Deuce and Koya really bring out the best in each other even though they need to work on their communication skills with each other. I see Deuce’s point on going after more money for his family and securing their future more while working towards retirement and hopefully Kovi will pay him the money he’s worth to keep Deuce in Atlanta. I like the fact that Koya started looking at the possible trade from Deuce’s perspective and willing to follow her husband wherever he goes and hopefully her dad won’t continue to risk losing the both them since she works for the organization as well. I thought we were going to get an update on Prince and I wanted to know how him and his mom were doing especially since she left his dad in the previous book. I’m so disappointed in Dolla and that he in fact is a cheater. All we kept reading in the two previous books is how he loved Masai and his family and how he wasn’t like the typical athlete cheating on his wife so it’s really a let down to see that he is. Masai is like that nicca’s lifeline and I don’t know if I want to read the next book because in my opinion ain’t no coming back after cheating.
Whew at one point, I didn’t think they were going to make it down the aisle. The communication was just NOT communicating. Deuce was wrong for how he went about things. Period. But despite their obstacles, they chose each other. Loved that for them. I do hate that it essentially ends on a cliffhanger. AND the author did exactly to Masai & Dolla what I didn’t want to see. I stayed up until 4am to read this immediately after I finished Defying the Rules, and woke up a few hours later still upset about the direction the author is taking them. I love this friend/found family group so much and I’m afraid that Book 4 will break me too bad.
Duece is him! He is him! He knows how to play the background and let his lady lead. Koya knows when she has to let him lead. There are no egos in play her l, just a mutual understanding of who they are to each other. I like how Duece is all about letting Koya experience her soft girl era. She stressed he's booking a trip. She needs to talk he's there. I like the two of them together. I wonder if they are getting a spin-off. That man wants kids and all of the things.
This novella was a beautiful celebration of love between Deuce & Koya. And although not without conflict, they managed to make it down the aisle en route to a well deserved HEA! But that ending…Chile that’s the setup for the story I’ve been diligently trying to get to, and it’s up next! Bring it on Unique!
This follow up was aight but feel like it could’ve been a part of the epilogue.
Now that intro Masai and Kreed has me sitting at the edge of my seat. I always respected what he said but in the back of my mind wonderful about him. Can’t wait to deep dive into their book when it’s released
Deuce and Koya getting married is full of normal wedding jitters and the Deuce is trying to solidify his legacy so that’s a lot to deal with. BUT MASAI AND KREED?! WTF KREED?! Let’s goooo Book 4! We ready!
This was short and sweet. I need more. I’m guessing we will get to see what comes of the two in the next book, but I was left yearning for more. 4 ⭐️ because I know more is coming.
My favorite is Deuce perfectly imperfect. Great story touched on many aspects of family love business and acceptance. Tough being a woman in a male dominated field but with knowledge and grace it can be done
