He shoots. She rolls her eyes. Love might still score.

Koren Roberts
Elijah and I were childhood best friends turned totally lovestruck teens who swore we’d elope the summer after graduation. It was supposed to be forever.
Then came the photos of him with other girls—posted all over social media. And his sudden refusal to talk about our wedding in public? Yeah, I panicked.
So when a mysteriously convenient out-of-the-country internship landed in my lap, I took it.
Oh, and I left on our wedding day.

Elijah Jonas
It’s been a year since Koren left me on our wedding day.
Now we’re both back in a lineup. It’s not hockey—I’m a groomsman. She’s a bridesmaid. Same beach where we fell in love.
Same tangle of feelings we never quite untangled.
As a winger, I’m used to chasing plays, but nothing prepared me for the face off with the girl who once promised me forever. She’s all eye-rolls with not-funny threats of violence with her dinner fork.
Seriously, it looks sharp, and I’m a little afraid.
But amid the chaos of rehearsal dinners and late-night bonfires, the truth about what really happened last summer begins to surface. The chemistry between us hasn’t faded, and I’m starting to think neither of us truly wanted this breakup.
This isn’t just a reunion. It’s a rematch.
And this time, it’s till death do us part.

Oh my days this book put me in a daze ,a haze , but of course because this book is so beautiful and all , had a ball or should that be puck? Reading this book . It’s the upmost treat that can’t be beat ,reading this book ,it’s bliss and you’re rooting for them to kiss. It’s Swoon and second chance at that honeymoon? Who knows…Koren left Elijah on their wedding day ,upped and ran away. He’s still reeling and feeling in love ,as that’s not diminished just because she had enough and they were finished . She went away .They may now have a chance ,a dalliance ,a way to put their points of view and even say I love you? Well let’s see. They’re both involved in an upcoming wedding party a year later but not as the leading lady and her leading man but she’s a bridesmaid ,him a groomsman . He doesn’t hate her for going away on their wedding day ,he’s still the same man who loves the same leading lady , can he make the best play of his life and convince her to give him another chance ? Maybe at being his wife…. perfect storyline ,it’s might fine by design and that’s J.P. Sterling’s storytelling prowess that’s mightily compelling and her writing style ? I could read for hours! It’s just his puck ,erm I mean luck. Sorry about that ,it’s the hockey that has me in a tizzy and dizzy for their happy ever after. He’s a winger, a grafter , she’s no minger and she’s also not daft ,her. She knows how much she still cares so no splitting hairs when they come clean ,let the explanation about the happenstances from a year ago play out and a realisation that they were not on the same page . A misunderstanding and his job being so demanding, she had cold feet who knows . But they didn’t come to blows ,she just left leaving him bereft but knowing not why . This J.P. Sterling ,I don’t mind telling you I loved every minute of this ,it was intermit bliss . 🫠

I love friends to more and second chances! Add in some hockey and a wedding, and you have the makings of a fabulous story!

Koren and Elijah had been friends for years but secretly in love with each other. They finally admit their feelings but outside forces conspire to keep them apart, and suddenly they haven’t seen each other in a year, only seeing each other again for a wedding. The chemistry is still there and it’s the perfect time to talk about what happened. They clear everything up but there are still people who don’t want them together and will do whatever it takes to break them up again. Luckily love prevails and I’m glad they get their happy ending!

I love that the wedding they’re there for is Kaci and Jackson’s, and that we get to catch up with the other members of the Granite Ice team. The owner Bill is still up to his old tricks and I was very excited to learn he’s getting his own book. I can’t wait!!

Till Sudden Death Do Us Part is a sweet, second chance, hockey romance. No one needs parents like Elijah's! Paired up in a bridal party, Koren and Elijah just may find a way to end the heartbreak that had her leave the country on their supposed to be wedding day! Oh, what a pair of main characters. I was rooting for the romance harder than I root at a hockey game! The book is impossible to put down until all the details have been sorted out. These two belong together. I love the way Ms. Sterling resolves everything!

