Amy Wilde is a born again good girl with a wild side. After spending the last six years getting her life back on track, going to nursing school and repairing the broken trust between her and her family, Amy puts all her hard work in jeopardy when she foolishly, and secretly, falls for the same ex that nearly destroyed her life once before. But now her ex is dead, her secrets out and a crazy stalker is determined to make her pay for a crime she didn't commit. That's where Max comes in. Burnt out and ready for a break, the last thing P.I Max Cranston wants to do is take on another case. Until he meets his new assignment, that is. Despite her current troubles, Amy is bright, beautiful, sexy and completely charming. The more time he spends with this spitfire bombshell, the more tempted he is to do more than protect her. Kidnappings, shootings, life-altering moments, hot investigators and naughty nurses, all work together to make this first book in the new Cranston Series one to remember.
Being an author was always a dream of mine, one that seemed far reaching and unattainable, and then one day I decided to shoot for the stars and I'm glad I did. I have discovered things about myself during this process and absolutely love what I do. I get to share my stories and pieces of myself with people across the world and I couldn't be happier. When I'm not writing, you can find me playing accountant at my day job and being a part time massage therapist on nights and weekends. That is, of course, when I'm not toting one or all of my three kids off to one activity/sport or another. It's a crazy life, for an even crazier girl, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Except, maybe, to find a few extra hours of reading time. Because we all know: Smut time is the best time!
This book was so good! It was a intermittent fast burn that I personally like. I think the right amount of spice with plot was great. Max is definitely a golden retriever and I loved how fast they both accepted the feelings they both had. such a breath of fresh air.
I love Morgan's book. She tells the story in a way that make it possible to imagine ourselves in the characters shoes. This book is a story that I'm sure a lot of women can relate to. I recommend this as a must read for any women who's been betrayed and fought back to heal her broken heart and open herself up to new possibilities.
Not what I expected. A bit of a letdown. The previous book (Cooper and Victoria) was the best. This book lacked the involvement of supporting characters from other books in this series. Felt this book was an after thought that did not quite fit in the series. Yet the author did a great job introducing Amy in the last book
It took me a while to write this review, because I just had to find the right words. But even after a whole week of thinking, I still couldn't come up with the right ones to express just how much I loved this book. It was perfect, and words are nothing compared to the feeling you get while actually reading the story. You will not be disappointed if you pick up this amazing series.
I really enjoyed this last book in the Spring Towers collection. I loved the romance of it all but I also loved the suspense and trying to figure out who was after Amy. Would definitely recommend. Can't wait until Morgan comes out with her next book.
This is the perfect book to complete the spring towers series! I couldn't put it down, it was such a beautiful love story, well written and very suspenseful all at the same time!
The Scottish inaccuracies caught my eye and it needs some fine tuning in the editing department. Not my favourite of the series but still a pretty good read.
