About the author

Anna Ioannidi is a Greek author whose work explored complex relationships, polyamory, morally gray characters, and LGBTQIA+ themes, often with dark humor and emotional intensity. Writing in her second language, she embraced imperfection and handled all aspects of her work except covers. She has now stepped away from writing and publishing, grateful for the journey and her readers.

The only thing I kept thinking from start to finish was:
“What on earth am I reading right now?”
(but in the best possible way 🤭)

One day, two unhinged and perfectly matched characters hit the streets, doing a bunch of totally unhinged things 🤪

I rarely recommend novellas because I almost never read them — but I’m so glad I read this one, and I totally recommend it!
If you’re looking for something short, fast-paced, and with characters that would make Joker & Harley Quinn proud, you’re in the right place.

🐾 I have to mention this:
1️⃣ There’s a dog named Joker (never thought of that — brilliant).
2️⃣ Finally, an interesting first meeting (yes, in a holding cell — enough with the clichés 🤭)

🔞 Heads-up: This is definitely a dark romance, so expect trigger warnings early on.

It’s like WTF did I just read, it’s a quick novella, like the title depicts it’s fast paced 🤣

Our MMC Ash, has a penchant for racing cars mostly not his own. Some would call it stealing but it is all legal just erring on the side of an illegal scam. Pinkie, real name Nova is just a girl who fights for her rights but keeps getting it wrong 😈or does she? I mean I am right there with her, who doesn’t like a lady who’s a little psychotic eh? Their love for danger takes them down a route there is no escape from.

Such a rapid read, driving its point across (ok, I will stop with the driving references 🤭). Anna has a way of writing that is exclusive to her, her descriptive prose comes across so well and I love that her women are strong, slightly unhinged. Her men are obsessive and slightly crazy 🤪

A dark romance set in the world of fast cars and souls fueled by adrenaline! To start with, yes the blurb for the book reeled me into curiosity, but the playlist page may have sealed the deal! The first book in the Nitro Tales series speeds off immediately! Ash, who finds that life behind the wheel is what grounds him, meets ‘Pinkie’ aka Nova during a race. Later, another run in has them both thinking it could be fate. Chaos ensues, and it’s glorious! The ending was, well you’ll have to read to find out.

This is a non-stop race from start to finish. As soon as Ash meets Nova there is instant chemistry followed by chaos. I can’t help but love their madcap fuelled energy. It goes from one scene to another quickly, but so much happens in such a short space of time. This might be a novella sized story, but it contains so much emotion, spice, and romance that I feel that it is much longer.
This is a fun-filled read, that is somehow zany, fun, and romantic, whilst being a totally engrossing read. 5 stars!

This book was a fast paced adventure of questionable decisions typically fueled by passion in true bonnie and Clyde fashion.

This book is a telling of one day of adventures and without spoiling a LOT happens and truly is what I'd say is an unforgettable night.

so if you want a quick read while deciding on a bigger read, I definitely recommend it.

This was absolutely hilarious, I loved it, it's a fun fueled ride, the name of the book is exactly what it is yes there's somethings that are a bit dark so check your trigger warnings but come on it's not like we all don't want to get revenge the way they do so yeah worth it 🤣

Wow this book i devoured. It has everything passion, action and adventure. Its a gripping read . I fell in love with both charters Nora and Asher . Noras temper has and does land her in trouble alot!! She reminds me of a younger version of myself . Asher is a bad boy you just love . I loved the story and how Nora and Ashers relationship evolves . I also love the front cover . I've loved all the art work used in all Anna's books they match the vibe of each book perfectly. Another 5 star read .

I was lucky enough to ARC read Adrenaline & Mayhem..
this book was right up my street combined with two of my greatest loves, dark romance and cars..
It was a fast paced novella, and didn't fail to pack a punch..
Loved Ash the MMC and Nova was just an unhinged FMC she was great..
It was a fun read and I gave it 4 ⭐'s

I'm fast becoming a big fan of Anna Ioannidi. This book is a story about a man named Ash and a woman named Pinkie and their fated meeting and their subsequent insanity. This was a shortie and full of drama, action, crazy antics in a fast car. If you liked the movie, Natural Born Killers, you'll like this book. As I was reading it, it gave me a big whiff of it. The book is dark, it's fast, it's spicy. Overall, a great fun read.

To start please check your trigger warnings as this book is very dark and not for everyone. Now my thoughts. This books was interesting in a good way thought. The dark humor between both the MMC and FMC had me smiling at times and the love between them is cute in their own way. If you like dark romance this is a great quick novella to add to your TBR.

Adrenaline and Mayhem indeed this book was . I didn't even realize when it started or when it ended. It took me on a feverish and crazy ride and the ending left me burned.
It was a short, unhinged and spicy novella.
Over the course of a day , a bunch of unhinged and questionable events happen following Nova (who let's be real , reached the limits of her mind and just flip the switch and took matters into her own hands) and Ash, both of whom give off a lot of The Joker and Harley Quinn vibes. Their craziness carried me away and the ending abruptly put a brake on my enthusiasm. I need the rest of their story asap , i don't believe it one bit this was the end of their story!

This is the third book I’ve read by this author, and I have to admit she captivated me once again. The writing is fast-paced and pulls you straight into the story, with a plot that unfolds quickly and characters who share an undeniable chemistry from the very first moment.

Fast cars, action, and adrenaline are at the core of this story. Add in witty dialogue, steamy scenes, and the wild intensity of the main characters, and you’ve got a book that keeps you turning the pages.
I truly enjoyed it and wholeheartedly recommend it—definitely 18+!
