once again, here i am crying over fictional characters. it was no surprise that i was going to devour this book, everything aubrey writes, i’m a huge sucker for. i was obsessed with silas and drew from the very beginning, but i also fell in love with auggie. he’s such a little momma’s boy 🥹

i loved getting back into this world with these characters. they’re genuinely one of my favorite group of characters to date, the found family is soooo good.

silas and drew might just be in the running for my top favorite hornet couple. they worked so well together and silas has the dirtiest mouth, i was jaw dropped and silently screaming into my pillow for a good chunk of this book. but he was also making me CRY during the last few chapters. he’s a two in one special 😌

as always, thank you to aubrey and her team for sending me an e-arc, i will forever love your brain 🤍

“i would show her one day at a time that she deserved the world, even if it meant fighting against her intrusive thoughts every step of the way. drew was worth it.”

there isn’t a series in existence that has broken my heart and healed it all in the span of a few hundred pages, yet aubrey’s books hold this type of power. each book that she writes never fails to bring me a perverse amount of joy and a sense of sadness that can only be healed by the characters within the pages of her work.

drew and silas are two people that appear as though they shouldn’t work together, but they absolutely do. they both healed different parts of each other throughout the duration of their story, and i’ve never read a group of couples that complement each other so well before i read the hornets series. aubrey takes fictitious characters and gives them real-world problems that are written in such a way that it feels like you’re the one experiencing these things, or you’re watching them play out in your mind.

silas’s connection with drew’s son was something that nearly brought me to tears, especially when he told him that he wanted to make his mom happy enough to sing in the shower. this line, though it seems inconsequential next to others, meant so much to me. there is genuine joy in finding happiness in another person that it makes you want to sing in the shower, which is such a small thing, but the small things make up the big things, and i know how special that is.

drew was such a strong character, even when i could tell she didn’t feel strong enough for herself or for her son. i could feel her happiness, her sadness, her joy, and heartbrokenness throughout the entire book, and i cannot tell you how many times i mentally screamed at both her and silas to get over themselves and make it real. both drew and silas proved to each other that they were worth the fight, the tears, and the stress of what they were going through to achieve their goals. and i adore the fact that they were careful with each other, but not too careful.

once again, thank you so very much to aubrey for the beautiful arc, i cannot wait for what comes next <3

4.5 STARS! <3

This couple has a piece of my <3 and I'm unwell! First, this was my first Aubrey Taylor book and I don't know why I had not devoured this series already as it has so many things I love, including being surrounded by baseball! So, did I immediately go back and download the first 3 books which I will be reading ASAP? Yes, yes I did.

Drew is one of the FMC's I've related to deeply and the similarities made me feel both seen and compassionate to everything she goes through (including how your mind can be overwhelmingly destructive). The way this was written felt so real and raw and beautiful... Also, as a single mom myself, the inner dialogue about trying to figure out how to be a good mom while going through so much internal strife is so real, I can't explain how accurate this felt to me. Her journey is incredible, especially when you see that fight in her come through.

Oh Silas, what a great pairing for Drew. He had just as much going on to work through and I felt like him figuring out where he fit both for his extended family, his relationship with Drew (and Auggie), and his personal path was incredible. I loved his relationships with everyone around him and how everyone kept calling him out on his shit. Bonus: "Red" hating him was very funny to me and loved those little callouts. IYKYK

Overall, this had the right amount of character driven plot, romance, steamy / spicy scenes, and humor that had me obsessed with this book and Aubrey's writing. 200% would recommend.

Tropes I LOVED:
- Baseball players / team dynamics
- Single Mom
- Fake dating / engagement
- Mental Health Rep (anxiety, PPD)

Thank you to Aubrey Taylor for the eARC in exchange for my honest review!

Here we are at the 4th book of the Hornets Nest series and I cannot believe it 🥹❤️🐝 At this point, Aubrey could write a how-to on playing baseball and I will gobble it up.

