The resurrection ledger is cracking—and so is Robin Sullivan’s second life.
Barely free of the SXSW hauntings and the lake-dwelling Leviathan, the undead cadet uncovers a black-market Memory Merchant siphoning the past straight out of people’s heads. One toxin-tipped dart jolts a buried vision of her own sacrifice, proving the Academy’s rot runs deeper than a few rogue ghosts.

The trail leads to Mortis, the beloved instructor whose side hustle in soul-trafficking cost Robin her first life. Dragging him before Death’s incorruptible court wins a single, chilling clue—Marrows-Board—before the Reapers silence him forever.

Now reality is shredding. Rifts split the Austin skyline, the Leviathan hungers for cosmic power, and rogue Reapers launch a brutal purge on the very school that created them. With her found-family squad—tech-savvy David, kinetic tracker Ashley, and lethal yet conflicted Jude—Robin must seal the breaches, expose Marrows-Board, and keep Death’s ledger from igniting the world.

Every step drags her closer to the Robin’s soul was sold long before she died. To win this war she’ll have to gamble what little remains—and decide whether a girl who’s already died twice can still choose how her story ends.

Ready to stand with Robin? Grab Bone to Bone today and join the fight before the next rift swallows us all.

Okay, I'm a late bloomer who's a big DC comics fan and spent my childhood summers on the Jersey shore but I was born under a wandering star and have lived in different parts of America ever since. That's enough about me. Need to feel inspired today? Looking for something to make you root for an ordinary hero? I'm all about that in everything I write.

I love a good tale that makes me wonder about things and I love a story even more that leaves me feeling inspired or like I'm capable of doing more than I realized. That's my goal with everything I've ever written. Some of the stories I tell involve twisting, turning thrillers and others have a lot of magic.

There's something to be said for getting lost in another world and coming out the other side feeling a little better about yourself or the possibilities in front of you. That's basically the best part of life in a nutshell, no matter what kind of story I'm setting out to tell.

Thank you for checking out my stories!

Darkness sees a glimmer of light

I reflect on the real world and urban fiction. If i am to believe authors' notes at the back of the books I read, I sometimes see them in the characters they write. This has been the darkest series for me by Martha Carr. The characters are missing parts. My most recent hospitalization taught me how close real death can be. For the sake of Bethany Anne, bedsores are a true pain in the butt, no ifs ands or buts.
In real life, Martha's original notes were a living will. A testament to her son and future daughter in law (I hope) of struggles, discoveries, and things to pass on about her. She has faced the big C. By this book; however, she is changing course after finding a new interest. Bird killer is also facing giving up toys, accepting chores, and maturing into mentorship. While he changes names and co-authors, he has developed different lines of creativity. Growth hurts. It does beat the alternative of death and decay. I guess that it true for both of them.
The first arc of the trilogy has ended with "life" and love choices. Good and evil are yet to be vanquished. A true guardianship is waiting next.

Bone to Bone

Good wrap up for story. I love the way it ties together the story and offers the characters a place to explore the story.
