The editing team did a great job.
Not a single character out of of place.

The art, coverart, illustrations, font and text choices are all well done and only add to the ease of consuming this anthology.

Aly Kuch's wonderful smile and good natured charm stands juxtaposed with her writing. She writes the settings with such precision and savagery that the paragraphs gave me tunnel vision into the feelings of the characters. Aly's stories are methodical, inevitable, ascending, and able to provide visceral imagry in only a few lines. I'm exited to rip into her novel The Breaking of Brendalyn Ellingboe and read what other shadows arrive under the sharp tip of her pen.
A great writer with a knack for describing scenes in a way that made me look for what wasn't there: Two authors on the cover but so far only a review of one...

Raine Arking-Kuch arrives with her heart hidden amongst the tattoed flowers upon her sleeve. She wipes the remnants of a grilled sandwich off her shirt and balls up 3sheets of oil covered wax paper as she points out the tiny bit of food stuck in her sister Aly's teeth. The left side. No, the other left side. Silly goose. We need to pack floss next time. Dammit.

Raine's writing left me reminded of tragic comedies, plans always going awry, and a person who describes things as they are without insult or intent to harm, only to inform and communicate. With a truth born from seeing every single thing the world has to offer all at once, from every angle, through every scope, time and space...Raine's jabs, transparent descriptors, and scene ending quips have found home in these short stories, hooks, and snippets of what could be much longer adventures.
Take pride in a thing well done and well recieved.
Your first publishing was ...wicked‽

Together, based on what I've read so far, these sisters have paired: love and logic, fright and feelings, and horror and humor in a truly Willful, Wise & Wicked way.