I love this series, and I couldn’t wait to read the newest book! It did not disappoint. With previous characters and new characters combined, you get glimpses of past romances mingled with a new second chance romance between Koren and Elijah. There was just the right amount of drama, plenty of hockey, and so many sweet moments. The happily ever after was just right and you even get a glimpse of what is yet to come.

Koren Roberts and Elijah Jonas grew up together in the small town of Mapleton, being best of friends, secretly in love with each other. Their family situations were on opposite ends of the spectrum, but somehow, they worked. It took until the end of high school at the usual beach bonfire, that they finally reveal their true feelings to each other. As they graduate high school, Koren gets a scholarship offer in Paris and unfortunately, Elijah doesn’t get any ice hockey offers, even though he was a good player. He had saved up from his part time job and just got a brand-new car and took Koren out for a spin, when someone crashes into him. His misfortune soon turns to good luck, as the person who crashed into him admits it was his fault, but doesn’t want the police involved. He has too many speeding tickets and would lose his license. Instead, he offers Elijah a spot on his hockey team, Granite Ice, which he owns and is the local team. If Elijah doesn’t call the police, he will give him a spot on his team next season and will pay for his car to be fixed. He could finally make his parents proud and impress Koren. He takes the offer, but knows it has to be kept quiet. He has his dream and doesn’t want to stop Koren from chasing her dreams, so they decide to elope and get married right before she has to leave. But just as they should be walking down the aisle, Koren disappears on him and refuses to take his calls, or even give him a reason why she left him at the altar!

A year later, she is about to be the maid of honour for her sister Kaci’s wedding to Jackson, a fellow teammate of Elijah’s. This means she is being paired with a groomsman and her sister has kept this very quiet, using just his initials, EJ! Koren hadn’t really thought about him being at the wedding, but her own sister keeping it a secret, hurts her. She never wanted to see Elijah again, after his parents told her he was embarrassed by her and he didn’t refute his single status on a press interview when asked, plus all the women he has been photographed with recently. Not saying he was about to get married, was the one that really hurt her and left her wondering if he was really in love with her. Since her return, she has taken over her mother’s florist shop and is also supposed to be doing the flowers for Kaci’s wedding. Not being at her sister’s wedding is out of the question, however much it might hurt her personally. She will have to get over the next few days and nights, then ignore him again. Except he isn’t really over her and they end up sitting next to each other at the rehearsal dinner, where he has invited a date to be with him, which is a bit embarrassing! All the other guests already had partners, being married or engaged, with only Elijah and Koren being single. Kaci tries to point out to Koren that she obviously still has feelings for Elijah and never got the closure she should have, when she left him behind. Lots of reminders of the places they had been together follow, as well as his help with flowers for the wedding, just like how they used to do deliveries together as teens.

Lots of lies were told by one party, in an effort to stop them getting married a year ago and now, the truth will slowly come out. Nothing is easy however, as trouble comes after Elijah and his place on the team, just as he tries to get Koren back. He will have to face the truth and all of its consequences, as everything comes out in the wash, but it also shows him who he can and can’t trust, which is a bitter pill to swallow! True love has a slight chance of a rematch, but changing circumstances will give them a tough path to follow. If their love is true enough, they will win in the end. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout, and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.

A quick read but one that you as a reader will enjoy and have fun with. One could say that this would be predictable but I would say what sweet romance isn't?? There were aspects of the story I didn't see coming and added some fun intrigue. Would I have loved a little more depth to the relationship considering their history? Sure. But to me, it did not take away from the overarching storyline. It is considered a novella so usually with those, it has to fit in with a certain number of words length.

Koren and Elijah are quite the pair. You can tell right off the bat that there was unfinished business/lack of closure and knew we would have it in with this couple. Their first interactions since they abruptly parted, were sweet and romantic, could still see their great chemistry, then as they continue to interact with one another, are funny with some mixed in drama. It is no romance story if they don't find their way back to each other and that is what we get with these two! I truly loved both of these characters but I admired Elijah's growth in maturity and recognizing his need to fight for their love and relationship. He was just the absolute sweetest. And Koren was fun - she is loyal to a fault and really does put other's before herself, especially her sister. Her little banter with Elijah made the timeline fun as you watch the two of them come back to each other.