Throughout the series, Silas has been a steadfast and pivotal fixture in the Hornets dynamics. From the POV of the other characters in previous books, Silas has consistently been the one to provide sage wisdom and be a reliable friend/brother/teammate to lean on when things were falling apart.

What I loved most about True Honey is that we the reader are finally seeing everything from Silas’s POV and how in reality, Silas, has been trying to keep everything and everyone around him safe and happy, but at the expense of himself.

Cue Drew. She comes into Silas’s story in a not so conventional way aka fake marriage arrangement , and quickly becomes someone that helps Silas see that it’s okay to be selfish and that she can be the one to help him carry the load. Even though she herself is struggling with her own mental health and fighting the heaviness of postpartum depression while at the same time being a mom to a teenager.

True Honey humanized Silas for me and showed me that he is just out here trying his best like the rest of us, and doesn’t want to let anyone down. It also reminded me that it’s okay to be selfish, especially when it’s for the betterment of your own mental health and it’s also okay to let ppl love and care for you regardless if you don’t feel worthy. Both Silas and Drew were able to heal each other’s demons and find stability and trust in one another. It was so beautiful to see him get his HEA.

And ALSO the animal that is Silas ❤️‍🔥 I was not aware of his extracurricular activities (IYKYK) before this book but damn let’s just say this man has stamina and is not afraid to use it 🥵
I will also be needing a visual of Silas riding his motorcycle shirtless, tysm. 😮‍💨

Honestly True Honey gave me everything I know and love about the Hornets - it gave me found family moments, Cael’s chaos, Ella’s tough love, Arlo and Silas bickering. It was coming back home to the Nest and me never wanting to leave again. I loved every minute of it.

Thank you again to Aubrey for the eARC, I loved every second being back in Harbor! Two fingers to the chest ❤️🐝

“Be kind to yourself. Being a human being is tough.”

ARC Read

Thoughts: Aubrey Taylor has this rare gift for writing stories that feel both beautifully tender and rawly real. She knows how to balance spice with genuine character growth, and True Honey is another perfect example. Every emotion, every struggle, and every quiet win feels authentic to the characters and their age. The way the storylines intersect without losing their individuality makes her work stand out, and it’s precisely why I keep coming back for more.

Favourite Moment: When she was spiralling, and he communicated. It was such a refreshing change from the unnecessary “third-act breakup” so many romances rely on. Instead, Aubrey showed how characters with maturity and experience can navigate the unknown with grace and honesty. It made the relationship feel that much more powerful.

Notes: Honestly, this whole series could be adapted into a TV show—the emotional arcs and interwoven stories would translate so well on screen. I cannot wait for the next one. Aubrey is a powerhouse, consistently delivering one masterpiece after another.

True Honey carries a lot of emotions and strength hand in hand, and what really got to me is that being selfish isn’t something to be scared or ashamed of especially when it comes to benefit your own mental health. Silas carries a lot on his shoulders as a friend, brother and teammate. He’s such a big part of holding the Nest together with his massive heart and his wisdom. This man is so caring that he forgets that he needs to care about himself to be able to give in the long run , and it’s a incredible win to see Silas and Drew fight for each other to get through the dark that’s weighting on them. They’re so steady together 🤍

A moment for the animal that Silas really is?! Good job in hiding it, little trickster, he’s a walking flammable sign 🔥

Drew is a ROCK. With being a mom to a teenage boy and postpartum depression on her back, she’s doing more than her best. She’s a real fighter. Even though she feels like the world is against her, she never stops being present for her son. She’s a great mom, but having Auggie as her son is a gift. He’s so smart and attentive, this boy needs the Hornets as much as they need Auggie. When he walks into a room, he’s the star of the show. There’s only goodness in him and he owns my heart.

This series is honestly everything and more.

🍯 True Honey 🧡

“Better?” “Better.” 🧡

Silas needs to settle down to keep the families fortune, and Drew is a single mum trying to make ends meet. She may have just lost her job and she doesn’t have anywhere to live… until Silas offers a place with a ‘roommate’ — that roommate is, surprise surprise, Silas himself 🤪💕

🐝 Honey Undone 💛

“It’s like the sunshine makes him prettier.” 🩵

Jensen is the hornets secret weapon. Adeline is the star winger of the rugby team. Adeline goes to work as an app developer and spends the rest of her time on the pitch.

