Hi everyone. My name is J Frances and welcome to my page. I am a new author here on Amazon and have spent the last 12 years writing romance novels but somehow or other, I just never got round to quite finishing them off. In 2024, I finally managed to find the time in my busy life to edit and self publish my very first novel, A Leap of Faith, a novel of which I am very proud. I started this novel way back in 2013 so it spent very many years on my computer before finally leaping on to the e-pages on Amazon. I have always had a deep passion for writing from a very young age. I used to spend most of my time either writing stories or typing them up on my little type writer when I was a little girl. I've always had a very vivid imagination when it comes to stories and characters and I can now finally share those stories and worlds with all of you. My next novel is a rock star romance trilogy and Reclamation - Book 1 of my rock star series, releases on 31st March 2025. I started writing this novel back in 2015 and it went through four drafts before I finally got the story to where I wanted it to be. This new story is, at the very heart of it, a traumatic love story, but one that is filled with so much heart, love and passion, and I truly hope you readers out there will see it for what it truly is. A story that brings awareness to many important subject matters but also, a deeply intense love story that I hope will stay in your hearts forever. Happy reading. J x
Ah, I’m so sad this series is over now but I’m also so thoroughly grateful I got to read Lauren & Jonny’s story through the 3 books. So many emotions were had from book 1-3, book two being the one that got the waterworks hitting me the most! It was hit and miss sometimes within their relationship with how rocky things were as well dealing with past trauma but they made it through the rough times and gave us a truly deserving HEA by the end 🫶🏻 I would absolutely love to see more from this series with maybe focusing on each of the band members and their relationships 💕 I’ll be looking out for more of the authors work!
I absolutely do recommend this to anyone willing to read it, obviously please be mindful of the themes as through the series there are very sensitive topics involved.
Thank you to J Frances & LBT for allowing me to tour this series, it’s been an absolute pleasure!!
Fragmented by J.Frances. Book 3 of Reclamation Rock Star Series. I love this series. I love the cover. We start where book 2 finished. I honestly couldn't put it down. I read this in less than 24 hours. I love Jonny, Lauren, Stacey, Ben, Will and Zach. I love how they pull together. Even Lara is growing on me. I didn't like Jimmy. Lauren's dad. He was not nice. I love how protective Jonny is of Lauren. Oh my. I certainly need tissues with this book. Wow. I recommend this series.
Now that the past has finally caught up with Lauren and Jonny, can they move forward and find their happily ever after?
I'm not sure what magic has been put into The Reclamation Rock Star series but it is such an addictive series that I couldn’t wait to read the next instalment. Whilst reading I felt like I was part of Lauren and Jonny’s journey from book one through to book three.
The storyline was heart-warming but included heartbreak. It was about grief, healing and embracing the past in order to move forward. Lauren and Jonny have been on a roller coaster of a journey and when they thought they'd found each other something happened which threatened their future. I was really pleased to see that this book picks up immediately after the events of the second book when Jonny is about to share something with Lauren about her father.
I have loved following the characters and their development in this series. They have all grown and matured despite having to deal with some really difficult issues and situations. Lauren and Jonny are very protective of each other. Although that works really well in some scenarios it does hold them back because when try to protect each other they start to push the other away. Throughout the series Lauren and Jonny have confronted the past and those who were involved in putting a wedge between them. In the second book Jonny confronted his father and in this book Lauren confronted her father. I thought Lauren was extremely brave when she did this. She had removed her father from her life, but in order to move forward she had to face him again and that meant reliving the trauma he had put her through. But ultimately by facing her past and her father Lauren was able to show that despite everything her father had put her through he had no hold over her. My favourite scene in this book was definitely the scene in the shower where Jonny sings to Lauren. I will say no more other than that scene melted my heart but you'll have to read the book to find out what actually happened.
I was a little sad to say goodbye to Lauren, Jonny and the other characters. Their story is definitely one that will stay with me for a long time and this is a series I will be revisiting. I do hope that there is a spin-off series in the future on Jonny’s band mates because I would love to learn more about their stories and also to find out what is in store for Ben and Stacey.
