Guarded Hearts #2

Branson's Promise: Illustrated Edition

Rate this book
Branson

My dad was my best friend.
He dreamed this big, adventure filled life for me. One I've been living every day. Finding someone to share it with led to a string of bad dates and a repeated broken heart. When a one night stand turned to more at the same time feelings started developing for my roommate, I thought I'd have to make a choice. When that turned out to not be the case and the three of us were happy together, I started to wonder if it was all too good to be true.

Noel

My dad was sick.
And I was a coward living on another continent too afraid to face his illness head on. I couldn’t keep hiding in the sand much longer though and falling in love made that so much harder to do. Because if I needed to leave, what would happen if they wouldn't follow?

Milo

My dad was a monster.
I’d spent years working to pull myself from under his thumb. I had a job and an apartment, and I was making my own way. I also had two amazing boyfriends. And a secret. And a deep fear that my past and insecurities would destroy us.

Branson's Promise is an MMM novel featuring a list-making, praise loving accountant, a tattoo artist with a big heart and a painful past and a hotel mogul with a desire to protect and take care of the men he loves, no matter what the cost.

One of those times I wish I just dnf’d but all those rave reviews kept me holding out. This was just meh for me but it does get the award for the most weirdly wholesome? water sports scene I’ve ever read.

Most of the relationship development is off page, the readers just get endless smut but the smut wasn’t smutting for me and I wasn’t a fan of all the daddy issues that are the main theme of this. My fault for not reading the blurb and just going off good reviews.

spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️.5/5
format: ebook

oh, i really loved this. the poly aspects of this book worked so well, and the chemistry between the three mc’s was off the charts. not the biggest fan of the conflict at the end and milo could be a little too self deprecating sometimes, but the vibes were vibing all throughout.

this is sweet, kinky, spicy, and hella cheesy but i truly just had the best time with this story.

Thank you to the author for an ARC of Branson’s Promise.

I’m just going to own up right here and admit I read some pretty kinky books so when I saw it was a triad with watersports I was immediately sold 😂

I have been really busy this month so not reading as quickly as I usually do but each time I came back to this the characters were all so distinct that you could just start where you left off. I really liked how each of the characters all had their own individual relationships within the triad and their own way of relating to each other.

The watersports was hot I’m ngl but for a VERY spicy book this was actually super wholesome. These 3 had a lot of love between them and it was easy to root for them.

If you enjoy reading poly/MMM books, give this one a go 😌

A Joyfully Jay review.

Branson’s Promise follows Wishes for August and Branson is August’s best friend who was introduced in the first book. There are some tie-ins and the timelines of the books do cross over in places, but if you wanted to start here you could.

This is a fairly easy story of three men creating their own relationship. They each fill a role in the relationship and they evolve almost effortlessly.

There is point of view from all three men, which flowed well and worked for me. A lot of the relationship is built on the physical intimacy between the men and there isn’t a whole lot of conversation about the long-term logistics of their relationship, but that worked for me here as well.

Read Michelle's review in its entirety here.

This was a nice read. Lots of sweet scenes, lovely smut 😆, real character development (go Milo!) and some actual realistic drama. Although Milo’s dad felt a bit over the top. I mean, I guess it’s possible for someone to blame their kid for not reacting adequately in an emergency, but actually telling that to your kid and totally ignoring them afterwards? Not sure if people actually do that. Especially in combination with completely destroying everything your late spouse owned. That felt really contradictory. I guess these mm books are almost never a great example for good parenting 😄

If this was my only issue, the book would have been 5 stars. Alas… it was not. The romance between Branson and Noel felt like fun (although the whole let me help you pee right after their bathroom hookup was weird and very sudden, especially because they never got back to it until months and very many sexual encounters further…)
The romance between Brandon and Milo also seemed lovely. A bit weird too but the chemistry was obviously there.

