Mia is completely in Korum's mercy, after her betrayal and the shocking events in the last part of the previous book. New York is left behind and the two of them start their new life in Lenkarda, the main Krinar colony on Earth in Puerto Rico.
I loved the book. I loved how the relationship of the two main characters develops. Their devotion and love grows. Although the wounds from Mia’s betrayal run deep, she is somewhat forgiven. Korum is older and wiser. He knows that these younglings behave sometimes without thinking. As a result, Korum offers her the ultimate gift and he makes her immortal.
I absolutely LOVED Korum in this book and he is forgiven for his horrible behavior in the previous book!
Mia is not that naïve any more. But she still needs improvement!
We also learn a bit more about
-the Krinar society and their advance technology. Lots of creative and detailed descriptions.
-how lucky the girls are, if they have a Krinar lover.

4+ Close-Encounters-of-the-Third-Kind Stars
Better than the first, this book really drew me in and it delivered a very sexy and surprisingly complex story...
Can't believe I'm saying it, but...Team Krinar!
In the 1st book in the Krinar Chronicles we got introduced to our makers. An all-mighty, advanced alien race, The Krinar, revealed themselves to humanity. Thousands of years ago, they created us in their image and now this technologically advanced people returned officially to Earth to prevent us from destroying our world.
They are above our laws and POWERFUL...
Mia Stalis was a sweet and innocent student who caught Korum's eye. Korum one of the highest ranking Krinar, swept her off her feet, overwhelmed her and seduced her. In a desperate move to find her own standing, Mia betrayed Korum to the Resistance, but there is always a trap in whatever a Krinar does...
And falling in love wasn't in their plans.
“You’ve gotten under my skin,” he said softly, “and now I want you, in ways that I never thought were possible."
Korum whisks Mia away in Lenkarda, the Krinar colony in Costa Rica. A punishment or a seduction? Will he lay the world on her feet or will he strip off her last hope?
In many ways this second book made a lot more sense than the first. We got to see another feistier side of Mia, who actually grows a backbone... It was high time, girlfriend!
Korum is another whole story... The man is deliciously infuriating! Possessive, arrogant, a predator. With violent instincts and territorial issues.
“You exist. You make me want you just by breathing. Everything about you appeals to me – your taste, your scent, the look on your face when I am deep inside you. I can’t go a single fucking day without touching you, without feeling you in my arms. I can’t even go a few hours. And it’s not enough, Mia . . . I want more. I want everything.”
But it's not all roses... These two knuckleheads refuse to have a normal human or alien discussion and just say what in their heads!! I get it sex is good but please just open your mouth and speak your mind!!!!!!!!
There is also a very real danger surrounding them and a Krinar conspiracy that is really suspenseful. They will have to battle their own selves, prejudices and plots if they don't kill themselves off having sex... (delicious way to go!)
Anna Zaires expands her world's limits giving us details, backstory and mythology. I loved the direction this book went and I'm really looking forward to reading more!

This was one of the first "alien-type" stories I've ever read and Anna has spoiled me for other paranormal books of this type. Like... No alien so far has ever been able to compare to Korum. Lol.
I mean, the only books I've read that were genre-similar to this that were able to maybe stand beside this series was Evangeline Anderson's Brides of the Kindred book series.

The saga of Mia & Korum continues!!
...and I'm still loving this Alien Erotica series...
The second book in the Krinar Chronicles places an emphasis on outside forces attempting to tear apart Human/Krinar relations as well as the budding relationship between Korum and Mia.
With Mia landing inside the Alien colony in Costa Rica, the reader is introduced to more Krinar culture and technology. This is certainly the author's forte - she consistently offers creative and detailed descriptions which help to create an interesting and elaborate visual...
The reader is introduced (Through Mia's experience) to language implants, detailed virtual reality simulations, impressive domestic technology, personal intuitive computers, and medical breakthroughs. In addition, The Krinar's Social and Political hierarchies are explained in detail.
I did feel, however, that the bit about Krinar evolution as a species was incorporated awkwardly in comparison to the Author's generally seamless style.
The brief outside perspective of the mysterious Krinar traitor scattered throughout the book were a nice touch.