If you love romance that includes rock stars then this is a series that I would highly recommend.
The final instalment of Lauren and Jonny's story, and honestly? It wrapped things up perfectly. Did they still bicker and run off doing their own thing because they thought it was "for the best" in true Lauren and Jonny style? Of course they did. Did they make up two seconds later? Hell yeh. But that's them - chaotic, stubborn, messy, and yet somehow perfect for each other. Over the three books they've faced some seriously heavy stuff, so it actually makes sense that this is just... how they operate. And honestly, the growth and maturity we see from not just them but all the characters? Absolutely great.
The multiple POVs were another win for me - I loved the continuity. And let's be real: I am nosy as hell, so I loved getting the tea straight from every character's brain, left, right, and centre.
And finally, after everything, they got their HEA - dreams achieved, barriers smashed, and proving that the "impossible" was never really out of reach.
This was kindly gifted to me for an honest review.
I'm so sad this series has come to an end but what a wild ride it has been. Jonny and Laurens story has been one fraught with so much hardship and heartbreak and I feel like I have lived through each one with them as they fought a hard won battle to their happily ever after.
This book tied up all of the loose ends of the story. We get to go back be Manchester were it all began for Jonny and Lauren and back to LA were they are building their new life.
This book was so good I think Jonny and Laurens relationship matures in this book and even though their firery passion is still there they work out their differences in a much better way in this story.
I loved all of the cute and thoughtful moments in this book. It made me fall in love with the characters even more and the ending was absolutely perfect. I felt like there story had come full circle and I was a beautiful way to end the series.
I loved the side characters in this series and would love nothing more than to get stories from all of them.
The last book in the trilogy, I started this book with a bittersweet feeling, I really wanted to read the rest of the story but didn’t want it to end. It was a great final book in the series although I’m am hoping we will hear more about them in future books 🤞 Lauren and Jonny have had a really rough and rocky relationship both with trauma to deal with but I love them when they are together they are just a couple I’ve been routing for. It’s more than just that relationship I love the friends and support network they have from friends and band mates all of which would make great spin off books. A fitting end to a truly wonderful set of books.
I’ve loved being on this tour, thank you and I will be rereading this again for sure! #Ad #LBTCrew #Bookstagram #FreeBookReview
The trilogy ends with this last look into the lives of Johnny, Lauren and their friends being a rather less dramatic one than the previous stories. It also has a big fat happily ever after, which I was definitely pleased about. It's strange to have rooted for a couple who often seemed to be in a seriously toxic relationship, I often thought these guys need to just cut their losses because they are so fiery and argumentative, but ultimately they showed themselves to being each other's one true loves. This story has lots of happy and warm moments, and very few of the dark moments we've become accustomed to in this series. Despite its more sedate storyline, it didn't lose its pacing and I read it in the space of 24hours. I would have loved to have seen Lauren seeking some support and more around the support Johnny got. This support is so key to the past traumas they had both experienced which was really the main crux of the story throughout all three novels. I have really enjoyed meeting the others in the band, and Stacey and Lauren's friendship was very special. The author mentions she might revisit this world another time, I'd love for us to see Will and Zak get a bit more limelight and unravel their stories. We shall see!
Fragmented was the perfect ending to Lauren and Jonny’s story. The drama that unfolded between them in the two previous books gave space to a steadier, more calm and intimate connection between the two, leaving them in a much better place than we’ve seen them before. There’s no constant conflict anymore, and although there’s still tension, is not rooted in their relationship but in ghosts of the past coming to haunt them. Their relationship is more secure than ever, and that feels like a good change from the constant fights in books 1 and 2. I feel this book can be read as a standalone, because the characters have already matured and are starting in a new place in heir relationship, it feels much less chaotic, but still emotional. I also love how the supporting characters’ friendships developed in this book and I’d love to discover more about Jonny’s bandmates.