I do like how Ms. Sterling connects her previous book characters into her new books. It always allows me as the reader to get little updates on my other favorite couples while enjoying the journey of the new one. I actually appreciated an additional lesson that was taught within the story -- the power of truth, and telling the truth, even if it comes later than it should.

I received an advanced copy of this book from Booksprout, and all my thoughts and opinions are entirely my own ;)

HOLY HOCKEY STICKS!! This was AMAZING!! I devoured this book. I was drawn in from the beginning and I didn't want this story to end. I had such a great time getting to know Elijah and Koren. I fell in LOVE with their story. As usual I loved having past characters back in this story as well and there was a lot of things happen to keep you on your toes in this book.

Elijah and Koren were childhood friends and then one day they finally became more! They decided to finally get married and have their happily ever after but of course things didn't go as planned. When she sees pictures of him with girls on social media and him not talking about their wedding that was coming up, Koren decides to leave on a internship the day of their wedding.

Elijah now an AHL Hockey star is living his dream but theres just one problem, his heart is still broken from Koren leaving him. A year later when they are paired up for a wedding as best man and maid of honor no one knows how this is going to turn out. When Koren finds out she is livid but as they step back into some old routines and he steps up to help her in times of need things start to change.

I had so much fun reading this book. I was swooning so hard with Elijah! He was just the sweetest and the love he held for her was beautiful. I was smiling through out this book and loved hearing the stories of how they fell in love with each other before she left. You will laugh out loud, swoon, smile like crazy, have some emotions, get upset a few times and in the end you will get the PERFECT ending!!! I always love how J.P. Sterling writes her books. Every time I read her books I can't put them down because you become glued to the pages. I HIGHLY recommend this book and anything she writes.

Thank you J.P. Sterling for allowing me to read this ARC for my honest opinion.

I am a sucker for hockey romance and second chances, so this was definitely a book I wanted to read! The story was cute and nice, a quick read as well. The storyline was a bit predictable, and I felt that the story was a bit too rushed as well - I really thought they were together (as a couple) for a long time before the fallout, and once they reconciled, it felt like things happened too quickly again.

I also felt that the storyline could have been longer and delved a bit deeper into some aspects of the story, such as the relationship between the MMC and his parents or the reasons behind their actions. While we were shown instances of the MCs together as kids, we weren't really told the actual timeline of their friendship and how it evolved (alternating timelines and going a bit into this would have made us connect emotionally with the characters more and understand them better), and the "fainting spells" were brought up abruptly but never really talked about properly. It was a bummer that the MMC didn't try to win her back, but at the same time, the FMC didn't try hard to communicate her worries better, and I really would have loved to not have the "miscommunication" playing a role in the fallout but then if it weren't for the case, then we wouldn't have gotten to read the book it is now, so I can let it slide.

I would have loved the storyline to be longer so I could get a chance to learn more and connect with the MCs; otherwise, it was a good read!

If you are looking to read a second-chance, hockey, friends-to-lovers, romance from the first-person POV of both the MCs, this is a quick read!

Till Sudden Death Do Us Part by J.P. Sterling is the story of Elijah and Koren (beautiful name). They are sweethearts, destined to marry, when Koren suddenly leaves Elijah on their wedding day with no reason whatsoever. When her sister gets married and she is the Maid of Honor and he is the Best Man, things get complicated.

This was such a lovely and sweet story to read. The prologue was a great find and there we got to know Bill Baker a bit more. I loved Koren from the very first: she is loyal, determined and lovely. She has been hurt by Elijah, but he has been hurt as well and neither knows really why. I had a feeling from the start where this story was going. Elijah is a great character, he loves to play hockey, but when he and Koren are getting a bit back together, someone is making sure that will not be the case.

