I don't normally reach for Greek Mythology inspired books, but this one makes me want more. It's got everything you want in a fantasy novel. High stakes, friendship, fast paced action, epic adventure, creatures, and magic. I fell in love or hatred(in a good way) with each new setting.

I found the relationship the characters had with their Gods interesting. I was drawing parallels to religions in today's modern world the entire book. I enjoyed being able to relate and put that part of myself into the main character.

There were parts that were a little simplistic which makes it perfect for a YA reader. In contrast, the descriptions in settings and action scenes were beautifully written, making it enjoyable for an adult reader. Also, the cover is GORGEOUS and it's really cool that the author illustrated it. I kept trying to find bits of the story in the artwork

This book grabbed my attention and when I was busy doing all of my work all I wanted to do was read! The writing is so excellent! I am so glad this is the first book into mythology and quest books! I am so excited for more!