After book one and two of this trilogy, I had come to feel invested in both the main and the side characters. I was eager to find out how Jonny and Lauren's story would play out in this concluding book.
There is a completely different tone with this book. I feel that Jonny and Lauren are in a better place in their relationship. There's certainly much less drama between them. That being said, they are still battling a lot in their personal lives and still dealing with past trauma. With the pair being much more stable, the heat level was definitely turned up a notch in this book.
I feel the author has wrapped the series up well. The loose ends were tied up, and the couple got a fitting conclusion that felt satisfying. Such an enjoyable series with a lot of love and emotion.
I've come to the end of this brilliant series - The Reclamation Rock Star series - and am back with the review for the third and final book.
As expected, after the ending of book 2, I couldn't wait to dive right back into this book as soon as it arrived.
This started off looking like things were going to all work out just fine and that all the darkness of the past was over.
We find Lauren and Jonny reunited at last and they're finally settling into a happy life together. But things still don't run smoothly.
There have definitely been times where I've really wondered whether I should be rooting for this couple, but then I'm just swept away again with the emotions and their stories.
It was great to see this book told again from the dual pov which really gives us a closer insight into the emotions and feelings of each character.
I love delving into he psychological and mental health side of things so it was great to hear Jonny's experience first hand and to see Lauren making inroads with getting some help too.
Although this isn't a light storyline again, we do see the themes dealt with and written in a really sympathetic manner.
Still a tough read, but important to explore these things.
The spice was once again spicing and I loved that this was woven beautifully within the storyline to help progress the relationship.
I've enjoyed every single second of this series and think I'll be thinking of all the characters for some time still.
I wonder whether we might see any spin offs or complimentary reads in the future?
If not, I might just have to re-read this series again.....
Fragmented by J Frances is the final book in the Reclamation Rock Star Series.
Frances does a great job of wrapping up the series with this book. Although I think technically this book could read as a standalone, readers will benefit from having read the other two books, as much of the character development has been built over the course of the series.
There is admittedly, less drama in this book, but it does wrap up multiple loose ends tidily.
In the third and final instalment of The Reclamation Rock Star Series, we are taken on yet another emotional rollercoaster as Lauren and Johnny finally confront their past and the tragedy of losing Oliver, their unborn child, to the hands of Lauren’s dad. We see Lauren’s full character arc here as she becomes braver and works with the media to try and help/ inspire other abuse survivors. Of course, this is Lauren and Johnny so they don’t make it easy as once again we see a lack of communication nearly end them (something that is getting a little tedious at this point). The book then progresses to basically tie up all the questions and plot sidelines created through the series. I don’t want to say much more than that as I hate giving spoilers but I do feel it was the ending that Johnny and Lauren deserved.
For me, this book fell a little flatter than the other two but I don’t know if that’s simply because I was so exasperated with Lauren’s choice to go off AGAIN at the end of book 2 that I had no sympathy left for her at the start of book 3. The lack of communication, argument about the lack of communication concluding with passionate make-up sex (therefore not communicating again) just gets a little monotonous to a point where I found myself wanting to read more about Stacey and Ben’s relationship. Spin-off maybe? However, I can’t argue that Frances keeps a good pace; I enjoyed the fact it was dual perspective again and was happy with the resolution of everything so cannot complain. I also love a book series that ends with glimmers of the future because - let’s face it - we’re greedy and want to know what happened to our beloved characters after.
Overall an enjoyable binge-y series that is an easy read and a good mix of spice and plot (albeit a slightly repetitive plot).
This book is the third instalment in the series and picks up from the cliffhanger in the previous book. Lauren and Jonny are reunited at last and are determined to move forward and put their past behind them but another obstacle crops up. I left the previous book still not warming to Lauren as the FMC and that didn't change in this, I found her character had some toxic moments whereas Jonny shows real growth from where his character was in the first book. Having said that it's a good depiction of the saying 'hurt people, hurt people' because she has been through multiple traumas. I would have liked to see her go to therapy, to be honest, but I loved how Jonny's mental health was depicted, you don't see men's mental health explored enough in books, and this one did so really sensitively. The plot was so good but once we hit a plot point it seemed to be over so quickly, I'd have liked to have seen the plot drawn out a little bit more and a little more focus on the feelings throughout the book when big events occurred. In comparison, the romance was detailed and the book was very spicy. I also felt like the plot was tied up well.