This was the sweetest end to the series. I still cannot believe Aubrey graced us with an additional, surprise book. I definitely let out a squeal when both arc’s landed on my kindle! ❤️‍🔥

Immediate auto-buy author now.
Bought my physical book trophies and now, I’m not a re-reader, but I think I need to! I neeeed to annotate them!!!! ❤️‍🔥

Both 5 ⭐️ 10/10. Highly recommend.

4.5 ⭐️ It’s like Aubrey went into my head, took a bunch of my favourite tropes, did her magic and said “here just for you”
Once again, I’m just in awe of Aubrey and her writing and how she is able to make you feel so seen. I think a lot of women will relate to Drew whether they’re mothers or not 🩷

Throughout this series, Silas has been part of the glue holding this family together so finally getting to be in his head was a dream. Our sweet Si has been watching out and caring for everyone but who watches out for him? If anyone deserves their happy ending, it’s this man right here.

This book just hit hard on so many levels and I appreciate Aubrey so much for writing it. Being kind to yourself, it’s okay to be selfish, healing journeys, and so much more, Aubrey writes in such an authentic way that makes these characters so real, and relatable. The way Silas and Drew navigated their journey and situation with maturity, respect and care made them so easy to love. Their love for each other was so special and earned 🥹

I am not ready for the Hornets Nest to be over, this family is my family and I love them all so much 😭

Not your typical sports romance. True Honey is tender, raw, and beautifully unflinching. This series has me in a chokehold—every book makes me laugh, cry, and feel so deeply. Taylor handles mental health with the kind of care and honesty that sticks with you long after the last page.

Silas Shore might be Harbor U’s chief athletics doc, but his life is unraveling—fast. With his criminal father looming, the team falling apart, and an ultimatum from his grandfather, Silas is one thread away from snapping. Enter Drew: a single mom on the run from her own darkness. When their worlds collide (via a bandaged hand in a diner alley), a fake marriage becomes the lifeline they didn’t know they needed.

It’s messy. It’s emotional. It’s everything.

Tropes you’ll love:
💍 Marriage of convenience
🩹 Grumpy x anxious
👶 Single mom
🏡 Found family vibes
🫀 Mental health rep (anxiety & depression)
🔥 Slow burn with emotional depth
🏥 He falls first (hard)

If you’re craving a romance with substance, softness, and a whole lot of heart—True Honey delivers. 🐝💛

*Thank you to Aubrey for providing me with an ARC for an honest review!

Silas and Drew officially became my favorite couple of the series! Their chemistry was so immediate from the moment they met! I've been so drawn to knowing Silas' story and Aubrey of course delivered!

Silas feels like the backbone that keeps everyone up and I loved getting to see the struggles behind that. This man just wanted to keep the team and everyone around happy and safe but behind that, you start to realize it's at his own expense. This man really does give "DADDY" energy and the mouth on him will frankly melt the panties right off your body!

Drew has a bad habit of running. She was a character who was so easy for me to relate to. She struggled with anxiety and all the emotions that come with being a mother. I just wanted to reach threw the pages of this book and wrap my arms around her. She was such a perfect woman for Silas. She saw his struggles of being everything for everyone and she forced him to be selfish a little bit.

This book feels a little bit like it's mine. It feels like Aubrey reached into my brain and pulled out all the things I've been going through. The dedication alone for this book absolutely obliterated me. You are truly missing out on the most beautiful series if you have not started this series.

True Honey is about finding the people who will love and accept you when you think you’re not worth it, when you think you’re at your lowest. It’s about finding the right people, about getting your spark back. It’s one of the deepest and darkest books in this series but I love it with every single piece of my heart. I related to Drew in many ways though our lives are very different. Her anxiety is portrayed so well and feels so real. Aubrey Taylor truly amazes me with her writing every single time, and the way she writes her characters is unmatched. I definitely keep Silas, Drew and Auggie close to my heart.

