This book is not a standalone! You need to read the first 2 to grasp the story.
In Buried in Blood, the final chapter of the twisted saga culminates with a visceral reckoning. Secrets once dormant erupt like blood-stained ghosts, shattering forged alliances and exposing raw wounds. Ivy truly excels in crafting a haunting atmosphere, where emotional scarring and inner turmoil feel as tangible as the physical world. The characters are pushed to their breaking points, and their fractured psyches drive the story forward with a painful, poignant urgency. This is a novel that doesn’t shy away from brutality- whether that’s emotional betrayal, psychological manipulation, or tests of loyalty.
Yet beneath the darkness lies a compelling, deeply human core. The fractured bonds, the lingering pain, and the desperate longing for redemption give the book a surprising emotional resonance. Ivy does it again! I was fully prepared for Damien to be a third anti-hero that I eventually fall in love with. NOPE. That man deserved everything he got, every betrayal, every bit of pain and his death along with so much more. I bought the first 2 books almost immediately after reading and #3 will be no different.
The journeys that Ivy takes you on.. it's transcendent. You feel as if you are right there, feeling every emotion, every betrayal, everything. Applause and standing ovation Ivy!! You're amazing, thank you for letting me be your early reader as well as friend. I treasure you!

This was probably my favorite of the trilogy! I’d personally classify it more as a thriller than a romance—the suspense had me hooked for most of the book. The first 85% pulled me in completely, and I loved how the different character perspectives gave so much depth to the story. For me, the romance didn’t really come into play until the last 15%, and that part felt a little slower compared to the rest. Still, the build-up and shifting viewpoints made this such an engaging read, and I’m glad I stuck with the series through to the end.

The plot twists 🤯 I could not put this book down. If you’re looking to dive deep into darkness that overshadows an unexpected love story, this one is for you. And just when you think you know what’s going to happen, you’ll be shocked. I don’t want to give any spoilers, but this book will keep you on your toes and the characters won’t fail to completely shock you.

He didn’t suffer enough for me. But I’m glad she got her happy ending but I’m a bit confused about her part and a bit annoyed with her if I’m being honest but I understand her being trapped so it sucks but overall good series excited for Ronan’s standalone