The romance between Noel and Milo? Not so much. It somehow seemed to come out of nowhere. Milo strongly dislikes Noel, Noel tells him it’s ok to be with Branson and within minutes of reading, they’re having a threesome and Milo falls in love with Noel too. And they introduce golden showers and they all find that very hot. If live would just be so easy…

The thing is, I kind of like the idea of mmm relationships because it feels like it’s just so much extra love to share. But in real life it’s never that easy I think that three people fall in love with both others at the same time. One of them might, but all three? And that’s ok, if there’s enough affection and the love grows. But in books by this author it somehow seems people always need to love each other an equal amount all at the same time otherwise it’s not good enough.

Love can have many forms and people can love more than one person and that’s ok. Even if it involves golden showers🤣 Sorry, don’t want to yuk their yum, but in this book it felt very forced, like they needed something kinky to complete the story. Spoiler alert: the book would have been fine without it. And without Brandon using Noel’s dick as a pacifier (“it was ok that they did that without Milo present because it wasn’t sexual.”) Again: if it makes them happy, fine by me. But by pressing it’s not sexual and it’s just really normal behavior… it felt like the author had some judgement and really didn’t want to show 🤣🤣🤣
For the next time dear author: either leave the little kinky nudges out, or embrace them and actually make them part of the story. That would make it so much better!

Very long story short: this book entertained me, and made me smile more than it made me cringe and I wanted to talk about it, so four stars it is!

Don’t think I need to reread, but I kind of recommend because these boys were lovely and the end is very cute.

ALL the stars and more!!
At seventeen Branson lost his beloved father, his best friend, before he died he made him a promise:
He would follow all his dreams. Live a life full of wonder and adventure. Fall in love and be happy.

At twenty-seven at his best friend’s wedding he’s the best man, and co best man is the very attractive Noel Bennett, a playboy. At the wedding, they have a quick f*ck, nothing unfamiliar for Branson.

Noel would love a different career, something impossible being the heir of a hotel mogul.
His future was already written for him at his birth thirty-seven years ago, now he’s running the Bennett Properties after his father had a heart attack.

Noel can’t get Branson out of his head, it was a quickie but dang!
Noel insists on a date, Branson wants something Noel surely can’t give him, he has to keep his distance.
While Noel is known as the rich playboy, he’s the one with all the feelings for Branson.

Twenty-four years old Milo finally has a place of his own to live, away from his abusive rich dad, his head is poisoned with his old man’s toxic words. Milo has low self-esteem and has to fight to keep his head up and live. Understand here, Milo hates money.
Okay, back to having his own place, his roommate is… Branson. A friendship develops.

Here crosses the paths of the three of them. And oh my goodness that’s just a fraction of what this story is about.
You think the three flew lovely in each other’s arms, forget it, more the opposite, in each other’s hair!
But watch them when they let go!

I can go on and on about this story, I utterly adored it. It’s an amazing and wonderful story, with many deeply emotional moments, and all perfectly balanced!
Their lives are beautifully exposed and entwined in this narrative. These three glorious men have a story to tell.
It was so so good, the energy between the three of them, so powerful, passionate, and for us readers palpable. Their sexual encounters were impressive and all super intense and sensual. Dang!

Do you want to know something else beautiful about this story? That same beloved father from my first line…? plays a big role here, even where he’s not physically present, my heart cracked and cracked, and my eyes blurred and dripped. I understand why Branson is such a beautiful soul.
It was an outstanding beautiful story ALL the stars and more.

Branson Taylor, was left heartbroken at the age of seventeen, when is father and favourite person died. His dad left him a letter, making Branson promise to live his life to the fullest and to love with all his heart.

Noel Bennett is a hotel mogul and following in his families footsteps, takes over at the helm. He meets Branson at August and Caleb’s wedding (Wishes for August). It is one hookup he cannot forget, and Branson is placed firmly in his mind and heart.