Silas Shore is Harbor University's athletic physician and one of the wealthiest individuals in Harbor, Rhode Island, but his life is far from perfect as he tries to shoulder the weight of the world. The team is strained, his criminal father might evade justice and take control of the family wealth, and Silas is desperate not to let everything fall apart. Silas never feels like he can fix it all. Silas' grandfather then gives him an ultimatum...find a wife or lose the family fortune and doom the fate of Harbor. Never one to commit, Silas has no idea how to rise to this monumental challenge, but then meets Drew Courtney, a new waitress in town. Drew Courtney has a habit of running. From from her ex, her anxiety, and worst of all her depression. But there are some things you just can't outrun. A waitress and single mom to her son August, Drew tries her best to provide for both of them, but try as she might, she consistently feels like a failure at everything and succumbs to an ever-present darkness that sinks its claws in and refuses to let go. They never stay in one place too long, but when the kind town doctor offers a solution, she vows to make it work for her son.

This series continues the raw and emotional story of the Hornets, and gets at the heart of love, forgiveness, grace, and family. Silas is shouldering an immense amount of responsibility and leaves no time for his personal life because he is determined to fix every problem around him all the time. But when Drew unexpectedly enters his life, she quietly shows up for Silas and helps him find a life outside of baseball. Similarly, Drew experiences crushing depression and anxiety, and always feels like she doesn't deserve to be happy. Silas is able to help her weather the darkest storms her mind creates and takes every action imaginable to convince her to say. Silas and Drew endure messy and complicated feelings from long-standing trauma, but are allowed to do so without judgment and with unwavering support. Their mental health journeys are not linear and they stumble often, but always have someone to catch them. Simply put, this is a love letter to anyone who has felt lost that you can always find yourself again and that you are always deserving of happiness.

The maturation of the characters over time, and their continued unconditional love for one another has been beautiful to watch unfold. These characters never give up and are loudly there for each other in both joyous and heartbreaking times. Overall, there was a satisfying conclusion to this chapter of the story, and it was filled with hope and promise for better days. If you want a sports romance series that genuinely examines mental health, cultivates a deep sense of found family, and will make you cry and laugh, the Hornets Nest series delivers all that and more.

I am unwell yet again at the hands of Aubrey Taylor. I didn’t think this series could get any better but here we are. Five star after five star ⭐️❤️
I am a sucker for a found family and the hornets are exactly that. Each page was a mix of devastating trauma and hilarious banter and I couldn’t ask for a better combination. This family cares for eachother so deeply, I say this everytime but I truly do feel like I have been welcomed into the nest and with every book as I learn more lore about the heart of the team and about each of our beloved characters I am feeling more and more at home in this series. Their brotherhood runs so deep in all the boys blood, there are so many moments in songs or even just when people watching that I find myself thinking of them.
Single parent will ALWAYS be a fav for me, the acts of service and level of communication and maturity is unmatched. This was FANTASTIC. Drew’s son Auggie was the perfect addition to this community and I’m so glad that while his mum found her happily ever after, he found his group of big brothers and role models.
Don’t even get me started on Silas, the man has a heart of gold. I absolutely adore the way he truly loves everyone and works so hard to make everyone feel accepted. His relationship with Auggie warmed my heart and you could tell through the page he was healing that boy’s soul. He is so unbelievably kind and always puts others before himself (sometimes too much) and he was exactly who Drew needed in her life. They needed eachother. From the beginning of the book to the very end, ALL characters suffer many devastating events but bond together and go through mountains of self discovery to get to the strong group of individuals we know and love.

To my fellow Cael Cody girlies, be warned to have your heart ripped out again.