The interactions between Koren and Elijah are first sweet and romantic, then they are funny and there is some drama, and then of course the romance blossoms again and that was really sweet. And I loved how Bill Baker got a bit more sympathetic, as he makes a grand move near the end of the book when it seems that things are going very wrong for Elijah.

Till Sudden Death Do Us Part is a bit different that the other J.P. Sterling books I have read. In those novels there is more humour and that was something I missed a little bit in this book. This book is more a romantic second chance at love novel, but that is okay too. I loved reading it and I cannot wait to read the next novel by J.P. Sterling.

As the girl who never had her name on anything... this story made me feel awesome. It was weirder than I expected to see my name in a book because it kind of felt like I was talking to myself. Ha! But I digress! A special thank you to JP for Koren, the little Easter eggs about me, and for making the story some of my favorite tropes. It's a dream come true!

I will always love a best friends or second chance romance, but smoosh them together... YES, please! I loved the way that Koren and Elijah were thrown together for a second time, but I would kill my own sibling if he did that to me. But the wedding earned Elijah two minutes to make his case and clear the air, and then it was back to business for these two. Those kissing scenes were 🔥. It's what you get when two people know each other well and have chemistry.

There is also some pretty hefty parental and hockey drama going on, and it was hard to tell what was going to work out and how. Truth will out, but it doesn't mean it is easy. Their story doesn't completely wrap up in a tidy bow, but it made it feel so realistic. This is a feel-good romance with a good dose of angst. It hit just right.

This was my favorite of JP's hockey series romances so far. I can't wait for the next story!

Thank you to JP for a copy of this story. All thoughts contained here are my own honest opinions.

A Charming and Speedy Power Play
J.P. Sterling delivers another nice read with "Till Sudden Death Do Us Part," a delightful installment in the Sweet Hockey Romcom series. The book features an interesting and heartwarming storyline centered around the two main characters, Koran and Elijah, whose connection keeps you turning the pages.
One of the best parts of this book is its brisk pace. It’s a wonderfully quick read that I was able to finish in less than two hours, making it the perfect escape for a cozy afternoon. The story is completely engaging and easy to get lost in.
While "Till Sudden Death Do Us Part" shines as a standalone novel that new readers can easily jump into, I agree that it's even more enjoyable if you've read the whole series. Returning fans will appreciate the familiar world and character cameos that enrich the story.
Overall, if you're looking for a sweet, low-angst sports romance with a compelling couple and a story you can devour in one sitting, this is the book for you. It’s another fantastic effort from this author!.

Since I liked reading books from this writer in the past I didn't say no to a chance to read this book. It didn't disappoint. It is a nice and easy read of a feelgood sport second chance romance.

Koren is back home for her sister's wedding after being in Paris for a year. She left on the day of her own wedding with Elijah. Thing is her sister forgot to tell Elijah is the best man of the groom.
This means they are seeing each other again after a year and that they need to talk to each other. Also about the past, especially since Elijah just discovers that the break up had something to do with his parents messing with them.
I totally don't understand how parents could do such a thing.

If they come back together and how? For that you have to read this book. You won't regret it if you like feelgood ice hockey romance. Only thing bad about the book? I wouldn't have minded that it had more pages.

Koren and Elijah . . .

Koren Roberts and Elijah Jonas had always been best friends growing up. So it was easy to fall in love and run off to get married once they graduated. But Koren saw photos appear on social media showing Elijah with other girls! And he didn’t scare them off by mentioning his wedding plans! So Koren walked away from him on their wedding day and left the country. They later ended up being best man and maid of honor when they returned home. Elijah is an AHL hockey player who still loves her. Will the two of them talk about what drove them apart? Is their former relationship worth saving? Are they ready to give their love another chance?

There is a great deal of emotion going on in the story and it definitely grabs the reader as we try to understand what happened and wonder if they will mature a little bit and try to get back together and give their love another chance. Grab your copy and see if they make the right decisions for their future.