Milo Montague has not had the best upbringing, living with an abusive father who blames him for a death in the family. He vows to do what he wants on his own. He finally has enough money to move out into a place with his new roommate Branson. Milo has a very low self esteem after being berated by his father for so many year. Milo has a sister Mia, who he will protect until his dying breath.

Noel contacts Branson and takes him on a date, but Branson takes Milo with him as back up, the three of them never look back.

The natural progression of the three men together, is such a beautiful thing to read. It is so well written and flows easily. The descriptions of the main characters, as well as Mia are flawless.
There is some heartbreak along the way, but these men will make it work, no matter what.

This is the second book in C S Autumn’s Guarded Hearts series. I absolutely loved the first book, and the second is equally as good. I loved that August and Caleb played a part too.

“I’d give it all up for you,” Noel whispered. “Every last pound, every last dollar. I don’t need it but I do need you. Both of you”.

This is a steamy and heartwarming romance about three very different men just trying to find their missing piece.

Milo is the outcast. The starving artist with all of the trauma.
Branson is the bubbly, mug collecting, rugby playing accountant who figures out that 2 is better than 1.
Noel is the hotel tycoon who has never seen commitment.

They love so fully and completely that when things get rocky, they crumble.

I think the only reason this isn’t a 5 star for me is because Milo never felt like an actual part of the throuple. I kept waiting for it to click but I just didn’t buy it. It really hurt my heart because he needed that. 😔

As with Wishes for August, I loved this book! We met both Noel and Branson in August and Caleb’s story, and I knew then I would want to know more about both of them.

The addition of Milo only added to their story, and he truly was the one the story was about, I felt. Despite being about Branson’s promises to his father, I think a lot of the growth and character development revolved around Milo.

All three of them had to work together in order for their partnership to thrive.

This is new for me author and it did not disappoint. Branson's Promise is such a special story and I loved 99.9% of it 💘

Branson's promise is about a boy keeping his promise to his father who passed away when he was a child. Branson has lived his life following all of his fathers wants and wishes for him and his future. Branson has been very lucky and happy in life but not so lucky in love. He's looking for the one. The man of his dreams.... but then the universe brings him two amazing men... Noel and Milo 💜

This is a super sweet and sexy 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 story about three men falling in love and working through their demons to make their relationship work!! I love this beautiful amazing story and was so happy to have been able to read and review it.

I kept going back and forth on my rating for this one. Overall, I enjoyed it, but there were a few things that didn't quite click for me.

I liked the relationship when it came in and the spicy scenes were spicin', but I felt like the relationship between the three of them started too soon and we didn't see the build up of them getting to know each other and their connection actually building. All of that was seemingly done off page unfortunately.

For someone that enjoyed the spice, I actually got a little tired of ALL the spicy scenes and ended up skimming the last few.

Well that was very hot but also so very sweet at the same time!

We follow Milo, Branson and Noel as they learn to trust and love each other.

These three men have trouble past but also goals for the futur. Branson made a promise to his father before his death: to be happy. And he sets his mind to reach to happiness, and turns out this happiness has two names: Milo, his new roommate, and Noel, a one night hookup.

This book has some insta love vibes, these three falling very fast for each other but it didn’t bother me at all. It’s also an insta lust between all three, Branson and Noel having already hooked up. And when Milo catches and watches them, it becomes clear they all want more.

This book deals with some heavy subject too (trigger for violence and parent’s death). I teared up at the end (you’ll have to see why by yourself when you read it).

I never expected to read a book with a watersport link before and somehow it was alright, not something I enjoyed but it went with the flow of the smut scene.

Loved loved loved the two epilogues 🤍🤍

**4.5**
What an unexpectedly wonderful romance. I haven't read this author before but I definitely want to go back and read the first of this series.
Each MC of this book - Branson, Noel and Milo - have their own issues, whether from past trauma, current events, or family drama. What makes this story so good is how each character works at bringing out the best in each other, knowingly or not. There is amazing chemistry and I love how things are slowly built, especially allowing Milo to go at his own pace, which would be necessary with anyone else, let alone a relationship with two people. Scenes are crazy hot between them and I loved reading all parts of their story.
A highly recommended MMM romance that has a strong hurt/comfort element. I can't wait to read more from this author.
**There are trigger warnings to read, please take care and read these to ensure that this book is ok for you to enjoy**

It took me forever to finish it. It started well, enemies to lovers / stalking. This was insta everything. Insta lust insta love, insta resolution … the light kinks were fun.