I am not ready to say goodbye to this series 💔 Thank you so so much Aubrey for allowing me to be a part of your ARC team! I love you and these books endlessly xx

“They all piled around the table, leaving an empty chair that after some explaining I learned was a spot in honor of Lorraine Cody that no one used. But as I looked around I realized just how important they all were to each other. It wasn’t just a college baseball team. They were a family.” 🏠❤️‍🩹

I wasn’t ready for this book.
I wasn’t ready for Silas Shore.
And I was absolutely not ready to say goodbye to a series that defined my soul.

True Honey feels like standing in the doorway of a place that raised you, knowing you have to leave but wishing—just for a second—that time would stop. This is the second-to-last book in a found family series that doesn’t just tell a story, it builds a home. And Silas? Silas is the kind of character that ruins you for everyone else.

Silas Shore is everything. Steady. Devoted. Quietly feral in the way that matters most. A retired baseball player who doesn’t need the spotlight to prove his worth, who loves with intention and shows up without being asked. Watching him fall—softly, completely—was one of the most satisfying reading experiences I’ve ever had.

The single mom storyline is handled with so much care. Her strength isn’t romanticized, her exhaustion isn’t ignored, and her anxiety feels real and lived-in. The mental health representation—especially PPD and anxiety—lands gently but powerfully, never feeling like a plot device, always feeling human.

The fake engagement trope works because it isn’t flashy—it’s practical, protective, and rooted in trust. And the found family? It’s the backbone of everything. This group has weathered storms together, and you can feel the history in every interaction. The love here extends far beyond the romance, and that’s what makes it so devastating to let go of.

There’s intimacy in this book that has nothing to do with heat—though that’s very much present—and everything to do with care. The kind that says you are safe here. The kind that marks you, not as possession, but as chosen.

I closed this book with tears in my eyes and gratitude in my heart. For Silas. For this family. For a story that made space for softness, healing, and love that doesn’t demand you be anything other than who you are.

This one will stay with me. Forever.

What you’ll find inside:

retired baseball player MMC
found family that feels like home
single mom romance
PPD & anxiety representation
fake engagement
protective, intentional love
marking
healing in all its messy beauty

Silas Shore, you are everything. 🍯⚾🤍

🌿 Raw. Healing. Unforgettable.
True Honey isn’t just a love story—it’s a quiet storm of emotion that seeps into your bones and lingers. I never expected anything less from Aubrey for this series.

This book wrecked me in the softest way. Silas and Drew are two people carrying emotional baggage of life, love, and loss—who somehow find in each other the kind of gentle strength that makes the weight bearable. The writing is so tender and evocative, I felt every moment like a pulse under my skin.

Their romance? It’s not loud or flashy—but it's deeply felt. A slow-burn kind of love that rises from vulnerability and honesty. A love that feels earned. A love that has to break through the surface of insecurity and doubt. A love that deserves to be permanent.

There’s something achingly beautiful about watching these two souls recognize each other’s pain and choose to stay. Again and again. Even when it's hard. Especially when it’s hard. Especially with Drew.

I loved so much how Silas was strong for her when she wasn't able to be strong for herself and how she helped him realize that sometimes being selfish doesn't make you any less giving. Oh, how these two complemented one another. So much like the two halves of the whole.

As always, the found family bond between the characters in the Nest is everything - prevalent and uplifting. There are joy and tears, and for one in particular such great heartbreak, it hurt! I absolutely loved how easily they opened their arms and their hearts to Drew and Auggie right off the bat. I wish we could all have a family like this!

There is so much fun banter in this book that had me laughing out loud and was an easy balance to the more emotional aspects of this story. This group is some of my favorites I've ever read and how easily they know when they are needed and in what way never ceases to amaze me.

Honestly, the only thing I didn't like about this book was that it had to end.

If you’re looking for a book that will stir your heart, soothe your spirit, and leave a permanent mark on your soul—True Honey is it.

