Charlie Fletcher is an award-winning novelist, and a screenwriter for film and TV. He’s written many books, most recently THE TWO OF US AT THE END OF THE WORLD, a speculative fiction for adults. He wrote his first novel STONEHEART for his children, which was shortlisted for the 2007 Branford Boase Award for the year’s outstanding debut novel for young people. IRONHAND and SILVERTONGUE completed the Stoneheart trilogy, later augmented by the DRAGONSHIELD trilogy. As his children have grown up, so has his target audience: FAR ROCKAWAY was the transition novel between YA and his Adult Fiction which began with THE OVERSIGHT SERIES -THE OVERSIGHT, THE PARADOX and THE REMNANT, a dark fantasy set in early Victorian London.
Writing as C.A. Fletcher, the post-apocalyptic A BOY AND HIS DOG AT THE END OF THE WORLD won the Alexa Award from the America Librarians’ Association, and the Folk Horror DEAD WATER won ‘The Children of The Night’ Award from The Bram Stoker Society. Which is not a Booker… but might just be the coolest name for any literary prize, ever.