We had so many things for this to work but I couldn’t get into it

Characters 3/5
Story 1/5
Spice 2,5/5 cock warming, water sports, vers but again it felt rushed or not explored enough

This being my first C.S. Autumn book is safe to say I didn't know what to expect. I went into it blindly and hoped for the best... and I got it.

This story is surprisingly spicy, but also very sweet. You could just tell that each smut scene was written to show the love these characters have in their hearts for each other. It wasn't smut just for the sake of having it, or at least that's how I felt.

Branson, Milo & Noel were made for each other. There's no other way to describe their connection.

Keep in mind that this book is kind of instal-love and and we have smut from the beginning. Oh... and watersports. Tbf, that watersports scene was so wholesome, wth? How is that even possible?! If you don't enjoy these things, maybe this book is not for you... and that's ok.

Branson and Noel met, and after sharing one night of passion, they just couldn't forget each other even months later. What started as a quick F became their forever. What neither one of them expected was Milo. He came into their lives while Branson and Noel were reconnecting and just starting their relationship, so we can say it's an established couple but not really at the same time. Their connection formed fast, and they grew into this relationship together, which was beautiful to witness.

We have some kin_ks in this book that we're interesting, and tbh I do not see them enough in books, and definitely not together, but it worked so well for them. Filthy but sweet at the same time. The perfect combo.

Each character had their own trauma they needed to go through, and it was nice to see how the others were just there to support them when needed. This is what a relationship is about, and yeah, they acted from day one as this relationship was endgame, and I love them for it. They were afraid, they had doubts, but somehow, in the back of their heads, they knew the 3 of them belonged together. Thank you!

I am a bit sad that sometimes I felt like some of the characters' development happened off page, but in the end it didn't ruin the story for me because I felt like I got enough even as it was. It's just a personal preference that I wanted a bit more. That's just on me, and clearly not enough to make me rate this book poorly.

When I finished the book, I felt like I wanted more or needed more of them somehow. I just loved reading about them. Me reading this in one sitting is a testament to this statement.

I loved how we followed Branson's dad's letter that had his final wishes for his dead son, because that way we got to see the impact of a good male role model in a man's life. How having that shapes the great man a son can become with love and acceptance. We also had this opposite in Milo's dad, and I think this made that detail stand out even more for me. The way we could see the outcome of two different upbringing.

I loved this story, absolutely loved it, and I'll have to go back and read August's story as well, but I'm glad I got to read about Branson, Milo and Noel and witness their love. They truly are sweet as candy.

This was a beautiful book that spoke to me in so many ways. The prologue was a heavy way to start the book. I cried as I remembered my own father’s fight against cancer and the devastation I felt watching his decline and his death. The memories were hard, but hopeful, too. I didn’t have a letter, but I had my memories of my rock, always loving and supporting me, and that is enough. Years later, I watched my husband’s decline and eventual death, and as I read more of this book, I came across a quote about grief which resonated with me.
“There was no right or wrong way to grieve — the heart and soul did what it could to get by without that missing piece.”
I had my missing pieces, but my heart and soul did get by. I also identified with Branson and the tattoo to remember and honor his father. I got one for my husband four years after he passed, to acknowledge I could live without that missing piece, so this book had another connection with me.

This characters in the story have missing pieces, but there are messages of hope, too. Branson was so discouraged, he couldn’t find someone to love who wanted him, who felt he was enough, until he met Noel. Noel never found someone he felt a connection to and wanted a relationship with, until he met Branson. And Milo was so damaged from his father’s verbal and physical abuse, he felt unlovable and unworthy of love, until he met Branson and Noel. These three found each other, claimed each other and made it work. As often happens in life, road blocks appear, but they were able to realize what they could lose, and were able to get to their HEA.

