Clear Blue Sky

Respect all, fear none is the Rebel Riders Motorcycle Club’s motto. Will the Riders step up

when the Demon Outlaws go after one of their own?

Sky Warren doesn’t let the screen door smack him on the way out of Kansas. When his former

abusive partner Duke is arrested for selling drugs, Sky takes off. He’s ready for a clean start and a

change of scenery. Moving to Lakewood, Colorado, with his cousin and accepting a job in Billy’s bike

shop seems like just what he needs to start over. In Billy’s riding club he meets Task Rivers, a

handsome, sexy biker, and they hit it off immediately. Task is edgy, yet he shows Sky how a

respectful and considerate man treats his partner. The two fall into a lusty, passionate

relationship.

Death before dishonor. The Demon Outlaws have another way of looking at life. When Duke

Lessing comes after Sky and is rebuffed, he joins the Outlaws in their troublemaking ways. With the

Demons spoiling for a fight, Task calls on a few of the more hardcore Rebel Riders. As the night heats

up, Sky is determined to avoid what seems like inevitable bloodshed. He wants to leave and lure the

Demons away, but Task and the Rebel Riders have other ideas. Sky knows Duke doesn’t give up

easily and learns that neither does Task, who’s fighting for what he wants. But will it be a fight to the

death?

This was a surprisingly sweet story hidden inside a rough and tough exterior. I liked it!

I really loved Sky’s determination and grit in getting out of an abusive relationship. It was a very

sexy read and definitely a ‘lust at first sight’ sort of story. It was an enjoyable story.

Jenna Byrnes could use more cabinet space and more hours in a day. She'd fill the kitchen with

gadgets her husband purchases off TV and let him cook for her to his heart's content. She'd breeze

through the days adding hours of sleep, and more time for writing the hot, erotic romance she loves

to read.

Jenna thinks everyone deserves a happy ending, and loves to provide as many of those as

possible to her gay, lesbian and hetero characters. Her favourite quote, from a pro-gay billboard, is

"Be careful who you hate. It may be someone you love."

Months after leaving his ex and the abuse behind, Sky still has nightmares remembering Duke telling him "No one will ever love you as much as I do." Yeah, Duke "loved" him so much he took domestic violence to a whole new level, and, one night, he broke Sky's shoulder. Duke is in prison, but Sky can't forget, or let it go. He has moved to Colorado now, and is living with his cousin, who also helped him get a job at a bike shop. It's Billy who encourages Sky to take a weekend ride with his bike club, the Rebel Riders MC, and where Sky meets Task. It is, most definitely, lust at first sight between the two men.

Sky is the happiest he's ever been with Task. It doesn't take long before they've fallen in love. Unfortunately, Sky finds out Duke got out of jail on a technicality, and he's looking for Sky. It's time for Sky to trust in Task, and the man he is, and share his secrets. And it's way past time for Sky to get rid of his past, and look toward his future. There's only one thing standing in his way, and Sky needs to deal with Duke, and be done with him.

A good beginning to the anthology, 'Clear Blue Sky' showed what you can accomplish when you trust in the one you love, and when you learn to forgive yourself for past decisions. I really liked Sky and Task, and the story was a sexy read. Thank you, Jenna.

Interestingly quick read

Felt a bit rushed in places, fast build, conveniently easy outcome with sky's ex, abrupt ending and thoughts and dialogue that at times made me question whether it had actually come from a grown man. It's not a keeper but was an okay way to kill time while making dinner.

2.5 stars--A very mediocre read. I generally like biker stories but this one just didn't do anything for me.

I would have liked a little more store and a little more depth for the characters but it was only a short story and I did enjoy it.

Good short story

Nice short story. Good characters, wish it had been a longer read. Hopefully, there will be a sequel! I like a good MC story!

Really liked this one, but left so many things left unanswered. Would have like to see story wrapped up better or another book with the same set of characters to continue the story.

I didn't care for this as much as Jenna's Kansas City series. I didn't care for Task at all and Sky wasn't much better :(