Drew is me, I am Drew. Out of all the Hornets books this one hit home like no other book I have ever read. Drew and Silas were made for each other. Silas works too much and worries about everyone else but himself. Drew calms Silas’s chaos and worries if the flog is going to hit tomorrow while raising an amazing young man. The topics in this book was like reading my life on a page what Drew goes through on a daily in that beautiful head of hers, is like looking in a mirror. This series is about family and in every book we add a new character that makes the Hornets family bigger and better and this time we added two. Silas and Drew relationship is truly something of unconditional love. One of my favorite parts in the book is when Silas tells Drew if we need to lay in the bed for a week because it quiets the noise then that’s what we are going to do. That part made me want to sob into my pillow because I have had so many of those days. And I don’t want to scare you off with the sadness because there are so many beautiful moments in this book. Like my with my favorite pitcher, Josh oh goodness I love that man with my whole heart he plays such a prevalent role in this book not only with Silas but with Drew. And August I just want to hug him and ruffle his hair he is such a smart young man. I love how much he interacted with everyone in this book and his relationship with Arlo and Cael was something so special. We got through the ups and downs in this book and I can’t believe this series is coming to an end it has made such an impact on my life. If you have not started I HIGHLY recommend you do so asap. It is more than sports more than the trauma it is a family like no other (two finger taps on the heart) a must must read!

So, here lies the major problem with having such a packed schedule, that there's no time to read my actual tbr!

Because of course, I'm back with The Hornets Nest series and this is book 4!

Book 4!! Arghhh!

Back in January this year, I read my first book by this author - Bad Honey - the first book in this brilliant series.

I cried tears of joy and sadness and was completely obsessed with all of the characters - so much so, I then bought the next book immediately!

I even grabbed book 3 at the May release!

But have I read the others?.....nope!

Now this is absolutely not for lack of wanting desperately to get back into it, but just the need for more time.

But when I spotted this book coming, I absolutely had to join in!

Anyway, guess what!?

I'm obsessed! Again!

So, things have definitely moved on a fair bit since my last read and this did take a little time to get back into, in terms of seeing where everyone is and what I've missed so far.

But the whole ambience at the nest and with the hornets just took me right back and totally transported me back there with everyone.

I absolutely loved Silas before and it was great to get to his own story.

Learning so much more about the family background and the demons that he's carried with him for so long.

Heartbreaking! But with the knowledge, that someone was going to be there for him and support him throughout.

When we meet Drew, I just knew that together, they were going to be healing for each other and little Auggie just grabbed my heart with both hands.

The writing style, although magnificent in book 1 actually felt like it had matured and got even better.

I was totally hooked and racing through the pages desperate to see how things played out - but equally desperate for it not to end!

I'm so, so annoyed that I've read these out of order - and intend to rectify this before I read book 5 - which is also out now.

This is one of those series that's going to embed itself in my very soul and stay with me forever - I am obsessed!

I’m no stranger to professing my love for Silas through out this whole series so to actually get to his book has been so good. Cause I knew my man has a MOUTH on him. He isn’t one to shy away in the bedroom.

Drew is the purest soul, and I adored her from the second I met her. She was dealt a horrible deck of cards and being part of the nest made her find her self and to find a place for Auggie.

Silas is the most caring human. He was so down bad for Drew so quickly, and become a safe place for her to land. Also, the way he just loved Auggie straight away had my heart.

Is there anything better than “I’ll be gentle” Silas my gentle giant. Silas and Drew’s love language being “better? Better.” I love them 😭

I love the Arlo making binders, especially the one about Silas. They truly are brothers, who needs blood. All the boys trying to help Silas know he’s worth everything he dreams for is beautiful.

Getting some more insight into Silas and Josh’s relationship is amazing.

