Got it from the library, but would purchase. Great food photos, great recipe layouts, great info bites. Realistically doable recipes. In the top 5 cookbooks read this year.
My favourite cookbook I’ve bought in several years (excluding Recipe Tin Eats, my daily driver cookbooks!). Easy to follow, gorgeous photos, and everything I’ve made so far has been a huge hit with my family. I’ll be gifting this to several friends!
Every Salad Ever by Greta Podleski is another hit with our family. We have been fans of her books (that she authored with her sister) - the Looneyspoons then later the Crazy Plates. This new book is also a winner. Every salad combo looks delicious. Although there are ingredients that are not compatible with some of our family member (sensitivities or allergies), we take inspiration or will skip those items. We love it so much, we had to buy our own copy. Keep those recipe books coming, Greta! and thank you! (Very recommended)
I had something great I wanted to say about this book, but goodreads didn't have it a month ago when I read this book and now I don't remember. Something about the references being dated, but I had a good example.
It's nice to see a cookbook that the author has clearly put time and effort into. Each page has a QR code that led to more content and the salads that we've tried have been good.
I LOVE this cookbook! This a stunning book that has been crafted with such care. Each recipe comes with a full page picture, an introduction to each recipe, a clearly written recipe, tips and a QR code. There are over 100 recipes with Greta chatting about cooking tips on each page ( through the QR code). It is a very special cookbook indeed!
Hear me out - our brains can only cope with so much information. A simple and easy book like this is great for helping you eat interesting and healthy when your brain is not able to handle anything that isn't essential or on fire. So my review is that it's not groundbreaking but still helpful and useful.
I love Greta! All of her and her sisters cookbooks have been my fav for years. Legit every recipe I’ve made in this book has been delicious. And the marinades for protein are amazing
I borrowed this from the library. May need to purchase the book. it's beautiful, stunning salad photos and easy to follow recipes. There isn't a salad in here I wouldn’t eat.
4.5/5 stars. I have taken off .5 stars because Every Salad recipe from Podleski’s cookbook Yum & Yummer, which I also own, is repeated in this cookbook. That means 14 of the recipes are repeats and makes one entire section of Yum & Yummer redundant. I have made three salads from this book and loved all of them! I can’t wait to work my way through the rest of the recipes.