Jonny and Lauren are finally together and ready to build a peaceful life in LA, determined to move on from their past. But when someone they thought was gone returns, their new beginning is threatened. As old pain resurfaces, they must discover whether their love is strong enough to survive—or if the past will tear them apart.
This book brings Jonny and Lauren’s story to a close after three books, and what a journey it’s been. It was an emotional rollercoaster from start to finish, and I cried in every single book. I wouldn’t change a thing. This series deserves so much more love because it’s truly incredible. I’m sad it’s over—I wanted to keep reading about their lives—but I got the happily ever after I was hoping for. 💖
There are moments in this book that are really tough to read because of the struggles the characters face, but it’s absolutely worth it. They are a must-read, and I’d recommend adding it to your TBR straight away. 📚✨
Here we are at (so far) the end of the series - I can hardly believe it. What a rollercoaster of emotions these books have been. As mentioned on the previous two reviews, please do check trigger warnings- there are some heavy topics discussed. They are handled sensitively and with care but still, I wouldn’t want anyone to be blindsided. I loved the growth and maturity that the lead characters garnered as the books progressed. The book is dual POV which we all know I love and the story unfolded and concluded beautifully. The series as a whole made for excellent reading and the final installment might just be my favourite of the three. You should very definitely add this to your TBR. I would love to see it made into a movie or a mini series for TV. All in all, excellent
I loved this series so much. I really enjoy when each book in the series picks up where the last left off. I think this series did a good job on showing growth in this couple, they are working on themselves, I like how it wasn't just boom everything is fixed. The ending of this book made me feel content, I wasn't reaching for more, grasping for straws knowing it was the end of the series. The emotions in this book we are amazing, and I cannot wait to see what's next from J. Frances.
Fragmented is the third book in the Rockstar Series and what an incredible ending to an amazing series.
Once again we dive right into Jonny and Lauren trying to move on and start an amazing future together, when the past and the darkness from their history together is still trying to put blocks in their way.
This was so emotional throughout at one point I was smiling as I was reading and the next I was blubbering. The themes within this book, the author has delivered in a sympathetic way.
This series had everything to keep you wanting more. I loved Jonny and Lauren's banter and chemistry, but also really loved how the other characters developed throughout the books.
I look forward to reading more from J Frances and this is definitely a series that I would shout from the rooftops about and highly recommend.
The final book in this roller-coaster of a rockstar romance trilogy starts off a bit rocky between Jonny and Lauren, but soon turns soft and comforting. A very heartwarming ending to this series.
This was a perfect conclusion to the series! Everything got wrapped up beautifully and we finally got the HEA they both deserved. Overall, it was a beautiful story and a beautiful series filled with so much love and healing.
I always feel nervous when I read the final book in a set as in my head because if I’ve got to the final book it means I’ve enjoyed the plot and love the characters. In Fragmented I wasn’t disappointed.
The story of Lauren and her father I felt was done really well and I’m proud to see Lauren growing in strength in the same way Jonny has. Lots of sensitive issues are discussed throughout the series but I feel that they are dealt with respectfully. I really admire J Francis including some very tough subjects such as suicide and domestic abuse. It added extra grit and dimension to the characters. No one is perfect and we all have scars which Lauren and Jonny have in abundance but the common theme in the series is love. Love between Jonny and Lauren, ben snd Jonny with their friendship, Lauren and Stacey with their friendship, Jonny with his family and the love from the fans.
A massive congratulations to J Francis on creating this beautiful three part story which has kept so many of us gripped to find out if Jonny and Lauren make it.