The book is emotional, the sexual encounters between the three MCs are steamy and hot, there are uplifting times like the three special dates, there is caring and sharing and protecting and loving surrounding these three men, creating a bond that creates a home. If the triggers don’t get to you, I would recommend this book, it left me with a warm, loving feeling.

I received a ARC of this book and this is my honest and voluntary review.

This was my first C.S. Autumn book and I'll be back for more!!!

I feel like it's not easy to write and MMM romance that feels balanced in all it's aspects, but the author really nailed it! Branson, Milo and Noel are so perfect together and you can feel from the start that they belong together. The tension at the start was really good, so good in fact that I couldn't put the book down.

The start of the book is somewhat emotional, but I felt like it was the perfect way to start it off. We got to know what shaped Branson and his way of life and I loved that. With Milo we only presumed what his trauma was involving his dad and it took a while for him to open up, but when he did his men were there for him and I loved that. We knew of Noel's dad's condition but we didn't know how fragile he was until closer to the end, and that caused some tension between them, but they overcame it as a unit.

I loved their banter and humour too. I loved that Branson wanted to be treasured and Noel and Milo did that so naturally. Noel is a caretaker and I loved seeing him in caretaker mode. Milo for me was kind of the wildcard, I felt like he could be different things to his men. For Branson he could be a partner in mischief and for Noel I felt like he could be a grounding presence and a caretaker for when he needed it and someone to whom he could give up control when he needed it.

The pacing of the story was really good and there was a great balance between plot and spice. The spice is great and the scenes are varied.
I loved how they overcame their differences and had a bunch of important and honest conversations early on. I also loved how they made sure that everyone felt appreciated in the relationship and i really enjoyed their different dynamics.

If you want to dip your toes into MMM with some hurt/comfort, found family and heaps of praise then this is the book for you!

💙🔥Branson’s Promise // C.S. Autumn
Series: Guarded Hearts 2 (Can definitely be read standalone) 🔥💙

Wow! I am blown away!

Branson’s promise is a high heat, high heart MMM romance with a sweet and sassy accountant- Branson-, his jaded broken boy roommate-Milo-, and wealthy former playboy- Noel-. I was expecting a fun MMM with some Shmink, and got so much more! This is a truly beautiful book. The writing is effortless and the book flows flawlessly. It’s over 300 pages but never felt boring or monotonous! Instead, blending emotion, high heat, and authentic storytelling in a way that I could not stop reading!

The emotion! This book brought emotion throughout with parallel storylines showcasing different experiences of grief from each character. It was a beautiful and emotional way to show each character’s similarities and differences. They have all experienced grief and struggle but in such different ways and have a beautiful empathy for each other.

The heat! This is that top tier high heat. The smut in this book is woven so well into the story and the characters while still being incredibly hot and PACK FULL OF SHMINK! ( check those tags and thank me later)

Highly recommend this beautiful book from a new to me author, for emotional, beautiful love, and shminky shminky high heat *chefs kiss*!

———

I can’t even believe how amazing this book truly was. I started it this morning and finished it in one day. I just couldn’t put this book down. I have to say poly romances are my favorite couples to read and C.S. Autumn did not disappoint me.

Branson, Milo and Noel were everything to me. I loved that we got to see the letter at the end of the book.

I felt so bad for Milo because he had been so hurt by his father and just was abused mentally, physically and emotionally by his sperm donor. And man, when Noel got so protective over Milo, that was so hot by how he told his father he wanted nothing to do with him or his business ever again.

And oh my god, the ending broke me. When Branson got in that accident after finding out Noel kept his secret or that Milo was not going to come, I about died. Thank goodness for Mia because she finally knocked some sense into her brother telling him he was stupid because c’mon, he was.