How could she still feel like this after what he had put her through, after he had manipulated her like that? What kind of a person was she, to fall in love with an alien who had completely taken over her life?The sequel to Close Liaisons picks up right where we left off in book one. Mia must face the consequences of her involvement with the Human Resistance movement which attempted to overthrow the Krinar.
She felt disgusted with herself, yet she couldn’t help it. When he smiled like that, she could almost forget everything that happened in the sheer joy of simply being with him.

Best thing about the first half of this book was the house that cooked and cleaned and did the dishes for you. 👀🤩
I mean, that's basically my top fantasy. 🤷🏼♀️
Beyond that, I was super close to DNFing this book. Holy info-dump. I was completely buried in tedious world building. And then a boring trial, where the h just sat around and watched it like a movie. Sooooooooooooo boring. 😴😴😴
Around halfway, she gets a job, and things get a *little* more exciting. At least we aren't falling sleep watching her sit around watching paint peel. 😵💫
I was more than a little peeved that the one jealous scene we get from the H is just retold. We don't get to experience the wrath first hand. 😐😐😐 #wompwomp
There's some outside drama and action and a near miss. There's loads of sex, but the scenes were super repetitive:
✅ His eyes turn gold,
✅ he picks her up and carries her to a soft surface,
✅ she blushes,
✅ her nips pucker,
✅ then Tab A 🍆 goes in to Slot B 🍑
✅ queue loads of orgasms.
✅ Wash.
✅ Rinse.
✅ Repeat.
Any variation on that theme is told in newspaper reporter style (He loved me in all the wild ways imaginable...blahblahblah...) 👀🤨🙄
Sex scene or it didn't happen. 🤷🏼♀️😈
We did finally get the 💕I love yous 💕and now there's a nefarious mystery man creepily stalking the h... so that's fun. 🤷🏼♀️
Bottom Line? despite all my annoyances, I still ended up liking it ok over all. I'll likely read book 3 next. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

- OW drama - the H's ex bed buddy is called to the house because she's a doctor and the h gets jealous. With reason. The clueless H keeps praising her like she's God's Gift, and then asks to speak with her alone. It's never addressed beyond their first conversation revealing their previous relationship. They should have discussed it further.
- OM drama - we get an aside about the H being upset that her coworker was standing too close to her. Apparently the H threw a fit, but we only get this in a boring retelling.
- no dubcon
- H and h are only intimate with each other - h was virgin in previous book

Audiobook: Narrator – Roberto Scarlato
Love everything by this narrator! He has proven to be a reliable performer with both male and female characters and he does an exceptional job of Mia and Korum.
I am really enjoying this series and this book in particular. We get to see Mia and Korum as they actually develop into a deeper more meaningful relationship. Mia’s character is strengthened as she embraces her life with Korum and the “world” he lives in. While Korum is still over protective and a bit stalkery still, it is tempered by his desire to make Mia happy. That doesn’t mean he won’t track her as always, but that he allows her more freedom in her choices. This also has a darker undertone as the villain is still plotting his revenge against Korum and the other Krinar.
The ending is a freaking huge cliffhanger that made me glad I already had the next book available. I can’t wait to find out what the heck is going to happen now! I need more Mia and Korum!

This book picks up where the first book left off. The rebellion has been squashed and Mia's contribution to the resistance has been brought to light. Despite discovering Mia's betrayal, Korum is still determined to keep her by his side. Even plotting his demise isn't enough to chase off this extraterrestrial heartthrob!
As Mia watches the trial of the Krinar believed to be responsible, she slowly comes to terms with some of the lies she was told. She feels used and manipulated, both by the human resistance leaders and Korum. She's angry that Korum used her deception to his advantage. Mia's indignant attitude is a little self-righteous if you ask me. After all, she was plotting against him behind his back while keeping his bed warm at night.
Adjusting to her new life in the Krinar colony in Puerto Rico, Mia lands an internship at a Krinar lab and opens her mind to new experiences. She embraces Krinar enhancements and technologies. She even makes some new friends. She really seems to be well acclimated to the Krinar lifestyle by the end of the book.
Aside from adjusting to her new home, Mia has to work hard to repair the damage done to her relationship with Korum. Her betrayal wounded him deeply. Little by little, they patch things up, acknowledging that they cannot live without one another.
Things seem to be going smoothly for the two. Their newfound devotion to each other is strong. Korum even goes with Mia to meet her parents. Things are looking up.
Then, everything gets turned upside down! The self-titled, mysterious, "enemy" of Korum does something drastic. He's been lurking in the shadows throughout this book, stalking Korum and Mia. This guy is always watching. His full intentions are not revealed, but it is clear that his intent is sinister.
A deception of Korum's is revealed in the wake of the attack. It seems that he has some explaining to do. This time around, Mia truly has a right to be outraged. His secret actions undermine his feelings for Mia and reinforce her worry that she is little more than a possession to him.
I still have many unanswered questions and I can't wait to see how everything works out in the end. On to book 3 for me.