Ooh, this started out with a lot of anger.
Elijah and Koren broke up a year ago. Well, really, Koren left without a word on what was supposed to be their wedding day. She hated him, but nothing was the same without her. When they saw each other again at their friends' wedding, Elijah knew he couldn't pass up the second chance he had been given. He had to get Koren back.
They reconnect and reminisce, but will what tore them apart before keep them apart now? When the truth comes out, will it be too much for their newly rekindled relationship to bear?
This was a good second chance story, with two people who always wanted to be together, even though others tried to break them apart. There was some drama with family and careers, and plenty of miscommunication. Sometimes you have to choose the family that will always have your back.

This fun book gets off to a roaring start, well more like a roaring of an engine, but you will see what I mean!

Elijah has recently acquired a fancy new set of wheels, much to his parents’ disapproval and his best friend’s, Koren, white knuckling!  This Mustang is everything to him, so when someone hits it within such a short window of owning it, panic sets in!  The accident while not ideal turns his life on its head.  The real story begins a year later when he’s the best man for one of his teammate’s weddings.

Koren was the girl that Elijah longed to have as more than a friend, but everything changed for her the day of his accident too!  One year later and the two aren’t exactly on speaking terms.  Now she must suck it up to be her sister’s maid of honor opposite him, oh boy!

This book has some unexpected twists I didn’t see coming.  Despite the protagonists’ discomfort in being around each other, I loved seeing the evolvement of what they were into what they have become!  I also loved seeing the cameos of past protagonists and getting closure on a rematch game that was promised from a previous story too!  While I knew this book was being billed as a second chance romance, I was pleasantly surprised how standoffish Koren was and that it took so much before she would even hear him out!  Elijah still came in clutch and this had one of the best endings!

This is a sweet second chance romance. Elijah and Koren have been best friends for years. When their relationship turns more romantic, they make a plan to elope before Koren goes to France for a year of floral school. On the day that they are to get married, Elijah discovers Koren has left for France without a word.
A year later, Koren returns home from France just in time for her sister’s wedding. When she finds out Elijah is a groomsman, because he’s best friends with the groom, Koren knows she has to put on a happy face for her sister, but it will be torture to be around the person that broke her heart. There’s a lot of drama that goes on but the sweet true love romance comes out as these two people fight for justice and their love. This is the clean wholesome romance. That is a feel good story. I didn’t love the ending, but I understand we will hear Bill’s story later.

This is the sweet and beautiful love story of best friends to more who have a second chance at forever. Elijah and Koren were going to get married but on the day of their wedding, Koren left for an internship after seeing pictures of and hearing Elijah not talk about their upcoming wedding. I'm not really a fan of the whole "never ask about or communicate," especially since the two were so close, but I can understand how in the heartache she just left. Years later they're back together and the chemistry is still burning bright and they're both heartbroken. They fight hard for a second chance and I loved seeing the story play out. Just the right amount of angst and drama, plus a few appearances by past characters, all wrapped up with a beautiful and well fought for HEA make this a great story.

This sweet second chance romance touched my heart. Koren and Elijah were best of friends then lovers on the brink of marriage before some careful manipulation broke them apart. Her sister’s wedding to his best friend brings them together again….as enemies not lovers. Yet, neither can deny the pull between them, the sparks or the love they still feel for the other, though they try their best to hide it. Elijah wants answers and Koren just wants him to disappear. Both are stubborn and determined to get their way, but her sister and a few others are willing to play matchmakers or perhaps devil’s advocates to get these two back together. Can they get past the hurt and the betrayal to reclaim their lives and build a future together?.

I am happy to recommend this sweet book.

Clean Hockey Romance

Clean: Kissing Only
Ends with a Happily Ever After (HEA)

What a wonderful second chance romance between the hometown florist Koren (FMC) and hockey winger Elijah (MMC) by J. P. Sterling!

This is an easy read with a beautiful story of how love (eventually) conquers all even through misunderstandings and other forces determined to pull them apart.

The flashbacks both characters had throughout really helped to enhance and fill out the love story - it showed the deep history and love between the two characters.

If you enjoy clean hockey romances with a beautiful love story and HEA, read this book - you won’t be disappointed!