Aubrey Taylor has been a must read for me since Bad Honey came out. This newest book true honey focus on Silas and Drew’s romance. Silas is both a physician for the hornets sports teams and responsible for cleaning up his father’s mess and save the family business. Silas and Drew meet in a unique manner that suits this likely pair. They are a true slow burn romance and unexpected sole mates. This book I read in a single day and now I can’t decide who my favorite couple from the series the hornets nest is now. Tropes for readers to consider why they might give this a try are fake engagement, single mom, retired player, Mr. Fix it vs the bolter, found family, hurt/comfort, postpartum depression representation, marking claim, and forced proximity. Trust is something Drew must learn on her path to falling for Silas it doesn’t come natural to her. Silas must figure out how to let someone in well helping them. Silas and drew fit together in a way that is unique to who they are and how they are developed through their own experiences. Aubrey Taylor’s plot for true honey is exceptional, while the character driven narrative is intriguing and satisfying to a reader. I highly recommend picking up True Honey by Aubrey Taylor. For readers new to the author character development for Silas
appears slowly throughout series. While the novels are interconnected stand alone I’d recommend reading books in correct order starting with Bad Honey.

First off i would like to thank Aubrey for the opportunity to read & review this gifted E-Arc.

Drew & Silas
Guys 😭😭. This book is so good. I don't know how Aubrey manages to do this but ever book is so freaking good. Like i absolutely love these two so much. I adore Drew so much and the fact that no matter what's happen she keeps pushing forward even when its hard and she doesn't know what to do she keeps going and putting August first even when she feels like breaking & that's really freaking admirable. Silas is the best man & i just love that he never hesitates to fix anything he can and while he puts his self last he always takes care of his family regardless of what's happening. I loved watching him finally slow down and be selfish for once and go after what he truly wanted & i really enjoyed watching him build a bond with August and just show up for the kid. I loved how Silas was gentle and caring with Drew & how Drew forced Silas to be selfish and ask for what he wanted.

5/5 Recommend this book. If you haven't read any of Aubrey book before please do so now, they are each a masterpiece in there own ways and no matter what let you feel seen and remind you that your not alone even when you feel like it. Also this book does touch on some serious topics (mention at the start) but was dealt with in the most respected and best way possible.

Aubrey Taylor has done it again.

Within The Nest is the most beautiful, open and comforting home, and it amazes me how real it all feels as Taylor’s prose unfolds. She writes with such heart and such compassion and the story of Silas and Drew finds its beauty in the goodness and purity of her heart. This is a story of patience, understanding, strength and resilience, but above all it is a reminder that no one walks this world truly alone. Even if we think we do.

The cast of The Hornets is, as always, chaotic and beautiful in its messiness (Cael, my dear, I look to you always) and there is such a gentle warmth that comes from the ever changing dynamic of the family Taylor has created. And an honourable mention must go to the progress of the brothers in this story. To see Josh and Silas finding comfort in their relationship is so special, especially given the dynamic within Honeysuckle, but to see them work to protect one another, even when the other is unaware, was truly impactful.

This is, for sure, another five star story from our beautiful Aubrey T, and it is going to look so beautiful on my Hornet’s bookshelf when I can get my hands on it in physical form.

Thank you for allowing me to read it early, Aubrey. I am eternally in awe of you.

What happens when someone who believes he has to fix every mess, even the ones he didn’t make, crosses paths with someone who is constantly running from one thing to the next and never slows down to give herself a chance to really be happy? Well, you get Silas and Drew🤭

True Honey is a powerful reminder of allowing yourself to remember that you matter, that being selfish for once in your life is okay, and you should always take time to care for your mental health.

Much like myself, Silas is someone who spends so much time making sure everyone else around him is okay that he doesn’t give much thought to himself in that regard. He is always looking for someone to help or something to fix.

Insert Drew, the one person who can finally make Silas slow down and consider himself for once, even when she herself is fighting to survive. Drew and her son Auggie really were the missing pieces that the Nest was looking for. Filling in gaps and sealing cracks that the Hornets might not have even realized were there until they were already fixed.

True Honey felt like when you’ve been away for so long and you don’t really know where your head is at, but then you finally make it home and everything is okay again. It’s comfort, it’s love, it’s warmth, it’s healing. It’s just perfection.

Firstly thank you to the wonderful Aubrey for the opportunity to read her book True Honey which is the fourth book in The Hornets Nest series. From the moment I sat down and turned the first page I was hooked. I don't know what kinda witch craft Aubrey uses but this series just keeps getting better and better.