Ahh, apparently I liked this one much less than I did the first time around... Perhaps a reading slump is coming... I really shouldn't have re-read this series -.-' But it's Korum!

In this Book 2 Korum is definitely the good guy.... or he could be the bad guy..... damn you author !!!!! I still don't know. But he has bascially claimed Mia and taken her to the alien settlement on Earth, Lenkarda. Mia still doesn't know Korum's plans but he has promised to return her to her old life and allow her to see her family at times so she'll have to trust him. In the meantime she has a chance to experience all the technological advances of the Krinars and work in one of their research centers alongside one of the premiere Krinar scientists in mind studies. If she only knew how Korum really felt about her because she's starting to become addicted to him both sexually and companship wise. If only Earth women COULD mate with Krinars instead of being their pets.
Addicted to this series and author I am. Again, this is a different presentation in sci-fi erotic romance for me. But that's a good thing. The author has found a nitche that works. There is enough sci-fi to appeal to my love of that area along with a healthy amount of adult content erotica to heat up the enhance the romance aspect of this story. I do believe if word about these aliens would have gotten out and proven to be true in real life I would have been one of those people at the top of the sky scraper holding up signs and screaming too in the movie "Independence Day".
I continue to have screaming fits in parts of this story that frustrate me and/or have a vagueness that i can't stand. There are too many mystery elements that I HAVE TO KNOW ABOUT. Yes, the Rebellion has been silenced (pretty much) but who is left and what are his/her plans? And poor Mia. A normal college student one day, a Krinar magnet the next. Everyone wants her. lol.
My only issues with both books are that supposedly Mia is a psychology major. I am having a really hard hard time believing that as many parts of both books SHOULD have incorporated her skills in this field in dealing with different critical situations. Heck, even if she couldn't have used those skills just mentioning that would have appeased me. In this book I would have thought that she could have used some skill to handle a hostage negotiating situation a very pivotal scene. For all this character showed she could have been a fashion designer, food critic, or editor in some publishing company. The second issue is with the meal preparation/skills of Korum. Enough already with the repetitive food/meal prep slant. Unless it has something to do with the storyline (I'm still thinking there may be) I am starting to roll my eyes when he asks Mia if she's hungry.............

Better than the first book. The female mc is less TSTL this time around and there’s a villain. All enhanced the plot.

3 stars (tweaked down by .5)...I enjoyed this book, but after being reminded of another trilogy with a domineering lover with naive college student my love fizzed out a little.
What's Good
1) We learn about the Krinars' evolution...It was interesting.
2) Mia's not as naive. She's not Korum's equal yet, but there's promise.
3) Korum shows some softening around his sharp edges.
The Struggles
1) I didn't like how issues from book 1 weren't addressed. They were brushed under the rug. Plus Mia could be a poster girl for Stockholms. Her lack of free will should have been a bigger obstacle.
2) It's easier to accept vampires as immortals. The Krinars longevity was hard to accept, especially when one considers their ties to humans.
3) Some issues were repetitive, e.g. references to Korums size and Mia's slight struggles to accommadate. Also, Mia's feelings played on a loop.
I may or may not read the next book. I am interested Adam's story.

