book 2!
The FMC is funny, strong and vulnerable, the MMCs are obsessed and everyone is a good amount of unhinged. If you like Dark Academia, RH, a strong FMC, sarcastic humour and multiple POV I definitely recommend this book.
This book was action-packed and fast-paced and had tons of drama. There wasn't a dull moment.
Izzy was as sarcastic and badass as promised and definitely someone you can connect with, especially if you have 4 men crazy in love with you at first sight.
Some things surprise you out of nowhere, but the story did keep me on my toes.
I'm excited to get some things explained in the next book and maybe dive deeper into others, but regardless, I had a lot of fun reading this.
This was a fantastic, delightful little find, found family, insta love, insta friendship, an unhinged but open to love fmc, and holy SHIT what a refreshing change if pace that is!! An fmc who has been tortured and broken but still craves love and embraces it, none of this misplaced guilt and I'm not good enough bs most fmcs have, this girl KNOWS her worth and I AM HERE FOR IT!!! So well written, perfectly placed, laugh out loud funny, rich world building.
Love Love Love!!! I was lucky enough to get an ARC of this book This book was exactly what I needed to get me out of a rut! The FMC was such a funny character and I can’t wait to see her heal and be happy and badass with her mates and friends. The bonds she’s developed are so different and special and I just loved reading this book! If you’re into romantasy that’s a little dark I cannot recommend enough!! Can’t wait for book 2
This book was so good, Dark Paranormal Academia why choose romance where the FMC is the perfect mix of brave, fierce, deadly but soft and vulnerable. As for the MMC’s … well 4 powerful men with nothing but pure desire for the FMC no matter what secrets come out, yes please 👌 The story ends on a cliffhanger and I’m so ready for the next book
Holy cow!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ALL THE WAY!! When I tell you that I could NOT put this book down, I mean it. I tried so hard to make it last because I was not ready for it to end but I COULD NOT STOP reading it! The witty banter, steamy flirting, lines I will use against my husband 😂😂 and the spicy scenes? YES PLEASE!! I’m dying for book 2!!!
This was such a fun read! Super spicy with lovable characters, set in a world that feels as though True Blood and Harry Potter had a self-aware child. The pacing felt the smallest bit rushed, so it makes for a quick read, but I would have rather had more! I highly recommend and can’t wait for book two!
My first ARC read and such an amazing start! I was hooked from the beginning. The FFM is sarcastic, badass, magical and just a teeny bit vulnerable. The MMCs (plural) are all so different and darkly lovable it's definitely too hard to chose between them! Absolutely loved the story, the magic and the relationships between the main and background characters. Now desperately waiting for book 2!
If you enjoy numerous POVs this book will not disappoint. This story starts with a bang. FMC is bad to the bone with a lot of psychological trauma. Georgie Mitchell does an AMAZING job in this book with description and character depth. The cliff hanging end leaves you needing more immediately!
This book has kept me on the edge of my seat of wanting to know what is gonna happen. We have a found family, mate bonds, strong FMC with 4 strong MMC. It has checked each of my favorite genres from paranormal romance all the way to end. If you haven’t read it you totally should it’s definitely worth it
*I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.*
I loved this book so much! The humor was right up my alley. The FMC's inner monolog was great! Georgie's writing had me laughing, grinning, and wanting throughout the book. I cannot wait for the next book. I will be buying this one to add to my physical collection too!
I would recommend it to anyone who wants a dark paranormal romance with witches/mages/vampires/fae/shifters, why choose, morally black FMC, protective/possessive MMCs, humor, and wants some spice.
- Paranormal Romance - Dark Academia - Why Choose (FMMMM) - Multiple POVs - Shifters - Fae - Witches/Mages - Professor x Student - Student x Students - Touch Her and Die - Possessive/Protective MMCs - Bully MMC - Strong Morally Black FMC - Banter - Friendship/Found Family - Check Trigger Warnings - Part of series (Book 1)
This book blew me away. Each chapter kept me on my toes and the end literally had me frantically swiping looking for the next page. Left with my jaw hanging open and so beyond ready for the next book to come out!
absolutely awesome book could not put it down. My favourite kind of genre, love the way the story makes me laugh out loud all of a sudden, definitely would recommend... Worth reading. can't wait for the second book 😍
Just read the book. It’s great. 2 instalove guys and 2 hold outs. Badass FMC. Lots of spoiling and groveling. Did I mention the FMC is an absolute badass? Because she’s seriously fantastic. Please get a move on for book 2 cause I need it.
Man, I love the emotional roller coaster of a book this was. The ending has me yearning for the next part. A little bit of everything of a good dark romantasy.
This book is like nothing I’ve read before. There is a lot of build up and a shock at the ending, leaving you needing more. I’m excited to continue with what’s to come in the future!
Absolutely loved it. The pacing was great and the different characters brought the story together and it was a very easy read. Can't wait for the next one!
This was such a great read. I am obsessed!! It was such a great read it devoured it in a day!
It has a bad ass murderous FMC who knows her power and 4 bad ass MMCs who are OBBSESSED with her. Its got so many different supernaturals and its set in an academy setting!!
I need the next book like yesterday! I cannot wait to know what happens next!! Ugh if you like supernatural, academy, reverse harems please give this a read!
Was in a serious book slump, but this book dragged me out of it, giggling and kicking my feet. If you love badass fmc's then this book is for you! Kael is deffo my fave 😍
I was lucky to get the read this as an arc and Omg this book was absolutely amazing i was hooked from page one it was just absolutely fantastic with all the right mention drama, plot twists and the ending I was like no I need more need to know more. Just absolutely fantastic.
This book follows are fmc who is a tribrid how was taken prisoners and forced to be an assassin and when she escapes she wants vengeance but also a family people to love her. An in this book we dnt get got one mmc no we get 4 n omg they are all juicy, twisted, possessive, protective and dark in all there only ways and its just absolutely perfect. I can absolutely not wait until book 2 just such a fantastic book.
Honestly this book just lacked depth. I hate to leave bad reviews on indie published books but this just didn't hit the spot for me at all 😩
The world was interesting: a universe in which fae, shifters, witches, and vampires coexist. I just wish we'd gotten *more* of it! Izzy is attending Silverwell Academy, the Hogwarts of this universe, there were so many golden opportunities to dive into the history and politics of this world that got missed.
The characters also had potential but also just needed more exploration. They all felt very 2D - we literally know nothing about any of them except that they fell madly in love with each other after a week.
I appreciate the attempt to write about trauma, but it didn't work for me. It felt like the author was aiming for haunted, defensive and sassy, but landed on chavvy teenager.
The plot was so choppy & tenses got changed up a lot.
Overall it just felt like a wattpad read. It's not awful - I finished it, but I wouldn't continue the series. It's on KU, so I didn't waste any money on it, but I'd honestly probably be extremely disappointed if I'd purchased this.
