This was my first time reading this author, and I have to say—it was an entertaining ride! I absolutely loved the instalove vibes. I fully subscribe to the delulu lifestyle the author brought to the table. YES—wife me up and drop this dick in me, please! LMBO! Don’t judge me, but Zeke could get it anytime and anyplace, and it’s obvious why Lanelle folded like a lawn chair. The Miami backdrop added such a fun, vibrant energy. Something about that city just gets me hype. And when Coconut Grove was mentioned? I was like, s/o to my Bahamian massive! LOL! Zeke’s brother, Amar aka Boa, brought the perfect comedic relief. I thoroughly enjoyed him and the tight-knit family dynamic. The way he cracked on their uncle took me clean out! This book had the recipe to be great, but it didn’t fully follow through. The editing was rough—errors were everywhere. It was clear that if an editor was used, they shouldn’t be used again. And honestly, the book should’ve been longer. While I’m a big instalove fan, I would’ve liked to see Zeke put in a little more work to court Lanelle. That would’ve helped balance the romance with the secondary storyline, which also needed more development. Overall, the story wasn’t bad—it had real potential. I’m hoping the author takes the time to fully flesh things out on-page in the next book if this is going to be a series.
Lethal is definitely added to my book bae list love me an unhinged mmc
This book is sure to keep you laughing but lethal is top dog and bae the spice 🌶🌶🌶🌶in this book is top tier . I love me some Boa , fingers crossed we get a book about Boa
I always enjoy an opposites attract sort of vibe. Clean cut new physician Lanelle has an affinity for bad boys, and she found one as soon as she moves to Miami, in Zeke (Lethal). Their coupling was quick, but it worked. I love the closeness of the Malone tribe, especially how Zeke's brother Boa, always had some comedic commentary.
I had a feeling Shaw was shady, but the backstory of Zeke's parents, was a shocker! Decent story, however, the editing needs to be tightened up. There were errors and typos throughout the entire read. Hope Boa and Jurnee get a story next.
This book was good! It was so much better than what I was expecting and I loved that too! This was a good example of not judging a book by its cover. I enjoyed Lanelle and her whole story and that she had to work to get to where she was. I feel as though I saw her as being me or one of my friends. The MFC had to work hard to achieve her dreams and it made it all more believable. The relationship between Zeke and Lanelle was one I enjoyed watching grow. I loved watching him fall for her. Zeke was so hard but soooo good with her. And the scenes with Boa really had me LOL because he was so unabashedly himself and also just said whatever was on his mind. I’m interested and giddy to think about his story and how he will find his person. This book kept me entertained throughout the story, the spice was there, the humor, the love, along with the danger and craziness of Boa. I can truly say I thoroughly enjoyed this book from beginning to end. Now I’m just impatiently waiting for more from the Malone family😊❤️
Zeke saw and conquered!! Even in not being sure what it was about Lanelle he still chased her. Then when he figured out what he wanted he doubled down!! I loved that even though Lanelle was accomplished she was real within herself about what she wanted and what was for her. I am so glad she did not shy away from the connection and instinct that allowed her to love Zeke naturally!! Five stars Ms. Wallace🥰
I really enjoyed reading this book. I love when both main characters are strong. I'm hoping we get Boa's book next! My only negative was there was quite a bit of typos and grammar issues. But nothing too bad that I couldn't figure out what the author was trying to say. I will be checking out more of Lory Wallace's books.
The bones for this story is absolutely here and honestly I loved a lot of the characters and I was INVESTED, so invested that when the author said who the next book would be about I got very excited!! This would have definitely been rated higher but there were some consistency and editing issues that unfortunately would take me out of the story.
Zeke and Lanelle survived the worst to get the best. I love how they had to go through ups and downs to get their family. Secrets came out, but Zeke made sure his family would be there in the end. You learn what's important to you after going through the worst thing in life.
This book was soooo good. Zeke didn't play about Lanelle. The spice was spicing from the beginning. But Boa(Zeke's brother) had me literally laughing out loud. I can't wait for his book. The plot twist I never seen coming. Loved the book.