The world building is excellent and the character development is good in this second book in The Krinar Chronicles series.
The Hero is a great alpha male character and the secondary characters and their actions were interesting.
There is one thing that held me back from rating this futuristic novel four stars: the heroine, Mia. Mia is presented as rather plain, of average intelligence, and is a 21 year old college student. Why would a 2,000 year old, highly developed (physically and mentally), alien engineer fall for her? He wouldn't, because Mia's actions show that she is TSTL. She could have been written as naive, but intelligent and mature. Unfortunately, Mia acts like an immature twelve year old throughout the book.
If you can overlook the heroine this is an entertaining read. If you can't stand immature, grating heroines skip this series.

I enjoyed this one so much more than I enjoyed the first! This picked up where the first book left off, with Mia and Korum on their way to Costa Rica.
Costa Rica is a whole new world to Mia. She’s inside the Krinar compound, in Lenkarda, seeing how the Krinar live. She’s also reaped some benefits; freshly made clothes (by Korum, at the drop of a dime), an amazing opportunity to intern at the Krinar labs, and downloaded language into her brain. Korum shows Mia this little piece of his world; how his house works, making her lots of yummy food from their planet, and telling her of the laws of the Krinar people.
This second story was more sci-fi heavy, which was a nice change from New York. We’ve taken a break from the Resistance, just touching on the Keith’s trial. There’s still a threat for Mia, as proved by the anonymous K, and Saur and Leslies attempt to kill Korum. I’m interested to see how it all comes to a head in book 3.
Mia still annoyed the hell out of me, but she wasn’t as bad in this book. Korum was absolutely great; jealous/possessive, thoughtful when visiting Mia’s family (including curing not only her fathers migraines, but also her sisters mysterious pregnancy illness, and he’s still the bees fucking knees in bed!!

Close Obsession is the second book in the Krinar Chronicles by Anna Zaires. The story picks up where the first one left off: Mia has been taken to the major K centre, Lenkarda, in Costa Rica by her two-thousand-year-old alien lover, Korum. (Take that for an age difference Edward and Bella!) Apprehensive about being away from New York, Mia begins to wonder whether Korum will ever take her back to NYU and her former quiet life as a psychology student.
As with the first book, I loved the use of alien technology and the idea of vegetarianism as a normal way of life. Zaires also gives us a peek into the incredibly long history of the Krinar in regards to their origins, building on the unbelievably detailed accounts of how humans came into being in the first volume, Close Liaisons. I love how tangled our history was with theirs especially in regards to the Romans and gladiatorial events.
I loved Korum in Close Liaisons, and learning more about him Close Obsession made me love him even more. There’s something so sexy about a dominating male that I can’t resist, and although his methods and reasons may seem ruthless and unnecessary, he was really wrestling with his own demons, making him a ‘real’ person to me. I think people who are so arrogant and dominating find it hard to accept perceived ‘weaknesses’ in their personalities, so I liked seeing him struggle with his own feelings for Mia.
Their relationship, one-sided in the first book, has developed into something more than just sex for Korum. He’s left reeling as he realises the strength of his feelings for Mia. Although she cannot understand it, he does everything in his power to make her see just how beautiful and perfect she is to him. He goes out of his way to make a good impression with her parents and sister, he cares for her tenderly, feeds her, clothes her. Although sometimes misguided, it’s ultimately his love for her driving his world.
For Mia, real emotions developed in the first book, leaving her feeling conflicted for she both hated him and loved him at the same time. Korum has become even more possessive of Mia, and although she struggles with his feeling of entitlement, she eventually accepts it for the way it is: The Krinar are simply possessive, protective and predatory. When they consider something is theirs, they make damn sure everyone else knows about it.
Just quietly, I’d let Korum possess me any day.
A lot of other reviews have talked about everything I have above, but have forgotten one element of the book that needs to be recognised: the intriguing sections at the end of some chapters by a mysterious K whose identity doesn’t get revealed—even at the end when you think you’ve figured it all out. All the way through, I thought about who it could possibly be. I think I have it figured, but now just have to wait until the next book to see if I’m right.
A wonderfully creative imagination coming together with a vivid writing style creates a believable world I loved reading about. I can’t wait to get another fix of Mia and Korum’s story when I read the third installment: Close Remembrance.