True Honey follows Drew and Silas. From the moment these two met, a spark began to sizzle for these two. Silas has always cared about everyone else's feelings and making everyone happy. Even at his own expense. But in enters Drew and turns his world upside down. Their relationship might not start how a normal one would. But who wants normal. Its overrated.

These two have an electric chemistry, their journey is emotional, they have amazing growth, the found family vibe is next level, its healing, its steamy and the spice is 🥵🥵

Coming back to the nest always feels like coming home.

If you’re looking for your next sport romance make sure you check this one out or even better grab the whole series.

4.5/5 🐝 I LOVEEEE Silas and Drew SO much omg. I was so excited for Silas’s book and it definitely lived up to the expectations💞 Silas is such a sweetheart and has so much on his plate with negative and positive things/people. But I’m so glad that Drew was able to help him and pull him back to realize that he also needs to help himself. Being able to dive deeper into Silas and getting his pov truly made me fall in love with him even more. I absolutely love Drew so much. She cares so much about Auggie and the postpartum depression rep really added a lot. I love when there is representation. The found family in this book was THE BEST which is no surprise since it’s always so cute in this series. I loved how the nest family all came together to welcome Drew and Auggie because it truly did make a difference. Drew and Silas were literally meant for each other.🥹 The way that they are able to communicate and love each other was so beautiful. They made me cry, laugh, blush, smile, giggle and kick my feet. Absolutely love this series and couple soooo much. Thank you so much to Aubrey for allowing me to read this arc and letting me be apart of the nest family❤️‍🩹

From book 1 I knew I would love Silas. We are introduced to him as the “stupid rich” Dr for The Hornets. The fixer upper. The one everyone turned to, to solve their problems. In True Honey we get to know Silas in all his handsome glory. Not only is he handsome on the outside but, his heart, HUGE. Protect and serve is his motto. Everyone deserves a Silas but Silas also deserves someone. His whole life is crumbling but then…

Insert Drew.

Drew, the struggling single mom. When things get tough, Drew runs. She has ran straight into Silas where he proposes a contract to help save his family. She has made promises to her child that she intends to keep. Contract, promises, and it all begins to be overwhelming. What will she decide to do?

The Hornets grab a hold of your heart and leave a lasting impression. The hardships that each one go through are so relatable. I’ve cried in every book for different reasons. It’s one big huge f’d up family and I’m here for it all. One of my all time favorite series.

ARC REVIEW

4.75 stars ⋆.˚

“I love you for all the dark corners and what you hide in them.”

Aubrey writes with so much heart, and this book reminded me why I love her stories. Drew’s journey touched me deeply, she’s a single mom carrying so much weight on her shoulders, convinced she’ll never be enough. I cried for her, but I also loved watching her find Silas because he sees her in a way she can’t see herself. I also loved how big of a role Auggie plays in the story. He’s such a special character and I related to him so much. And Silas… I have loved him in all the other book of the series. He’s the kind person who wants to fix everything for everyone else, even if it means neglecting himself. He’s far from perfect but his heart is good, and that’s what makes him so special. And then there are the Hornets, the heart of it all. The chosen family that holds everything together. Their bond is messy, complicated but so full of love.

Comes out on September 2nd!

Thank you so much Aubrey for the e-arc! ♥︎

silas girlies, i apologise, i wasn't familiar with his game.

i really liked seeing silas's perspective and his relationship dynamics with everyone, especially josh, ryan, and arlo. i know your partner can't read your mind, but it's lovely when they can read your cues. attentiveness and being known seems rare these days.

drew, her character was like looking in a mirror. her struggles reminded me that we all need a bit of grace, for ourselves and each other. she is there for silas in ways no one else could be; letting him be selfish for once and giving him a safe place to do so.

'true honey' is the epitome of found family, it's in every chapter. the bond between the hornets is truly something special. auggie is the heart of this one. i already loved arlo and van but this book made me love them a little more.

this series is immensely precious to me, holding an unrivalled place in my heart.