This whole story had me captured from the moment Milo walked in on Noel and Branson and Branson told him to not go. Ugh, I just wanted more from these three. And the spicy scenes were so good and they weren’t rushed. I loved the intimacy between all three of them. I absolutely loved how Noel and Milo were most of all but Branson was so cute and I loved how Noel wanted to spoil them both.

I received a copy of this audiobook from Gay Romance Reviews, and this is my honest review.

🏵 I would follow you to the ends of the earth, would you follow me too? 🌺

"Take chances. Some risks are worth it. If you fall, get back up again, but don't forget what made you trip. Learn from it then move on."

"Choices are hard. Sometimes you make the right ones, sometimes you don't. And sometimes you won't know either way."

"Trust your heart. It's a very wise organ and not as fragile as you'd think."

"Forge your own path. Write your own story."

This was an amazing emotional read. Everything I have read by CS Autumn has been phenomenal. The flow of the story, the development of the characters, and the flow of the relationship/POVs were spot on and perfect. This book had me on an emotional rollercoaster. The prologue made me cry and hit me in the feels 😭. One of my favorite parts of this book was the letter from Branson's dad. I loved how Bran took that to heart and made the most of his life with the promise to his father.

I loved all three characters equally. They each had some trauma/grief they were dealing with. Branson with the loss of his father, Noel with his father being sick, and Milo with his father being abusive. My heart broke for poor Milo. That boy had a lot of trauma and repressed feelings. These 3 men completed each other. They healed each other. They all grew into the best versions of themselves with each other. I loved how protective and caring Noel was to both of his men and Mia. I loved the animosity and sparks between Noel and Milo 🥵😏. The spice in this was spicin and the dirty talk was 🔥🔥🔥🔥. Seeing cameos from August and Caleb was everything! Such a good series. I hope to get more from this author 😍

So I’ve read a few MMM titles, and I’m a tough critic because I want to feel the connection between each character is deep and equal. My gold standard is Teach Me to Sin by the remarkable @rileynashbooks because you could fell the pull each man felt for the other, and how they filled a need with each other. So it’s interesting that I had two MMM titles on my TBR, both of which were amazing!
Branson’s Promise by C.S. Autumn is her sophomore effort, and it's a complex, beautifully realized story of three very different men who are perfect for each other. Brandon and Noel have an immediate, intense physical connection, while Branson and Milo follow a friend/roommates to lovers path.
How and when they become three is tender, thoughtful, and oh-so-sexy.
One American, two Brits, finding love in America.
Caleb is the billionaire scion of a hotel empire, Branson an accountant on temporary assignment in America, and Milo, a son of privilege rejected by his family, working as a tattoo artist and desperate to save his sister from the same fate as him.
I loved Branson and his big, open heart. His taking the time to remind Milo how wanted he was, well that was everything.
This story is raw, heart-breaking, and hopeful. If you don’t tear up a bit at the end, I don’t know what to say. After the emotional rollercoaster they go through, I wept cathartic tears as these lovely men find their hard-fought HEA.
The secondary characters are incredible. Mia, Milo’s straight-talking sister with a take-no-prisoners attitude is a riot. And it was awesome to see August and Caleb again, continuing to live their own HEA.
A beautiful read. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2

I'm going with the five stars here. I'm thinking truly it was a 4.5 stars. But you know these services won't give you half. So I am that reader who's rounding up instead of down.
This author has amazing talent. She wrote a throuple and gave them fantastic views on their authentic selves. That's hard. And she wrote in her British writing. Taking place in NYC. And one of the three was an American. Two British and one American. I gotta say that's one complicated book to write. Especially giving them their true authentic personalities.

Now this is no fault of the author because book readers of today like the smutty stuff. Me not as much. I found myself skipping over the intense sexual writing. Especially the water sports. I found it's not my thing. So if you enjoy the sexual writing this is a fantastic read. And she did give this book the romance that my romantic heart needed. But as I said I dont fault the author on my preferences as she is a fantastic author.