OK, it has improved, but too late for me to up my rating.
I still find Mia too juvenile in her actions and her reasoning. I would have preferred her to be at leas 10 years older, hoping that then she would have been more mature. Thus the story could be more enjoyable for me. :D
Also Korum... what did he find so interesting in Mia is a total mistery to me! How a 2000 years old could fall for her I really don't know!
Still, I find myself hooked to the overall story.
I like the K race and history. Very fascinating either in customs and in behaviour, sometimes barbaric in the extreme, sometimes so very civilized.
I like the idea of Lenkarda with all the technological stuff - it was real good!
Strangely (blushing) I found the sex scenes to be repetitive ad nauseam - she was too tight, she was strugglings to accomodate Korum, he was too big, emormous, etc... Always the same! I started skipping them!
As before, I would read the last book with hope that Mia has grown up and just to find out who the mistery K is! :D

This is the second book in the series, which features our lovely couple Korum and Mia. It picks off right where book one leaves off. Korum has found out the truth about Mia, and Mia learns that Korum knew about her deception all along. But even though Korum feels betrayed by Mia’s actions, he also loves Mia and refuses to give up on what they have so he takes her with him to Costa Rica, where a village of the Krinar live so he can show her what his people are really like and not what she has been told by others (which are mostly lies). We see the trials and the justice system of the Krinar, we see other Krinar-Human pairings, we also get to meet Mia’s family and how Korum charms them and how much he is willing to do to make her happy. I really loved this book, because in book one was them getting to know each other mostly in a sexual way, and then we have the deception of them both. But in this book is where they start to really “learn” each other in other ways especially intellectually and emotionally.
There was still so much unresolved between them, but in this moment, she couldn’t bring herself to care about the way their relationship had started, about all the mutual lies and betrayals. In this moment, she knew only that she loved him, that every part of her longed to be with him.
There is so much emotion in this book, that I fell really hard for this one here. I mean the emotional intimacy between them is really so pivotal in their relationship. Its the true turning point where we go from hot sex to the real love and swoon moments you look forward to in a classic romance. It was wonderful to see Korum and Mia have such fun together, playing together in the ocean, Korum meeting Mia’s family and winning their hearts because they are important to Mia, so they are important to him as well. To meeting a couple of other couples including one couple (that is featured in a novella in the series that meet in Greece centuries earlier) We also see the true depth of their relationship as they learn to forgive the past actions of each other, and try to make a life together.

this was a winner .....I was hooked from word one till the end
i loved the details to the K world....those are some pretty cool stuff they have ( ＾∇＾) I could use some of those inventions
I fell more and more for Korum here.....and Mia grew more as a character here as well....it was a really nice development for their relationship, even with all the bumps they had to go through.
the mysterious obsessed dude/alien was pretty creppy....looks like he got a new obsession when Mia showed up

After reading Close Liaisons, I was really anticipating the sequel. The action picked up right where the last book left off. We learn more about Krinar technology, gadgets, history and legal system in this book, and Anna Zaires has created a fascinating culture. It truly is better than most other science fiction romance books I have read, with a much greater emphasis on the devices, food and history of the Krinar people. Zaires is very imaginative and technological advances are folded into everyday life in interesting ways. She is also artful in the way that she slowly reveals aspects of the Krinar society within the plot - and Krinars' mysterious connection to Earth's civilization. As a reader, you feel that same frustration with a lack of knowledge about the Krinars that Mia evidently experiences. Then, a few pages later, more is revealed. It is a little like peeling back the layers to get to the core of the story. Zaires has left plenty of teasers about Krinar society to keep an entire series going.
The descriptions of the K colony are very good and we finally meet some other Krinar people. Interestingly though, the slightly sinister tone that was evident in the first book continues. You never know quite who to trust, and that is what makes this book a page turner.
The sex is frequent, and Korum's obsession with Mia continues unabated. Probably my one criticism is the lop-sided relationship that continues in this sequel between Korum and Mia. I never quite get over the feeling that she is a treasured object rather than an equal partner, and I never fully understand what attracts the very powerful, very intelligent and very ancient Korum to a relatively inexperienced girl in her early 20s. But, like the layers of Krinar society, we get these interesting glimpses of Korum's emotions also being peeled back. And perhaps Book 3 will introduce more complex and mature layers to Mia. I expect no less from the talented Ms. Zaires.

