An adorable, romantic, multicultural short story, only available through the author
Andrea is an Asian-Australian in her early 20s, and Jackson is a Euro-Australian of similar age. They have frequently seen each other at a local library in Somerville Downs, which appears to be a fictional area within the city of Perth. Jackson works at the front desk, and Andrea checks out piles of books every time she visits the library, but they have never spoken to each other. Until the day they rescue a lost puppy together outside the library, and they subsequently join together to find its owner.
This is a lovely short story with a very sweet, G-rated romance between two introverted, self-conscious, virginal protagonists. I liked both of them very much. The rescued puppy is extremely cute, and the multicultural elements are an added plus. Though the story is short, the arc of the romance and the HFN ending are quite satisfying.
Currently this story is not for sale through Amazon. I got it through the author after signing up for her newsletter.
This is a short story about a couple who meet over a lost dog. Having been humiliated by boys on several different occasions, can Andrea ever trust any male? When Jackson is chasing after a puppy and accidentally knocks Andrea down, he quickly explained he was after the puppy under the bushes. He introduced himself. Sweet characters and a nice little story.
Very cute short story!! There’s a lost puppy, cute guy who works at the library, a woman who loves to read… what’s not to love??! I really enjoyed this quick read!! Free from the author through her newsletter.
This is a short story that seems to be geared more for the younger crowd. I enjoyed it I received an advance review copy, ARC, for free and I am leaving an honest opinion and voluntary review
A fun bookish romance prologue/short story with highlights on anxiety, Malaysian heritage, and dogs. The full novel to come should be a nice thing to look forward to!