My pet peeve is a author not from NYC writing a book taking place there. I found she did a great job researching the life of the city resident. Although I found a few flaws I can look past it. I'm a nyorker so I am a little critical. But overall it was a decent representation of the life of a NYC resident.

Thank you for reading my rambling. I wanted to share my true thoughts on this book.

Character Development: 3.5/5
Plot: 3/5
Writing Style: 3/5
Spice Level: 3.5/5
Overall Rating: 3.9/5

Overall, this was a good additional to the Guarded Hearts series. This book can be read as a standalone but is best read in order as to not ruin the story of the previous MC characters book. This book may have been named Branson's Promise but it definitely was Milo's book as much as it was Branson's. While I loved learning more about Branson and Milo wish there was more depth to Noel. However, this was not bad for C.S Autumn's 2nd novel. It was definitely a good tribute to Branson, finally finding his true loves.

Noel, hotel mogul and Branson’s one night stand at his best friend’s wedding. It wasn’t as if he couldn’t get Branson out of his mind, because everyone knows wedding sex doesn’t count. Too bad his brain hadn’t got that message.
Milo is finally out from under his fathers iron fist. Ready to begin his tattooing career. He is very surprised when he meets his new roommate Branson. Especially when he finds Branson’s lacy undies in the clean laundry.
Branson promised his dying father that he would live life to the fullest and find the right person for himself. He hadn’t lied. Life just wasn’t cooperating.

Branson is a sweetie. Noel didn’t come across as a rich man and was very down to earth. Even though the title has Branson’s name I think it was Milo’s book. I felt their relationship revolved around him. His insecurities made him relatable and his vulnerability made him special.

Some obligatory drama, lots of scalding hot times, sweet dates, and a growing menagerie made this a well rounded story.

I thought the author did a decent job with the triad aspect. It helped that the different connections were formed at basically the same time. I liked that aspect. I also liked this MMM story.

ARC

Do you want a book that will have you absolutely sobbing, ugly crying and clenching your hands to your chest right from the prologue? Well… here you have it!
I was not expecting that letter to wreck me the way it did but alas… I was a mess🤷🏼‍♀️

Bran, Milo and Noel to me felt like the most precious and sweet lost puppies ever, all throughout the story. They feel like lost pieces of a puzzle that is just desperate to find its way back together🧩 and everything here was really a journey… but it also felt real and relatable somehow, with struggles that could actually be normal and completely understandable.

I felt the pain Milo was going through and I understood the struggles with Noel’s situation but most of all, I could absolutely relate to the feelings Bran was going through and his need and desire to just be happy… to find happiness and peace.
And dad’s letter? Yeah, the biggest and fattest tears that have ever come out of my eyes have made their appearance more than once.

This was a beautifully sweet story that also made me a little jealous, cause who wouldn’t like a relationship like theirs???

“P.S. I hope you find someone to buy you all the mugs in the world.”

Branson’s Promise is the story of Branson, Noel and Milo. Branson lost his father at a young age and has lived his life trying to live up to the memory of his father and honor his father’s wishes left in a letter before he passed. Noel is a wealthy business owner who molded his life to his father’s plan and is now avoiding facing the illness that will take his father. Milo has had a contentious relationship with father since the loss of his mother, in which his father blames Milo and abuses him physically and emotionally. The three of them coming together and building a long-lasting relationship allows them each to have the support they need to heal the hurts they have with their individual fathers. I loved the characters in this story. Each of the men had distinct personalities and the chapters rotated between each POV to give a good insight to each of them individually as well as their feelings about the others and their relationship. I also really liked how each of Branson’s chapters begins with a short excerpt from his letter which was a nice callback to the title of the book. The book was very spicy and featured a little bit of daddy kink and watersports. I personally am not a fan of watersports but the inclusion in the story didn’t bother me. Overall this was a great book and one I definitely recommend.