I really enjoyed reading this second book of the Krinar Chronicles. An intense relationship, fascinating technology and a truly imaginative and unique view of what it would be like to live in a world where humans are no longer the dominant species really kept my interest. Anna Zaires made me feel like I was really learning about a culture so alien yet at the same time so similar to our own. What would it be like to try to be in a relationship when there is really no realistic way to be on equal footing? How much can love bridge the gap of age, of power, of culture?
Both Mia and Korum change a lot during the course of this book - while love and intense attraction has carried them through betrayal for the first time they start to see things from each other's perspective and admit their feelings towards one another. While love came effortlessly it seemed trust truly had to be earned over time.
I am very much looking forward to reading more!

This book was far better than the first one. That being said, Korum was still sexually forceful. He treated Mia like a child most of the book, and then like a sex toy for the rest. Why? Because he loved her so much (from the second he saw her) that he didn't know how to deal with his emotions. *gag* Nevermind that this mother fucker is TWO THOUSAND years old and claims constantly that he's more mature and evolved than his puny little human sex toy.
Also, he raped her in a club full of people. Yes... it turned out to be virtual reality, but she didn't know that and she told him to stop. She was humiliated and completely upset and he STILL took what he wanted. 😒
And one more thing: Why all the fucking vegetable descriptions? I found myself skipping over them... because, Jesus, I don't care what her stupid vegetarian meals look and taste like. ¡Dios mio!

Much of this book is focused on Mia settling into life with Korum on Lenkarda.
We see her struggle to come to terms with her decisions and life as she now sees it. It's still sexy but this 2nd instalment is much more emotionally. It felt like less 'big' events happened in this one but we certainly learn more about our characters.

This book gave a lot of description about the Krinar world. It was slow at times, and the sex scenes were so repetitive that I skipped through them. However, the mystery kept me going. We have yet to see more from this mysterious Krinar....who can it be? I'm a big fan of Korum, and am looking forward to continuing on with this series.

I was hesitant to read this book because I didn't like much the first one. In the end, I went by impulse and purchase it. Boy, am I glad I did. The second installment is so much better. You will not regret buying it even if the first one wasn't that good for you.

"Loved this story!!"
The only thing I didn't care for was the narrator's voice. While it was not bad, there was no depth to it. All of the characters sounded the same. I felt that my listening experience would've been so much better if the narrator could've switched it up a little.

Quei sentimenti che erano nati nei giorni passati insieme si stanno facendo più forti e profondi, anche se allo stesso tempo contrastanti.
Ma anche se a Lerkarda è sotto la protezione di Korum, essendo la sua charl, i pericoli sono comunque dietro l’angolo.
La Resistenza ha ancora qualche asso nella manica ed è intenzionata a far pagare la loro sconfitta a Korum… e a chi gli sta attorno.
In questo secondo volume l’autrice ci fa esplorare questa esotica e misteriosa razza aliena, così diversa ma anche così simile a noi.
Mia, in questo capitolo, si trova ad affrontare i suoi sentimenti, sia ciò che prova per Korum che quelli provati quando ha scoperto che lui l’ha usata nella lotta contro la Resistenza.
Amore e odio fanno parte di Mia, che non riesce a staccarsi da lui. Korum ha preso controllo della sua vita facendole provare emozioni e sensazioni nuove e travolgenti, ma la paura di rimanere ferita e che presto tutto finisca è sempre presente.
“A quel punto, non si fidava completamente della spiegazione di Korum su cosa fossero le charl. Quando John aveva parlato del rapimento della sorella, c’era troppo dolore nella sua voce per essere una menzogna. E le azioni di Korum stesse rispettavano più ciò che mi aveva detto John, che la sua versione.”
La nostra protagonista deve ancora trovare fiducia in se stessa e la forza di combattere e ottenere ciò che desidera.
Soprattutto visto che ha attirato l’attenzione di un altro Krinar…
Korum si è rivelato ancora più possessivo rispetto a come lo avevamo incontrato nel precedente volume, a suo modo ci fa vedere quanto per lui conti Mia, un modo completamente diverso da come ci aspettiamo normalmente.
“Perché mi hai irradiato? Non avevo ancora incontrato la Resistenza a quel punto, quindi non avevi bisogno di tenermi d’occhio per il tuo grande piano…” “ Perché volevo esser sempre capace di trovarti,” disse e c’era una nota di possessione nelle sue parole che mi impaurì. “Ti tenevo tra le braccia quel giorno, e sapevo che volevo di più. Volevo tutto, Mia. Tu sei stata mia dal quel momento e non avevo nessuna intenzione di perderti, neanche per un istante.”
Nuovi aspetti della razza dei Krinar ci vengono svelati e inganni e sotterfugi rischiano di mettere a repentaglio diverse vite, tra cui quella della nostra protagonista.
Una lettura scorrevole e veloce, che poco a poco ci fa scoprire un’altra razza attraverso gli occhi di un’umana, che al tempo stesso ne è affascinata e timorosa.
Questa storia ha in se diverse pennellate del genere Dark-Romance, genere di cui non leggo molto e che personalmente non piace molto, ma rispetto al primo romanzo l’ho trovato più leggero.
Sia perché la relazione tra i due protagonisti si è gradualmente evoluta, sia perché l’autrice ci sta trascinando nel fulcro dell’azione. Questa storia fa da primo piano ad un mondo che si è dovuto adattare ad un’altra identità. E movimenti di resistenza stanno lavorando per ottenere i loro scopi sia tra gli umani che tra i Krinar...