Another hit by JP Sterling! The book takes you on a wild ride from the start when Elijah and Koren are in a car accident. However, this results in Elijah getting his big break with a professional hockey team. But it also ruins his relationship with Koren due to misunderstandings and meddling parents. When Koren returns to town for her sister’s wedding, she has no choice but to interact with Elijah. Will these two be able to handle seeing each other and work through their issues? This second chance at a relationship is just what these two need!

Elijah and Koren were great friends, they've known each other for years, she had the chance of an internship in Paris, and he had the opportunity to play professional hockey. Everything was decided and then there was interference, people started saying things, then implying something was going on.
A year later and Koren is back for her sister's wedding, to a hockey player, a team mate of Elijah. Can she face him? Will he have a chance to explain himself? Are things happening in the background?

This book absolutely did not disappoint! I'm a sucker for second chances so this was right up my alley. About a year after running away on what was supposed to be their wedding day Koren & Elijah are reunited as bridesmaid and groomsmen at her sister's wedding. Once they talk about what caused her to run and what led to their breakup can they find a way to work thru things? Feelings have never changed but can they win against the forces that don't want to see them together? Read this sweet story to find out if they're finally about to get their HEA. You won't be disappointed.

Another fun story about hockey, love, and surprises. The story begins with how Elijah got his chance to play literally because of an accident, his ruined new car, and girlfriend Koren. Fast forward a year and the wedding of a teammate to Korea's sister. Oh, it's also the reunion of Elijah and Koren after her leaving him on their planned wedding day.
Got to love a male main character who admits his errors and shortcomings, and tries to make things right with the girl he still wants to marry. A wonderful story with surprises along the way that made me read as quickly as possible to see how it all turns out.

This is such a fun filled story. Elijah and Koren were childhood friends and planned to get married until he didn’t mention in an interview as a new hockey player that he has a fiancée. A year later, when they are put together at a wedding as best man and maid of honor, she is not happy about it as all. I loved how much determination Elijah had in getting her to listen to his explanation, the banter between them is epic, the story is sweet and swoony. Such fun characters make this a fantastic quick read that will give you laughs and lots of smiles.

Koren’s maid of honor duties for her sister’s wedding become complicated when she reconnects with the best man who is her former childhood sweetheart and fiancé Elijah whom she ran from on the eve of their wedding. This is a delightful and fun second chance romance when the two eventually talk about the circumstances surrounding his hockey career and her leaving. The drama continues however as the past impacts on their present and future but working together this time helps. I really enjoyed this and the series has very likeable characters in the exciting world of ice hockey.

I love everything from JP Sterling. There are romcom moments. There are trauma moments. There are always a ton of just kisses, in your feelings, sweet and swoony moments as well. While a little cliche, the 2nd chance of romance while both are members of the wedding party is perfect.

They tried. She's a runaway bride. They were always in the wrong spot at the wrong time, listening to the wrong people. Once they clear the air, can their love prevail? It was a great quick read that I would always recommend, whether it be the beginning of hockey season or the end.

Who doesn’t love a second chance romance and a hockey romance, and this is both. It’s not too hockey heavy so if you’re not well versed in hockey you can definitely still read this!

This was a nice easy romance read, not in a bad way but in a you can just read and not have to think too much way.

The only thing I expected was that the gap/time they’d been away from each other would’ve been longer. Other than that it was an enjoyable book.

This was a great read about two young people, Koren and Elijah, who are best friends from Middle School and High School. Feelings develop as they face graduation that allow each character to admit their romantic attraction. Unfortunately things happen, misunderstanding occur with manipulating parents, and they become estranged. How they get back together is beautifully written and this book is a sweet read.

The fourth story in the Fast and the Flirty: A Novella Series. Koren Roberts and Elijah Jonas have not seen each other in a year ever since she walked away from their wedding because of a misunderstanding. They are now in the same wedding party and just might find out what really happened back then. They will have a lot to overcome because of someone causing trouble again for them. I enjoyed seeing them get their happy ending. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