Eccomi con il secondo libro della serie “Le Cronache dei Krinar" di Anna Zaires, "Ossessioni Intime”, in uscita il prossimo 15 Maggio grazie a Mozaika Publications, in cui continua la storia di Mia e Korum.
Dopo la sconfitta della Resistenza, Mia e Korum andranno a Lenkarda, la Colonia più importante dei Krinar in Costa Rica.
Mia sente che la sua libertà sta svanendo, anche se Korum le ha promesso che presto la porterà a visitare la sua famiglia e che il loro soggiorno alla colonia è per proteggerla.

Wanted some trash alien porn and this was recommended to me. I'm going to post the same review for all three books b/c I'm consistent like that.
Basically, this book has an EXCELLENT PREMISE AND WORLD but TERRIBLE CHARACTERS.
The idea that another species created humans, came back to check on their experiment, decided we done fucked up, and is like "nah I got this" is kind of neat.
What's not neat is this weird 50 shades of gray dude (controlling asshole) with a twist of Twilight (blood sucker). Korum sexually coerces Mia (oh, hi rape) because he just couldn't help himself! He wanted her soooooo bad! She's literally scared TO DEATH of him but somehow he's sexy? He's salty about her "betrayal" but lol he done did the same? Okay.
This is textbook abuse: mental, physical and emotional. He is constantly controlling her, her actions, but somehow she accepts it as his form of love. He literally had a tracker implanted in her. In addition to a listening device! But never fear, it was justified b/c it helped in the Great Danger she was in, phew! Thank goodness disregarding her bodily autonomy was proven to be the right decision.
I could go on and on, but no need. I read the three books (I was bored and desperate) but the only thing I thought was interesting was the actual world itself.

first off the book description on the back cover is not telling the truth a few examples everything is sunshine, hearts and friggin rainbows i say this because for most of the book they have cool equipment, gadgets, Nanos etc. it also piss me off when on the back of the book it states mia "With no way to leave and no idea how to operate even the most basic Krinar technology "BUT IN THE FIRST 80 PAGES SHE SAYS EVERYTHING IS SO EASY WITH K TECHNOLOGY it was just to how ooowww and errs for me i only enjoyed the last 40 pages to be honest it took me ages to read this book as i just didn't see any real progress in the story and its repetitive i gave the first book an amazing 6 stars because it was very good but the second book 2.5 it was just not anything interesting the family loved him mia had everything so it wasn't wow for me sadly i have got book 3 but unless i read in a comment its worth reading its probably going to sit on a shelf sadly
ho and before i finish what's with the bloody salad's how amazing can a salad be everyday for breakfast, lunch and dinner Nar could have jazzed it or not mentioned it a million times i love salad and eating nicely but in every other page it was a filler x
